Tracie (10/5): Truly relaxing and beautiful location and spotlessly clean. - The property is set in a peaceful, tranquil location, with beautiful views and gardens. Our apartment was light, bright and airy and was spotlessly clean throughout with everything you need. Ian and his team do a wonderful job and are very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend and we would love to return.

Stephanie (9/5): Haven from busy lifestyle - The bed was really comfortable. Hard to get up each morning,! Gorgeous views from every window. Beautiful sunsets. The apartment we stayed is was very clean, well decorated and had nice little touches here and there. Very well equipped for everything you might need.. Hearing people in the apartment above. They didn't have any wild parties or anything but you could definitely hear each footstep. This made us mindful to keep our noise to a minimum.

Cerys (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was amazing, location, apartment etc. we couldn’t have picked a better place to stay! the staff were lovely and friendly; the apartment was clean to an amazing standard, the decor was modern-light and airy. I’d highly recommend to anyone! Everything was perfect!!!
Stephanie (9/5): Superb - The accommodation was perfect; plenty of room, nicely decorated, modern, clean and tidy. We stayed at The Retreat during storm Darragh which brought a red weather warning for strong winds and heavy rain. The warnings were right! Although it was terrible outside, we felt warm and safe inside. Unfortunately there were a couple of power cuts (which affected much of North Devon) but not much of an issue as we snuggled up with the cozy blankets/duvets and played games. We also had a gas hob so we could still cook and boil water. The manager had very wisely asked his staff to stay home to keep safe during the storm. He single handedly coped with everything. Nothing was too much trouble. We'll be back again soon. It was all great. The only minor gripe would be the single track lane to the property; in places it's got a few deep pot holes which were difficult to maneuver around on our first arrival in the dark.. However, this became rather fun in daylight and we giggled as we were bumping over them.
