Guest Reviews
- Heather (5/5): I would stay again, but bring your earplugs unless you like the sounds of busses, cars & city. - clean, convent location to the sites we wanted to see
The apartment was cute with some home made art hanging on the walls. It had a washing machine, but we couldn’t get it to dry anything and since it was raining and overcast our whole visit the clothes we washed hung for 2 days (on a line we brought and stretched in the apartment) before they were dry. It had a provided Nespresso machine which was a nice touch with 2 pods / day, and I was able to purchase some more pods from a grocery store down the street really cheap which saved some money verses buying my 3-5 cups a day from the coffee store down the street. Noise from the street and business under us made it difficult to sleep. Apartment was hot but the noise outside made it impossible to sleep with the windows open.
We thought we were all paid up, but upon arrival we had to pay a 21 euro “tax” for the 2 of us on our 3 night stay.
Overall it was a nice little apartment, but the only thing I will remember from my visit here is NOISE. I desperately wanted to open the windows while I slept but the noise with them closed was so bad you couldn’t get a good nights sleep. This apartment overlooks a main side rode (it’s a one way street), and part of the regular bus route. There are trash dumpsters a block in either direction and a bar where people stand outside and yell at each other regularly. There is also another concrete building across the street and so noise just echo’s horribly. Rather it is the constant foot traffic with people taking loudly, the cars with loud stereos, the buses, noise never stops. I was hopeful after the 2am wake up call as the bar crowds cleared out every night that we would have some silence, but the gangster bass will wake you up several times until 6am when the residential traffic begins again. And by 7am the little bakery underneath is pounding and banging as they open shop. Even inside the house it is impossible to be quit, with all concrete walls the noise just echo’s so I can’t even walk around and pack up while my wife sleeps.
It was a clean apartment, and I’m sure the company that owns it is great… but it is just a horrible location for sleep and rest.
- Μαρία (10/5): The city was a pleasant surprise - It was downtown and very clean
- Rona (9/5): Would stay again and suggest to friends - Friendly helpful host. Great location and easy to find ones way around to shops, services and train station. Nothing
- András (10/5): Calm and comfortable stay in, would book it again - The location is excellent and safe, right in the heart of Brescia, in a calm street. The apartment is stylish with plenty of space and private. There is an even an elevator to the apartment which was mostly used by us. (There are only 2 floors in the house). The bed was comfortable and large.
Stefano is a very kind and generous host who accomodated all our requests regarding check-in and check out (which I really appreciate considering that our travel was not without issues.) The shower door could be renovated and since the bathroom is relatively old, the feeling of cleanliness could be improved there.
It is good to read in the description that there is no AC but fans. It is correct and generally okay however we had very hot summer days and we realized that it would be more comfortable with an AC.
Other than that everything was more than fine.
- Kassa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andreea (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was amazing, we had a late check in an Stefano waited for us. I highly recommend choosing this apartment. Everything was amazing.
- Fernanda (8/5): Centric, extremely clean, great value for your money - The apartment is located in the historic center. Very easy to access and paid parking is nearby. The host was very helpful and kind, he explained everything in detail. The apartment is very nice and I was surprised about the cleanliness - seriously, it's extremely clean and well maintained. The beds were super comfortable, the kitchen has everything you need to make your meals, and even salt, sugar, oil, vinegar, tea, etc. Everything worked fine, no issues, everything is extremely well maintained. You can see they pay attention to all details. The host replies fast and he is very helpful. I cannot complain. Everything is extremely clean, you have everything you need and the host was helpful. Maybe the only thing that could be better is the shower. It worked perfectly fine, hot water, the drain worked perfectly, and all (they even gave us tiny shower gel bottles, which I really appreciate), but I think it needs remodeling. You can see the shower is older and in need of refreshing, so maybe that could be something to think about for the future: a shower remodeling or at least changing the shower doors. But everything worked perfectly fine.
