• Pearl Sara (10/5): Warm welcoming host, amazing view!! - The host was very lovely lady. gave us a warm welcome. She helped us by giving detailed explanations on what to see, how to get to these places, food to try etc. She sent us pictures and videos on how to get to the property , which was very helpful. The breakfast was lovely , really enjoyed the coffee. The view is just wow!! She also let us use the parking spot after checkout time. Would come back here.
• Maureen (10/5): Great option in Gjirokaster - This house has one of the best views of the fortress from its terrace and a lovely view of the valley from the room's balcony. Great breakfast. Walkable to the bazaar for restaurants and to see sites. Parking was off road and the hostess sent us a great video of how to reach the property. We artived during torrential rain and a cold spell so can attest to the heat working well! WIFI worked well and hot water for showers. Room had a small refrigerator and spring water was available from a tap outside the building. But perhaps best was the hostess, Joana, who was in good communication before and throughout our stay and with whom we had several meaningful conversations. Thank you, Joana, for a wonderful stay at Clockwise. We enjoyed our visit 🙂
• Geesche (10/5): Cozy with a view - Clockwise Guestrooms is the cozy choice with a view! Our host Joana was the best! She did everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible - from a video of the best way to the hostel to offering an extended stay as my friend got sick. We felt absolutely welcomed and whenever we will come back to Gjirokastra the clockwise will be our first choice!

Joana nous a accueillis avec la gentillesse albanaise, nous a donné d’excellents conseils pour notre séjour à Gjirokastër et pour la suite de notre périple. • Tam (9/5): Cozy accommodation with castle view and welcoming hosts. - Wonderful view from room balcony and terrace. Close proximity to castle and bazaar (about 15 minutes walk with some short and steep inclines). Joanna, proprietor, was very nice and attentive. Hosts were very responsive to requests and sought to ensure a pleasant and comfortable stay. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast in the dining area/salon with beautiful views of the castle. The AC/heater worked well and we were nice and toasty overnight. Room had mini fridge and small TV screen. Beds were comfortable. Room has cozy chalet ambiance. The room was rather compact and felt insufficient for 4 adults. It’s better suited for 2 adults or family with 1-2 small children. The shower curtain was too short and didn’t reach the floor so water would splash everywhere. The location was a bit difficult to locate (I received Joanna’s detailed instruction video after the fact) and navigate but very doable for capable drivers. But, part of the adventure and discovery of Gjirokaster.

Ioanna and Aenes were truly warm and helpful hosts, they managed our 2and a half years old girl, Alkyoni, wandering around and asking all the time " What are you doing kurios?". 😂They kindly welcomed us in the living room whenever we wanted and needed and responded to any need. The old town is located around 15 minutes by foot,.the view is awesome and the breakfast by Ioanna superb! Surely we will come again, thank you for everything! 😃🥰

• Nicole (10/5): Amazing accommodation with beautiful views, exceptional hosts, and comfortable rooms! - Lovely accommodation in a great area. Short walk from the bazaar and Gjirokaster castle. The host Joana provided directions to get to the property by car and also directions to the main attractions in the town. The room was very cosy with a comfy bed, nice lighting, and good storage. The breakfast area had cute lights and a gorgeous view of the castle and valley. Joana is an amazing, kind, and thoughtful host who gives amazing recommendations for things to do in the area. She picked us up from the bus station and dropped us off when we were leaving which saved us walking up a steep hill. The breakfast she provides is delicious and rotated options of Albania good across the stay so we weren’t eating the same thing everyday. We had an absolutely amazing stay and would highly recommend Joana’s accommodation to anyone visiting Gjirokaster! Nothing

• Dolly (9/5): Overall, fantastic! Comfortable, welcoming and a beautiful setting. - Breakfast was substantial and delicious. I appreciated the local dishes included with standard offerings. We never felt rushed and could relax over coffee. Frosted glass rather than clear on the back window darkened the room somewhat and hindered a clear view. Only a small inconvenience. Otherwise, a wonderful place to stay!
• Douglas (9/5): Very hospitable owners in a comfortable, reasonably priced guest house. - We loved the view of the castle from the property. Eating breakfast on the terrace with a beautiful view of the surrounding valley is wonderful. The owners were very helpful in so many ways. Each morning we had a slightly different breakfast with a lot of traditional Albanian food which was nice. The only thing people should be aware is that the property is a 15 minute walk to the town center. But you are located closer to the walk to Ali Pasha Bridge.

Wij zijn dat niet gewend en is in een kleine ruimte als je zelf niet rookt vies. Daardoor gingen wij buiten zitten terwijl wij de gasten waren 😉. ..

Locati - Absolutely everything!!! - if you get a chance to stay at this incredible accomodation do!! We’ve been traveling it’s our favourite by far!! Nothing at all other than wish we were there for another night!!
• Marion (10/5): Wohlfühlort - Alles war sehr schön. Joanna ist sehr herzlich und hilfsbereit. Sie hat uns sogar umsonst von der Busstation abgeholt und uns ein Video über den Weg zur Burg gegeben. Der Blick von der Frühstücksterrasse über die Häuser uud die Landschaft und zur Burg ist gigantisch. Die Terrasse hatte abends leise chilige Musik. Alles zum Wohlfühlen. Und Gjionkastra ist es wirklich wert zu übernachten oder auch für länger. Die Burg ist sehr schön, die Ali Pascha Bridge, die Menschen hier... Nur eine Kleinigkeit: ein verknotetes Seil als WC- Spülung war optisch nicht so schön.

• Lucas (10/5): Como en casa - El trato de Joana y el cuidado que hace de los huéspedes es especial. Te hace sentir en familia. Está bastante cerca de los principales sitios de interés de la ciudad y al mismo tiempo, alejado de la zona más congestionada. La habitación tenía un balcón amplio y con vistas muy bonitas, y desde la terraza de la casa podían verse el castillo y las montañas. El desayuno fue otro punto importante, Joana se preocupó por tener un desayuno completo y rico, y encima buscó una alternativa sin gluten.

• sophie (8/5): Très bon séjour, décoration soignée et typique, équipements parfaits, point de vue exceptionnel, bon accueil. - Chambre d hôte très bien située. Petit déjeuner copieux - vue sur le château ! La propriétaire nous a envoyé plusieurs messages avec photos et vidéos pour nous indiquer la route. Trop peu d échanges avec la propriétaire. Nous ne l avons vue que pour le petit déjeuner assez brièvement. Seul bémol (la propriétaire n étant en rien responsable) : un chien a aboyé jusqu au milieu de la nuit.

Unfortunately I got ill during the trip and the host was kind enough to drive us to the hospital, translate Albanian into English, pick up medicine, and make lunch. She honestly was too kind. My girlfriend and I are so grateful for the kindness and hospitality she showed us :) The breakfast in the morning is excellent! A broad range of items such as bread, eggs, pancakes, cheese, and jam/marmalade. The view when eating breakfast was incredible and worth a million by itself. Its in the shadow so the hot summer sun doesnt burn you in the morning. Parking was also good. Plenty of space for cars. The host provides you with driving directions when asked. The room itself was comfy and had all the amenities you wanted. AC also worked great.
• Els (9/5): Gezellige guestroom met prachtig uitzicht. - De guestroom is heel rustig gelegen. Net buiten de drukte van Gjirokaster maar dicht genoeg om er te voet naartoe te gaan. De gastvrouw was zeer vriendelijk en sprak goed Engels. Lekker ontbijtje met zelfgemaakte Byrek (beste die we gegeten hebben). Ontbijt met een prachtig uitzicht. Kamer is klein maar gezellig en alles is aanwezig.

• Garland (10/5): - Joana was a great host at Clockwise Guesthouse and we had a fantastic stay at this beautiful place. The view over the castle from the terrace was incredible and it was just a short walk through to the centre of town. Joana was really helpful in helping us sort local activities and answering any questions we had about the area. She made us a lovely breakfast and we all slept well in the cosy rooms.

• F. (9/5): - Apartament położy jest w pięknej okolicy, jest cicho i spokojnie a widok z tarasu zapiera dech w piersiach. Pokój jest bardzo stylowy i czysty. Właścicielka jest bardzo pomocna i kontaktowa. Wysłała nam filmiki z lokalizacją, które bardzo ułatwily dotarcie na miejsce. Plusem jest darmowy parking pod samym wejściem do apartamentu.

• Inés (10/5): Maravillosa experiencia - Nos encantó, Joana se esforzó en ayudarnos a llegar con vídeos e indicaciones, pendiente de nosotros todo el rato. Esta un poco apartado del centro pero vale la pena por su tranquilidad, vistas y por su anfitriona, de 10. También nos adaptó el desayuno ya que uno de nosotros no puede tomar lactosa ni gluten, un desayuno abundante, ojalá nos hubieramos hospedado más días, nos trató como reyes. También nos recomendó lugares que visitar y donde comer. Una maravilla. Nos acordaremos siempre de ella y de este fantástico rincon. Nos gustó todo

• Anna (10/5): Would definitely recommend and go back!! - Even though we only stayed for one night, it was hard to no notice the good service! Joana was helpful from the start with a good guide to get ourself to the hotel and also flexible with check-in. When we arrived she recommended a great family owned restaurant at a wineyard close 15 min car drive from the guesthouse. She also had a friend that could drive us there so we could enjoy wine there. So happy she recommended that one - it was amazing food and atmosphere! The hotel has a beautiful view, great location to get to the bazaar. The breakfast was amazing and just all in all a great visit! Room was big and with a balcony also showing the stunning view. Nothing really. If I would have to say something I think the bed was a bit hard, otherwise nothing.

The Guesthouse is on a beautiful place and we had a delicious breakfast on the most beautiful place with a view on the castle The room was cosy and the interior was nice. We received perfect information and short movies for reaching the accomodarion and the centre of Gjirokastër.. The matras was really hard but that's a personal thing. The room was noisy.
• Charis (10/5): Κάτι παραπάνω από εξαιρετικό!!! - Αν ποτέ ξαναπάω στο Αργυρόκαστρο μόνο εκεί θα πάω! Εξαιρετικό δωμάτιο και οι ιδιοκτήτες καταπληκτικοί!!! Κάθε λεπτομέρεια πολύ προσεγμένη από τα δωμάτια, την διακόσμηση μεχρι και το πρωινό. Δίπλα στα δωμάτια οι ιδιοκτήτες εχουν ένα μπαράκι με βεράντα με θέα όλη την πόλη και το κάστρο όπου μπορείς να απολαύσεις την δροσιά και την θέα. Πολλά μπράβο στα νέα παιδιά που το έχουν γιατί φαίνεται η αγάπη σε αυτό που κάνουν!!!
• Mareike (10/5): Absolute Empfehlung: himmlisches Frühstück über den Dächern der Stadt - Besser kann man es kaum treffen: das absolute Highlight ist die traumhafte Terrasse, auf der uns ein überwältigendes Frühstück serviert wurde. Aber alles ist von Anfang bis Ende durchdacht. Professionelle Videos weisen einem den Weg zur Unterkunft und zu Burg/Bazar. Der Weg ist selbst für kleine Kinder gut machbar, die Parksituation sehr entspannt. Die Unterkunft ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und wurde vom Vater der Gastgeberin selbst erbaut, was man an dem Herz spürt, dass hier in die Beherbergung investiert wird. Wir wären gern länger geblieben und kommen in jedem Fall wieder, falls es uns noch mal nach Gjirokastra verschlägt. Vielen Dank! Es war alles bestens

• Petra (10/5): Bijzonder plekje, fijne kamer met balkon, ontbijten met uitzicht op het kasteel. - Wat een gaaf plekje boven in Gjyrokaster met uitzicht op het kasteel. Een heerlijk ontbijt op een gezellig terrasje. Vanuit de B&B wandel je zo naar het gezellige oude centrum en de bazaar. -

I was arriving early but was available for me to self check in then go out to explore. Was given easy directions to find the castle which didn't take long. Amazing communication. I got a taxi up from the bus station which wasn't very expensive . It was very hot so was glad if the taxi. 45 minutes to walk up the hill from bus station.Beautiful views from the communal sitting area, private balcony was great for having a coffee on. Breakfast was at the time I requested and had plenty to eat. I was going back to Tirana and the host kindly packed up some of my breakfast for my journey. That I had to leave

• Louisette Boutet (10/5): Inoubliable Gjirokastër - L'emplacement était magnifique, la vue à partir de la terrasse de la salle à manger est face au château donc sublime autant le jour que le soir, le petit balcon de notre chambre faisait face à une vallée paisible. Joana, la propriétaire est super sympathique, très aidante et elle nous a très bien dirigé pour pouvoir pleinement profiter de notre séjour à Gjirokastër. La chambre est petite mais très propre et confortable, le déjeuner qu'elle nous a servi était délicieux !

• Jenner (9/5): Amazing host, stunning views, brilliant location. - The wonderful location, 10 min walk to the historic old Bazar with so many restaurants, shops and bars. And a few minutes more to the historic castle. The views from the terrace were amazing and our host Joana was a shining gem. Breakfast served on the terrace was fantastic. The room was very basic which we didn’t mind as we were there for the location and views. Also value for money was exceptional. The bed was very firm but that may be a personal preference.

• Gregg (8/5): - Het uitzicht vanop de kamer en ontbijt waren top. Joana is steeds bereikbaar voor als je vragen hebt en ze heeft ook uitstekende tips gegeven voor activiteiten. Ligt op een niet zo evidente locatie om te bereiken maar haar uitleg ruim op voorhand hielp wel heel goed. Het bed is vrij hard.

• Antón (9/5): - The staff, the room. The house is 10 minutos walking distance from the center. Very quiet and peacefully. The views and breakfast were awesome! Only thing we will say maybe is the bathroom (shower) because there was a lot of water in the floor but it really doesn't matter anyway.
• Werner (9/5): Über den Dächer Gjirokastras - Gute Lage, durch den Tunnel gelangt man viel schneller in die Altstadt, als gedacht. Balkon und Frühstücksterrasse sind ein Träumchen. Die Anfahrt ist tricky. Unbedingt dem zugesandten Film folgen!
• Peter (9/5): Sensationeller Ausblick gepaart mit Herzlichkeit - Der Empfang von Joana war sehr herzlich. Sie gab über alles Auskunft. Erzählte mir ein Teil der Geschichte Albanien, gab mir Ausflugsideen, schickte mir Links zu Orten in der Umgebung. Der Weg in die Altstadt dauert 11 kurzweilige Minuten. Auf die Burg hat man eine sensationelle Aussicht von der kleinen Frühstücksterasse.

Dans un cadre nature hyper reposant. ++ La terrasse vue sur le château de Gjirokaster ! Magnifique Matelas hyper dur. 15 min à pied du centre (en montée et descente)
• Stephen (10/5): - Everything about our stay at Clockwise was fabulous. The rooms were cosy and had great views and a balcony to sit and appreciate them from. Joana was an amazing host: friendly, funny, and so so helpful. Her breakfast was homemade and tasty, each day had a different local dish. We loved them all. The location of Clockwise is perfect for walking to the castle and old bazaar. There is a local bus that stops 50 meters away that goes downtown. If you are coming to Gjirokaster, we would highly recommend staying at Clockwise Guestrooms. Thanks, Joana. 😀😀

Joana est super, j’ai beaucoup apprécie parler avec elle, ses conseils et vidéos étaient essentiels tant pour trouver le logement que pour les recommandations de visites.

• sharon (10/5): Fabulous stay - The room is lovely, and spotlessly clean. There is a private balcony at the back and a shared veranda at the front. There is also a veranda seating area with amazing views of the castle. Joana is a wonderful host and she went above and beyond to make our stay perfect 👌. The walk to the bazaar and castle is approximately 10 mins . If you are arriving by car joana sends a video to help you find the property.

Sehr herzlich wurden wir empfangen und bekamen tolle Tipps für die Umgebung. Die Kommunikation mit Joana war super, denn sie kennt viele Geschichten aus der Gegend und teilt sie sehr gerne.Das Zimmer ist sehr liebevoll mit kleinen Details gestaltet und lädt ein noch länger zu bleiben. Joana hat uns wunderbar mit leckerem Frühstück und hervorragendem Abendessen versorgt. Es war etwas ganz besonders! Auf der Terasse mit Blick auf die Burg und die Berge lässt sich entspannt verweilen. Joana und ihr Mann sind unglaublich hilfsbereit und waren immer zu erreichen für uns. 1000 Dank für alles! Nichts

• Lorenz (9/5): Gerne wieder! - Schöne Aussicht, dir beste Aussicht hat man jedoch vom Frühstücksplatz/Terrasse. Parken vor Ort möglich. Anfahrt mit dem Video kein Problem. Ca 10 min. Zu Fuß ins Zentrum. Zimmer eher sehr dunkel und wirklich nur zum schlafen und duschen. Ähnlich wie ein Hotelzimmer.

Literie très ferme, accès difficile par de petites routes pavées à double sens où une seule voiture passe, et nous n’avons malheureusement pas pu profiter du petit déjeuner car l’accueil était fermé, peut être aurions nous dû prévenir avant.

You can have a very good view of the mountains and castle It was a but uphill which made the walk a bit difficult. Plus I think they put handwash as showergel and shampoo.
