Guest Reviews
- Russell (9/5): - Fantastic location, very quiet and peaceful. The kitchen had everything you could need and more. Sofa in the living room was a bit old and tired.
- Rebecca (8/5): Lovely quiet location right by the sea - Great location right by the sea. Lovely walks along the beach and sea wall. Easy distance from Rye and Dungeness. Very well equipped.
- Rene (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eileen (9/5): Lovely - Location was great, well equipped very comfortable beds, Lovely bed linin quite, warm and cozy. I think for the price we paid I would have expected to be provided with wood for the three nights we stayed. I did email owners prior to going to ask about this as I could have taken wood with me, they never responded. We had to pay £38 for more wood.
- Anne (9/5): Gorgeous little dog friendly cottage with everything we needed for a lovely weekend. - Beautiful old cottage with everything we could need. Very comfortable beds and lovely to have the wood burner in the cosy sitting room.
We were friends meeting up for the weekend with our dogs so great that it was dog friendly and having the closed off lobby areas at both doors meant we could clean up muddy paws easily. They also kept the house really warm.
The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed and a nice touch to have some milk, juice etc on arrival. The approach to the house from both directions is a bit bleak. We loved being out of the town with easy access to the beach and path but this might put people off.
- Jane (9/5): Superb - Location to the sea
- Miller (10/5): Exceptional -
- Claire (10/5): Exceptional - Stayed here for our mini moon and it was just perfect. The house is lovely and so cosy, there was fresh crisps, beer and milk waiting for us, and wood for the fire. It's a 1 minute walk from the beach opposite and the western car park for the main beach is 5 minutes drive away. The kitchen is fully equipped and has basic bits which saves you bringing them along. The bath on the third floor is a really lovely touch as well and perfect to unwind. The check in process was easy, the information online from the owners was incredible. The robes were another lovely touch and the bed is one of the comfiest I've stayed in.
Was sad to leave! That we had to leave!
- Kate (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eva (10/5): we absolutely loved it, it was very special - location, all the beautiful details, decor , welcome pack
- Gareth (10/5): Exceptional - Very well equipped and furnished cottage close to the beach. Super comfortable beds with a cozy and sociable kitchen. The sandy beach is 1 minute away and is perfect for dog walks but watch out for the tide.
The owners provide excellent guest information and make it clear the cottage is fairly remote and shops and pubs are either a short drive or a long walk away. Nothing!
- Sam (10/5): Perfect for a getaway. Nice and quiet. Great hosts. - Excellent and well equipped accommodation. Perfect for the getaway we needed. Hosts provided the best information I've ever seen for a place to stay (home specific information and tailored guide, recommendations for local area, and nice extra touches to make you feel welcome). The home was comfortable, spacious, and had everything we needed to switch off. TIP: Make sure you research/plan what you're doing food-wise. Nothing open before 09:30 for breakfast in the area (we visited in December). Nothing :)
- Rebecca (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rachael (10/5): Magnificent, cozy & homely - Had a fantastic 3 night stay. Loved the cottage inside and out. Decor was well thought out - modern with a seaside twist. The bed was the most comfortable bed we’ve ever slept in (when away). Great location, steps from the beach/ sea. The bath/ chill out room at the top was a lovely place to chill. Very helpful online booklet with all relevant information included. Would highly recommend as a getaway location. Loved everything.
- Gwyneth (9/5): brilliantly - lovely and clean and well designed for a beach side cottage
