Guest Reviews
- lucy (7/5): Beautiful scenery in Western Gnats , excellent food but poor spa. - Very spacious villas There was no private outdoor areas so if you want to relax in private it is in your room only. The pool side recliners had no shade.
We both had a massage. NOT a good experience. Quite expensive for India and I don’t believe either masseuse was actually qualified. Don’t bother with the spa. We were not even given a glass of water afterwards.
- Natasha (8/5): - Stunning location. Beautiful rooms and excellent food The spa was not up to standard.
- Sowmya (9/5): -

- James (10/5): A Wonderfully Tranquil and Welcoming Retreat. - Beautiful resort. Attentive, friendly, and professional staff. The room was outstanding with incredible views (see picture). The bed was comfortable. Trips to the tea plantations were organised by the resort, as were transfers. We also had some great treatments. The food was really good. We thoroughly recommended the SpiceTree Rajakumari. Nothing
- Stefaan (10/5): Fabulous hotel, highly recommended - Great hotel with incredible service, great food and a dream location !
- Bernadette (9/5): Perfect stay! - We both loved our stay. Our room was so comfortable and the space was wonderful. Food was exceptional and we enjoyed the yoga. Would love to come again!

Amazing food
- Thomas (9/5): Sooperb Stay - Cordial Guest relations ,serene atmosphere, big rooms and toilets, enjoyed their yoga and meditation session.massage was superb, nature walk was assisted.overall service was excellent. For me everything was perfect ,my spouse missed watching tv.we faced some difficulty in the bedroom as sunlight was shining through the bay window.
- Rana (10/5): Amazingly relaxing and recuperative - Located among lush green farming lands of cardamom and black pepper, it’s a location which doesn’t show anywhere unless you google for it.
Staff especially shiju was amazing warm and hospitable. No stay is worth the money if food is not good, here it was a sheer culinary delight.
One hidden special facility was that of a naturopathy doctor who was extremely professional and helped to ease a lot of chronic pain. Dr Gloria Abraham was amazingly skilful with acupuncture Everything was great
- Chaitanya (9/5): Gorgeous property but service needs improvement. - Amazing property with fantastic rooms, very well constructed, well furnished and well designed. Extremely serene and fits in well with the surroundings. We did a plantation tour which was very good. We also did massages at the spa, all of which were great.
Food was great too. Service at the hotel was not the best. Mr Jaison who is the manager does not communicate clearly and comes across as disorganised. Some examples:
- A few weeks before our stay we were told there would be no need to pre book spa treatments, and that we could do so upon arrival. Ahead of our arrival I tried to make bookings through the manager but was told that availability was limited. We agreed a few timeslots but on arrival were told even those were not fully available. Eventually we managed to get appointments for all of us but it was a painful process.
- We stayed over NYE and were told that after dinner there would be a bonfire for the guests and some music. It turned out to be an extremely loud party which was mainly for the staff - we left well before midnight (as did the two other guests who showed up to the bonfire) and sat at reception, but the music was extremely loud and could be heard across the property. I have no objections to staff having a party on NYE, but they should (i) not have invited guests to the party; and (ii) kept the volume low, as one of the appeals of this place was that it was quiet and calm.
- V (9/5): Great - Stay was great. Friendly staffs and safe atmosphere.
Neatly maintained property .. very good privacy ..
- Smruthi (9/5): Superb - Everything about this place is magical. We had access to everything we needed at the retreat and the staff were always looking for ways to improve our stay. The place is a little secluded and so there is a lot of land to explore, you really feel like you're in one with nature. The restaurant food was good and the ayurvedic treatments were amazing. You do hear the sound of cicadas all the time, which is something you need to get used to.
- Reshma (10/5): Perfect for solo, couples and family stay - This place was a truly beautiful find. We had booked 2 rooms for me, my brother, Kurt partners and my mom. The rooms were fantastic - absolutely stunning and so so clean and right by the pool too!
We got up early in the morning to catch a gorgeous Munnar sunrise and had delicious breakfast with beautiful jam made with strawberries from their organic garden. All of the staff were more than accommodating and happy to help us out with all of our requests. We even took a nice tour through their spice gardens.
The only negative is that we didn’t get to stay longer as we were on a very short trip through Kerala.
But I highly recommend this quaint spot and we will definitely be coming back to try their spa packages! That we didn’t stay longer
