Guest Reviews
- Guro (10/5): Gorgeous country cottage with a well stocked kitchen and charming open fire. - Lovely cottage with a beautiful big kitchen with great appliances and utensils. It was the type of kitchen that just makes you want to bake, so I ended up making crumbles (with apples and blackberries from the garden), pancakes, scones and bread.
I also loved the open fire, super cosy! The WiFi doesn’t reach into any of the bedrooms, so it would be hard to work from the cottage. Luckily I didn’t have to, so it was all fine!

- Angela (7/5): Very enjoyable stay in the area - Location was good, fabulous kitchen Not enough comfortable chairs in living space for number of people staying,

- Michelle (8/5): - Lovely quiet country setting. Very clean and lovely location. Would definitely go back again. Kids enjoyed their stay too.
- luka (9/5): Wonderful cottage! Great value for money and a well cared for house - Excellent stocked kitchen, cozy cottage to relax in, fantastic value for money. The fireplace chimney may have needed a little clean as a small fire filled the room with a good bit of smoke we needed to air out. other than that, fantastically cozy!
- Kaspars (10/5): Exceptional - Loved the country feeling all around. It's a great house if you want to get away from civilization and enjoy the countryside.firepllace and smell from it gives extra cottage feeling.kitchen has everything you might need even coffee and tea e.t.c There is a lake 1km away. It's PET friendly too.Overall ENJOYED STAY HERE AND DEFINETLY BE BACK.
- Claire (7/5): Good - Beautiful location, very peaceful, country walks. The kitchen was exceptionally well stocked. The host did everything possible to make us welcome and answer our inquiries. We only stayed one night, and found it a very restful place to be. Unfortunately the beautiful open fire smoked very badly and filled the room with smoke. It must have happened before because there are smoke stains above on the wall. The water was badly discoloured, and smelt bad. Our host provided drinking water and is transparent about the water not being drinkable, but I wouldn't even want to wash in it.
- Kasia (10/5): Exceptional - Locations Na
- Mechery (10/5): Exceptional - We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this charming cottage. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and at home. The property was spotless, cozy, and beautifully decorated, with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was well-equipped, the bed was very comfortable, and we loved relaxing by the fireplace in the evenings.
The location was peaceful and scenic, perfect for a relaxing retreat. We also enjoyed exploring the nearby trails and attractions — it’s a great spot for both nature lovers and those looking to unwind.
The hosts were incredibly responsive and thoughtful, providing great recommendations and making sure we had everything we needed. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a quiet, rejuvenating escape. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!
- Wendy (9/5): Lovely house, quiet location - Loved the property location and facilities, kitchen was amazing and so well stocked.
- Katharina (4/5): Sorry but will not return ...it had menchioned towels supplied but they were not full body ones . - Unfortunaly this house was 25 mins from anything Very bad water 💧 should of been informed of how bad water was .. having a shower was horrible the smell of limscale from it and hair felt like straw all weekend ..brushing teeth was so.awkard ...the kettle was destroyed in limscale it had bits left in it ..so had to go all weekend without tea n coffee . grass in area was way to over grown ...a.lawmover would of made it look better ...
- Armands (10/5): Beautiful experience - Beautiful, charming and really atmospheric - amazing place to stay if you want to experience cosiness of lovingly restored cottage.
We loved every minute of it and the evening by the fire (it worked perfectly for us) was so nice - after day exploring beauty of the Burren.
Spotted first snowdrops in the garden- first signs of spring.
Thanks so much for the beautiful start of February.
- Katarína (7/5): Good - Eva was very helpful. The house was clean. The kitchen could have better lighting, but it was spotless. The bedding is very light. I could use an extra blanket.
- Sudev (3/5): Great location and a decent property, but the dusty interior and poorly maintained exterior need attention. - The property is situated in a lovely location and exudes an old rustic charm. The entire house has significant dust, and both my partner and I fell quite ill with breathing issues shortly after returning. Additionally, the exterior of the property is in extremely poor condition, showing clear signs of neglect. To make matters worse, the heating ran out on our last day, adding to the discomfort of our stay.
- Katalin (10/5): The perfect time travel - We simply fell in love. This place is like going back in time, but with all modern age amenities. We loved the huge kichen and the classic wooden furniture, the beds were oh so comfortable. There was a lot of food and everything was pristine. We brought our own wellies and headlamps, but there were even sone in the house. Eva is very attentive and answered all our questions right away. The area and the Burren is amazing for fellow walkers and hikers with or without dogs. We are hoping to be back for a longer stay. Everything was great! We can’t thank the owners enough to share this wonderful house. We could smell the smoke in the sitting room, but that was mentioned earlier, that the owners are trying to find a solution for. Please don’t! I would hate to see that classic fire and it’s character and charm to be replaced by something modern.
- Duggan (6/5): Remote farmhouse - didn't realise it was so far from everything - The kitchen. Well equipped kitchen. Overgrown garden and open fireplace. Terrace mentioned but everything was so overgrown we didn't see any terrace. Afraid to use fireplace as it looks like it would make the room very smoky.
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rebecca (8/5): Idyllic, comfortable country cottage in a great location. Lovely host. - Peaceful, off the beaten track location. Comfortable beds. Large bathroom with bath & shower, lots of lovely towels & even a few toiletries ☺️
There’s an actual library of books at property, so if you enjoy a good book, happy days!
Well equipped kitchen, Eva has thought of everything you’d possibly need there. Lovely village of Tulla just up the rd has a SuperValu, pharmacy etc. Huge fireplace in sitting room with plenty of wood to burn. We didn’t light it. But there is a strong bonfire smell the minute you open the front door. Eva did explain about the fire & is hoping to improve it.
The lighting is very dim and we couldn’t get TV to work, we were only staying one night & I’m sure Eva would have done her best to fix it for us if we were staying longer. We did message her & she did respond. So it could have been something we were doing wrong 😊
Be sure to bring slippers as the floors on ground floor are stone . Look amazing but would be cold on bare feet.
- Kevin (7/5): Good -
- Pauline (9/5): Superb -
- Ann (9/5): We had a great stay, sun shone too which is always a bonus. - It was a lovely quiet country location, beds were very comfortable, kitchen was stocked with food which host told us to feel free to use, lovely house would def return.
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - It was perfect. Cozy and private. Close to Shannon airport. Just need a sign out by road. Driveway is overgrown and hard to spot.
- Crazy (10/5): Exceptional - They left loads of food and stuff you would need to have like toothbrushes Location is hard to get to
- Patrick (8/5): Very good -
- Amy (9/5): Rural & peaceful getaway!! - We fell in love with this house, and didn’t want to leave … the silence and peacefulness was incredible Nothing
