• Ludirasih (9/5): Good location to stay around Rotherbaum - Room have a heater, shared bathroom are clean, common area and kitchen stuffs including stove, microwave and coffee machine. Additional (paid) condiments to make enjoyable breakfast The sleeping mattress can be improved.

• Wiebke Ol (8/5): Einfach und gut, top Lage! - Super Lage in einem schönen Viertel in Hamburg. Gute Anbindung an die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel und auch Zufuß vieles erreichbar! Zimmer und Bäder, wie viele bereits geschrieben haben, sauber - aber durchaus etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Einfach aber zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Ausreichend Schrankvolumen, das alles verstaut werden kann. Sehr nettes Personal! Hatten damit gerechnet, das es etwas lauter sein könnte, haben aber von den Mitbewohnern kaum etwas gehört oder gesehen. Vielen Dank dafür 😀 Insgesamt ein gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, für den nächsten Besuch auf jeden Fall vorgemerkt! Gibt nichts zu meckern!

• happy chick (9/5): 4 Nächte Hamburg - gerne wieder - Ich hatte ein Doppelzimmer für mich alleine mit Gartenausgang. So hatte ich genügend Platz um mich auszubreiten. Das war super. Zu 2. ist es schon eher klein, aber ich denke es reicht. Die Dusche/WC war für 4 Zimmer und es gab nie Stau davor. Es war sehr sauber. Die Zimmernachbarn habe ich nicht gehört, wenn jemand die Türe aufgeschlossen hat und die WC Spülung hat man jedoch gut gehört. Aber das war nicht weiter schlimm. Ich war sehr überrascht von dem Gratis Angebot in der Küche. Toastbrot, Tee, Kaffee, Müesliriegel, frische knackige Äpfel. Für die Butter, Konfitüre, Babybellkäse etc. bezahlt man 60 Cent pro Stück was ich sehr angemessen finde. Die Lage ist ebenfalls gut. In ca. 30 Min ist man beim Rathaus zu Fuss. Es hat viele Restaurants im Quartier sowie einen Netto, Rewe fussläufig. Ich empfehle das Hotel gerne weiter! Ah und die drag queen- Show im Pulverfass ist ebenfalls genial! Sehr zu empfehlen. War alles top.
• Giorgia (9/5): - Struttura semplice ma accogliente, in una posizione tranquilla. Ho apprezzato la pulizia, soprattutto quella dei bagni. Personale gentile, spazi non troppo grandi ma più che sufficienti per un soggiorno di breve durata, ottima la presenza di una cucina con possibilità di avere tè, caffè e acqua gratis. Camere non proprio insonorizzate ma ok

• Robert (8/5): - Das Zimmer war praktisch, sauber und aufgeäumt. Es gab sogar verschiedene Sachen zum Frühstück, bei denen man sich für einen günstigen Preis bedienen konnte. Alles in allem war das Zimmer jeden Euro wert.

• Dean (8/5): Perfect for travel if you want something private and not too pricey. - A very quiet place. Nice surroundings with many varied and decent restaurants nearby. Location away from the center but easy to reach with convenient and quick local transportation. I liked the fact that complimentary fruit and snacks were offered, plus free coffee :-) The kitchen was clean and spacious, everything was available in a good condition and we were able to cook our own food! No ironing board.

• Lennart (8/5): Good stay, - Very nice staff, friendly reception with a little tour. The room was nice. The shower strong and as warm as you'd like. Our curtain broke the first night, we informed staff on the second day but nothing happened. 2 nights without a curtain was not ideal. I would have informed the staff again about this at departure, but there was nobody to check out with.

• John (10/5): A perfect option for budget-conscious travellers - A five-star experience! The location was perfect, the facilities were modern and well maintained, and the staff were friendly and attentive. It's also great value for money. This hostel exceeded all of our expectations. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending it to friends and family. I have nothing bad to say about Basement Rotherbaum. Our experience was positive in every way. You would be silly not to book this accommodation when visiting Hamburg.

• Alfred (9/5): Preis-Leistungs Hammer am Rothenbaum - Wir waren 10.30 an der Unterkunft und durften schon rein ins Zimmer. Die Zimmer sind klein aber sehr zweckmäßig. Der Aufenthaltsraum/Küche mit Kühlschrank ist toll. Waren schon 2024 und kommen sehr gerne wieder. Es gab wirklich nichts zu beanstanden. Preis-Leistung ist einfach unschlagbar in der Umgebung.

• Ludirasih (9/5): Simple and comfy staying in Hamburg center - Location is nearby to public transport, shops and eating places. The room is a bit small but clean. The bathroom are shared but always clean. WiFi is good. The staff are helpful with good English speaking. Free coffee/ tea and some snacks always make us happy. The front desk. Maybe staff could be available at least from morning until check in time, everyday. It will bring more hospitality ambience.
• Steven (10/5): Great value shared apartment! - Great shared kitchen, love all the things they put out for you to use. nice little yard as well. Great value for this location. Recommend visiting the botanic garden that's walking distance--it's lovely.
• Yván (8/5): Very good - Perfectly located for events in the Hamburg Mess and Congresses, it's a 10 minutes walk. You can cook your own meals, there are food supply stores like an EDEKA S. Anders; and other stores around. There are fruits, cereal bars, coffee and toasts for free. Sometimes the bathroom was not clean. As bathrooms are shared with other guests, not everyone is careful and I found it dirty a couple of times. I cleaned it with toiled paper, but having a mop to clean it would be good. I don't mind cleaning, but I do care not being able to clean a dirty bathroom floor.

• Ludirasih (8/5): It is a great option to have short stay in Hamburg with good value of money. - It was a room hotel with shared bath room and the bath room always clean. Surprisingly they also provided hair dryer in the bathroom. The shared kitchen have free coffee machine, various tea and bread (butter and jams are additional) . It was enough to grab a quick breakfast. Microwave and stove can be used for reheat ready to eat food.

• Elias (8/5): Very clean and cozy! - Extremely clean facilities and friendly staff! Very nice location as well. It was well worth the price! The door to the room had quite a gap when closed, so everytime a door closed elsewhere in the building the draft would cause an annoying banging. However, this was the only negative aspect of our stay.

• Kadri (8/5): Very good - Small hotel in a residential area,close to a uni.campus. 15 min.walk to Hamburg Messe which is great. Lots of cafe-restaurant options around. Room was exactly as advertised in the photo. Shared bathroom was Ok. All in all, worked well for me. Several small rooms at same floor, you can hear the voice of doors opening-closing and the voice of people in the corridor. Anyways, it was not a big deal for me. Internet connection could have been faster.

Cafés and restaurants very close, Schanze, St. Pauli, harbour - all very close, easy to reach. Not to forget Planten un Blomen, which everyone should visit. Friendy staff, nice rooms - I like it, have been there twice already. Nothing. I really like it.

• Claudia (9/5): Felt safe and at home in that quiet place - The friendly welcome, the free coffee, tea, apples and bars, fridge, cooking facility, and walking distance from Hamburg-Dammtor. I liked the window with trees in the basement garden.and the quiet area and surroundings The bed didn't have a cotton cover but polyester bedsheet on the mattress in which you sweat, and the cupboard was 200x 40 x 40 cms only, useless, because the handluggage 55x40x20 cm didn't fit inside. I didn't sleep well also because of coughing guests and noisy guests returning late or leaving early.
• Longyu (8/5): Good for a short stay. - It's located in a very quiet area and close to Hamburg University. Both bedroom and bathroom are clean. The staff is friendly. The bedroom is not very soundproof. You can hear others passing by at night.

• Gloria (7/5): The cleanliness is great and my first impression of the staff is good: friendly, helpful, efficient. - The room was very clean. The staff member who greeted me and checked me in on my day of arrival, was very nice. The bed was uncomfortable; it had a thin mattress not made for sleeping. The other guests were very noisy even during late night hours. There was a lot of door slamming, loud talking, people going in and out of their rooms throughout late night hours.
