• Clarisse (8/5): Bon rapport qualité-prix dans une zone centrale. - Super emplacement et très belle maison. La literie est très confortable. La cuisine manque d'équipements (casseroles, couvercles, ...) et l'appartement pourrait être un peu plus chaleureux, mais c'est un très bon rapport qualité-prix, au vu de la situation.
• ASKARIDOU Victoria (8/5): για το διαμερισμα με τα 4 δωματια , μπορω να πω οτι ειναι ενα ονειρεμενο σπιτι - Ηταν καταπληκτικοι οι ιδιοκτητες , απαντουσαν αμεσως στα μηνυματα και προσπαθησαν και ελυσαν ενα προβλημα που υπήρχε. Μας εδωσαν για να μας ευχαριστήσουν ενα αλλο διαμερισμα, που ηταν απλα υπεροχο πραγματικα, δεν εχω λογια , για την εξυπηρέτηση το διαμερισμα που κλεισαμε ήταν με 2 δωματια και ήταν πραγματικα υπογειο, με παρα πολυ θορυβο. Εντομεταξύ , ειχα ενημερωσει οτι μολις ειχα τελειωσει χημειοθεραπειες και το βραδυ που πηγαμε , εγω δεν κοιμηθηκα καθολου...ευτυχως , μας αλλαξαν το επομενο πρωι , και μας εδωσαν ενα σπιτι υπεροχο με 4 δωματια, χωρις εξτρα χρεωση και οι διακοπες μας πηγαν υπεροχα!

Trovo la descrizione e le foto fuorvianti in quanto si parla di 2 appartamenti mostrandoli come se fossero su due piani mentre in realtà l’appartamento che ci è stato dato era in un seminterrato senza alcuna vista e un po’ soffocante ( altezza soffitto 2m).

• Juwel4567 (8/5): - Wir hatten die Wovnung im Untergeschoss. Die Lage der Zimmer war etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Nach der zweiten Nacht wusste man wo das Bad ist. Das Wohnzimmer war zum Essen für vier Personen etwas eng, aber machbar. Ansonsten war es seht sauber und alles vorhanden, was man benötigte. Die Wohnung liegt sehr zentral.

• Erika (8/5): Csodás időt töltöttünk itt. - Közelben van vásárlási, étkezési lehetőség. Csendes, nyugodt környezet. Azt találtuk ott amit az oldalon hirdettek. Jó időnk volt, az utak járhatóak voltak. Az egyik takaróhuzat foltos volt, valószínűleg nyirkosan lett eltéve, ettől penészedhetett be.

• Kathryn (6/5): Misleading advertising 'Spacious Historic home with basement flat underneath' is more accurate. - Walkable distance to and from town but be prepared for a long walk uphill and icy pavements - the flat itself had a smell of drains (not just the usual Icelandic sulphur smell) but was relatively well equipped with comfortable beds and it was nice to have throws for the sofa - having a washing machine was a bonus if travelling with small children. Our favorite part was next doors cat coming to visit when you leave the bathroom window open. He was lovely. We didn't realise we had booked a basement flat under the house until we received the entry instructions a week before our trip. The house is advertised as a 'historic home' so it's not clear you might end up in a basement flat - when we asked about changing the booking we were told it was not possible so I feel other travellers could be misled and based on a non refundable non cancellable fee there was nothing we could do - the advert could do with being made much clearer. The noise between the upstairs and the basement flat is also horrendous - there is no soundproofing at all if the upstairs is occupied.

L'appartamento che abbiamo prenotato era in un seminterrato (cosa che non era specificata da nessuna parte), il soffitto è alquanto basso e l'intero appartamento risulta umido. L'appartamento non era molto pulito, cerano vari ragni sparsi per la casa. Il bagno, a cui si accede dalla cucina, era particolarmente umido e abbastanza maleodorante.

Nelle camere da letto si sentivano distintamente rumori piano di sopra compreso un gocciolamento continuo durante tutta la notte. Lo specchio non stava sopra il lavandino.
• Beth Donahue (9/5): - The apartment was a basement unit, but surprisingly well lit. The beds were firm, not my favorite, but nice. Bedding was as expected. The unit was nice and clean. The unit is very comfortable for 4 people. We didn't cook in. Kitchen was basic , but seemed to have what would be necessary. Check-in was easy. Off street parking was nice. Combination with host was good. Slight wifi issue, quickly addressed. The tile steps and entryway get slippery if there is any rain on your feet. You need to bring shower soap, shampoo and conditioner.. Akureyri is in a valley and the walk up from town is quite steep. Not really a problem. Jut something to note.

• Rochow (10/5): Eine ausgezeichnete Unterkunft, sehr zu empfehlen! - Ein traumhafter Aufenthalt in Akureyri! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Unser Aufenthalt im Ferienhaus in Akureyri war einfach fantastisch! Die Unterkunft war nicht nur makellos sauber, sondern auch mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet – man spürt sofort, dass hier mit Herz gearbeitet wurde. Die Ausstattung war hervorragend: eine voll ausgestattete Küche, gemütliche Betten, Grill, Waschmaschine und alles, was man für einen entspannten Urlaub braucht. Die ruhige Lage hat uns besonders gefallen – ideal zum Abschalten, und dennoch so zentral, dass man Akureyri und die Umgebung bequem erkunden kann. Nach unseren Ausflügen war es jedes Mal eine Freude, in dieses gemütliche Zuhause zurückzukehren. Die Gastgeberin war außergewöhnlich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Kommunikation verlief unkompliziert und herzlich, und wir fühlten uns vom ersten Moment an willkommen und bestens betreut. Wir können dieses Ferienhaus von ganzem Herzen empfehlen und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Ein echtes Highlight unserer Islandreise – wir kommen garantiert wieder! -
• SANDRINE (9/5): - L’’appartement est très bien équipé et propre. Il est calme et spacieux pour 4. Des places de parking se trouvent a proximité. Merci pour les précisions de l'hôte. L’Appartement est en sous sol mais très lumineux . Quelques bruits de tuyaux d'eau la 1ere nuit. Heureusement nous avions des boules quies La nuit suivante était sans bruit. .
• Roberto (3/5): Se si cerca una stanza a prezzo basso, molto spartana e non si mangia in casa - La posizione non era male e anche il prezzo basso, ma non sono sicuro che sia stato un buon rapporto qualità/prezzo L’appartamento è un sotto scala, il soggiorno con divano letto e tavolo davvero molto piccolo per 6. Per fare la barba era necessario usato un lavandino nello sgabuzzino dove c’era il frigorifero perché in bagno non c’era uno specchio sopra il lavandino ma solo sulla parete opposta. Cucina sporca, i cassetti delle posate e pentole molto sporchi

• Ruta (9/5): Efficient and well-equipped apartment in Northern Iceland - The apartment was clean and had all that was needed, including a washer and drying rack. The kitchen was well equipped, and the fridge was huge. The city has lots of shopping and serves as a gateway to northern Iceland. All was fine.

Coffee machine out of coffee, and I did not know how to use the microwave but no big deal. We had pleasant 2 nights in the apartment.

The lower bathroom was very compact and the exhaust was not there . Could not open the window as cold air was coming in . The back door locks not operating thus the entry was open 24 hrs .

• Venu (8/5): The stay was enjoyable. - The property was well kept and it had a great first impression. Also, the fully furnished house gave us a nice setting to stay for two nights. Each room was sized perfectly for everyone to comfortably occupy. Out of the two bathrooms, the one on the bottom floor was small and cramped. It was a little difficult to take showers and get ready.
• Diana (10/5): Nice house, problem solving host - We really appreciated the location, the apartment, the quiet surroundings. What we also appreciated (and the main reason for not giving a lower score) was the ability and willingness of the host to resolve the problems. When we arrived it was late and Sunday and the apartment was not cleaned from the previous guests. Although it is the last thing you want when you arrive late, tired and hungry we really appreciated that the host quickly send someone who cleaned the apartment and we could enjoy everything.

We had to get this place in emergency since the roads were closed and we wanted a place to stay the night. Worked out fine. The kitchen facility was very helpful. The directions to get the key could have been better so we didn't have to bother the host. The host was very responsive and helpful, so it worked out fine.
• Marjan (6/5): Pleasant - The outside of the house is beautiful and it is located on a short walking distance to the centre of Akureyri. The appartement is situated in a quiet neighbourhood. The property manager is friendly and was quick to solve a problem with the shower. The beds and couch are comfortable and the TV setup is nice. The appartement was very dirty. Lots of dust everywhere, long black hairs on the towels, the shower having pink soap buildup as well as limescale, and most of the dishes still dirty with old food residue. When we arrived the shower was not draining and there were no dishtowels or rags to clean (though the property manager fixed the shower quickly after we called). It turned out to be a basement 'appartment', which we didnt know during booking. The air quality was poor, which resulted in having a stuffy nose. There were also many flies in the appartment which added to the unsanitary atmosphere.

Even the beds were absolutely huge. Further, good mattresses, good kitchen, loved the profile characters on Netflix. Just a note, these are a bit sud terrein apartments, still there is a lot of light coming in

Well furnished, cosy and comfortable. Home from home. Good location close to the centre and all main facilities. Good Wi-Fi and TV services.
• Dorle (8/5): Very good - We booked the apartment/House with a family of six. It was very comfortable and nice. I can totally recommend that. The house was located around 1.5km from the city center with a tiny supermarket close by and a large one a short car ride away. The dish washer was a bit tricky because it was a bit broken but still functional.
• Vijay (6/5): Good location but careless owner/caretaker - The location When we reached at 6pm the apartment it was not ready, the caretaker/owner apologised but we had to wait although we were tired. Later on I forgot my jacket there as inspite of talking to her to send it it to me to Reykjavik at my cost, she assured me but never bothered to take calls or reply to messages. I am highly disappointed 😞

• Ryan (10/5): Exceptional - Location, good and spacious, and comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet but it was also a short walk to downtown. It had any amenity that we would've wanted. The living space was large enough to accommodate 7 travelers while still being quite cozy.
