Guest Reviews
- Deirdre (10/5): A truly beautiful house in a stunning location, views of the lake from every room. -
- Patrick (10/5): Extremely comfortable and very enjoyable. Host was easy to contact and very responsive. - Excellent property with great views. Interior of house is clean and comfortable. Everything one might need is included; washing facilities, kitchen and cleaning equipment to name a few. Entrance is set on a dangerous, blind section of road. Maybe a mirror or two could be useful if put up.
- Jesse (10/5): Great lake house experience. - All the little extras made us feel right at home. Had tea, cookies and coffee ready to go on counter. Location was central to limerick and cliffs of moher. Decor was amazing and all of the windows made for awesome views of the lake.
- Corina (9/5): Lovely break - Overall, it is a nice location with a beautiful view. Perfect for groups. Not recommended to families with kids. Floors/stairs are very sleepery....
- Kristofer (10/5): Calm waters - View is amazing and house was super comfortable. The driveway entrance is a little scary, double blind... but that's ireland, not the house.
- James (9/5): Superb - Unique propery, Access was difficult from the road but everything else including the host was top class.
- Dennis (10/5): 1940's Hollywood feel with contemporary twist - We loved the private, exclusive location. We loved the spacious rooms and the range of bedroom options. We loved the huge settee and the big dining room table. We loved the kitchen space and the fantastic washer and dryer (!) We loved the old Hollywood feel to it and felt like we could do a superb murder mystery here. We loved the view. The view!
I loved the master bedroom and the sunken bathtub. We loved the 1940s (?) fittings and the old servants bells. We loved imagining who built this place, who lived here, and what it was used for. We loved the sheep in the fields leading to the lodge. We loved the showers (excellent showers). We loved the swans and their serene gliding and occasional territorial dispute. We all loved having our own room, own space, and lots of options about where to hang out. We didn't care for the noisy dining room chairs. They need some pads of some kind as they really are loud.
Although we used the covered area outside the kitchen door, I was a bit unsure about what chairs to use out there. There were some stacked near the washing room, so hopefully that's what they were meant for, but perhaps that needs communicating or else some dedicated outdoor furniture...? Lastly, and more importantly, getting back on the road from the property is quite treacherous. It's a double blind corner, and we had to just pray and gun it to make it out of there. Perhaps a mirror opposite might help?
- Mia (10/5): Gorgeous -
- Fenella (10/5): Fabulous..a real treat - Beautiful location and amazing property. A real retreat to relax in fabulous surroundings and an extremely well furnished property...top quality.
Ideal for exploring the Burren, Cliffs of Moher, Doolin and other delights in Co Clare and surrounding areas.
Will definatly be back.
