• Rachel (9/5): - Lovely hotel. Very comfy, clean and modern. Just perfect for relaxing after coming back from a 2-day hike in knuckles. Very friendly staff.
• Lina (10/5): Absolut weiter zu empfehlen. Preis-Leistung war definitiv top! - Im Vergleich zu vielen anderen Unterkünften in Sri Lanka war alles super sauber. Man hatte genug Platz, auch für Reisen mit Backpack bei zwei Personen. Das Bett war sehr bequem und die Klimaanlage hat problemlos funktioniert. Bei uns war es auch entgegen manch anderer Bewertungen sehr ruhig. Wir haben überhaupt nichts von der Frühstückzubereitung mitbekommen obwohl unser Zimmer direkt neben Empfang und Küche war. Allerdings war außer uns auch nur ein anderer Gast zum Zeitpunkt im Hotel. Falls das Hotel ausgebucht ist könnte es morgens etwas hellhörig sein wenn andere Gäste beim Frühstück keine Rücksicht nehmen. Aber die Hellhörigkeit hat man in allen Unterkünften in Sri Lanka, da muss man sich einfach Ohropax mitnehmen. Der Besitzer wat an einem Abend auch da und hat sich 2 Stunden sehr nett mit uns unterhalten. Einer der wenigen Einheimischen der wirklich gut englisch konnte und uns auch nicht irgendwelche Touren etc. verkaufen wollte.
• Monika (9/5): - Veľká izba, veľmi milý a ochotný personál. Celkovo veľmi pekné ubytovanie. Odporúčam, ak chcete úplný kľud. Škoda, že izba nemá balkon, bolo by to dokonalé. Nepáčila sa mi poloha, ale to je v podstate na každom, kde si vyberie. Tu som sa bála večer ísť von za bránu, pretože tam naozaj nič nebolo. Ani reštaurácia ani obchod len iné domy. Ale nie je to ďaleko do centra. Na tuk tuk úplne v poriadku.

The host's son picked us up as in the residence and we had an amazing trip for a good price. Thank you! Internet connection was really bad.
• sharan (8/5): - Exactly as advertised. Lovely staff, clean rooms with Ac. As we were staying there during monsoon months and AC wasn't needed, a fan would have been a nice touch. But wouldn't stop us booking here again. Wifi was extremely slow, this could have been impacted due to the monsoon rather than issue with hotel.

It was one of the best place we've ever stayed we stood their for a night but we could have a very good environment around the staff was very friendly and caring.. the place is really safe too

• Noa (9/5): A beautiful, clean, and spacious place with a comfy bed, great shower, friendly staff, air conditioning, and a delicious - I had a great stay! The room was beautiful and spacious, with a super comfortable bed. The bathroom was modern and clean, and the shower worked perfectly. The air conditioning was a lifesaver – absolutely loved it! Everything was spotless, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Such lovely, warm people who really made me feel welcome. The breakfast was also really good – a perfect start to the day. Would definitely stay here again! The walls are quite thin, so you can hear everything – including your neighbors and people in the hallway.

• Ata (9/5): Great value for money stay in a quiet ambience - Beautiful little place, nestled in a quiet neighbourhood. The staff were friendly and the overall service /amenities were just as expected. The stay was definitely good value for money. Breakfast selection could have been better- they server bread with egg omlette on both days, with bland tea (or you could choose coffee). They could have a form or something to jot down preferred way of eggs/bread/extras.

• Matan (9/5): Great place to stay in Kandy - The hotel is clean and tidy. The rooms are large and spacious and the facilities are new. About the location, the hotel is on the outskirts of the city and therefore a little bit far from the city center. I think off this as a plus, mainly because you are not close to all the hustle and bustle and have amazing views outside. Also, a drive for the city center is about 500 rupees for a 10 minute ride in a tuktuk. The service team go above and beyond to help during your stay at the hotel. Many thanks to Chapa and Muttu for their help during my stay. The breakfast is basic but adequate. The hotel is absolutely worth the price. will return to this hotel at my future trips. The internet at the hotel disconnects every now and then. The hotel's location is very nice, but there is no supermarket or grocery store available near by - although there is one within about 15 minutes of walk, there are a lot of ups and downs and the walk is on roads that also serve as a highway, not the safest. It is better to take a tuk-tuk.

• Matas (8/5): Very good - Cliveland Residence is located in a very beautiful place, on the hill far enough to not hear the city noise. Friendly staff, good, full breakfast (they make it in a kitchen near you, so you feel like at home). Room was big with AC. Bathroom had branded shampoos. The staff can arrange a tuktuk if needed. While the residence is located in very good looking place, it’s in a suburbs so the walk to Kandy is not recommended. Standard way to reach the city is via tuktuk. No hairdryer in the bathroom, no mini fridge.

The bedroom was gorgeous and the bed was so comfortable and large. The room was also very large. There was a kettle to make tea and coffee. The shower was warm and strong pressure. We had breakfast at the property which was super fresh and tasty! The hosts were lovely people and very welcoming. I would recommend this accommodation in Kandy. Nothing.

A litte bit too far from the city centre but easily reachable by a short tuk tuk ride. We had the room behind the kitchen, which was sometimes a little bit noisy.

Staff were very helpful. Location is a bit far out of town. Could walk in down the hill but soukdnt walk back in heat. Choose an early breakfast time as you'll be woken up by the sound of cooking anyway haha.
