Guest Reviews
- Liam (10/5): Stunning property Burramere - Comfortable beds, beautiful location, host was very responsive, home was beautiful. So close to the dam and very picturesque. Simple touches by the host such as cheese and olives in fridge was so kind. Very thoughtful. Unable to use washing machine as in a private Area.
No dishwasher made cleaning up take a fair bit longer as we were a larger group.
But neither of these caused our stay to be anything but great!
- Meisam Farahani (9/5): Beautiful scenery - Beautiful location and very nice view to the lake and the cows around the lake. Quiet and beautiful place to rest and be away from the city No dishwasher
- Dagmara (10/5): Peaceful lakeside stay surrounded by wildlife, with great amenities and cosy touches. - We had a fantastic stay at Burramere Homestead! The location right on the lake was absolutely beautiful, with peaceful surroundings that made it so relaxing. We loved being surrounded by nature β from the friendly cows and bunnies to the kangaroos and the incredible variety of birds.
The fireplace was such a cosy bonus, and we really appreciated the heated bed blankets on the cooler nights. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed, and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly.
If the house were updated and modernised, it would honestly be the kind of place Iβd love to buy. Having read through other reviews, itβs clear the hosts are very responsive to requests for improvement, which is great to see.
Overall, our experience was even better than expected, and we would happily recommend Burramere Homestead to anyone looking for a peaceful, nature-filled getaway. For us, a couple of small additions would make the stay even better β a washing machine (so we could wash the tablecloth after making a mess) and a few extra lamps to allow softer lighting without relying on the main lights.
- Mandeep Kaur (10/5): Neat, tidy and exceptional. - The house was wonderful. So neat and tidy. All the queen beds had electric blankets which is great for a cold place like Stanthorpe. The kitchen was well supplied. The host was kind enough to supple coffee pods and breakfast cereal. The fireplace was amazing and enough wood to keep it going. Will recommend without hesitation and will stay there again.

- TERRENCE (9/5): Lovely country stay. The house is positioned to take in n excellent outlook over the paddock to dam - Lovely spacious home, with beautiful aspect and outlook over the property and Storm King dam . Kitchen needs a dishwasher and indoor fireplace needs a poker.
More firewood should be supplied to cater for both the indoor fireplace & outdoor fire pit.
- Deni (9/5): Superb - Spacious lovely home, quiet and picturesque location on well kept land, easy drive to both Stanthorpe and Girraween in opposite directions. Not only that, but the hosts were friendly and responsive to our queries. We very much wished we had stayed longer! There was no phone reception on some services so ensure you are able to wifi call our use a chat service like fb or whatsap etc. Also, the TV seemed to have its own personality, perhaps it was the due to the wifi signal, not sure? Minor issue, though. If you're staying in watching TV, you might not be holidaying correctly π
- Shannon (8/5): Beautiful and relaxing place - The view from the house overlooking the lake was beautiful, very peaceful and quiet, there was no washing machine or Iron.
- Geoff (9/5): It was a very comfortable house for our combined families, the peace and quiet was lovely - The House was very warm and comfortable and its position overlooking the Dam was very peaceful.
The kitchen had everything we needed and great size dining table for our combined families. Nothing
- Li (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kathryn (8/5): Very good -
- Helen (8/5): Very good - We loved the beautiful location and great outlook. It was peaceful and quiet and made for a great spot to chat and connect, and it was very enjoyable to wander down to the lakefront and see the cattle. The breakfast cereal selection was also a nice touch and the covered deck is perfect for breakfast in the sun. A few updates / extra equipment / more cleaning would make this place perfect. The oven is old and needs updating - the door seals do not seem to work (you have to hold the door closed and it took 3 hours to cook a chook!). It was also very cold on arrival, and while the fireplace is awesome, there was no metal shovel, brush, or poker to man the fire and keep it clean, nor a small woodsplitter to make kindling with the wood provided for day one. There is no heating in the bedrooms and most did not have electric blankets so they were chilly - but there were extra duvets. The BBQ was left dirty with no cleaning equipment provided (we had to use the kitchen scrubber to clean it). We also had to wash all the crockery and cups on arrival as the previous guests / cleaner had not done a great job.
- Sally (10/5): Peaceful location with a great space for large groups or families. - Burramere Estate is such a magical place. Trees, the dam, cows and the occasional bunny surround you. It is very peaceful. Chuda was a lovely host who was very prompt in responding to any questions and provided all essential details before we arrived.
We travelled as a group of 8 (4 couples), and the house size was more than enough. It was nice to find accommodation with enough bedrooms, and each room had a minimum of a double bed. We found we were only 10 minutes from the heart of Stanthorpe, and most trips to other areas in the Granite Belt required a maximum 20-minute drive. I would highly recommend staying at Burramere Estate if you have a large group and want to be able to enjoy the serenity of the countryside as well as being very close to the wineries and key attractions of this area. If you are not keen on driving a lot, you might want to stay closer to one of the centres as you wouldn't be able to walk anywhere. That being said, plenty of tours will be collected from Burramere Estate, and so will the taxi companies. I would recommend being organised and ensuring you pre-book transport options if you do not wish to drive.
- Bianca (8/5): Great place for a large group to relax and connect - Peace and quiet, fireplace No live TV
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
