Guest Reviews
- coleman (6/5): This is not suitable with dogs - Comfy bed reasonable layout and fairly equipped. Cool stone cottage in a heatwave. Good bath with plenty hot water.
Great scenery and location. Dangerous parking i realise out of owners control but hazardous with elderly or reduced mobility.
Microwave unthafomable..never did work it out. No bin liners table lights not working. Tired decor plastic plants and cobwebs
This is not suitable for dogs..insecure yard as 6inch gap under gate my terrier would've been hit by a car in seconds had to keep on leads in yard even for pee breaks..it's with lethal narrow road. Also meant couldn't leave back door open on hottest day of year.
I cancelled a previous booking and lost all my money as advertised dogfriendly small yard turned out to be a 2yard seat outside on shared path.!
- Paul (7/5): Good -
- Emma (8/5): Very good - Lovely cottage, hosts were fabulous would recommend this little gem of a cottage.
- Richard (9/5): A little gem.... - This is quite a little gem of a place to stay. Exceedingly clean and comfortable....and great views across Matlock. All facilities were a great addition to this place....we didn't want for anything. Would recommend and would book again.
- David (9/5): Brilliant location - Excellent Nothing
- Chris (9/5): Cosy cottage - ideal for a short break. - Beautiful location, facilities were great and hosts were very welcoming. This is an ideal location for exploring Matlock Bath, Matlock and the surrounding area. The cobwebs, otherwise it was perfect.
- Alex (9/5): Lovely cosy cottage - Julie had put up the Christmas decs and light which was a lovely warm welcome. The house was lovely and clean, and had everything we needed to cook. There was a starter kit to get the log burner going. Location was a little further than I realised for walking into Matlock (as we didn't want to use the car to nip to the shop person choice!), but was great as a starting point to walk down to Matlock Bath cross country and up to High Tor. There is a lovely pub next door for a few drinks (not food).
Very comfy bed! Thanks!
- Paul (9/5): Superb -
- Adam (10/5): the best weekend cottage. - we loved everything about this property. it's so comfortable, cosy. the decor and facilities are amazing. there is nothing that I didn't like about this property.
- Tracey (10/5): Would highly recommend - Wonderful, cosy cottage with everything you need to get away.
- Mark (8/5): Lovely stay in pretty location - Great, comfy place, really homely and in a good location for exploring the local area - walked in to Matlock Bath and Matlock. Cute outdoor seating though the weather didn't allow us to use it (the next door property have access through, so just be aware it doesn't feel particularly private). There's nothing not to like, though tall guests beware of the low doors etc!
- Steven (8/5): Enjoyed our stay but found the road outside noisy when we slept with the windows open - Very cosy, clean and comfortable with lovely views Located on a quite noisy road
- Paul (8/5): I would stay there again without hesitation. - A great place to stay. fantastic views which I don't think they said enough about in the write up. All you could need in equipment in the house. Great powerful shower. A visitors book to see interesting places others had found locally for eating etc.
The local pub does not do food. Which is a real shame, although clearly out of the owners hands.
- Jen_long (9/5): Fabulous stay in Matlock - The location was brilliant and the cottage was really well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The bed was super comfy and we felt really relaxed. It was an easy 10 minute walk downhill into Matlock Bath so ideal if you don't want to go out in the car all the time. In terms of location, the cottage is right on the road side so there was a bit of traffic noise. It didn't affect the quality of my stay but I was woken early Saturday by a cattle truck that made the whole house shake. I appreciate this is out of everyone's control so it's not a complaint. I was just grateful I had my earplugs.
- Kay (8/5): Very comfortable stay. Added bonus having Netflix - Good quality furnishings, a nice distance from towns, comfortable bed, very well equipped It’s a small cottage so you know what your getting & worth the money
- Anita (10/5): Excellent stay - The location was good
- Durrant (9/5): Superb - A nice cosy, comfortable cottage with amazing views The court yard is shared with another property, and they had washing out for the whole weekend we were there.
The parking space is tight on a busy road. Reccomend you but you wing mirror in.
- Alex (10/5): Exceptional - Picture perfect , Very clean and very comfortable ! I would highly recommend. Going home
- Joyce (10/5): Exceptional -
- Samantha (10/5): Fabulous stay will definitely book again - Lovely little property
- Beverley (9/5): A comfortable stay in a lovely cottage with great views. - It’s comfortable and cosy. It had everything we needed. The location was great. A lovely walk down the hill took us to Matlock Bath with lots more to see and do. Other quaint villages were just a short drive away. Nothing
- Carole (10/5): Exceptional - The cottage is beautiful and its spotlessly clean. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again.
