Guest Reviews
- Nicola (10/5): Perfect little cottage in a great location - We stayed for one night to attend my songs wedding and we loved it ! A gorgeous little cottage , very clean and comfortable with lovely little touches , will definitely stay again.when we visit . Shower pressure was weak but only a minor issue
- George (9/5): -
- Karen (9/5): We had a fab time and would love to return! - Great location and lovely cottage
- Robert (10/5): Outstanding stay in quirky Louth - thoroughly recommended. - Loved the décor as it was very homely with some original features which were highlighted. The place was very well equipped with high quality kitchenware and the little touches, such as a bit of milk and butter and the plum bread tipped it in to the "exceptional" category for us.
Communication with the hosts was easy and they were very responsive, going the extra mile. The wood burner was wonderful and added a bit of a romantic vibe to our break. There is a small folder containing all the information you need including things like wifi code, wood burner instructions etc which was extremely clear and helpful.
The cottage is in a very central location with two, free car parks very close by as well as a car park directly opposite the cottage for a tiny £2 a day, all these details including a helpful map were shared with us as part of the check-in process which made our arrival extremely easy and stress-free.
All in all we could not have asked for any more. Yes, there is a bit of traffic outside, but that did not bother us in the slightest nor was it overly intrusive. It was impeccably clean with a surprising number of paid-for TV channels available and one of the very best places we have ever stayed, and there have been many.
Thanks so much to the excellent hosts, a simply wonderful experience from start to finish! Nothing. We were very happy with the accommodation, the location and the whole break. Louth is a smashing place to visit and the property was within easy walking distance. Just perfect.
- Laurent (10/5): -
- Joanne (10/5): Perfect In Every Way - The cottage is perfect and has everything you could need for a mini break away. The woodburner is a real treat and the decor and furnishings are lovely and very good quality throughout. Nothing..all is perfect
- Florence (10/5): Great cottage - Milk, butter and loaf left in fridge. Comfortable cottage. Close to town centre. Clean. Good communication. It was perfect for us.
- DawnG325 (9/5): Lovely cosy cottage - Lovely little cottage just a very short walk from town. Beautifully renovated cottage with a modern kitchen and bathroom; exceptionally clean throughout. The heating had been set so that we were very cosy without needing to light the wood burner. As a nice touch there were a few Christmas decorations and some basics in the kitchen (tea, coffee, milk and butter) including some delicious local plum bread. The owners were very quick to respond when we needed anything. We stayed here to visit the seals at Donna Nook and will stay here again as the cottage was great and we loved Louth. Nothing not to like
- Sarah (9/5): Perfect. Will definitely return and recommend - Clean, comfortable, modern interior with old charm Nothing

- Lisa (10/5): The cutest cottage, highly recommend! - What an absolute gem of a cottage. Perfect for us as we visit the area to see family and now need more than what a local hotel offers. So glad we found the Auctioneers Cottage. The cottage is modern but still has the homely cottage feel, it was spotlessly clean and we were left a sweet treat for our arrival which was really thoughtful along with milk and butter. Basic kitchen supplies were available too which was helpful. The bedrooms are lovely and the beds are genuinely the most comfortable beds! Went straight to google to buy replica bedding as it was so soft. The city-centre location is ideal to explore or head in for a drink/meal and there is a car park directly opposite (£2 charge for 8am-6pm, after 6pm is free, or there is a free car park just a bit further up the road). The hosts are really friendly and sent detailed information ahead of our arrival and you can see that they have given thought to how they have furnished and decorated. We had a great stay and we slept well, I can't wait to stay again. That we only booked 3 nights!...wished we could have stayed longer.
- Heather (9/5): - Convenient for the centre. Well equipped kitchen. Towels provided. Noise from the road. Needed .information on how to use the T.V. I don't have pre-paid networks. We didn't know. how to find Freeview.

- only a 5 minute walk to town and an array of restaurants, pubs and shops. - the only thing was the small shower room and the tiny hall on different levels
- Mark (10/5): Fantastic hideaway, within walking distance of the town - The master bedroom was surprisingly large for such a small hideaway, and the kitchen was both immaculate and we'll thought out, as well as being fresh and stylish. Thus is a great little getaway, giving you the option to self cater and cook, or a 3 mi ute walk down the hill for food at the weatherspoons at the edge of town. Everything is walkable form this exceptional cottage. Reading g the guest book, several people have stayed more than once in the short time the cottage has been available, and we'll add to that number definitely be using Auctioneers Cottage again!! Only the weather...it was a tad wet whilst we were there

- Sam (10/5): A great cottage with everything you need. - The hosts were very informative pre-check in, providing me everything I needed for a smooth check-in and comfortable stay. The cottage is located a stones throw from Louth town which is perfect for a stroll in to explore the local sights. The hosts have put a lot of thought in to making the cottage a home away from home and has everything you could need. Whilst there is no allocated parking, there’s plenty of cheap parking nearby. Would highly recommend Auctioneers Cottage and already booked for when I’m back in Louth. Nothing.
