Guest Reviews
- Toni (10/5): - This was just the country escape that I needed! So calming and peaceful. The hosts were friendly and helpful, the hut was clean and comfortable and the views were beautiful. I'll definitely come back to stay again! Thank you

- Judith (9/5): A peaceful relaxing break in lovely surroundings. - The site was perfect, very peaceful, lovely view across open fields. Lots of wildlife. Shepherds hut very cosy with everything we could possibly need. Very friendly staff . Facilities good, hot showers, clean toilets. Location great for the beach and for exploring more of North Norfolk. Wonderful breakfast hamper delivered every morning was a lovely addition. Nothing really but perhaps a bit of weeding and tidying up in the glamping area and by the toilets.
- Gillian (4/5): OK for a couple of nights but really not 'glam'- ping - Location convenient. Shepherd hut and equipment generally serviceable and bed was comfortable enough. Breakfast supplied was plentiful and ok quality. Site is untidy and rather depressing, with overgrown grass, piles of debris and dead plants in planters. Facilities and layout not well signposted (in fact not really signposted at all).
Toilets are just about ok, but shower facilities very poor. Many were out of use during my stay and those in use were dirty (old dirt and mould, not just dirt from immediate heavy use). Basics like light bulbs not fixed, thus reducing the usable showers - at one point we were down to ONE for a largish site at a very busy time of year.
My shepherd hut, including its balcony and outdoor chairs/table, was a little run down and rickety. Windows in the hut have no catches, so have to be either fully open (and blowing around in the wind) or fully closed (sweltering).
Overall feeling of being ripped off - this felt like very poor value for money at c. £250 for two nights. Would not recommend unless (as we were) desperate.

- hilary (9/5): Glamping experience - First time glamping. It was so peaceful and relaxing, eating breakfast out in the sun. We would definitely return. X
- J (8/5): - Bluebell shepards hut was lovely cosy and the eggs was touch The garden area was a little tired, shame the shower hut next to the hut not fixed up yet
- Jagdeep (8/5): Great breakaway with very nice staff and beautiful scenery. 😎👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 - It was very well equipped for the amount of space you have. The staff was very helpful & pleasant and the breakfast was really good, with a great selection of food and presented in a picnic basket which was very cute. The communal toilets & wash area was very clean. 👍 I thought the outdoor showers in our glamping area was a very good idea but when we tried them they didn’t work (no water was connected)! Also there was an outdoor shower and toilet in our glamping area which didn’t work. But the communal toilets & shower were exceptionally clean. Also I think a gate in our area so the dogs cannot escape would be a nice touch. 👍👌😎
- Howard (8/5): Lovely place to chill - Fabulous location, very friendly staff, comfy bed..fire pit and hammock overlooking the flower meadow were my favourite bits..5 min walk to the beach. The toilets and showers were a little 'rustic' , could do with a tidy up around that area as there was alot of weeds etc to walk through around the path
- Michelle (8/5): Super cute stay for couple and their dog. Perfect location. Amazing breakfast hamper. - Super cute stay, loved the cabin and facilities. Location to the beach and fire pit. Welcoming staff and very cute breakfast hamper :) Nothing
- Tammy (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful site, so peaceful. Everything we needed for a relaxing few days, cannot recommend enough. Will definitely book again :) Everything was perfect.
- Nisey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Micke (9/5): Peaceful beach stay - We spent two nights in a Shepherds Hut with our dog. We received a warm welcome on arrival from Nigel, who showed us around the campsite and the facilities. Our hut had a beautiful view out over a meadow where we enjoyed watching the sunset by the fire.
The hut itself was clean, cosy and kitted out with the essentials (extra blankets, tea making facility and storage). We really enjoyed the breakfast basket that was delivered to our door in the mornings- a really special touch by the owners!
Having access to a small communal kitchenette was helpful to store and warm up some food. Washing-up supplies were provided as well.
This is a great place for a quiet getaway with your dog as it is so close to Heacham beach (not a 10min walk away!). We walked our dog there from the campgrounds and were very grateful to have the use of a dog-washing station on our return!
Just note that there are free-roaming chickens on the property and plenty of other dogs around.
Overall, highly recommended!
Thank you for a lovely stay!

- Sarah (10/5): Fabulous shepherd hut - Had a fabulous time here with my dog. We stayed in one of the shepherd huts, which was super cosy with a beautiful view over fields. It's in a great location - close to the beach and away from the crowds. We received a warm welcome when we arrived,
and service throughout our stay was impeccable. Loved the daily breakfast delivery. I feel very relaxed after a few days in a hut by the beach. We will return!
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nathaniel (8/5): Very good - Cozy
- Stephen (3/5): Poor -
- Kirstie (10/5): Exceptional - Staff all very friendly and helpful. Shepards hut ... simply wonderful, warm, cosy, and perfect. Fab facilities are well equipped. All areas clean ( bathrooms, kitchen, loos) . Great location for coastal walks, beaches, and lots of attractions.
- Julie (9/5): Superb -
- Victoria (8/5): Nice get away - Nice shepherd’s hut Showers and toilets average but close
- Sharon (8/5): Very good - The location was great. There were too many giant cushions on the floor. There could have been move space if these were removed.
- Alexandra (8/5): Very good - Quaint little shepherd's hut, very well decorated and it has everything you need for spending a long weekend. The bed is very confortable, there's power and a tap outside and logs and kiddling to get your camping fire going. Just need to bring your sundries really. And there's a small supermarket right opposite the road and a bus stop 15 minutes walking distance. And a coffee shop with food down on the beach (5 minutes away). And a cool pub 10-15 minutes walking distance (Silver Sands). Just a reminder this is a camping ground so you need to walk to the toilets (which are good). You also have other camping fellows very close, some were very noisy during our stay so bring your ear plugs and eye shades if you are a light sleeper. And there are creatures like spiders and flying insects as this is in the middle of nature after all, so bring your insect repellent if you bother. The beach is a little muddy but interesting for bird (and people) watching.
- Carl (9/5): Superb -
- Stilgoe (10/5): Exceptional - This is one of the best short breaks we've had it was comfortable and the surroundings were fantastic we can not wait to go back
- Anammf (8/5): Very good - The location, clean and friendliness. Tents too close to each other. Had an awful night with a group staying just behind me, chatting and laughing very loud until 4am despite asking them to keep quiet. There should be silence hours policy.
- Amy (9/5): Superb -
- Martins (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was brilliant 👏
- John (10/5): Great location and superb accommodation - Everything, loved the views from the Shepherds hut ..Our first experience living in one and highly recommended, loved the firepit and all the facilities.. Thanks There was nothing not to like
- Korina (8/5): Very good - The shepherds hut which we stayed in (buttercup)was lovely, just enough room for 2 people. Campsite was great just by the beach which we walked to in a couple of minutes. Owners were lovely, bringing us breakfast basket each morning which was a nice touch. Showe facilities were clean.
- Carol (6/5): Pleasant -
- Rachael (10/5): We had an incredible stay x so warm, cosy and cared for - It was so cute- perfectly decorated and served every need x Nothing x
- Diane (9/5): Cosy and peaceful - The hut was amazing clean and cozy. The breakfast basket was a lovely gesture. The joint facilities were very dirty from floor to ceiling. There were cobwebs everywhere!! The grounds needed a bit of tlc.
- Mandy (8/5): Great location for the beach and a lovely view! - Ideal location, close to the beach. Lovely cosy cabin with a great view. The description on booking.com stated 1 bathroom so I had assumed it would be within the cabin not in a nearby shower/toilet block. Although it wasn't too much of an issue it was a surprise when we arrived.
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lynne (10/5): Exceptional - A little slice of heaven on earth!
- Elaine (9/5): so relaxing , an amazing place to stay. - The breakfast was a welcome surprise, was not in the booking information ,
Carol and Nigel made us feel so welcome, and are so friendly , We have been before as campers but being in one of the shepherds huts was special,
the view and surrounding area was amazing, counted 31 hares in the field one morning ,x only one thing, the room designated for the shepherds huts , where you can use a fridge, toaster and microwave needs a large sign on the outside saying who has booked it, I had two people and a dog in there, when I went to make toast, they were busy making scrabble egg in the microwave for their 3 dogs, ? and said how great it was to have these facilities when camping .
- Beavis (9/5): Superb -
- Anthony (9/5): Superb - Very surprised at how comfortable the hut was enjoyed stay
- Jackie (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely cosy and quiet hut, excellent location, and very well equipped. Having not stayed in a shepherds hut before, we weren't quite sure what facilities it contained, but very pleasantly surprised. Would definitely stay again. Nothing to not like really.
- Anonymous (10/5): The campsite is in a great location, has a very nice and helpful host, (Nigel) who can’t do enough for you. There is ple - Clean and tidy, great location, friendly and helpful host, great value for money. n/a

- Paul (9/5): Great stay, great experience. - it was a cute property. A great experience. Everything & more of what you need. Loved the fire outside & the view. Watched wildlife while we chilled outside. Nothing really. just feel area around it could do with a tidy. more showers.

- Christina (8/5): Very good -
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fiona (10/5): It was extremely comfortable and anything that we needed was available. - The breakfast was a bonus. I didn't realise it was included. There was a good choice of cereals yoghurt bread and spreads. There was nothing l could fault the site on.
- Lorna (10/5): Exceptional - Quiet, scenic setting close to the beach with great walks. Nothing
- Malcolm (9/5): An experience that we didn’t expect to have as we booked last minute but surprisingly impressed. - Excellent comfortable bed
Beautifully furnished
Excellent breakfast hamper
Good location for us Site was a little untidy.
Could do with a little more landscaping

- Claire (10/5): Relaxing Fabulous Break - Lovely Breakfast Basket Nothing
- Lewis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Matthew (9/5): One night stay - couple - Staff are really nice and the free wood for the fire pit was absolutely awesome. Gas stove and cooking utensils provided where top quality.
- Deidre (8/5): just what I needed for a quiet weekend getaway! - the hut was beautifully fitted out and very comfortable. the view onto the open fields made it feel as though I was in the middle of nowhere- just what I was looking for. The staff were very friendly and helpful and great with my crackers dog! very little. another light in the hut might have been useful.
- Moira (8/5): Very good -
