• YA CHEN (8/5): 價格經濟實惠的青年旅舍 - 住宿地點位置不錯，隔一條街就有很多炸雞店，因爲是青年旅舍，所以都是共用衛浴，有分男生一間rest room，女生一間rest room,女生那一間有一間廁所和2間用浴簾拉起來的沖澡地方，如果有洗澡和廁所的時候可能要看有沒有人在使用才能用。房間隔音效果沒有很好，會一直聽到隔壁背包客講話，但到了半夜1-2點大家都會睡覺，所以很安靜。早餐是附贈一個泡麵，泡麵是前一天check in的時候給的。我們入住2天，但只有第一天的時候給我們泡麵，第二天就沒有給泡麵了。睡覺的房間是禁止吃東西的。房間沒有衛生紙，要自己準備衛生紙和牙刷、也沒有鏡子。單純睡覺休息的房間。如果要吃東西要在交誼廳吃，那裡有飲水機，偶而有幾包咖啡可以喝。還有按摩椅可以坐，但很少人真的有用。飲水機旁有吹風機，如果洗完頭髮要拿吹風機進去rest room裡吹頭髮。交誼廳和廚房連在一起，廚房裡有微波爐、瓦斯爐、烤麵包機可以用，瓦斯爐後面是垃圾桶。有分回收垃圾和一般垃圾還有一個看起來像廚餘桶的小桶子。浴室的熱水還蠻小的。櫃檯是因為老先生在顧的，有人超過晚上11點入住，老先生就要等到那麼晚。隔天早上6-7點又要起床坐在交誼廳的電腦旁邊。很辛苦。地點方便，距離華城景點很近。 女生的浴室僅用浴簾遮起來3分之2，浴室只有用一個勾子吊衣服。女生的浴室只有2間，女生只有一間，洗澡要洗快一點，不然後面的人會等很久。

• Laura (8/5): Great stay for one night - The owner is very nice and the room was great for one night. The bed was quite comfortable as well. It's also located very central in Hwaseong Fortress :) There are no lockers, though that wasn't really a problem for me. Toilet and showers are in the same room, and while they are seperated by stalls, there is some water on the floor in the entire room if someone showered. But since there are house shoes, that isn't too much of a problem either.

• Eunjin (4/5): - The location is great, and it offers excellent value for money if you’re just looking for a place to sleep. I came here because I was hear that parking was available, but parking is only possible at night and not during the day. I reserved a private room, but the bathroom turned out to be a shared bathroom. It was so cold that I couldn’t take a shower, so I had to go to a nearby sauna to wash. Also, there was almost no soundproofing at night, so I could hardly sleep at all. For your reference, I usually sleep very well as soon as my head hits the pillow. I chose this place instead of a jjimjilbang, but honestly, staying at a jjimjilbang would have been better.
• MJ (9/5): Comfortable and cheap stay in Suwon as it's near to various tourist spots - 1. The location was excellent because it is very near to popular tourist destinations in Suwon, and is even a walking distance to the Hwaseong Temporary Palace and Suwon Museum of Art, among others. It also has many bus stations nearby, and the Suwon Station is 15 minute away by bus. There are also lots of nice restaurants and cafes nearby the area. 2. The room is also very comfortable. I actually enjoyed my stay in the room because the bed was comfy and it had an electric warmer and the comforter was also soft and had no smell at all. The room had slippers, one table and chair, a rack for clothes, and electric sockets. 3. The bathroom had toiletries, tissues, and nice flow of water. It is usually cleaned by an ahjumeoni lady every morning. 4. The staff were also nice especially the grandfather who always stays at the living room. You have to have a Korean phone number maybe to be able to reach the reception staff right away. 5. I was provided with a ramyeon and towel upon my arrival. The wifi connection was also great. The sofa with the pillow in the living room was really comfortable to hang out at. 6. I went there during an off-season so there were not much guests so I basically had all the room and other amenities by myself for a day. 1. The main concern that you would be having here would be the lack of door in the shower areas, because it only had curtains. But if there are not much guests during your stay, you could just lock the entire bathroom area including the toilet part. I only gave it a 9 rating mainly because of the shower curtains hehe. But it's manageable. 2. There would usually be some noraebang noise around 10pm-11pm but it should not bother you that much. 3. Also the rooms are not soundproof so avoid talking out loud; my neighboor kept knocking on my wall when I was talking with my roommate. 4. The intercom phone in the reception area was not working, but I didn't have much problem with it.

• faye (5/5): Great location to explore Suwon - Location is very good. You just need to walk out doesn't matter if you turn left or right it will always lead you to somewhere worth visiting. My room is with window and I can hear every movements outside.

• Suzanne (10/5): - Great location. Lovely & warm - mportant as at this time of year Suwon is cold!! There's heating in the common area, and electric blankets on the beds. It feels like a shared flat which I liked - the kitchen is simple but has everything you need, and the common area has plenty of seating for the number of guests. The owner is really sweet & kind. The shower curtains are weirdly short, they only go down to knee-level. I didn't mind at all that we were given noodle cups for breakfast (and I'd read about it in other reviews before booking), but some might. WiFi is generally fine but briefly drops out sometimes - not enough to be an issue usually but if you need to work or make important calls it's probably not quite reliable enough for that.

• Damon (4/5): Below expectations - Great location close to the fortress and old town. The walls were paper thin and we could hear every fool that decided to use the microwave at 1130pm, or call their mother on FaceTime at around the same time, or get up at 6am to have a long conversation with their husband and child just outside our room. Also, the bed in our first room was full of hair that wasn’t ours, and when they moved us to a new room the shower was also full of hair that wasn’t ours. The price is good, but bring earplugs or look somewhere else.

• Le (10/5): Exceptional - The location is so good that we could walk to many spots around. I love Suwon and want to come back soon. I booked a bed in dorm room for me and my little son. The ower upgrade to bigger bed without paying extra. I have been using hostel more than one year ( normally other hostel don't accept kids in dorm room, except one in Osaka ). There is kitchen/ free water/ free coffee. It's not so new place but it's very cosy. The owner seemed not so smiley but I can see this is Korean culture. He is nice to give to my son some gifts also. There is a Japanese restaurant in the first floor very good. Should try 🤗 There is a local market nearby. Good chicken restaurants and 7-11.

• Hugo (7/5): Functional place to stay, well-located - Well-situated hostel with functional beds, showers and kitchen. "Breakfast" is one pot noodle per stay (not per night); there is a bar in the cellar that is a bit noisy; depending on which bed you are in, the light from the hallway might shine right on you if someone opens the door to go to the toilet.
• Bruce (8/5): Guest house in an excellent location. - Everything was very good , breakfast was noodles and coffee which ok . The room was good , very comfortable with a big bathroom . Location was excellent only a stones throw from the entrance to the fortress. Nice area and it was very safe. Air conditioning was very old and struggled but they had new fans in the room which made up for it.
• Lily (8/5): Very good - It's really spacious (kitchen and living room). The owner was cute and receptive. I discovered later that you can use washing machine and dryer for few won, a good point. It's near transports and attractions (fortress, park, and markets). After the chicken street, I decided to follow the river, and I was amazed to discover the Gwanggyo Reservoir with the sunset. I recommend this guesthouse, you can do everything on foot.

• Alicia (8/5): A good place to stay for 1 or 2 nights - Very well situated, 5 minutes walking from the palace and the south gate There are 4 beds in the room, big windows one the whole wall facing the streets (3 layers : transparent, opaque, and with an insect net, you can choose which one you want), and big curtains to block the light. There are many electricity outlets next to the bed, and I really like the heating system connecting to a small blanket that goes under you (be careful it does not go off automatically after some time ! If you don’t stop it will continue to be warm, fire hazard ? I don’t think it’s hot enough for this but we never know !) The bathroom is more or less clean, and big bottles of body liquid soap, shampoo and conditionner are available in each shower (2 showers for girl’s section). There is also a fridge, and a kitchen with appliances to cook, and a machine for cold and hot water. If I must find something I would point out that the guest house is on the first floor (well second for Korea since for them first floor is ground floor) but not lift ! But first floor is still ok I think, not too much stairs to climb with a bit suitcase, I have done way worse. Also, as many have already said in previous comments : not really « breakfast included » a plastic bowl of instant ramen is on the bed with towel and sheets when you arrived. But, hey, I needed something energetic to climb the fortress and didn’t have any food with me so I’m not going to complain too much. It’s just a strange breakfast !
