• Marco (4/5): Deludente - Sicuramente la posizione è il punto forte Nonostante la buona posizione, il corso Garibaldi di notte è molto trafficato e a meno che non ci siano infissi isolanti, il riposo non è assicurato. Purtroppo siamo rimasti delusi anche per altre cose. Prima cosa, avevamo capito che i lavori al palazzo fossero temporanei invece con un po' di ricerca su Google Maps le impalcature sono lì da molti anni e non era chiaro dalle recensioni e dalla descrizione. A causa delle impalcature non si possono aprire le finestre, quindi c'è poca luce e se si aprissero la polvere e molto altro entrerebbe dentro. Seconda cosa, nonostante le finestre fossero chiuse ci siamo congelati perché evidentemente sono infissi vecchi che fanno entrare parecchi spifferi. Lo staff è stato comprensivo e ci ha cambiato la stanza, ma purtroppo anche dall'altra parte abbiamo incontrato le stesse problematiche. Pulizia insomma, ho visto diversi capelli. Peccato.

• Marina Canalejo (9/5): - The place was beautiful and it was very well equipped. With a huge fridge and a convection stove we even prepared some meals. It was very well located, steps from the beach and shops and restaurants. We enjoyed our visit a lot. The building is under repair and the elevator was not working when we got there and when we left, meaning that we had to go one flight of stairs both times.

• Esther (7/5): Prima voor het bedrag - Mooie plek in Salerno, snelle communicatie op afstand met de verhuurder. Kamer is sfeervol in stijl. Leuke digitale gids met tips! Het gebouw wordt verbouwd. Je hebt er niet echt last van maar het voelt wat raar. En het stinkt bij binnenkomst in het gebouw. Niet in de kamer.

Buenos, el edificio, en general parece que estubiera en reparación, pero no vi a nadie trabajando, habria que ver un poco el olor a humedad en la planta baja, al lado del ascensor.

Historisches Gebäude, welches gerade renoviert wird. Schade, denn wir hätten den Ausblick gerne genossen. Aber keine Lärmbelästigung, daher nicht störend. Und wir kommen wieder, um uns die Fertigstellung anzusehen.

• Sonia (2/5): Dropping off the bags was near to impossible so we walked to the garage and back. - Location The Hygiene of the shower was mouldy and there was dog hair on the lounge. The scaffolding on the building was on both the outside and inside. Especially walking through the entry looked very dangerous. Wires looked unsafe.

• NICOLETTA (8/5): Ci siamo trovati bene nel complesso. - Posizione centrale, comoda per negozi, bar, ristoranti. La stazione dei treni e degli autobus è raggiungibile in pochi minuti a piedi. Vicino anche al lungomare. Il check-in è autonomo anche se avremmo apprezzato trovare l'host all'arrivo. La camera è comoda, la pulizia ottima. L'edificio è in ristrutturazione, al momento ci sono ponteggi attorno e lavori in corso anche all'interno. E' un palazzo antico e si nota, ci sono le scale per accedere alle camere al primo piano (c'è anche un ascensore del vecchio tipo ma non lo abbiamo mai utilizzato). Il bagno è senza finestra.
• Domenico (9/5): Per me, nativo di Salerno -la casa natale a 100 metri dal B&B - è stata una piacevole rimpatriata. - La posizione, praticamente sul bellissimo lungomare si trova in pieno centro ed è eccellente per chi voglia visitare la città a piedi. La stanza è silenziosa (affacciata nel cortile) e abbastanza confortevole. Una macchina da caffè e un bollitore assicurano un buon approccio mattutino anche se non completo. Il costo è stato davvero buono, considerando appunto la posizione. Un grazie alla gentile accoglitrice. Il materasso è ampio e confortevole ma, forse per l'età, tende a cedere lungo i bordi.

• David (1/5): Disappointed beyond words - There were lovely teas and coffees provided and it was close to shops and restaurants. Be warned it’s a construction site. The building is covered both at the front and back in scaffolding with blue mesh over it and the entry foyer looks like a permanent construction site with more scaffolding, boarded up walls and wires hanging loose. When it rains the foyer becomes flooded and stays that way for days. You can only use 1 of 2 little balconies due to the scaffolding obscuring and being literally on it AND the other windows are completely covered by scaffolding with blue mesh. We were woken up all 3 mornings to loud banging, drilling and tiles or glass smashing. While the host apologised at first they said it wasn’t their responsibility to disclose any of this information in the listing or before our stay. There was absolutely no understanding that this totally ruined our 3 nights being woken to very loud construction noise and thinking we were going to have a peaceful and beautiful stay which it was the opposite - they didn’t see the issue. I wish I could include way more photos and sound videos to show you how bad it was!!

The apartment was very spacious and well decorated, the Lavazza coffee machine and coffee was epic! Beautiful coffee cups and view from living room. The building is very vintage and under restoration process, which is not mentioned from what I saw. The one balcony in the bedroom, was blocked by scaffolding.

• Joan (9/5): A relaxing calm stay in Salerno - Loved the location. We loved the apartment. Very clean and comfotable. We will definitely request a sea view room next time! When we needed help the host, Anna and staff were amazing and on call for us. We are definitely returning here. We liked everything. We would like easy access to a washing machine and drying facilities for when we choose a longer stay. Yes there are construction works but did not affect our stay.

• Karen (8/5): Great theme and location - We loved the location in relationship to some fantastic restaurants and pizza and shopping. We recommend il tegamino and La antica pizzeria da Michele. Also, Romolo cafe. The art theme throughout the unit was uniquely inspired and a nice touch. We prefer a larger size door on the shower to get in and out The step down without a grab bar was tricky.
• robert (7/5): Nice rooms shame about the building work - The building is undergoing long term renovations so you need to allow for that. We had an internal room which faced the building work so make sure you don’t pick one of those. The rooms are quirky and a nice size. We ended up being moved to a room with a balcony which was much better and wasn’t affected by the building work.hame The building work. The owner was very rude and there was no one to welcome us and we weren’t sent the access codes before we arrived but luckily the very friendly security guard got us into the building. There is never anyone on reception so you can’t ask questions or find out what the tourist tax is

Most rooms are equipped with a kitchen and the bathrooms are all a good size. It is a great location! Easy to the train station, shore, ferry, historic center and churches. Would stay here again. • Anca (10/5): Lovely apartment with great design and facilities. - The accommodation has a great location, it’s very close to restaurants, bars, the beach and also close to the port in case you’re planning to take the ferry to visit Amalfi, Positano etc. I loved how the apartment was designed, you are surounded by art at every corner. Also the room gets cleaned and towels are replaced every morning. The place it’s such a good value for money, I highly recommend it. There’s nothing I can complain about.

• Kathrin (6/5): - Die Küche mit dem kleinen Balkon. Viele schöne Bilder aus der Region. Parken eine Katastrophe: Die Empfehlung des Vermieters 25€ pro Tag hätte für unsere E-Klasse 40€, also für unsere 2 Übernachtungen 80€ nur fürs parken gekostet. Man kommt in das Gebäude und denkt man ist auf einer Baustelle......kein Urlaubsfeeling. Das Badfenster konnte nicht geöffnet werden, sonst wären riesige Spinnen rein gekommen, komplett von außen mit Spinnweben und sicher seit Jahren nicht gereinigt. Kein Hinweis, dass das Gebäude fast komplett Eingerüstet ist. Wir konnten somit auch nachts nicht die Schlafzimmertür zum Balkon öffnen, da jeder ganz leicht einsteigen konnte. Sehr laut, da an einer stark gefahrenen Straße und das sogar von beiden Seiten. Zum Strand muss man die Promenade ein ganzes Ende entlang gehen und dann ist das schmutziger grauer Sand und kein weißer Sandstrand.

We were lucky we had no scaffolding outside our lounge balcony but the bedroom balcony was unusable, couldn’t open doors and no view due to scaffolding and coverings. This building will look great when finished.

• Lilia (9/5): Little gem next to the sea - Location with amazing view, design, beautiful little details in the flat: tea, kettle, cups, coffee machine, decorations 😍 Note, the flat is laid out as a long corridor connecting the bathroom, bedroom, and kitchen, which I didn’t expect. Also to reach the toilet, you first enter the bathroom, then open and close another door to access the toilet behind it.

• Michelle (10/5): Fantastic stay. Great location and hosts. Had everything we needed. - Superb location and facilities. We stayed in the van Gogh apartment which had a lovely balcony overlooking the promenade and ocean - great for wine and cheese, and listening to the buskers and people-watching. Close to shops, supermarkets, transport, etc. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. We extended our stay because we enjoyed it so much. The building was shrouded in scaffolding, but it didn't really affect us much, only the bedroom balcony was not usable. Otherwise, fantastic!

• Peg (3/5): Shocked at the poor condition of the building - The location is close to the main area of town. The building is undergoing a huge renovation. The entire exterior AND the interior lobby has scaffolding. The first floor smelled like sewage and had rat traps out in the open.

• Peter (4/5): Location fabulous, room good, entrance and exterior terrible. - The interior of the room was good, the location was great The exterior was being renovated as was the entrance. It was more like a building site, the entrance smelt. Interior was good. but would not stay again until the outside and entrance was finished.

Property was clean, fresh bottles of water brought in each day. Tea and coffee facilities. Aircon wasn’t very good and therefore had to open the window which brought in mosquitoes and noise from outside. Towels needed replacing as old and worn

• Timothy (8/5): Great spot, was a shame the the building was under scaffolding which hindered the view but the rooms were clean and comf - Clean rooms at a great location. Walls were quite thin so could hear everything from the next room.
• Debra (9/5): We had a lovely week here and would stay again. - The view, the staff and the location. Tiny balcony and the couch wasn’t very comfortable. Moved cushions around to improve that.

• Holly (8/5): Fix up your hotel!!! Get normal light switches-get fire escapes from each room and fire alarms in every room- Offer a fu - Location was excellent-wonderful view! Nice to have a refrigerator and small kitchen. Very convenient-We had a lovely time in Salerno- We should have been notified that the entire building is being redone-it was covered in scalfling and sheets...part of the roof in entranceway is totally off- We should have been contacted with instructions how to contact the owner to enter-it caused a lot of stress!!!Unprofessional to say the least. But the guy was nice when he finally showed up after we had to contact him-he should of made arrangements to meet us since the place us in shambles and makes you think no way could a human being live in such dissaray! We had no clue the building was being redone- Also/there are no smoke detectors and there are no fire alarm exits- This is very unsafe-there should be fire stares outside every room from there window to the scape fire... In America this building would be shut down and or bulldozed down. And the room we rented had automatic motion detector lights- Crazy and annoying- You should definitely have light switches in every room- Having lights constantly go on and off is horrible and wakes you up!!! Also Breakfast was supposedly included. You should specify what you mean by breakfast- Breakfast to most people means a variety of food like yogurts jams eggs bacon cereal- Not just a muffin and coffee-and water downed juice...Very disappointing to say the least- it could of been fabulous since the location was great and it was a nice little place to eat- Coffee was very good...
