Guest Reviews
- Mel Sherriff (8/5): Very scenic but felt a little overpriced - Very quiet and beautiful location and very comfortable bed and seating area. It was really nice to have access to the garden too. It's walking distance to Stow on the Wold as long as you don't mind walking on rural roads. I felt it was quite expensive for a self catering apartment but I'm not sure if that's just because of where it is. It was also smaller than I expected but not sure if that's just because of the way the ceiling is because of the layout and location of the apartment. Also, because it's over the garage, there were a few times when we heard a lot of banging of doors.
- Stuart (7/5): Clean comfy room, professional service, good breakfast. Little on the pricey side but par for area - Easy to find, nice location. Several guests all arrived at the same time, at the end of a long day, most of whom weren't native English speakers. Even so Amanda was professional in getting everyone checked in promptly, and helpful in providing information regarding local area such as places to eat out.
Room was clean. Linen spotless. Shower a little small but hot and had good pressure. Bed was very comfy, had a really good night sleep.
Breakfast had a lot of options. Amanda was pleasant and accommodating, service quick, and eggs cooked to order.
No complaints with room, staff, or breakfast. Only disappointment was I had the idea I would be staying in a farmhouse type environment, with the owner/host. Which I accept was down to my personal interpretation of the listing. Not realising it's a hotel meant i was a little disappointed to discover I wouldn't be in a less formal, more open home type environment.
Also I expected to be able to take my morning coffee and sit in the garden to appreciate the view. But there's a new garage built across the property that's not shown in the photo, and the rear section of the grounds is fenced off, so isn't accessible.
As a hotel, it's perfectly suitable, no complaints. But my expectations were somewhat different.
Even so, still recommend staying here if you're looking to explore Stow on Wold and wider Cotswolds area.

- Michael (8/5): Good spot for a couple of nights if you spend most of your time touring. - Central to all our regional day trips. Small apartment with limited furnishings.
- Marlene (9/5): - Very nice rooms and Amanda is lovely
Struttura estremamente pulita e curata.
Parcheggio gratuito disponibile.
Splendido giardino curato.
Colazione eccellente. Nulla.
Tutto magnifico.

- Hayley (8/5): Very quiet, but great location. - Lovely guesthouse, very central to many locations.
- Lindsey (10/5): Beautiful location and very helpful and accommodating host - I had a delicious omelette straight from the aga You can’t walk to a nearby shop/pub easily

- Paul (10/5): - Very comfortable stay
- Gordon (10/5): Fabulous place and hostess, we highly recommend a quiet stay here. - Amanda is a wonderful, extremely organized and accommodating hostess. She's very efficient and helpful with suggestions. Her property and setting are beautiful, minutes from downtown Stow and the free all day parking at Tesco. We had a fun time chatting with her and making friends with her dog Molly. The room was perfect, the view serene and the full English breakfast delicious and promptly delivered. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend her place for a charming, well located Cotswolds stay.
- Georgiana (6/5): Clean, quiet and comfortable. Fortunate to find somewhere with a twin room a bath. -
- Michael (9/5): Will come again for sure - room and breakfast N/A
- Peter (8/5): -
- Andreas Urrang (9/5): - Breakfast, and everything was very good
- William (10/5): -

- Paul (8/5): I don’t think we had the best room but would definitely stay again. Amanda, the owner is amazing, she did everything sh - Beautiful surroundings. Amanda let us sit out the back for drinks etc. beautiful views and very peaceful The bathroom was very small and the shower not the best. But the room was clean and comfortable
- Keith (7/5): - Location Garden poorly kept blocking promised view's
- Emily (10/5): Yet another memorable stay at this lovely B&B - Tranquil, friendly and very clean and tidy Nothing
- Robert (10/5): - Everything the hostess the breakfast the room location the view
- David (9/5): Pleasant;; quiet and relaxing stay, - We liked the views out of our bedroom window. The breakfast was execellent in every way Perhaps a walk in shower might be useful,
- Paul (10/5): A comfortable relaxing characterful place to stay, with a very friendly and helpful manager. - Very pleasant, good location excellent service and food. Nothing really
- Cristina (10/5): Bellissimo soggiorno, lo consiglio vivamente! - Struttura accogliente e pulita!
- Ian (9/5): Everything that it was meant to be - Breakfast was excellent
- Jocelyn (9/5): - Beautiful guesthouse, Amanda was lovely and helpful. Clean. Very close to Stow on Wold and Bourton on the Water. Delicious Breakfast. Our room was a bit small, for our luggage.
- Eva (8/5): - La localización céntrica para visitar todo. Tiene parking. Muy cerca de stow y muy bonito
- mahesh (3/5): - Location was great Host was extremely rude and abrupt .
- Gisele (8/5): Good value and comfortable place for a short stay - Everything we needed for one night. Including complimentary biscuits, coffee, tea, and water inside the room. The room was tidy and warm. The room was small and the angles of the ceiling inside the room were lower than usual. We bumped our head 3 times 3 different places. :(
- Indy (10/5): -
- Vicci (8/5): -
- Margo (8/5): Excellent - Very friendly, breakfast very good , we shall be revisiting. N/a
- Kay (5/5): Excellent location, but disappointing property - The property was perfectly located for accessibility to all our favourite places in the Cotswolds.
The single beds were comfortable, although soft.
The shower was easy to use, hot and powerful.
Once shown, the television was easy to use and the picture was sharp. When the two single beds were pushed together to make a double, there was a distinct ridge between them.
The bed was too big for the bedroom, meaning there was no room for bedside tables.
The sofa was the spare single beds, making it too wide to sit on comfortably.
The flat was in the eaves so there were places where it was difficult to stand up straight, such as the shower and parts of the bedroom.
The hangers on the hanging rail were of poor quality.
- Ian (8/5): - Very comfortable accommodation and a friendly host
- Soraan (8/5): -
- MolKot (9/5): Overall great room and breakfast for a decent price - Amanda was a gracious host and despite a mix up with Booking.com she was able to accommodate us. The room was nicely equipped and bed was comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was very nice and tasty, Amanda offered a wide selection of items to pick from. Lighting in the bathroom was very dim and the mirror was very dark.
- lidija (10/5): -
- Moss (8/5): Lovely place great views and quiet, finished off with a great breakfast. - Great breakfast and very friendly...Also accomodated our needs and let us have a room to change in as we had a wedding to attend before the check in time.
- michael (3/5): -
- Chelsea (10/5): -
- Carolyn (8/5): Easy access for the Cotswold villages. - Easy to find. Twin bedded room so I could stay with my daughter… so many places only have double beds so this is a bonus to find a proper twin room. Good Wi-Fi. Although the mattress was very comfortable I did not sleep very well because the divan base was quite squeaky. When I told the hostess this, she said no one had ever mentioned it before, so I felt in the wrong for saying something when, actually, I felt it was important for her to know. Sorry for being honest! I know the hostess was distracted because her dog was ill but I felt like I was an inconvenience to her.
I was surprised when I went to breakfast at 8.30am that there was no room for me. I had to return to my room for 15 minutes. I was not on a schedule but had I been this would have been a nuisance.
- Lesley (7/5): -
- Josh (10/5): Great host very friendly and helpful - Great host
- Claire (9/5): Excellent - Early breakfast offered as Daughter running a local half marathon. Tight parking.i
- Lewis (10/5): Excellent accommodation and host, 2nd visit and would defiantly use again and recommend to others - Amanda the host is very friendly and accommodating. Guesthouse is in a very desirable location near to local places of interest. Nothing to not like
- Joanne (6/5): A beautiful location which feels remote but is surprisingly close to Stowe on the Wold. - Beautiful location. Breakfast very limited. Owner very rushed, felt uncomfortable asking anything.
- Rifat (9/5): -
- Allan (10/5): -
- Sheila (10/5): Delightful hostess, providing a welcoming environment and lovely breakfasts. - Charming, attractive property surrounded by fields and trees with walks nearby. Quiet location but convenient for Stow and other towns and attractions. Nothing
- Conor (10/5): Perfect experience for a prime location in the Cotswolds - Host was lovely, attentive, welcoming and provided a great breakfast every morning. She provided lots of information about things to do locally, which allowed us to have an amazing experience. We walked to Stow and the Heart of England trail locally to other villages. Great location for us to explore. Rooms were cosy and provided everything we needed for our stay, no complaints. Would highly recommend and will return in the future. Nothing.
- Ginene (10/5): - The house has a warm homely feel. Amanda was very helpful with local tips on things to do and places to eat. There were a lot of choices for breakfast and we got to converse with other guests who also gave us some travel tips. Nothing everything was great.
- Green (10/5): -
- Davies (8/5): - Lovely stay here with my partner. Thanks for having us.
- Lior (9/5): - Lovely host who take care about everything. The room is clean, the location is good and the breakfast is great. Noise from the cars on the street while windows are open. The sink didn't clear out the water properly. The room was quite small.
- Liz (9/5): Our Hostess Amanda, was wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble. - Tiny TV that was not a Smart TV. Our room was nice and compact but we would have enjoyed being able to relax in a lounge.
- Karen (10/5): -
- michael (10/5): invigorating and enjoyable - Very friendly host.
Very quiet location
Fantastic fellow travellers to chat with.
Scrumptious breakfast.
Clean and fresh room. Nothing
- Roldvaldo (10/5): -
- Graham (10/5): -
- Janice (4/5): Very disappointing - On arrival we found the guesthouse host brusk which made us feel unwelcome. Parking was a problem because if all of the rooms are booked it is inevitable that the tight parking arrangement will cause some vehicles to be blocked in by late arrivals, as we experienced. A so called lay-by was suggested as an alternative option for parking but this meant parking on a grass verge close to a road junction and NOT a designated lay-by. There was no off road parking either as the guesthouse is at the side of the main B4077 road to Stowe. We had booked for two nights but only stayed for one because we felt unwelcome and unsure if a parking space would be available, although 'free parking on site' was include and shown on the booking details. We would not have booked this accommodation if secure parking had not been available.
- Ondřej (10/5): V srdci krásného anglického venkova - Čistý a pěkně zařízený dům. Rázná, ale velmi pohostinná a milá paní majitelka. Nic nám nechybělo.
- Daniel (8/5): Beautiful guesthouse with stunning views, in a prime Cotswolds location & helpful staff - The property and land was exceptional, beautiful guesthouse just like the Cotswolds in general tbh, the host was brilliant and helpful, beds are comfortable, and great location I would say the only 2 negatives are that it could have been a tad cleaner, mainly in the bathroom and the few spiders, and the shower wasn’t great, I think it needs a new shower head…
- Melhuish (8/5): We had a very pleasant overnight stay. - Accomodation close to nearby Cotswold towns, rural area so peaceful and quiet. Bed comfortable, lovely hot water for bath. Friendly host and delicious cooked breakfast. Our room was upstairs which was fine for us and there were downstairs rooms as well if preferred.
- Avinash Kumar (10/5): - Amanda is a wonderful host — her place truly feels like a real vacation getaway. And Molly, her adorable dog, makes the stay even more special!
- Nicholas (4/5): Obviously the Host was overwhelmed especially during the breakfast period - Location to Stow On The Wold The host Amanda was very strict with her expectations of the guests. And sometimes was a little rude towards me.
- bart (9/5): -
- Dani Brown (9/5): Cotswolds guesthouse delight - Amanda is a lovely host and runs a great guesthouse. My room was so pretty and the location is rural enough to be quiet but close to Stow-on-the-Wold and other Cotswolds villages. Highly recommended.
- Emma (10/5): -
- Ali (9/5): - Countryside atmosphere.
- Michelle Cristina (10/5): -
- Hilary (8/5): -
- George (8/5): Enjoyable and comfortable stay in lovely setting, but limited facilities within walking distance. - Comfortable bed and good view from window. Excellent drinks and biscuits provided.
Friendly owner who took genuine interest in wellbeing of guests, and really good breakfast with lots of choice. Very limited parking so cars had to be 'jig sawed' into precise positions. Never knew if there would be a space available if returning late.
Other than dining room and entrance lobby no public rooms for guests.
- Federica (9/5): -
- Kathy (9/5): Delightful Cotswold guest house - Personal attention, help with reservations, great, quiet location. Wonderful, bountiful breakfast. Locks and keys that easily work! Touch up paint on chipped furniture. No
- Katrina (10/5): - Loved everything Parking was a little tight.
- Simone (10/5): -
- Andrew (7/5): Lovely guest house with the all uk has to offer with great welcome and warm weather - Good location near stow on the wold but quiet in the night with no disturbances
Host Amanda very kind and engaging personality with Molly her little dog
Room clean and comfortable.
Breakfast a real treat. Food cooked well and delivered quickly. Big bonus apart from small separate table, one large table where all guests engaged in their travels and experience of local sites. Better than any travel brochure. Parking good but when busy a little tight but I experienced no problems

- Liv (10/5): Home from Home - Absolutely everything was perfect. Spotless, comfortable, warm, and the charm of the cotswolds just by looking out your window. Amanda is just the hostess with the mostess and we can't wait to come back.
5 min drive into Stow on the Wold, a large Tesco for any supplies you need 5 mins away. Amanda has put together a list of great restaurants for you to choose from, which we did!
