Guest Reviews
- Kerry (8/5): Just what we needed. - Had everything we needed Smell of oil tank/boiler when opening back door
- Nicky (10/5): Gorgeous! - Very clean and had everything you need for a cosy, comfortable stay. Everything was lovely
- kate (10/5): Lovely peaceful place to stay - Perfect decor super clean and everything you need for a stay Considering you are so close to stoke disappointed that the crockery was from dunelm
- Bronwen (10/5): - The cottage is beautiful in all respects. The living space is comfortable and spacious and the bedrooms similarly comfortable. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. We only used it for teas, coffees and breakfast because it was such a short stay, but it is large and well-equipped The whole place is beautifully appointed, with attention to detail and thought given to every aspect. The garden area has a delightful sitting area, raised so that you can see the view and enjoy being outside. Also, the very close proximity to the pub-- the Fitzherbert Arms next door-- was extremely useful as we really did not feel like cooking and the pub serves great food. If/ when we come back to the area, which we are likely to do for family reasons, we'd love to stay again. The contact we had with our host was helpful and she responded to all messages immediately. She was also very helpful when we had to change our dates. Altogether I have only praise and no complaints for this lovely property. It was all lovely
- Peter (9/5): Comfy Cottage Next To Excellent Fitzherbert Arms - Very well-appointed cottage in great location with dedicated parking space. Clean and comfortable. A little pricey for a 1-night stay as rooms in the Fitzherbert Arms (only 50 m away) were cheaper. But for stays of 2 or more nights, I'd prefer staying in the cottage and the price is fair.
- Adrian (10/5): Amazing place to spend some time … - Fabulous cottage beautifully appointed and located - a genuinely fantastic place to stay - we loved it and will be back! Thank you so much for putting so much effort in and making the stay so lovely. Nothing
- Paul (10/5): - It was perfect Everything was perfect
- Maria (10/5): Warm, welcoming cottage - Home from home “feel” felt really welcoming, we loved the whole cottage Nothing
- James (8/5): A very nice property, well kept and with nice touches. - Good location for our purposes. Next door to a very nice pub which serves great food. I think the owner should check the hot water system. It seemed to be quite intermittent - sometimes very hot, other times lukewarm, even although the system was on. It never remained hot enough for two showers, sometimes not for one...
Minor points - the radio didn't seem to work and the potato peeler needs replacing...
- LISA (9/5): -
- Tom Fisher (10/5): -
- Margaret (10/5): One if the best - The cosiness and cleanliness coupled with comfort - can't think of another c - and atmosphere.
Great location in historic village surrounded by beautiful countryside.
Neighbouring FitzHerbert Arms pub.
Attentive hosts Leaving!
- Amy (10/5): Excellent rental for breaks and fab communication from the owner - just all made really easy and simple. Would stay agai - Was a great base for Christmas family visiting - really tidy and thoughtful elements there like hot chocolate station / toys for the kids!
- Margaret (10/5): Lovely, peaceful relaxing break in a charming cottage in a charming village. - The location was excellent in a quiet country village with walks in the area and a lovely pub near by. Would have liked a footstool/pouffe for use with the arm chairs, but otherwise a lovely, char
ming, comfortable country cottage which is maintained to a very high standard. Thank you.
- Vincent (9/5): Home from home - Breakfast didn’t apply
Location good for Trentham light trail and set in a small but lovely village,
No noise from the pub next door.
Cottage was well equipped kitchen and bathroom excellent. Nothing that we didn’t like the only small fault I came across was I couldn’t get the cooker extractor fan to work, would have liked to have lit the wood burner but nowhere to buy kindling in the village other than that perfect.
- Clive (9/5): - Rustic, cosy, had everything we needed, clean Bed in rear bedroom made alot of noise when you moved.
Don't like tv,s that use a cursor to navigate (personal preference)
- Melissa (9/5): Cozy well equipped stay in a lovely village - Great location next to an excellent pub (great food!). Well equipped quiet cosy house with straightforward parking and easy check in. Well located for our travels around the area, very nice to come home to the warm cottage after a day driving around. We didn’t need any extra help or information so can’t comment on that.
- Elliot (10/5): We will definitely be back here again - Everything it was perfect Nothing at all we loved it
- Nicola (10/5): A delightful night away! - The cottage was clean, cosy and beautifully decorated! Perfect for a cosy autumn night away!
- Lee (10/5): Perfect cottage - Lovely cottage, warm, very clean, great shower, all mod cons, nothing to dislike
- Barbara (10/5): A superbly cosy, clean, comfy cottage - All of it, it was a perfect cottage for us. Perfect location halfway to Lake District from London. Perfect to be next door to fantastic pub. Our dog was happy that there was a little lawn in an enclosed garden safe for her to run around in. We also especially appreciated that the owner had thoughtfully left a selection of teas, a bottle of olive oil (even though we didn't cook, you hardly ever get that these days) and some milk and biscuits for us. Small touches make all the difference. Nothing, it was all perfect
- Jackie (10/5): Perfect - Beautifully presented, cozy and had everything we needed.

- Debbie (10/5): Beautiful Cottage - Beautiful quaint cottage. Ideal for our stop over stay. Lovely raised decking overlooking the countryside and enclosed garden for our dogs. We didn't use it but there's a pub next door which you couldn't hear any noise from the people outside in the cottage. Looking forward to our return stop over next week. Thank you Laura
- Primrose (10/5): Beautiful cosy cottage - Our guests loved this place. Laura is a great host and very responsive. The place was just as shown on the picture. The decor 😍. I would recommend this place to anyone needing some peace and quiet. Great food at the pub too. No complaints.

Comfortable furniture, clean and tidy.
Lovely decking area to the front with views over the countryside.
- Louise (10/5): Impeccable cottage next to great pub in village - Immaculate cottage. Super communicative and thoughtful owners. Lots of little kovely touches. Couldn't work out how to get hot water. Just needed a little instruction note on this.

- Carolyn (9/5): Superb - This was an unexpected pleasure . The cottage was gorgeous the location was perfect . Next door to a beautiful pub . In a quiet little hamlet . One of the beds was very squeaky and uncomfortable
- John (10/5): Excellent - will definately use again - Excellent location and facilities. Pub next door is fantastic Sadly beds were standard doubles and the one in the back room seemed to be on a slant!
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional - Homely feel and high spec contents Corkscrew - not strong enough to work it
- Jane (10/5): Properly dog friendly country cottage - This lovely homely cottage is our favorite base when visiting family in the area and it's a treat to return each time. The pub only a matter of yards away, with wonderful food, is the icing on the cake !
- Cb (10/5): The cottage is very clean and comfortable, - The cottage is in a beautiful location and spotlessly clean, with the added bonus of an enclosed garden for dogs and walks. We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed making use of the seating on the decking. Nothing.
- Caroline (9/5): Great location, very helpful host, easy to find & park. No shop in village - arrive with essentials! - Fab location and the pub next door was excellent. Laura was a great host and responded immediately to our questions about the heating. The beds were a bit on the soft side for us I’m afraid and the shower heat was quite hard to control. Would welcome a hook on the wall for the shower head rather than having to hold it (I didn’t want the rain drench option). Feel mean saying these things as the cottage is pretty near perfect but offering in the spirit of helping future guests.
- Alice (10/5): Perfect stay, the best yet - We liked everything about this property. Nothing
- Gina (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic little cottage. Stayed with the family for one night as we were visiting the monkey forest. Really clean and comfortable. The log burner was lovely. Would definitely recommend and hope to return again 🙂
- Jane (10/5): Wonderful place to relax ! - Exceptional cosy character cottage , in wonderful countryside, with fantastic views and on the doorstep of a pub which continues to uphold the great reputation it's held for years . Laura couldn't have been more helpful and was very responsive to messages.
- Lucy (10/5): An excellent place to stay for a short break - The lovely warm comfortable cottage was in an ideal location from which to explore the potteries. There was nothing we didn’t like.
- Rob (10/5): Amazing lovely place! Such a Gem - Everything really homely and lovely! 100% recommend Nothing it was brilliant!

- Quinn (10/5): Exceptional - Very cute, loved the fire
- Kail (10/5): Exceptional - What a lovely little place to stay
- Becky (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christopher (10/5): Exceptional - Really nice cottage. I stay in a lot of properties over the year and this is one of the best. Comfortable lounge and beds, a good shower and good wifi signal. The kitchen has everything you need to cook for yourself, but there is also an excellent pub next door. Highly recommend.
- Linda (10/5): Exceptional - Very comfortable cottage, a true home away from home 5*
- Hayley (9/5): Beautiful! - This is a gorgeous cottage, very clean and comfortable. Very homely. Cute little location. It wasn’t a problem but bear in mind this is next to a pub car park. Visited in winter so it wasn’t noisy and we slept fine but possibly an issue in the summer months
- Anthony (10/5): Amazing place and location, stayed here for work but booking again to take the Mrs - Everything Nothing
- Kate (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful cosy cottage, large separated kitchen so perfect if you are bringing dogs. Nice owners came to leave milk even though we were a very last minute booking (booked while on the M6 as weather was awful and everything was ready for us 40 mins later).
- Voller (10/5): Gorgeous home from home xx - Beautiful cozy and clean That I hadn’t booked for longer!!
- Sarah (10/5): Cosy and convenient, perfect tranquil pad. - Could not have been more comfortable, clean and well-equipped. The pub next door is exceptional too.

- Beverley (9/5): Comfortable, cosy, clean cottage Thank You - Lovely cottage & very clean Nothing
- Eleanor (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrew (10/5): We had a lovely stay and will definitely be back. - The property was cosy and felt warm and welcoming as soon as we arrived. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and it was all immaculately clean. We lived the extra touches with the cushions and bedding. Being so close to the pub and being able to take a nightcap back with us was special too. There was nothing we disliked. To make the stay even more enjoyable, some kindling for the fire and some toiletries in the bathroom would have been an extra touch.
