Guest Reviews
- Steffen (10/5): A truly exceptional B&B with heart, warmth and premium comfort! - The accommodation was very cosy, personal and beautifully decorated. We had a lot of privacy, but we also enjoyed nice conversations in the garden and in the large kitchen. The breakfast was amazing. It was very generous, fresh and prepared with so much care. For us, the breakfast alone was worth the stay.
The hosts were very friendly and helpful. They gave us many good tips for the area and for things to do during our holiday. Our stomachs were too small for the big breakfast đđ
- Joelle (9/5): -
- Paulina (10/5): - Louise is wonderful with looking after anyone who stays, the rooms are very clean and well looked after, there is a lot of space all around and the views are incredible. Nothing
- David Emanuel (10/5): Perfect cottage for a cosy stay close to nature. - Everything. The owner is so welcoming and very kind. The breakfast is super delicious, and we were very thankful for the vegan adaptation. We loved the animals that were all around the property. They made our stay more joyful. The garden and the rooms are beautiful and all very clean. The location is great too, easy to reach hiking and dining locations. That we didnât stay longer.
- Manuel Beck (10/5): Thanks for having us! - Great place to stay near Wicklow mountains! Enough parking, lovely hosts and breakfast was absolutely fabulous! We left hoping that the rest of our trip's accommodations were half this good :-)
- Lisa (10/5): - Everything !! Louise and Jim welcome you like a member of the family and you're made to feel instantly at home. Louise is a fabulous cook the homade scones, soda bread and jams were amazing. Breakfast was wonderful. The grounds with all the beautiful flowers and home are amazing. From the garden view from our windows or breakfast with Meg the fawn it was a highlight of our Ireland adventure. Will definitely visit on our next trip đ Can't think of one thing.
- Anne Marie (10/5): Magical experience in a quiet gorgeous estate with lovely host and location. Stay here! - How do I even begin to describe this magical bed and breakfast? From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth that we instantly felt at home. The gardens were breathtaking, the breakfasts were delicious, and the conversations were superb. One morning, we had what can only be described as a "Snow White" moment: while we enjoyed breakfast, a fawn followed the host back for a bottle. It was straight out of a fairytale. The magic continued throughout our stayâthere was the sweetest dog, a playful cat, a stunning white horse, chickens, ducks, and more. Every corner of the property seemed alive with charm and joy. As my husband put it, âI cannot imagine a place that is more perfect, while still having the peace and quiet you needed.â He even had the delight of joining Louise for a run on our last night, which was a highlight for him. We also loved the breakfasts with other guests. Our early morning chats with Louise created a sense of community and connectionâyou arrive as visitors, but you truly leave as friends. This isnât just a place to stay. Itâs an experience that blends beauty, hospitality, and serenity in a way that is unforgettable. We will carry the memories of this visit with us always, and we cannot recommend it highly enough. There truly wasnât a single thing to fault about our stay. Every detail, from the rooms to the gardens to the breakfasts, was carefully thought out and beautifully done. If anything, the hardest part was saying goodbye. We would have happily extended our stay to soak in more of the tranquility and warmth that made this place so special.

- Karin (10/5): - Super nette Besitzer!
- Corina (10/5): Perfect Stay with the Loveliest Hosts - We had the pleasure of staying with Louise and Jimmy for three nights. We felt like part of the family within seconds of our arrival. The rooms, the garden, and the breakfast were all perfectâliterally. The whole family, along with their animals, were the loveliest and most welcoming hosts. For the rest of our holiday, we kept catching ourselves saying, âWell, it isnât Louiseâs.â
- Becky (10/5): We had a wonderful visit and will revisit on future trips to the area. - We loved the friendliness. We were made to feel right at home. The country setting w a horse, chickens, ducks, and a super cute baby fawn were all a wonderful bonus.
The bed and pillows were very comfortable and our view of their garden was beautiful. Breakfast was also very good and our hosts were happy to help w dinner suggestions or travel recommendations. I canât tho k if anything.
- Karin Birn (10/5): This might be the best B&B in Ireland - Our lovely hosts we're secont to none, not only providing excellent food (breakfast and dinner), but really making us feel welcome and at home at the Cherrygarth Cottage - always with a smile and a fresh remark, and loads of great advice on walks/hikes, local restaurants and understanding 'the Irish way'.
The Cherrygarth itself so cozy and embracing, a flourishing garden, friendly dogs, hens and horse.
Our recommendations can not be higher. If you seek an authentic experience of Ireland at its best, you must go visit Cherrygarth Cottage.

The gardens are magnificent. Louise and Jim are excellent hosts, sharing their expensive knowledge of the region. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and sustained us all day! Delicious breads and scones. If you get a chance to stay here, do it! Our room was beautifully appointed, and we enjoyed access to the upstairs patio. Nothing. It was a perfect stay.

They were fantastic hosts, kind and always available, and gave us lots of (great) suggestions for sightseeing, hiking and eating in the region. The cottage really feels like a home, the grounds are lovely, and we even got to meet some of the younger family members. Louise's breakfasts were an absolute topper! All in all, a great place to relax and as a base for getting to know Wicklow. The bed was a bit too soft for us, however this is a personal preference.
- Jenny (10/5): Wonderful stay - Had an amazing stay here. Our hosts were so friendly and welcoming and looked after us perfectly.
Room had everything we needed, decorated nicely, clean, comfortable bed, view of the garden with the roaming chickens and ducks and ofcourse the mountain in the distance.

- Mary (10/5): Perfection on every level , friendliness ,cleanliness.service.and food just exquisite - The property itself and attention to detail is exceptional but at the end of the day itâs the service you receive and the experience you have that makes it stand out and boy does Cherrygarth Cottage stand out . - Violaine (10/5): Amazing stay near Glendalough - We were warmly welcome by Louise. The house and the garden are simply beautiful. Louise is very attention to details: she puts fresh flowers around the house and was careful to follow my complex dietary requirements for the delicious generous breakfast she cooks herself with ingredients from her own garden. The house and the room were very clean and the garden well maintained. Louise is very kind and caring and gave us some off the tracks walking ideas and tips for restaurants. She really makes you feel at home. Nothing.
