- susan (10/5): - Peaceful and quiet holiday Village. The apartment was really clean and had everything we needed. Having the leisure pass was great as it gave us free access to the pool . The pub and restaurant on site were too expensive and in need of updating .
- Susan (10/5): A short stay at the bay with our furry freinds - a beautiful apartment very clean and smelled gorgeous! I'd love to know what they use around the apartment and the landing because I'd buy it.
we took our own bedding because we had 2 dogs. we also took throws to protect furniture. we left the property clean and tidy. I will be booking this apartment again for July xx 😘 the only thing we didn't like was the weather. it was freezing.
but we had a great time despite the cold and the dogs loved it.
filey has some great sprawling beaches.
the bay itself is immaculate. the meadow has some lovely walks for the dogs if you've had enough of sandy paws.
it's a place we have come back to many times and will continue to do so.
- Linda (9/5): Fantastic comfortable holiday - Great location close to beach short walk to primrose valley
- Russell (8/5): Great place with top facilities the only flaw with the place was no soda to lounge on but other than that great place wi - Great location No sofa to veg out on after a days graft
- Sam (7/5): Nice stay but bed spoilt it ,internet I took my own as it always works so not bothered about that - Location ok The mattress on the bed was no good it was scrap ,if you didn’t have a bad back when you went ,you wold have when you left ,internet wouldn’t connect, tried untill I lost the will to live ?
- Maureen (5/5): Passable - Location was quiet Apartment needed updating. Living room chairs not very good for relaxing as you had to sit bolt upright all the time because of the style of them. Bed was saggy and not supportive, mattress needs replacing.
- Julia (10/5): Great location for the beach, dog friendly - Well equipped No sofa, uncomfortable chairs instead
- Pauline (6/5): Pleasant - location
site facilities microwave didn't work
door not labelled with other flat numbers but not this one, which is confusing. The key press not labelled unless one opened it. It took me some time to find.
- Kathy (10/5): Wonderful place, wonderful weather - It was light and airy and had everything needed for break away from home Nothing
- Harris (8/5): Very good - Very lively, clean property The hard leather chairs wasn't very comfy
- Denise (7/5): Clean but armchairs needed replacing, extremely uncomfortable and tatty! - Clean.
Plenty of kitchen items.
Clean bedding and towels . Two armchair extremely uncomfortable. Terribly worn and split leather/PVC.
Logging into WiFi a faff having to seek password off box , should be in instruction booklet.
Microwave didn't work on microwave, no instructions for it I had to download on my mobile and after numerous attempts it didn't work at all .
Don't understand why no instruction booklet for a guide.
I did email and was informed that someone would come check it out but no one ever did so some food which was microwave I had to bin and other food had to use electric oven which was inconvenient and obviously used more electric.
- Julie (6/5): Lovely apartment but furnishings need to be upgraded. - There was plenty of space in the property and had good amenities, ample parking and electric charging right by the apartment. The mattress was terrible, thin, lumpy and uncomfortable, it really let down the property. Antony was very responsive but unfortunately did not fix the problem, was told that they had fitted a mattress topper, but all that was provided was a mattress protector. I think they need to invest in a quality mattress as the rest of the apartment was lovely.
- Philip (7/5): Good - We love the bay been before good beach and facilities The apartment basic don't mind that but needs a sofa.chairs very uncomfortable. No TV in bedroom
- Deacon (10/5): Exceptional - Well layed out. Quality facilities and exceptional service.
- Lorraine (5/5): Information overload and unexpected hold of money took the shine off this stay. - The flat itself was fine but lacking some comfort as the chairs were hard and it would benefit from a sofa instead to relax on. The mattress needs replacing in my opinion as the springs have gone and its very flat once you are on it. It was clean and the area is nice but this unnecessary bombarding and holding money for so long means I wont be booking again. When I booked the property I paid in full so no cancellation option. Then the emails/ messages started and a security deposit of £150 was needed, not a big issue but frustrating as no mention before booking but then they 'hold' that amount for 2 weeks BEFORE you go, this seems ridiculously unnecessary as its for breakages. I really don’t mind a security deposit but it should be taken at most the day before not leaving you without those funds for 3 weeks plus by the time they refund. This financially placed me in difficulty not being able to use that card.
Then the sheer amount of information is overwhelming, unnecessary and I found it intrusive, I checked out of curiosity and found they sent over 15,000 words on messenger repeated by email over 6 occasions with at least 7 attachment documents and eight text messages (two while I was there). Wayyyyy to much information which was repetitive and left me feeling uneasy in case I missed anything in the small print and the continued communication meant I didn't feel able to relax while there.
- Karen (9/5): I would definitely consider booking this apartment again - The apartment was Very clean and comfortable and well equipped parking was outside the property It was a short walk to the pub shop and leisure centre and the location was good as a base for visiting the East Coast The kitchen wall cupboards are very high maybe a foldable step could be an addition for us shorter people
The food and drink in the onsite pub was expensive but the interior of the pub was nice and comfortable to sit in
- Anesthasia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jo (8/5): A lovely refreshing and peaceful place to stay. - We loved the location as we could walk to the beach. The village was very nice and we enjoyed the swimming pool. The local shop was useful. I couldn't get the microwave to work which was a bit inconvenient.
- Liam (9/5): Superb -
- Diane (9/5): Very clean good value for money - No sofa just single chairs ,chest bed
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (9/5): Very enjoyable would definitely recommend it and come back - The complex was more upmarket than I was expecting. The apartment was clean and well appointed The plugs in the bath and the sink got stuck. The door to the apartment creaked , might annoy the neighbours
- Anonymous (7/5): Good - Bedroom and bathroom very good No were to hang coats Chairs not very comfortable
- Jennifer (10/5): Wahay the bay - The apartment was clean , we had a problem with the boiler and after informing the owner a plumber came out on Sunday evening we were impressed.the site is clean and well run . The climb from the beach .
- Ps (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sue (8/5): Good location well equipped apartment - The chairs were not very comfy and being of a non fabric material you tended to stick to them.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Harding (10/5): Lovely apartment very suitable for our requirements. -
- Charles (9/5): Superb - apartment really nice. could do with another few cooking aids. only 1 oven tray. but otherwise really nice
- Kirsty (8/5): Nice few days away - Quiet area
Like the welcome packs No comfortable couch to chill on after a long day walking
- Mary (8/5): Very good - The apartment was lovely The two chairs in lounge were very uncomfortable as I have hip & back problems and my husband is very tall, but everything else was lovely.
- Ange1973 (10/5): Absolutely beautiful long weekend away in meadowside apartment. - The apartment had everything you needed, it was very peaceful and the views from the windows were lovely.
- Terry (9/5): Superb -
- Steve (8/5): Very good - The apartment and site were very nice and quiet. Easy access to the beach and cliff top walks. The pool was appreciated. The on site shop was well stocked. The on site pub wasn,'t the best. Quite pricey with exceeding slow service. The on site cafe was only open Friday & Saturday and was pizza based. Not a good variety of food on offer.
Repeated emails from owners. We must have received at least 12 communications with varying instructions.
- Jax (8/5): Lovely place. - It would have been good to know iñ advance lovely ³of booking that the apartment is not wheelchair accessible.
- Michelle (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely little apartment. All clean and fresh. Everything you needed in ther very nice
- Emma (10/5): Perfect location and place. -
- Thais (6/5): So much potential! - Pros
Location: 10/10
Apartment size: 10/10
Cleanliness: Ok - few places were missed. Cons
Apartment walls: the painting needs some TLC.
Apartment was very hot during the night, even though the heating was off.
I've had two brief interactions with the host (one via message, one on the phone). He was rude and came across irritable and condescending both times.
Newsflash: even if my questions were answered in your instructions (which one of them wasn't), there was nothing in our exchange on my part that warranted your behaviour. The host is the reason why I wouldn't stay in this property again.
