Guest Reviews
- Randy (6/5): - Dodgy room door lock. Limited coffee/tea supplies, no chairs. Tiny garbage can. Bed OK.
- Lindsay (8/5): - The area and facility was great; basic but close to good areas in Aberystwyth. Good for students or persons looking for a one-night stay in a walkable area of town.
Room was a bit dingy: the headboard needs a good clean (greasy from past occupants) and there was some dirt on a few of the light switches. A good deep clean will correct that easily.
- Phli (8/5): - Night one peaceful night 2 could not sleep.as the people in the next room were talking till 4.30 am.in the morning so could not sleep as it so noisy
- Bryony (8/5): Week day stay - The stay was enjoyable and lovely. Room was clean and just what we needed. Noise was a bit much on the second day, but once we was asleep it wasn’t bad (minus the fire alarm)
Overall no complaints,
- William (8/5): - Never encountered any staff, so I cannot comment there. The room was larger than I expected. It was neat and clean but a little worn. They warn you it is loud-this is very true. I could not find any earplugs in the local shops. They should consider leaving disposable earplugs for guests.
- Siobhan (6/5): Did the job - Clear instructions to check in. Room was clean and well equipped. Bed was reasonably comfortable. The room was very warm. There is heat coming from the floor and the windows can’t be opened. Two large stand fans are provided help’s but some form of air con is needed. Place felt secure and was quiet, though the club wasn’t open.
- Miss Catherine (8/5): - Lovely room very clean.weather was warm so possibility of fan offered in future next
- Catrin (8/5): - The room was lush and very cozy but the only thing that went wrong was there was no tv remote couldn't find it nowhere and the room was very hot no air conditioning or fan to cool down while on the hot days whie we were staying and the shower turns off just by being in it for 2 minutes.
- Victoria (6/5): - I was concerned about the potential for noise pollution, considering that the accommodation was located above a bar (this wasn't apparent prior to booking and I feel that it should have been) however, we stayed Wed/Thur night and we didn't find noise to be an issue; it was very quiet. Entering the accommodation via a side entraced where the bins were stored was a little disconcerting (poorly lit) but once inside we felt very safe. It was very clean and comfortable, the only things of note was that the bed base was damaged creating a big dip in one side of the bed (we stuffed a couple pillows underneath and that did the trick!) and the bathroom door didn't shut properly. It would have been nice to have more milk, a mini fridge, spare loo roll and spare bin bag. It was okay for a 2 night stay, it was cheap and cheerful. Would I stay again, maybe...
- Judith (10/5): Nice & central - No hot water first night but was all ok second night
Nice central hotel
Lovely big room & comfy bed
- G (2/5): Overnight stay - The room was ok basic bed was ok shower was ok called the phone number and text the number because the door lock was unsafe and door frame was unsafe
- Paul (10/5): Comfortable stay - Good stay comfortable and fullfilled our needs
- Darryl (10/5): - Great for overnight stay close to the pier and felt safe as two doors with security locks on them to get to the rooms
- stephen (8/5): - Conveniently located in the heart of Aberystwyth so oarking was difficult overall lovely place.woyld stay again
- Sian (10/5): - Good
- Rachel (2/5): Terrible customer service no answer - We couldn’t sleep all night due to a loud droning humming noise all through the night the bar downstairs was closed to not from the bar. we attempted to contact the number that was given on email for any issues and no answer and called this number many times !! Even sent a text message and no reply either and no call back. Customer service is terrible. There was also stains on the wall and no milk for hot drinks. We had no sleep and no one to contact.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Would have liked some toilet paper! - The room was nice and cosy (not small cosy).
The hot tap in the bathroom was leaking and the dripping noise was unpleasant. This probably had a knock on effect on the heat of the shower.
Not a full toilet roll when we arrived and no spare, so we had to go out and buy some.
Parking outside is free from 6pm to 9am.
Slightly ill fitting blind on the window, which let in a lot of light from the street.
Bed was comfortable and bedding was good.
- Leah (10/5): Great stay! - I had a great six night stay here--it was clean, comfortable, and conveniently located. I had no problem with the pub/nightclub noise, but if you're sensitive or a light sleeper, you should read the listing carefully and make an informed decision. I would absolutely stay here again.
- Samantha (8/5): - Central, no fuss self booking / arrival. Unaware when booking is a late night pub/ club alight noise was not that bad with ear plugs. Room lovely bar the strong dam smell. Luckily I had lavender oil to hand.
- Vic (2/5): - The entry was very dirty and the floor of the room was on a slope also there was only hot water for one shower
- Anthony (8/5): - Good central location with large room and bathroom.
The bar on the ground floor was closed- so it was quiet
- Verified traveler (6/5): Visit - Booking as explained in email, though later number of these doors left open. Maintenance in the room is poor, toilet roll holder needs securing. Shower held on with elastic bands. Main bedroom floor has a large hole under the carpet, which could cause issues in the future. Car parking none exsistant, had to park at least 10 mins away.
- Helen (8/5): - Really nice room, however can be very loud.
- Werner (2/5): Terrible stay. - It failed to mention in the booking that the room was above a very busy and noisy pub. We were unable to get sleep until about 4am. Our room overlooked the beer garden. This was not mentioned. In our opinion, 1* is too much and if I could I would want my money back.
- brian (10/5): - Excellent property centrally located
