- Paul (10/5): Just the right size with all the amenities we needed! - The wood stove (secondary heat) was ready to go, all we had to do was strike the match!
- Christophe (10/5): - On est comme a la maison !

- Deirdre (10/5): Beautiful, cosy hideaway - The cottage was absolutely beautiful and the antiques dotted around the place were so lovely. Thomas and Rita couldn't have been more helpful. Always on hand to make sure you were ok. One of the best places I have ever stayed at. Would highly recommend
Also the bed was so comfortable, had amazing sleeps while we were there! Nothing
- Matías (10/5): Beautiful cabin and a perfect place to disconnect - The cabin was very nice. Tomas and Rita treated us very well.
The place is perfect if you are looking for peace and want to get away from the noise of the city.
The facilities worked well and the place seemed clean.
The nights are a spectacular display of stars (if the sky is clear). ✨ constructive comment…
What I’m about to say isn’t specific to this cabin; it’s something we’ve noticed happening all over the world. My wife and I often stay in cabins around the world. Years ago, it was common to have breakfasts with local products included. Over time, that has mostly disappeared. The reason is the increase in costs globally, which is understandable, but it would be wonderful if one day it came back, waking up and finding a breakfast box at the door.
That said, the cabin and the place itself are very beautiful and definitely recommended.

- Priscilla (8/5): Beautiful cottages with pure mile views - Lovely quiet area. Had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Could do with extra bedding. Cottage was absolutely baltic when we arrived. Very little timber provided for the fire. We had to buy logs in the shop to heat the sitting room. Once it was heated up it was fine and cosy though.

- Alice (10/5): Cosy cottage - Lovely cottage with nice outdoor space, perfect for our dog. Cosy cottage with wood burning stove with plenty of logs provided. The kitchen had everything we needed and the bed was very comfy.
Lovely walks nearby. Within easy reach of the coast and also the Wicklow mountains. Great farm shop 10 minutes down the road nearby to the old railways and woodland walk. Wasn't a problem at all for us, but useful to know that the bathroom is downstairs. It's also worth knowing the ceiling at the top of the stairs is slanted and so very low on one side, which is a perfect quirk in a renovated cottage and anyone who has stayed in old rural cottages before will welcome this bit of character!
- Cyle (10/5): As close to White O'Morn as you will get in the modern world. - The Ireland in my head was probably always rural Ireland. Kilquiggen checked that box and the cottage simply gave me the peace and rural simplicity that I needed.
I've spent 10 days in Ireland with the most versatile experience I could have and kilquiggen cottages was, without a doubt, my favorite. Plenty of food nearby, good driving distance for day trips and still the seclusion you dream of.
- Cathy (9/5): Lovely cosy cottage, shame about hunting season - Cottage was lovely, cosy, we loved the living area and fire. We booked to stay in Kilquiggan Cottages to escape the noisy fireworks in Dublin. Unfortunately, November 1st is the start of hunting season in Wicklow and we could not walk the dogs the following day due to this.
- Dmorhato (9/5): Very beautiful and calm place - The house was perfect, very beautiful and the place is awesome. The house is made in stone and wood and it's very nice and calm. The place is perfect for rest and visit Wicklow Park. The owner is very nice and he offered information about the park and places to visit The beds are quite old... Maybe it's time to restore them...
- Sheena (10/5): - Very cosy cottage for a short trip away with our daughters and dog. Great value.
- Gina (10/5): - Cottage is stunning with exposed stone walls and wood burning fire. Remarkably warm too as radiators heat up really quickly. Excellent size kitchen and bedrooms are beautifully laid out under the eaves making the most of the light.
Location is perfect too, old graveyard opposite is well worth a visit as are Huntington Castle, Altamont House and Ducketts Grove.
Our hosts were excellent even allowing access one early and also rescuing my engagement and wedding rings which I mistakenly left behind.
Would highly recommend this stunning cottage. Nothing at all

- Emily (8/5): We were delighted to stay here, and I'd love to take my family when they come to visit. - The location was perfect! It was a lovely, quiet area tuck away in the countryside. The host was quite welcoming and gave suggestions for local places to explore. The cottages were cozy and perfect for the group of us ladies that were on a short holiday. I knew before I booked that the place was pet friendly, but the couches and blankets did gross us out a bit. The floors seemed a little dirty. However, none of that ruined our enjoyment of the cottages.
- Kevin (10/5): - Just lovely place to stay it was perfect
- Adrian (9/5): Very pleasant stay for all the family - N/A Nothing worth mentioning
- Jennifer (5/5): Disappointing - The location is quiet and peaceful but perfect for the mountains and a short drive from a lovely town. Nice garden to sit out in and the kitchen was well equipped. Main bedroom large and bed comfy if a touch creaky. Nice to have a washing machine. Poor communication from hosts - we had to ask for info re checking in unlike all of our other stays this trip. While there, new guests turned up next door and had the same issue with no info on how to get in to the sister cottage. We provided the contact info for hosts. The photos are very well staged but there were no blankets, cushions, rug or coffee table. Had the images been more true I would not have wanted to pay what we did for our stay. The bathroom was filthy - the shower was very dated and the grout and tiling brown with grime. There were spiders and webs everywhere - it was clear it had not been thoroughly cleaned recently. We had no hot water - at first we did but it ran out and we had someone come to look who told us there was a boiler fault and to wait for the host who came that evening. He indicated it wasn't a fault but a switch left off but after he went we still had no hot water. He was lovely but we were glad to be leaving the next day. If you have mobility issues this is not the property for you - the stairs are slippery open wood, the bathroom is downstairs and the bedrooms are in the eaves so you have to duck to get in them. Bed 2 was not comfortable and it was a small room with a very creaky bed.

- Dara (3/5): Cloch Cottage: Great potential, but a disappointing stay due to lack of cleanliness. - Cloch Cottage has got so much potential. The location is scenic and remote yet within an easy drive to a wonderful facility for children called Rathwood and a busy town, where every amenity is available to you, called Tullow. There is a nice 4 star hotel called Mount Wolsley for those of you who might like a round of golf or a treat. Having arrived very late to the property, we realised that there was no milk and enquired of our hosts as to where the nearest shop would be and whether it was open. Within a few minutes, Thomas, our host, came over with a litre of milk. He was very nice, friendly and gave me some helpful pointers as to what was in the vicinity. He also showed us how to put the heating on and hot water immersion. We really appreciated that.
There was a helpful welcome book with lots of very useful and helpful information to make one's stay enjoyable. Unfortunately, despite its potential, Cloch Cottage was very dirty on our arrival, and even after we flagged it our host, who apparently cleaned it, it it wasn't much better. As I said to Rita, the whole cottage needed a deep clean and although we stayed out the whole next day with our child till late to allow to rectify the many cleaning issues I had flagged, it was not nearly to the standard expected.
The floors were particularly filthy; they had neither been hoovered nor washed for our arrival. Cleanliness is the most basic expectation we have of a self-catering property, so this was really upsetting, given the price these hosts are charging. My husband, who has a dust allergy, was sneezing non-stop.
The kitchen counter had food particles on it (the surface clearly had not been cleaned) and none of the handles or exterior of the presses/cupboards or microwave looked like they had been cleaned in quite some time either. When I opened the fridge, I noticed food particles again on a few of the shelves after we had flagged the house needed a deep clean.
The bathroom taps and stopper were not shining as they would have been, had they been cleaned, but this was addressed after I flagged it with Rita. However, we noticed someone else's long dark hairs on the shower fittings and floor after Rita's cleaning. I really did not appreciate having to flag it at all and later being asked to be specific as to how the cottage was unclean. As someone who worked in tourism myself, I find this most upsetting-the lack of care. Initially Rita's response to my message was that she was 'horrified' and that she might try to move us to another cottage, but this never happened.
- Alan (9/5): Lovely rural cottage in beautiful Wicklow - Nice rural cottage in the heart of Wicklow. Has been well restored and adapted into a comfortable two bedroom es home. Owner very friendly and helpful. Excellent outside space which our old dog loved! Stairwell a bit low in places for those over 6 foot! Bathroom downstairs but it’s a very nice bathroom
- Sylvie (10/5): - Le cottage très bien situé, bien équipé, décoré, cosy !
- Carol (8/5): Pleasant but difficult to find - Pretty little quiet place Not really suitable for elderly or immobility Very rustic
- Theresa (10/5): - All the comforts of home. Nothing.
- Jennifer (10/5): - The cottage is absolutely gorgeous. Thomas was lovely and checked in on us several times to make sure everything was ok. He also went over and above and helped us reconnect with family we didn't know we had! Such a special trip Nothing, the cottage was wonderful and the wee street was utterly adorable.
- Anna (8/5): Very good - Beautiful cottage in a quiet area of Wicklow, very nicely decorated and well equipped. Damp smell downstairs
- Queally (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rosalie (8/5): Overall a lovely stay in a beautiful area of Ireland - It was very cosy and quiant, beds comfortable and bathroom functional. The kitchen, in particular, was not clean. The oven needs a good cleaning and shelves etc a good wipe. Lounge area also needs some dusting and tidying. Also a good idea to warn people about the steep staircase - especially for older people who might need the bathroom at night, seeing as it is downstairs and bedrooms upstairs.
- Cornelis (9/5): Great, peaceful place as a base to discover the area. - Great service, very flexible regarding arrival time, quiet and beautiful surroundings
- Ciaran (10/5): Lovely quaint cottage in Wicklow hills - Fab location, very well set up, had all the items we needed.
Comfy beds
Very happy
- Ann (7/5): Good - The most comfortable bed we have slept in. Cottage has everything you need for self catering and outside furniture in your own private back garden. Very traditional and provided what we needed as a base on our travels. This property could be amazing with a little more attention to detail. There were cobwebs galore and for those with mobility issues you need to be aware of very steep stairs to the bedrooms. The potential of this property is great but unfortunately we wouldn't return as we have stayed in far superior places for the same and/ or less money.
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kate (10/5): Our stay was short and sweet and we will stay again in the summer - Everything was great. The house was lovely with everything you would need. Like a home from home. There was nothing we didn’t like.
- Shane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Claire (9/5): Superb - The cottage was very clean and comfortable. There was lots of wood for the fire and a bonus our dogs could come too. You will need a car to get around.
- Selina (9/5): Cute little cottage - The cottages are gorgeous, the fire was amazing to have The radiators upstairs weren't very warm so we were a little bit cold in bed
- Fiona (5/5): Passable - The cottage was nice and beds were comfortable Wasn't very clean, kitchen dishes and equipment were inadequate, chipped cups and mismatched cutlery.
- Valerie (10/5): Cosy cottage, home from home, location excellent - Beautiful cosy cottage, nicely decorated and really comfortable. Nice to be able to bring the dog, with a secure garden at the back. Nothing
- Justin (9/5): Exactly what we had hoped! - Such a lovely cottage set in a beautiful location. Thomas and Rita had obviously put a lot of thought and effort into to the refurbishment. Fully fitted kitchen, lovely lounge area, and the stone work of the house gave it an authentic country feel. It was ideal for our stay. Thomas came to welcome us and to make sure we had settled in ok - plus gave us a few ideas in terms of things to do and places to go! We would all go back if we can!
- Jonathan (10/5): Hope to be back some day… - Characterful property. Immediately felt at home.
- Sheila (7/5): A good base to explore Wicklow. - Quircky setting, very peaceful. Hot water was dangerously hot especially for children
- Christopher (7/5): Good - It's a character cottage with newish kitchen including a fridge freezer. The beds are pretty comfortable. The lounge area is comfortable. It has a useful space outside at the back to enjoy coffee at a table. There is adequate parking space in the road for at least two cars. I had difficulty getting into the property because of trouble with the lock box. I had difficulty operating the hot water system as the instructions were not entirely clear. It should be noted that the bathroom is downstairs while the bedrooms are upstairs. It is very difficult to read a book or do sewing in the lounge as the overhead lighting is poor.
- Grace (9/5): Perfect little cottage on a peaceful and quiet road. Safe garden area for the kids to play. Such a relaxing stay and kud - Cosy, quaint and beautiful. Cottage was immaculate and very well kept. Was the perfect getaway. Nothing
- Danielle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mary (9/5): Very enjoyable - It was perfect for our needs There wasn’t a sofa bed are mentioned on booking.com. But we were informed of this when I inquired about it
- Lindsay (10/5): Weather was terrible, accommodations were perfect. Loved this place, especially the stove fireplace! - Comfy beds. Wonderful stove fireplace. Beautiful surroundings. Well-stocked kitchen. Excellent hosts. Location is far from most amenities
- Erin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (9/5): Beautifully restored house - Lovely interior, nicely laid out . Nothing really
- Florence (9/5): Peace and quiet. We just wanted a restful few days and we got it. - Loved the cottage. Very pretty. Hard to find start of walks. We found it a bit difficult to find the start of walks with our dogs.
- Drazg (8/5): Very good - Peace and quiet, pet friendly -
- Theresa (9/5): Superb -
- Margyhen (10/5): Cute cottage in a peaceful location - Patrick was so friendly and helped us with where to go and what to see. Nothing
- Shauna (10/5): Was a stunning wee stay loved the cottage and scenery - The cosy nature of the cottage and the character of it Absolutely nothing
- Ashling (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisa (10/5): Awesome place to stay!! Loved the wood burning stove!!! - Very clean and great location. Owners were very nice! Nothing
- Seoidin (10/5): Exceptional - Beautifully restored cottages in immaculate condition. Really enjoyed our weekend there while visiting Santa at Rathwood. We hope to return!
- Mirjana (10/5): Hidden gem - Beautiful, cozy and warm cottage in quiet village. Very clean and well equipped. Perfect for any occasion, from romantic getaway to weekend with friends. Nothing I could point out.
- Brad (10/5): Exceptional - Great ovetall facilities. Would certainly see about staying on a future visit! The Dying Cow is a must! The only thing not liked was that there was nothing not to like!
- Jayne (8/5): Cottage is in a lovely location with all the amenities for a perfect stay - The cottage was in a lovely location for exploring the local area. From the pictures we thought we had twin beds but managed fine for our stay.
- Bruna (9/5): Cosy stay: rustic feel with modern perks - It was self check-in, very handy. Thomas and Rita are great hosts, but we didn't really need to ask them many questions as they left a nice booklet with house instructions. Kitchen has all the things you need for a short stay: toaster, kettle, hob, oven, microwave, fridge and freezer, glassware, cutlery, salt/pepper/sugar/instant coffee/tea. The bed was very comfy, bedding was clean and fresh, and it was very quiet to sleep (my husband is a light sleeper and he had no issues sleeping the whole night). The bath towels were fluffy and the shower had good pressure and was electric, so hot water on demand. The living room was very cosy to stay in with a nice cuppa and have a chat or read a book. The wifi was good and the smart tv gives you options of mainstream tv and streaming apps to watch. Location was good for the peace and quiet you get, while not being too far from nice walks/hikes and villages with amenities. I would certainly recommend it! It was a great stay, but if I had to nitpick, it would be nice to have more hooks on the walls, especially near the entry doors and bathroom. To be clear, there are hooks, but we could have done with more of them.
- Peter (9/5): Pleasant and good value -
- Patricia (8/5): Wonderful cottage in the - The place was very authentic to the history of the area and we loved the ambiance. As well, our host gave us some good tips for places to visit and was very friendly and accommodating. We loved everything about the place. It was exactly what we think b
- Alexander (9/5): great cottage in Irish countryside - great little cottage, very clean with comfortable beds. the shower is a bit temperamental
- Сергей (8/5): It was a great memorable, pleasant stay. Great experience! - We really loved the house and rooms with authentic interior. It was a pleasant experience to live in old but renovated house. Kitchen is great - we enjoyed cooking there.
It was easy and comfortable to get keys from the box. Sure it's worth to stay here! On of the quirks: in one of the rooms - there is some facility hidden in wall to provide water to the house and it is a bit loud.
Also seemed that inside drawers there some dust.
- Kylie (8/5): Very good -
- Keyes (9/5): Superb -
