The staff were really helpful and gave some nice tips on what to visit locally. Recommend staying here. We didn’t have an iPhone charger with us and, whilst the staff tried to help us charge our phones, there wasn’t a working charger.

Situated 6 minutes walk from a UNESCO world heritage site temple in the old part of the city. It far exceeded my expectations for a traditional Japanese Ryokan. The traditional baths are communal but each guest is allocated a private time slot. Even the breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. I will be recommending it to all my friends. Nothing to put in this box. It was perfect.

• Watanabe (10/5): This is a wonderful ryokan with friendly staff and a very convenient location for Kyoro sightseeing - This is an exceptional lodging--very convenient to Kiyomizu-dera and other nearby places of interest. The kaiseki dinner is outstanding and worth the extra fee; this might've been the best meal we had in Japan. The onsen for guests is also a great bonus and is included in your booking! The staff are very helpful, knowledgeable. They helped us with shipping our luggage ahead to our next destination and even sent us a shirt we forgot in our room! Nothing. No complaints. We would come back to his hotel again!

• Agnese (10/5): Esperienza decisamente particolare e piacevole! - Fantastica esperienza in questo Ryokan proprio nella via più turistica e affascinante di Kyoto che porta direttamente al tempio principale! Sicuramente c'è molto via vai durante il giorno, la località e quella zona particolare è presa da assalto da noi turisti ma nel nostro alloggio non abbiamo mai sentito rumore. Il bagno è in comune ma tutto super pulito e ben organizzato; per "fare la doccia" devi prenotare una stanza privata con una vasca fatta in roccia e riscaldata dove possono accedere massimo 3/4 persone (componenti della famiglia o partener) e hai 30/40 minuti a disposizione per poterne usufruire e rilassarti! Non pensavo ma il futon era decisamente comodo e la colazione particolare ma abbondante e davvero buona. Ci tornerei sicuramente e consiglio vivamente l'esperienza per chi vuole immergersi almeno per 1 notte nella vera essenza giapponese. Staff molto gentile e attento. Nulla

• Daniel (10/5): Perfekt! - Wir hatten einen absolut wunderbaren Aufenthalt in diesem Ryokan in Kyoto und können ihn uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Vom ersten Moment an wurden wir unglaublich herzlich empfangen - das gesamte Personal ist außergewöhnlich freundlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Die Kommunikation war jederzeit klar, unkompliziert und sehr professionell. Unser Zimmer war wunderschön, sehr gepflegt und bot einen traumhaften Ausblick. Besonders begeistert hat uns der private Onsen, den wir beim Einchecken für eine bestimmte Zeit reservieren konnten – für uns war das perfekt: ruhig, entspannt und ein echtes Highlight unserer Japanreise. Auch die Lage ist großartig: eine belebte Gegend mit vielen Läden und Street food, aber auch tollen Restaurants. Wir waren mehr als begeistert und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Vielen Dank für diesen besonderen Aufenthalt!

Lo staff era super gentile e disponibile, ci hanno dato consigli su dove andare a fare le foto e a che ora, su cosa visitare la sera e come muoverci. Il ryokan era super tradizionale, super pulito e curato in ogni dettaglio. Abbiamo dormito benissimo sui futon, abbiamo usufruito dell'onsen privato ed è stato bellissimo e super rilassante. La colazione il giorno dopo era buonissima e super bella esteticamente. È stato l'albergo più bello e confortevole in cui siamo stati durante il nostro viaggio in Giappone. Ci ritornerei volentieri anche domani. Grazie per l'accoglienza! Okini!

Le fait de pouvoir laisser ses bagages est un plaisir. Nous avons également super bien dormi avec une vue magnifique sur la pagode. Futons were comfortable, I liked the experience I did not expect the bathroom to be separate from the room. The sink was in the room. For the shower we could book a traditional bath room, which was very good. But adding a toilet near the bathroom would be great. We could not find it.

• Joe (9/5): Absolutely wonderful stay in a fantastic location! - Absolutely incredible Ryokan. Really felt like we were experiencing old Japan and traditions that we wanted to live. We used the opportunity for the private onsen twice in our stay and we absolutely loved it. The room was laid out for sleep whilst we attended traditional Japanese theatre just down the street, so coming home was exciting. The bathroom amenities in this ryokan were fabulous, body washes, hand washes, skin care, hair care etc The location is perfect for walking around Kyotos old town at night. Gion is absolutely stunning The only tiny observation/ critique was that when I asked for more coffee for our room I was told no in no uncertain terms! We only stayed one night and were only given two coffee sachets. We had one when we arrived and it would have been nice to have a cup in the morning. It didn’t spoil our stay but hopefully the feedback might mean others may get more if required

• marine (10/5): Parfait séjour - Emplacement idéal à 20 min a pied du quartier de Gion, 5 minutes du temple dont je n'arrive pas à ecrire le nom mais très beau et sur la ligne directe en bus entre la gare principale et l'hôtel. Des bains privatisables et surtout un personnel hyper attentionné ! La chambre était spacieuse et les futons très confortables. Petit déjeuner au top !

• LAURA (10/5): Ideal - La habitación era muy espaciosa, tradicional, teníamos Yukata y unas vistas privilegiadas a la pagoda. Además de su pequeño Onsen privado del que pudimos disfrutar. El personal es encantador y servicial, te hacen sentir como en casa. Todo fue genial.
