Guest Reviews
- Corine (9/5): - Hafermilch war nebst der grossen Küche mit Tee, Kaffee, Gewürzen verfügbar and sympathische Besitzer
Schöne und ruhige Lage!

- Anna (10/5): A wonderful place to stay! I loved it! - A lovely experience! Everything provided for me to look after myself in very comfortable surroundings! In a beautiful house! Nothing!
- Rachel (10/5): Great value with added luxury at a budget price - Bossington Bunkhouse is an absolute gem. It oozes luxury at budget prices. The owners were welcoming and gave the same attention to detail as the more upmarket bed and breakfast that it adjoins.
Stayed here whilst walking the SWCP, toiletries, soft towels, comfortable bed as well as cooking facilities and ready meals available to purchase and heat up.

- Nicolle (8/5): I’d go again - I loved the location and the owners were very helpful and friendly.
Lovely to have access to a kitchen.
And a good stroll to porlock for a meal or drink. Unfortunately, and not the owners fault, I seem to not handle polyester mattress covers and duvet. It’s me 🙁

- Williams (8/5): Lovely first night stay on the SWCP! - It was a comfortable great first stay for my first night on the south west coast path! It was well stocked for me to buy dinner and a glass of wine! Kitchen was perfect and room was comfortable. Breakfast provided in the morning was also great! As a solo traveller, the only room available was £60 for a twin bed room, which seemed a little steep for shared bathroom and kitchen.

- jane (10/5): - Very comfortable more budget range price but felt luxury! Lovely setting and right where all the hill walks start (or end) All facilities you need and clear instructions how to proceed. There was nothing not to like. It was perfect.
- Harvey (9/5): - Fabulous location, clean, comfortable and well equipped rooms. Good communication.
- Celtic (10/5): - It is somewhere that I would like to live/move too as it is an ideal place for me for what I'm looking for in that sort of environment and area and close to the sea.
The staff were very friendly and I also got a bit of advice from one about looking for a property and got an estate agency from her to go to and that's what I did also.
Plus, I also got a lift into the city/town centre in the early hours of the morning from a kind man as I was walking on the road, and that also helped me out.
So thank you very much. Their was a bus service, but the times were very different from what was stated .
- Lewis (10/5): Perfect overnight while running the SWCP - Absolutely stunning. Exceptionally clean which fantastic facilities for the price point. I needed a quick overnight as I was running a large section of the SWCP - was not expecting this place to be as incredible as it was. No faults
- Andrea (10/5): - Loved it - perfect for solo female hikers. Great location, good accessibility from a path, very pretty and warm room (rooms in England tend to be cold but this one wasn't and I was so happy), comfy bed and amazing fluffy towels. I liked the self catering kitchen - you can get some frozen meal options downstairs so you don't have to bring your dinner like I did. There are also drinks. And you can get a packed breakfast. Everything is easy to understand. Oh and magnificent views from the garden!
- Sweder (6/5): - Mooi landhuis op rustige locatie met squashbaan. Kamer was nogal vochtig en muf. Veel grotere spinnen in kamer en badkamer.

- Murray (9/5): Perfect for a one night stay - Bossington bunkhouse was a great place for 1 night stopover. The facilities were great, clean and spacious with a large bathroom. The location is fantastic with lovely views down to the see in the distance. There was a glitch in the directions which meant we got directed to the wrong set of rooms. Other than that it was straightforward and the owner apologised for the glitch.
- Alf (10/5): A perfect experience. I will definitely return to experience the B&B offering at Bossington Hall - The location is stunning. The quality of my room was way, way above what one would normally expect of a bunkhouse. The kitchen facilities are well equipped and there is a great choice of microwave or oven meals, which are not expensive. Guy was a most hospitable host from the moment I arrived until I left. Nothing at all.
- steve (6/5): - Shared facilities
- Maurizio (7/5): -
- Bozic (6/5): - De locatie Jammer dat het zo gescheiden is van de B&B.
- Andy (10/5): -
- Paul (8/5): - The setting is stunning..... but that's Exmoor for you.
The main house here is very impressive in its garden surroundings
- Sam (8/5): Very good - The house is very nice with amazing grounds. The bunkhouse was easy to access and find, I didn't meet any staff but there are clear instructions on arrival. The honesty food is reasonable and helpful, and the kitchen & bathroom are clean and well stocked with all the necessary things. My room was clean and comfortable. If possible it might have been nice to have access to the main bar & eating area at the bnb.
- Sarah (10/5): Very comfortable stay in a lovely location. - Staff very responsive and helpful. Lovely room. Good kitchen area with tea, coffee milk etc. and it was possible to buy basic supplies as required.
- Ailsa (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect stop on the SWCP in an idyllic location
- Aileen (8/5): Very good -
- Armitage (10/5): Fabulous place, excellent hosts -
- Paul (9/5): Great location and very handy for walkers - Clean and comfortable Nothing
- Timothy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (8/5): Spotless, comfortable rooms in a lovely setting. - The house and the setting are great. There was no breakfast but there was a fully functional kitchen complete with oatmeal milk as well as normal. That's really thoughtful and not often experienced elsewhere. The guests in the bunkhouse are not permitted to use the restaurant in the posh hotel part of the building... The delicious smells from the kitchen made that seem a great shame.
- Danny (9/5): A life saver for the backpacker at a price you can't turn down - I was able to book the room withing 10 minutes of arriving late that evening, the host came to greet me, they had very cheap food and drink available for me to buy and cook which was so thoughtful to have. I was the only one booked so I had the whole top floor to myself (kitchen, bedroom, lounge area and bathroom). The place has a lot of history which is worth reading about, a beautiful very large garden at the back with fruit, there were facilities for the backpacker in the lounge with pens, stationary, a stamp pad to mark your journey, a nice touch. There was a spare container to place some of the cooked food and take with me (very useful at the time). The beds were comfy, natural light in the morning, good wi-fi speed etc. It was just what I needed when in the middle of nowhere with the sun going down and nowhere to camp - life savers, and the value for money is incredible. Highly recommend! Nothing not to like!
- Jacqueline (7/5): Good -
- Dave (10/5): Excellent, beat expectations. - Excellent value for money. People very friendly and extremely helpful. Room very clean and a full range of facilities available. A beautiful part of Somerset well worth visiting

- Tayla (8/5): Very good -
- Jenny (9/5): Clean, comfortable and private accommodation. A real retreat surrounded by beautiful nature. - The location is stunningly beautiful and very peaceful.
- Grahm (10/5): Enjoyed my stay. It would have been nice if could have had option of a cooked breakfast. - It was a lovely place .
- Naomi’ (10/5): Stunning beautiful place - Absolutely stunning , fantastic location , so friendly , bunkhouse is a great place , have everything you need , great price , just beautiful We liked everything, nothing not to like
- Harris (9/5): A surprisingly good place to stay when it’s listed as a bunkhouse- really comfortable - We liked the location for the Cost Path and the staff were v friendly and helpful
