• Janet (9/5): Excellent. Basic accommodation, comfortable and clean. Great food. - Comfy beds, clean, good bathroom, good shower, adequate space for luggage. Lovely balcony area with good view over the town. The hosts were extremely helpful with things we needed - arranging a taxi for us for our next journey, allowing us to hang up washing and checking it for us whilst we were away. They gave recommendations for things to do and places to eat. Breakfasts were delicious and they would have made food at other times had we asked. This is basic accommodation, which is not a criticism. It suited our needs. There is a walk up to the centre of town, up hill. And quite a number of steps to get to the house. Tricky to find, first time, but they will come to the road to guide you and help with baggage.

• Chris (8/5): A good place for a short stay in darjeeling - The host family was friendly and very helpful. Very good breakfasts. It was a long climb up to the centre.
• Prafulk (9/5): An authentic homestay with delicious home-cooking - Alowkik and his parents do everything to look after you. The place can be difficult to find in the dark the first time. So, when I arrived in Darjeeling, Alowkik came to meet me. I had fruit for breakfast. Once I had something cooked. Every evening, there was an incredible home-made meal. They can cater for vegans. You probably can't eat better in Darjeeling! The Wi-Fi was good except when Darjeeling had a power cut! The homestay is about 10-15 minute walk to Mall Road. It's always an interesting walk since you can go so many ways. You pass through different markets and streets. It was all good!
