Guest Reviews
- Shannon (10/5): Property was beautiful and the staff were very helpful - The property was very pretty and very clean (great views). The staff was also very helpful and gave us places to see and visit. WiFi worked well and the kitchen for breakfast was a bonus :) Overall great experience would stay again. Not enough towels for a long stay
- Iva (10/5): Bellissimo - Staying here was truly a nice experience. Everithing was clean, cozy and full of thoughtful little details that immediately made me feel at home. The location is perfect for exploring Naples, while at the same time being a small oasis of peace on the fourth floor, with a beautifull garden terrace- perfect for relaxing after a day in the city. Warm and helpfull wellcome, Raffaele gave such a great intro to Naples, with many helpful tips and insights, and all other staff that I meet were also super friendly and helpfull. I would recomend it to anyone looking for authentic and cozy stay in Naples.
- Nelli (9/5): Ich würde immer wieder hier buchen. -
- Andreas (7/5): -
- Silvia (8/5): - Ottima posizione e personale super disponibile e gentile.
- Valentina (10/5): -
- Giovanna (9/5): An authentic stay in Napoli city center :) - Lovely apartment near the city center. I was abble to enjoy a lot by foot. The room was quiet, clean and lovely decorated, with a view from the city. The staff were super friendly and helpful - Gloria welcomed me to the accommodation and she was super friendly (and fluent in 4 languages, including my native language - portuguese!). The lady in charge of cleaning was also extremely helpful and friendly. I had a lovely stay in the heart of Napoli! Not directly related to the apartment, but good to know that you need to have a 20 cent coin in order to use the building elevator.

- Jake (10/5): Lovely stay, will definetly be staying again! - Very clean and practical nothing
- Aida (9/5): Great location, could walk anywhere we didn’t even use metro once! Lovely restaurants and cafés in the neighborhood. The -
- Mónika (10/5): Naples star tour - Good location, clean and comfortable accomodation, beautiful interior. The host is very kind and helpful. We would stay here again next time. There was nothing negative
- Nicole (10/5): Een oase in Rione Sanita!
- Khoperia (9/5): Superb -
- Tjaša (1/5): Bad - My money was stolen from the room (100 euros) which was locked. After I told them they said they talked to owner and cleaning lady but than just blocked me. I couldn't do anything, they would ignore me completly and acctually blocked me everywhere (even booking, but I contact them and fix this). The attitude was really mean, I even got scared and this situation honestly ruined my vacation. I felt powerless and frustrated and had nothing to do about it.
Anyway, appartment is not clean and nothing special, you need to pay the elevator. In my case none of this is important, I just need to feel safe and be able to leave the things in locked room when I travel. This was the worst experience I ever had traveling.
I saw they commented my rewiev but since it is impossible to leave the comment I will reply here.
The answer is a complet lie. I didn't even know about luxery room until now. The made up a fake story so I think this is another level of crazy attitude. I truly don't recomend anything with these people. I belive that as a turist you would just like to have some calm vacation in a safe location, so I recomend to just keep away from them.
- Anne (8/5): Very good -
- Juraj (9/5): Superb - Nice terrace. Clean. poorly positioned air conditioning. hard pillows
- Tzanikos (10/5): Exceptional - Center located room, the view from the room as well as from the rooftop terrace was fantastic! Well organize kitchen for make the breakfast and you coffees, the plants on terrace is a reason to stay in this wonderful rooms! You can understand that is decorate and malintent with love!!I recommended with close eyes!
- Sirjan (10/5): Perfect - Beautiful apartment, very clean, lovely location with very nice views, brilliant host with very quick replies and an overall great stay! Nothing at all, it was perfect
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dominikk (8/5): Very good - Beautiful apartment in a perfect location with a large cosy terrace. The bathroom was a bit dirty, it could use a deeper cleaning from time to time. And what was really uncomfortable was the elevator requiring 20 cents payment to operate - for us, from a country not paying in euro and using card payments everywhere, this was like no elevator at all and meant carrying our bags up and down 4th floor every day.
- Efe (10/5): Great location and comfy place overall - Very nice, comfy and friendly Shower head was really weird and it was hard to shower
- BencardsBites (10/5): An oasis of calm in the glorious chaos of Naples - Cerasiello was idyllic. Like almost everything in Naples, its rough exterior belies what you’ll find inside. You enter through a tiny door in battered, ancient gates set in a massive, near featureless building that takes up a whole city block. You find yourself in a courtyard, sky visible four very tall stories above.
It’s all a bit dingy and the first thing you’ll notice is the rather ugly lift dropped into the middle of the far side of the courtyard, looking like those temporary ones they erect on construction sites. As your eyes adjust to the half light, however, you’ll notice that all four stories of the wall behind the lift are dominated by a grand staircase, crumbling but still magnificent.
Before the neighbourhood went into decline ... from which it's now trending upwards ... it was full of grand palaces, and this was one of them. Once the heavy courtyard door shuts, the noise of the street disappears and the songbirds kept by residents overlooking the courtyard contribute a gentler soundtrack. Potted plants and hanging laundry jostle for space on windows, walls and landings.
Cerasiello is on the top floor. I was very glad of that lift, even though you need to feed it €.20 a ride. The property has four bedrooms, each with en-suite bathroom, surrounding a long sitting room, a small kitchen and a truly magnificent roof garden with a view of Vesuvius. We spent most of our time at home out here, surrounded by enormous potted plants that made it feel like a real oasis from the city.
The tasteful decor is a mash-up of traditional Italian with a bit of Sicilian and North African, giving the whole place a slightly exotic feel. The owners have taken great care with the lighting, including up lighters on the roof garden and small, stained glass table lamps inside to create atmospheric puddles of light throughout.
This was our annual girls' trip and we always look for a property with four bedrooms so we can each have our own space. This was ideal, and one of the best properties we've rented over the years. You can book individual rooms rather than renting the whole property; in which case the living room, kitchen and roof garden become shared space with other guests. If you only rented one room, ask for the one with french doors that open directly to the roof garden. The window in the bedroom looks towards Vesuvius, while the one in the bathroom looks over the roofs and church domes of Rione Sanità and up at Castel Sant’Elmo.
Cerasiello is on the very edge of Rione Sanità, only about 200 metres from the Via Foria that divides the neighbourhood from the historic centre. You’re only 10-15 minutes away from key sites like the archaeological museum, the Duomo, the cloisters at Santa Chiara and the street of the nativity scene makers. You’re also close to two different metro stations, though I confess that with four of us to split the cost we took taxis when we needed to go further than our feet would carry us.
Our roof garden and the feeling of being part of a local neighbourhood provided a welcome counterpoint to the noise and bustle of the city.
- Helmi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ling (6/5): Terrible bathroom - 1) The shower room is a disaster…… the water flow is small (as thin as a needle) very uncomfortable…… and the water would come out and the whole bathroom is like in a flood…
2) the room is in the 4th floor and you need 20 cent to use the lift every time…… so you need prepare coins (only 20 cent coin is accepted) if you wanna use it
- Federico (9/5): Superb -
- George (10/5): Nice apt in the old town - Nice room, clean, comfortable. Good AC .20 to ride an elevator to a 5th floor walk up is a little too much taxation
- Noureldeen (8/5): Very good -
- Bálint (10/5): Exceptional - The room was clean and comfortable. It was nice that to common areas were clean and very nice. Also the view was very nice from the room. The staff was nice and flexible.
- Roosbelinda (8/5): Very good - Very responsive host and excellent location!
Amazing terrace with views of the volcano:-)
- Ergin (10/5): Exceptional - Warm and helpful welcome, comfortable room and wonderful terrace. Quiet and clean guest house with equipped kitchen. Awesome place that hosted our 3 day holiday in Naples. -
- Mariana (9/5): Magical experience in Napoli - Great lodging option. Rafaelle is a very nice host and person who knows a lot about the city and can give great suggestions on where to go. The room is adorable, very well decorated and comfortable, with a good private bathroom and a great view. The rest of the house is shared, and also very lovely and well organized, with an incredible terrace, and full kitchen. The apartment is on the sixth floor of a traditional napolitan building, very authentic, right by the old part of the city and close to the subway. The only low point is that I was by myself, and walking around the premises at night seemed weary, but nothing happened. Napoli is pretty safe and this hotel is in a good neighborhood.
- Piotr (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful old or I would say ancient building, vast and spacy flat, huge room, beautifully designed, with beautiful terrace from where you could take a look at original life of neighborhood. Bathroom kept in retro style, nicely matching the other rooms.
- Khaled (8/5): Very good -
- Nadia (7/5): Good -
- Oxlorik (8/5): Very good - Very friendly welcome. House is close to historical center and other parts of the city. The owner was very nice and gave us tips how to enjoy Napoli to the fullest.
- Dulcie (8/5): Very good -
- 132themisp (10/5): Value for money - We stayed for 6 nights. Value for money.
Beautiful b&b in a nice location, next to metro. Stefania, our host was extremely helpful. The bathroom was great and the view from the room also. It has a shared big balcony perfect to drink our wine and eat a pizza we got from outside.
- Noam (10/5): perfect! - Clean, beautiful and very welcoming! our host Luigi was very kind and recommended very nice places to visit around the area
- Angeliki (9/5): Superb - Nice place to stay!
- Ryan8N (6/5): Not as Described but ok - Was described at two single beds but received a double bed instead.
It's a private room with private toilet. Shared kitchen though bit there was nothing wrong. Aircon is there so it's good. Walls are barely soundproof and you can hear your room mates.
Neighborhood is ok, nothing too scary.
- 422alexeyk (10/5): Southern Italy atmosphere - One step away from the historical center, where you can easily dive into atmosphere of Southern Italy. Small but cosy rooms of Moroccan design. There is also a wonderful terrace where you can have your meal and meet other guests. Every single piece of furniture picked with a great taste.
Absolutely recommend for a good quality-price ratio.
- BeatriceH561 (6/5): Mixed Bag... - We stayed here for six nights and our family for two nights. Big plus - the terrace is very beautiful with a great view of Vesuvius. Our Earth room was big and nicely furnished. We were greeted by a very nice young man. Not so ideal: being asked to pay up front in cash. The terrace is beautiful but there are no comfortable chairs for relaxing, believe me, we tried them all. The owner visited several times and never said a word to us, we thought at first she was a cleaner who spoke no English. Guests are allowed to smoke on the terrace which is quite annoying for non smokers trapped there with them. The breakfast is old tired sliced bread and cornflakes (not typical of Naples at all) and UHT milk, no fresh bread or fruit offered. Our request for non dairy milk to be in the fridge on arrival was refused. There was no effort to help us identify local restaurants or maps of the public transport in the apartment. The number given for taxis at the airport did not work. We were not helped with luggage on departure and not contacted during our visit to see if all was well except for when we alerted them about the wifi not working for two days. Wifi does not work in the Earth Room anyway. If you don't mind all of this, the location is fine with great local market - essential for buying your breakfast!! It's a shared apartment not a bed and breakfast.
- scholle0211 (8/5): Nice stay for a city trip - This B&B is very nice. It is clean and well located. It has 4 rooms, a well equipped kitchen and a beautiful terrace. Breakfast is not served (self service). The check-in was easy and the staff was very kind. The only "negative aspect" is that we had room service only twice in five days. I think that is not enough. The price is ok, not cheap but not too expensive. All in all I can recommend the B&B.
- orlandojwiles (10/5): A Perfect Oasis - Naples is the Bad Boy of Italy. It is energetic and bold. This beautiful B&B, with it's breathtaking views, is the perfect place to set up camp. A romantic terrace, that overlooks versuvius, is the ideal spot to plan your excursions, whether over a provided help yourself breakfast, or with a bottle of wine at dusk. The rooms are palatial and offer a much needed calm after the mayhem and exciting uproar of the streets below. Beautifully kept and easy to make home, this place is a short walk from everything you need. Will be coming back every time.

- leigh69_13 (8/5): A hidden oasis in a frenetic city - To check in to the Cerasiello requires a phone call first to ensure there is a staff member to let you in the gateway, a nondescript door in a maze of alleys, which only the taxi could find.
Once inside we were shown the lift which required a key and a 20c coin to proceed to the 4th floor, where this hidden gem awaited us.
Room 2 is on the small side but with large window, comfortable, ok pillows, only problem very dim light needed head torch to read at night.
Breakfast was do yourself with plentiful supplies available at all times.
In addition to the 4 ensuit bedrooms there is a fully pointed kitchen, large dining room/lounge and a lovely shaded deck with view of Mount Vesuvius.
Close to metro, groceries and cafes.
- BuffyPaulie (10/5): Oasis in Naples - Delightful B & B in a great location. This quaint B & B only has four rooms. Look for the room or ask for the room nearest the kitchen as it's the largest. Really well appointed throughout with a fantastic terrace. The terrace is the highlight as it is fantastic to sit out there after a day of sightseeing and enjoy a quiet beer or wine. Breakfast is provided but you prepare it yourself. It included cereal, eggs, bread and biscuits.
- ash8811 (10/5): Fantastic B&B and great staff - As with other reviews we arrived questioning our choice of location but after our short elevator ride the charm of the top floor accommodation takes over. Rooms are clean and a good size, breakfast is plentiful and although the location takes some getting used to it is great for exploring.
- TigrePraiano (10/5): Atmospheric and superb - I loved this apartment. Gorgeous details, lots of breakfast options, lovely views that enhance the whole experience of being in Naples and welcoming hosts. The location also places you near things but out of the touristic areas for an experience of the bustling & charming street life of Naples. The rooms are quiet and beautifully furnished.
- 330susanp (6/5): Interesting Location - Our first time visit to Naples was a little intimidating. But we are adventurous (and thankful for the guidance of our adult son) and managed to find its charm. The walk from the metro to our stay at the Cerasiello B & B reflected our Naples first impression. You will need a phone to contact the host (when you finally find your way) to let you in and orient you to the B & B. After stepping through the small door into a questionable compound and the trip in the elevator (which does require coins to operate)we felt like Alice in Wonderland. We were pleasantly surprised by our top floor accommodations. It is spacious and decorated nicely. We stayed in the larger room because there was three of us. It was large and spacious. Our son found the single bed unstable and uncomfortable. It was relatively clean but I was not convinced that the blanket and covers had been washed. We were the only guests so that added to our enjoyment. The gentleman who checked us in was very pleasant and helpful with suggestions of where to eat and find the things we were looking for. The kitchen is fully equipped for preparing breakfast and has some food supplies, bread, eggs, and cereal. I did not eat any of it because I had no idea of how long it had been sitting there, but we did make ourselves coffee every morning before heading out and we did purchase our own breakfast items. There are limits to the amount of cooking you can do, as per the request of the owners. We really enjoyed the large balcony/veranda even in February. I could imagine its charm in the summer months.
- angelaknoll63 (10/5): Maison de Charme - It's been a really nice bed and breakfast in central Napoli. The rooms were very nice and there was a relaxed atmosphere, especially the terrace is really beautiful. You have a fantastic view over the city Napoli. The breakfast is self-service that means you share the kitchen with the other visitors and take your breakfast and clean it up on your own. Staff from the B&B were very kind and helpful.
- McFil (10/5): Great choice - In the heart of the true Naples between local markets and churches, a special place to discover the city from the happy hustle of Rione Sanità. Decorated in a charming style, very quiet and relaxing. Possibility to leave your car safely in a partner garage. Fabulous balcony for breakfast and enjoy the sun.
- atys20152015 (10/5): Excellent place - The building looks as it will fall down, but this top apartment was a surprise. Well equipped, nice decorated rooms, wonderful terrace with a view of Vesuvius. At the arrival we were well informed about what to do in Naples by the owner. This is a place to return to.
- bennyatsun (10/5): Place to be for amazing & stylish stays in Napoli - We arrived in the historic centre of this vibrant city and finally found the most wonderful b&b for the last days. With so comfortable and yet stylish rooms the entire apartment presented an overwhelming enclave that just invites for recreation from the pulse of this city. The attention to detail of this ensemble - including plenty of non-touristy advices from staff (!) is purely great to experience. Check it out! For us a must and we'll come back for sure.
Many thanks to you guys!
Benny
- Trenschbull (10/5): Beautiful apartment in centro storico - This is my favorite place to stay in Naples. It is close to everything, has a wonderful terrace, well equipped kitchen and very nice dining room. In addition, it is a silent place to sleep just in the middle of bustling Naples. The architects renting out a few b&b´s in the old city of Naples is very well organized, it is always clean and tidy, and you are really taken good care of by the arrival. You will even be offered a "tariffa determinata" - taxi from where you arrive in Naples, which makes is a lot more easy to find your apartment and in a safe way. There will probably be other guests in the apartment, but so far I have only met very nice people, enthusiastic travelers who gladly share with you their good experiences. Highly recommended!
- 249hannaz (10/5): Fully to recommend - Close to the Centro Historico, clean, nice interieur, a wonderful terrace, independent breakfast times (with really good coffee to make on your own), friendly and helpful owner - that place makes the city of Naples even better.
- 981ruthb (10/5): A relaxing place to stay - A gritty location, once upstairs a wonderful place to relax. Only down side was a very limited/expensive tour of Naples by Lucca. (2 adults 2 small kids 3 hours /70 euros). Didn't go where promised, leaving us in a local trattoria. Not mentioned at the beginning,it included stop at a local church / catacombs (which we forced to pay 26 euros!) and 2 bowls pasta at a sub standard trattoria 25 euros.
- mbsmbsmbs (10/5): Cerasiello just keeps getting better - This was our third stay at Cerasiello, and sometimes I think that the terrace with the view of Vesuvius is my favorite place in Naples to be. This time I appreciated even more its proximity to the metro, which itself has added useful stops since our last visit, and the number of excellent trattorias within walking distance. Raffaele spent a long time with us when we arrived going over our plans, making suggestions, reserving taxis for us, and making us feel welcome. Several other people staying there were extremely happy with the guided walking tours he arranged for them in Naples itself. We still love the homemade preserves provided as part of the DIY breakfast. Cerasiello is a gem.
