Guest Reviews
- Angela (9/5): A very special place- don’t miss it - Our stay at Heatherbank was restful and cozy. We felt welcomed and cared for in the thoughtful details of the peace- places to put our wet things near the door, heaters on, extra blankets, tea and coffee and biscuits, fully equipped kitchen and comprehensive instructions. The tartan carpet in the hall was a special reminder of where we were! Lots of eco-conscious practices Jim and Pauline have implemented which were great and helped us minimise our footprint as visitors(we had to get used to the hot water availability but we are glad they had the system in place). The garden was lovely and views of the hills behind (from the kitchen) and the loch in front (from kitchen, main bed and lounge) were captivating- we sat by the windows for hours. We really felt embedded in the place and landscape, which was special. Jim and Pauline were welcoming and responsive as needed, and helped us with guidance on the best hike for the weather on the day. Supermarket 10min away was well equipped Nothing
- Derek (10/5): We look forward to staying at Heatherbank again - Spotlessly clean, superb location, everything we needed.
- Andrew (9/5): -
- Cath (10/5): -
- Catherine (10/5): Comfortable clean with exceptional views - Immaculate well equipped beautiful views
- Jeff (10/5): A spacious retreat to enjoy the area and enjoy each others company. - So much room. The place was immaculate. Felt like a home away from home.
- Dolev-Cohen (10/5): -
- Christine (10/5): -
- Fameena (10/5): 2 nights - Cottage was very clean and warm. nothing
- Fred (10/5): Very comfortable, clean and peaceful - We were on a road trip in UK. This cottage was our stay for 4 days. Loved every bit of it. Well kept place. Gracefully hosts. Love to come back again in future Everything was great
- Ganit (10/5): A stunning and luxurious home – it looks even better in reality than in the pictures -

- Jennifer (9/5): Lovely cottage but could not fully relax. - The cottage was beautifully presented and had been recently decorated but had very light coloured carpeting in living room and bedroom which made us slightly nervous of any possible spills or marks. We had a dog with us and it rained while we were there so we were concerned about letting him into the living room. We were surprised by a visit from the owner who we did not realise lived next door. We had been in the cottage for a few hours before he came to the door. He was pleasant but asked how long we were staying. We actually stayed 2 nights.
- Anne (10/5): Lovely property, great locetion, stunning views - Tastefully renovated property, in a quiet location. Well located for discovering the area around Glencoe and Fort William. With two bathrooms and 2 beds it is perfect for 2 couples to share. The views from the lounge and garden across the lake are stunning.
The owner, Jim, was on hand to help with arrival and gave some great tips about the local area and our next destination, Skye.
- Beth (7/5): Good - Beautiful view. We feel it was over priced. The shower did not drain properly in the main bedroom. We also felt the living area and the dining area were too separated.
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional - The view was fantastic, and there was a lovely outdoor patio. The cottage had everything we needed and was quite large.
- Stacy (10/5): Beautiful and relaxing! - Gorgeous views of lake. Comfortable beds and lots of space inside. Carpets could use updating. Needs a place to put your stuff in the bathroom. There is no countertop.
- Hilary (9/5): Memorable and comfortable stay in an incredible location - The space, the comfort, the view, the facilities Oven took long time to heat
Pegs need replacing
- Murdo (10/5): Easily one of the best bookings I've made. Ideal for two couples. Stunning views, clean, and a welcoming host. Beaut - This was probably the best booking for a short stay I've ever made. Outstanding all round. Nothing it was perfect for our group.
- Simon (9/5): Superb -
- Tim (10/5): Phenomenal cottage! Best place we've stayed - The cottage and everything.in it looked brand new. The landscaping and view were spectacular. Having someplace in the bathroom to set toiletries. The bowl on a platform type of sink is not a good design. Adding a shelf or small table would help.
- Robert (9/5): Beautiful panoramic view of the loch from the living room. Rooms were comfortable, clean and quiet. -
- Muthukrishnan (9/5): Superb -
- Rob (10/5): an immaculate cottage with outstanding views -
- Finlay (9/5): Delightful Cottage stay - Delightful cottage located close to fort william and glencoe. Very comfortable furnishings. Quiet neighborhood close to Loch Linnhe and Corran ferry. nothing
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Craig (10/5): Loved our stay here - Beautiful place with a wonderful view. Great location close to Glencoe and Ft William Spacious, Clean and beautifully decorated
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shirley (10/5): Relaxing, peaceful, comfortable and in a beautiful location. - Beautiful location with direct access to the local beach and easy access to the surrounding area for exploring. I guess in a perfect world there would be a small enclosed area of the garden to allow dogs off lead for but, having said that, there's plenty of areas around the cottage to walk dogs so it's only a very minor point.
- Luca (10/5): Exceptional - fantastic view and location, very clean, very cozy, very comfortable
- Vivek (10/5): Exceptional - We had a perfect stay at Jim and Pauline's beautiful cottage.. the cottage has amazing views and all the amenities we needed.. its perfectly located to explore the Highlands..
- Nora (10/5): Brilliant. - Absolutely brilliant stay in Heatherbank Cottage. Great welcome from Jim our host. House was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Really well stocked kitchen. Thanks for welcome tray. Lovely comfortable beds and great shower/bathroom. Loved the personal and friendly greeting and information on the area. Delightful location looking out on the lake. Nothing. Would love to have stayed longer.
- Iulia (10/5): A beautiful holiday home - The bungalow was beautifully presented, clean, well equipped and quick to warm up after a day out. Wonderful views of the loch from the spacious and warm lounge and the main bedroom.
- Ann (10/5): A lovely stay in a very quiet location with a gorgeous view. Totally clean and functioning perfectly -
- Liz (10/5): Gorgeous place to stay, recommend staying at least a few days or more to make the most of it - Everything was wonderful. The cottage is gorgeous, close to everything in the Fort William area. Communications through the Booking.com app was a bit patchy
- Duncan (8/5): Great views, great accommodation - would go again - Beautiful cottage, very spacious. Great views The heating and hot water. Didn't find the boost button at the start. Didn't realise the water took a while to heat so there were a couple of cold showers
- Aditya (10/5): Exceptional - It was amazing the place was perfect for a vacation with good facilities amazing host and a lovely atmosphere. Dont have words to describe how amazing our stay was. Would highly recommend
- Caroline (9/5): Superb -
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Luke (10/5): Exceptional - Great view of the loch and mountains from the floor-to-ceiling glass doors in the living room. Very comfortable and sizeable space with new and modern furnishings throughout. My bed was stellar too.

- Marlene (10/5): An excellent few days in a stunning location - The cottage is beautiful, excellent layout very well equipped and exceptionally clean. The view from the cottage is stunning. Enjoyed it so much we are returning in October Nothing
- Sarah (9/5): Great place to stay. Perfect base to explore or just enjoy the gorgeous views from the property itself - Everything. Warm, inviting and well equipped Nothing
- Esteban (10/5): Amazing and luxury weekend - The views from the cottage are incredible. It is an incredible area for walks and relax
- Krystal (8/5): Loved it and would happily return over and over again! - The layout of the property, accessibility and cleanliness were great! The views are exceptional! Nothing to dislike but there were no wee “added extras” free toiletries was advertised and this was only soap. There was a fire advertised and this was only an electric fire. Have stayed in numerous properties where little thoughtful things were included, visitors book with handy information, little packets of biscuits, shampoo/conditioner etc. none of these things are essential and did not negatively impact our stay at all. Just something to consider for future. These wee things make a difference
- Faye (10/5): Beauitful scenic cottage, the owners have thought of everything you could want during your stay - Beautiful location with lots of space and everything you could possibly need for your stay. Lovely friendly owners who were happy to help with any enquires and very accommodating for our dogs.
