Guest Reviews
- Jennifer Corbett (7/5): Needs work but got by - The location was fantastic I know its ground floor but it woul have been handy to know there were steps up to the door as we had pram and bags. Would have liked welcome pack to know about heating controls. The flooring needs sorting as unfinished areas cause my granddaughters feet in areas going from room to room. The sofa a bit of a nightmare seat cushions never stayed in place constantly having to keep pushing them in when sitting and getting up. Lamp in one of the rooms had no bulb and chairs in kitchen a bit unstable legs need looking at therefore we cld not use the table properly to sit at.

- Carr (10/5): Our stay was very nice and comfortable - The beds were very comfy, good location and we were left croissants, juice and milk! Very easy accessible and the place was clean enough, some prior damages/cracks but nothing too bad! Not a huge deal but we were told to pay a £150 deposit for damages on the day that we were to be staying at the property and have yet to receive this back. Could have been better with prior notice of this.

- mackenzie (10/5): - Area but many issues and landlord didn't respond to any texts about issues so not happy Lack of contact and issues in the flat
- rasd (7/5): - Very central location
- Rhonda (9/5): Enjoyable stay and would definitely book again. - Central location with parking as a bonus. A short walk up to Union Street. Lovely park across the road. Beds were very comfortable. Hosts left milk and fresh orange along with items for a continental breakfast which was a lovely addition. I struggled with the shower temperature. Couldn’t get it to suitable temperature as the water seemed to be very hot.
- Ann (8/5): - Very spacious & comfortable
- Norma (5/5): - Beds fresh and clean Windows drafty and cold. Beds not comfortable. Decor tired.
- Elena (8/5): - El agua y la calefacción funciona mucho Había una toalla sucia dentro de un armario.
- Ross (4/5): - Location wasn’t bad and apartment has potential Door handles fallen off. All the wardrobes were broken. Sink was broken. Dusty and dirty in some places. Never supplied bedding for the pull out bed had to get our own
- Panda (4/5): Disappointing and lacklustre, which was completely different to our previous stay. - Clean bedding and towels, WiFi access. Good stop gap for travelling. We had stayed here earlier in July, so knew about a few of the less than ideal things, but knew what to expect. Or so I thought.
There was no milk or jam this time. And one small kids carton of juice. No cereal. No cookies nothing. I was really surprised.
There was no washing up liquid so unfortunately I couldn’t wash anything up either.
Living room window still didn’t close, and overall was fairly disappointed. But again we’d been travelling all day and got into Aberdeen at 8pm so at that point we were too tired to care and again left at 9am to go check into the ferry to head back to Shetland.
However, after this second stay, I wouldn’t rebook again, which is ashame because it’s fairly good value and we were prepared for the need to lift our disabled traveller in, and take a while doing it - so we would have probably booked it for a weekend in Aberdeen later in the year/next year. However this time was fairly disappointing and didn’t reflect the higher standards I’d expected from the first stay, which is a crying shame really.
Not sure if owner was aware or if the cleaners/those doing set up just couldn’t be bothered, but there was sticky stuff on the table, and just overall felt like someone had just changed the linen and towels and nothing more.
- Panda (7/5): Good value, old space, not accessible but overall good stopgap. - This was the first time I stayed here and it was fairly lovely. We were using it as a stop between the ferry and train as travelling from Shetland and then onto York the following day. This being within a 20minute walk of the train station made it perfect.
Bedding and towels were clean, there was toilet roll, shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the bathroom & washing up liquid in the kitchen, with fresh sponges.
They put a carton of UHT milk in the fridge (which we didn’t use due to being lactose intolerant) there was butter and jam sachets and a carton of orange juice.
There was individual boxes of cereal and individual packed cookies for the “breakfast” the next morning.
Overall it was a good stopover, and fairly priced as there was 5 of us, 2 adults, 3 kids. And otherwise we’d have had to pay for 2 hotel rooms at double cost. The door lock is very convoluted and took us a while to figure it out. The property owner did talk us through it and eventually we got in, but I think it might have been a bit of user error too.
When I booked it, it said ground floor, and whilst that is correct, it is NOT wheelchair accessible as there is a step up, then 4 very steep steps to the front door.
It’s old building so there is some wear and tear in the foyer & the bathroom sink is broken and one of the handles to the front room kept falling off but we’d just put it back no problems, we also couldn’t figure out how to get the living room window to shut so the night was quite cold. We didn’t bother trying to pull out the sofa bed because we didn’t know how, and didn’t want to break it.
Check in being 3pm made things quite stressful and they did say if we paid an extra £30 cleaning fee we could get in earlier but when I responded to go ahead with it there was no reply so we’re stuck in Aberdeen city from 7.30am-3pm on a Sunday, but that’s more my issue than the property.
One thing though, you hear all the outside noise the whole time and there was someone walking up and down the hall and stairs to the people above all night, and it was really annoying, so be warned everything echoes & I assume they could hear us too so we tried to keep all noise to a minimum as much as possible & checked out at 6am to go get the train.
- Pallavi (8/5): Very good -
- Emily (9/5): Would recommend to a friend and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay - Our host was very accommodating when we encountered a slight problem with the door.
The location of the poor Terry was amazing and the property was clean.

- Azhan (8/5): Enjoyable - They provide all the basic things for a short stay Parking can be a bit complicated
- Michele (7/5): Good -
- Kian (1/5): Bad - You have to pay a 150 pound safety deposit, but they didn’t give it to us back, I’ve messaged them on the app many times no reply, texted no reply and phoned no reply, don’t recommend
- Bohaik (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tereza (9/5): Superb -
- Kirsty (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely big apartment
Perfect location for what we needed
Got to check in early
Very clean
Extras in the fridge for us to use Nothing it was perfect 👌
- Sharon (10/5): Very confrontable , very clean!! Great location - Very clean Wish we were told how to work the heating and I would have preferred real milk not long life
- Hui (9/5): Good location - The rooms are big, bed is comfortable.
Breakfast is simple, cereal and milk, but good enough.
Location is good, walking distance to the train station and city center.
- Moira (8/5): Very good -
- Jainul (7/5): Good -
- Jerlin (8/5): Very good -
- Ruhamah (3/5): Poor - The view of the back garden is nice and there's a doggie-park to the front, which are both gentle on the eyes - apart from which this is in a pretty unattractive part of town. Booking.com mentions continental breakfast - Springbank understands this as mini boxes of cereal and store bought bread rolls! Dirty sofa bed (clearly not prepared). Cleaner still at work when we arrived to check in, and then left the floors still wet from mopping etc. Sudden request for the advance payment on the day of check in (we were travelling and found this quite challenging - the website clearly says bring cash, which we had done, but were asked to transfer online or refused entry just a couple of hours before check in - we could have easily done this in advance). Heating is not turned on when you arrive so you have to figure out the system. The WiFi did not work for us throughout our stay though some sort of password is provided.

- Li (10/5): Good and satisfied. - Big kitchen, comfortable dining room.
Good communication with the host by txt message.
Easy and close distance with the Aberdeen Station. The car park direction is not easy to find. It’s at the back of the terrace with T junction. Beware to find a correct route.
- Fiona (10/5): Fabulous, had the best time and comfortable stay. - A great central location for the city centre, 5 minutes walk to all of Aberdeen’s, restaurants, bars and shops, spacious and clean and the fact we were provided with continental breakfast was excellent. Even though you’re in the city centre, it was relaxing and quiet area. Nothing!
- Rachel (10/5): We were a group of 5 ladies staying from friday to monday for a pool tournament. The apartment was great, lovely big bed - Very spacious, everything we needed. Everything was fine, no complaints
