- Esther (10/5): Charming spot, gracious hosts, beautiful decor, delicious fresh breakfast all made a superb stay. - The property, hospitality, decor, breakfast were all exceptional. The hosts communicated beautifully in English with us. The entire experience was relaxing and heavenly. The honor system for using the bar was fabulous. The hosts even accommodated my Wimbledon TV wishes, though a TV is not usually available. We were very sad that we had to leave. We wished we had booked a longer stay.

- Stephanie Mariana (10/5): Cozy, comfortable and a perfect quiet place to relax. - Amazing! Very very beautiful and comfortable, very close to the small town, and also to the bus stop. In my opinion only the price, was pretty expensive, but the experience was great though.
- Francois (10/5): On y reviendra !
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shivangee (9/5): Dreamy guesthouse - The entire property is beautifully decorated and well maintained. Line and Carsten are amazing hosts, they were very kind to us. We really loved the breakfast here, it was fresh (bread just out of the oven fresh) and locally sourced. The gardens at the front and the back were nothing less than dreamy. The kitchenette could be stocked with some tea and coffee, so the guests wouldn't have to disturb the hosts for such small things.
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (9/5): Beautiful, peaceful, stylish, welcoming - a lovely place to stay. - We were a party of 11 staying at the Aggershøj over the weekend for a wedding, and the hosts Carsten & Line could not have been more hospitable. The main house was super stylish and comfortable and a lovely place to chill and hang out together, as was the meeting room which we used all weekend. The extensive gardens are beautiful and peaceful. Breakfast each morning was delicious - youghurt, home-made granola, bread, pastries, eggs, coffee. They also run an honesty bar with a great range of gin&tonics, wine, beer, etc.
Also useful was the electric car charger on site.
Above all Carsten and Line are so warm and welcoming and they made the hotel feel like our home for the wedding weekend. Amazing! The rooms themselves are in a separate building behind the main house and are comfortable and stylish but definitely on the small side (the double beds are up against the wall). Every room has its own sink, but they're not fully ensuite. Showers and toilets are at the end of the corridor and shared between all the rooms. For us this was fine, but beware you'll probably pass other guests in the corridor in the morning on your way to the loo!
- Janne (9/5): We had an excellent stay and will recommend the place:) - Lovely place and hosts, good breakfast and lots of excellent info from the hosts. Bed towards the wall on one side, a bit far to the bathroom.
- Francisco (10/5): Best place to stay at Æro - Wonderful place to stay if you visit the beautiful and relaxed island of Æro. Such an amazing decoration, relaxing atmosphere, and the best breakfast. The owner and hostess is extremely kind, collaborative and helpful, about the places to go and where to eat. A must if in Denmark
- Kristine (8/5): Perfect as a base to explore Aeroe with close access to the ferry in Marstal. - The house is magical, the garden is beautiful and the breakfast is 10/10! Line and Carsten were so lovely and welcoming. The interior is so unique and lots of lovely spaces to hang out Only downside was the shared bathrooms but not a major issue, just took a little getting used to.
- Jane (10/5): Special place - Aggershoj is a really special place. Line has thought about every detail and presents everything beautifully. Beds are comfortable, great showers, lovely breakfast. But just relaxing in all the communal spaces they have created is the real joy. We were there for our son's wedding and they were so helpful and kind and generous with their time and advise.
- Jodie (10/5): Beautiful accomodation and the best hosts ever! - Every moment of our stay at this beautiful house was amazing. Line & Carsten were the most welcoming hosts ever and made our wedding morning preparations extra special and calm - we will be back to visit one day when we can stay longer to enjoy this beautiful place. Thank you! The interior perfectly blends the history of the house, alongside carefully selected modern interior elements. N/A - everything was perfect!
- Nicky (10/5): Fantastic place and very friendly owners making the stay a memorable experience. Absolutely recommendable! - Fantastic place and very friendly owners making the stay a memorable experience.
Absolutely recommendable! Nothing really.
- Volker-joachim (10/5): Amazing house, comfy rooms and top notch interior design - Amazing house, which is carefully maintained and stylishly designed. The interior is welcoming and very modern with a high sense for perfect details. The owners provide a very personal service and very delicious breakfast. The service is discreet yet attentive so you can fully focus on relaxing. All facilities are carefully and personally equipped providing a cozy atmosphere. Even the dog is a great and attentive yet reserved host.
- Lily (9/5): Jump at the chance to stay here—it’s wonderful - What a fabulous accommodation—Line and Carsten have done an amazing job with this property. It’s comfortable, cosy and brimming with Danish hygge. The rooms are comfortable, but it’s the main house that’s the shining star. With an eclectic mix of furniture, cosy nooks everything, and an “honesty bar” where you can fix a cocktail or sample a great collection of wine, and wonderful hospitality, guests are made to feel right at home. Breakfast is unbelievably good, delicious and satisfying and comes with tea, coffee and juice. In the summer afternoons, the beautiful front gardens are transformed into a cafe and wine bar. If you’re lucky, you’ll also find a DJ playing cool tracks under the summer sun.
Two nights wasn’t long enough, so I’d encourage everyone to stay longer. There are two showers and three toilets shared by guests. I’d prefer my own bathroom, but shared facilities are to be expected in a pension, and were as advertised. And given how wonderful the property was, it was something I was happy to forego for the opportunity to stay there.
- Renata (10/5): Exceptional - Incredible hosts. They made everything extra special.
- Viktoria (10/5): Home away from home - We had a wonderful time on Ærø at Aggershøj Pensionat. Line and Carsten are two wonderful hosts who also made their home a temporary home for us. With great attention to detail, they have created an open, welcoming place in Marstal. We'll be back, that's for sure. Thank you for everything!
- Ivy (10/5): Great space and even better hosts. - Amazing staff and beautiful property. A very comfortable bed and breakfast truly a great escape and relaxing environment.
- Sophie (10/5): Such a special place - can’t wait to come back! - We enjoyed every minute of our stay at Aggershøj Pensionat! Line and Carsten were such lovely hosts and made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived. My partner and I had just got married that day, and this was the perfect place to celebrate!
The house itself is beautifully restored and decorated, yet feels super homely at the same time. Our main highlights were the delicious food, homely atmosphere and of course the beautiful dog Gerdes! The bedrooms were well equipped and it was very handy to have a sink in each room (especially when sharing a bathroom).
We left feeling relaxed and refreshed and with some amazing memories. We already can’t wait to come back in years to come!
- Sien (10/5): A home away from home - The attention to detail was evident in every aspect. The entire house exuded a sense of comfort and relaxation. What truly set this hotel apart was Line’s genuine care and commitment to ensuring our stay was perfect. It's rare to find a hotel that can make you feel so at home in such a short time.
- Ara (8/5): Very good -
- Donal (10/5): Exceptional - An exceptional place to stay.
- Regina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michele (10/5): A place to recommend - A very nice and cozy hotel, reminds of a youth hostel organization but with a higher standard. common leaving rooms (with sophisticated and welcoming furniture), small but well organized and comfortable sleeping rooms, shared but very clean and elegant showers and rest rooms. beautiful common garden. very nice snd helpful owners.
