- Sharon (9/5): Tranquilo was a comfortable and cosy place to stay for a relaxing weekend exploring the local area - Tastefully decorated, comfy bed, new bathroom and cosy lounge room with gas fireplace
- David And Gaye (10/5): Exquisite - The property is divine. Absolutely luxury.
It is well equipped, very comfortable and super quiet.
It has a large bathroom, perfect dining area, lux lounge room two TVs and amazing bed. It was so much bigger than we imagined from the photos.
The gardens were superb. Access was easy. Communication was fast and recommendations were helpful.
We cannot fault this property.
We also left some items behind and the owner was kind enough to call us immediately and take the items to the post office on the same day. Nothing.
- Pam (9/5): A peaceful haven in Daylesford - A boutique, small home in the quiet area of Daylesford, but only a 10-minute walk to the center of the town. Cleanliness and facilities exceptional. Large bathroom with shower and bath. Very tastefully furnished, with quality linen, crockery and glassware. Lovely garden setting at front entrance. Great heating and cooling if required. Kitchenette a little small for longer stays.
- Keith (7/5): Comfortable, private and well placed. - It’s seclusion and privacy. The smart tv in the lounge room was hard to operate.
- Renee (10/5): -
- Lucy (10/5): The most perfect place in Daylesford, we’ll be back! - Absolutely stunning place! Better than the photos. Had everything you needed and has been designed in the most lux way. Felt so so luxurious. Eveything was 10/10. That bathroom is to die for!!!! And the bay window in the bedroom with the sheer curtains…. It was just the most stunning property. The front room was stunning…. I cannot rave enough about this place. Will definitely make this our new place to stay in Daylesford. Amazing.

- Erroleen (10/5): Highly recommended for a mini getaway! - This was such a quaint and charming place. It’s nicely decorated and the bed and couch are super comfortable. It’s a small kitchenette with no stove but with what we needed, ie. coffee machine, kettle, toaster, microwave. The bathroom facilities were fabulous and the heating and cooling were what you’d need to make your stay comfortable in all climates. The location was close enough for a nice stroll to shops and cafes. No complaints
- Ian (9/5): Superb -
- Mrmattmp (10/5): Beautiful accommodation and great location can highly recommend! - Love the location of the accommodation and so close to the shops that you could walk to the shops. The accommodation is clean and the hosts are so lovely. Would definitely stay here again when I am in Daylesford Loved everything about this accommodation!
- Kerri (10/5): Exceptional - Everything, spacious yet cosy. Easy to stay, hard to leave
- Glen (10/5): Beautifully present home stay with all the comforts in a great location. - Beautifully presented and styled cottage, with great facilitates and amenities. The gas fire provided wonderful ambiance and warmth. The location is an easy stroll to the main street of Daylesford - which provided ample dining and shopping options. Highly recommend the woodfired pizzas (the pear, prosciutto and rocket was10/10) at the Daylesford Hotel and the fine dining experience at The Boathouse was exceptional. The Convent Museum on Wombat Hill is also worth a look. Everything was great, but maybe a mattress topper would have made the bed just a little more luxurious.
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional - It was comfortable and beautifully decorated . Close enough to the town but very quiet.
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Denis (10/5): Luxury accommodations in a small quiet location. - Excellent quality of the facility Nothing
- Martin (9/5): Superb - Chairs a little low and couch hard.
- Anne (10/5): Neat, clean house within walking distance to the main shopping strip in Daylesford. Rebecca and David were wonderful hos - Neat, clean house within walking distance to the main shopping strip in Daylesford. It was great.
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kathryn (8/5): Very pleasant with a couple of hiccups. - The house was lovely. Beautifully furnished and well equipped. It was very comfortable and the bathroom was amazing. I would have loved to have taken the bathroom home with me. There was a half drunk plastic cup of water on the sink. One of the teacups had not been washed or washed properly as it had a dirty rim sound the inside. I put my hand in the bin to place an empty toilet roll in the bin and a used bandaid stuck to my hand.
- Kate (9/5): Lovely - The property had everything we needed. It was beautifully decorated, inviting, and immaculately clean. The gas log fire made the place warm and cosy. A softer couch would make this place superb.
- Melissa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sophia (8/5): Very good -
- Rebecca (9/5): As the name suggests, a perfect tranquil house for a couple getaway! - Lovely tastefully decorated cottage. Fire and heating was on when we arrived. Easy to follow instructions. A sanctuary to rest and relax. Huge bathroom with toiletries to use. Kitchen well appointed for our needs. Parking bay was a little small but you could park on the street in front.
- Narelle (9/5): Perfect location for a couples weekend away, beautifully decorated, cosy and convenient. - Quiet location, easy walk into town, the rooms were spacious and the heating was effective in all rooms.
Very helpful host recommendations for local eateries, breakfast at Pancho was delicious as was dinner at Farmers Arms. Beautifully presented and extra touches such as the coffee station, cold water in the fridge, umbrellas, coat stand at entry, extra keys and speaker in living room were all appreciated. I had looked at the photos and had wrongly assumed the fire place was real. Perhaps if I had taken the time to fully read the details I would have realised it is a gas fireplace. Still provided a comfy feeling and warmth.
It has been mentioned before, the couch in the living space looks beautiful and fits in with the decor but is uncomfortable which was disappointing.
- Linda (10/5): Very comfortable stay in Daylesford - The unit was part of a larger house but no-one else staying in the locked-off section behind. It was larger than expected and had a living room, hallway, bedroom, kitchenette and very large bathroom. Lovely original fittings and art deco windows, and modern furnishings with great attention to detail. Very efficient gas heater in the living area, and north facing for lots of natural sunshine. Perfect for a couple.
- Kerrie (10/5): A very enjoyable stay in fabulous accommodation. - Location was very good in a quiet street close to restaurants and shopping in the Main Street. The accommodation was spacious with beautifully updated kitchen and bathroom and not wanting for anything. Comfortable bed, and furnishings. Nothing
- Bronwyn (10/5): Trainquilo is a beautiful property that exceeded our expectations. - It was a beautiful property that was bigger than what we expected. The heating, lighting and mood was great. The couch in the lounge wasn't the most comfortable but the arm chairs were ok
- Lisa (10/5): Tranquilo, a stunning nod to the art deco era with super modern comfort and features. - Peaceful and quiet location. House is stunning, with everything you need, king sized bed, plus a huge bath. Very cosy and warm inside. A relaxing retreat, close to town, whilst we enjoyed stunning Daylesford and surrounds. Our thoughtful host answered our questions and provided terrific local dining recommendations. We so enjoyed our stay at Tranquilo in such a beautiful art deco haven. We hope to return one day.
- Gay (7/5): We wanted to love this place but were so irritated by yy the - Breakfast was not expected.
Decor was elegant. Cottage was attractive externally. Location was good. Despite the assurance that there was a 'fully equipped kitchenette' there was no such thing evident; nowhere to cook. In one room, between the bedroom and the bathroom, there was a smallish room which contained a waist high open shelving unit. On the bench top there was a microwave oven, kettle, coffee maker and milk frother (I think). The kettle could only be filled from the tap of the bath in the adjacent bathroom. Under the bench top there was a toaster, bar fridge and some kitchen essentials. There was no sign of a hotplate or sink, which we consider to be essential elements of a kitchenette.
Also in this room there was a small table and two dining chairs. Perfectly adequate.
The most surprising inclusion was an open metal unit with hanging and shelving space, a somewhat bizarre addition to a space apparently devoted to food preparation or eating.
Conversely, there is no sign of a 'wardrobe or closet' in the bedroom, or the 'dressing room' listed under the amenities.
Neither is there an 'ensuite' bathroom'. There is certainly a vast modern bathroom, but one has to walk from the bedroom through the 'kitchenette' to enter it, ergo it is not 'ensuite'. The shower area is very dark and, although one is appreciative of the toiletries, it would seem sensible to present them in non-breakable containers.
Power points in the bathroom would also be useful.
No sign of the advertised 'balcony' or a 'terrace', just a front porch/verandah. Comfortable chairs and a little table, hardly 'outdoor furniture' which implies much more.
- Kellee (9/5): Superb - Beautiful decor, very comfy kind size bed, excellent location. No sink in the kitchenette, coffee machine needs a flush.
- Jane (9/5): Charming, quiet and private - Very well presented, comfy bed, amazing bathroom, quiet too Had everything we needed
- Ellen (10/5): The experience was nothing short of delightful. A beautiful little home that is welcoming, super comfortable and in a g - This place is fantastic - cosy, clean and absolutely beautiful. The attention to detail in the decor and amenities made the experience even more enjoyable. A large bedroom with a very comfortable bed, a huge bath/bathroom and TVs in both the living space and bedroom - it felt very luxurious! The location was also perfect, providing a peaceful retreat while still being very close to the centre of Daylesford and its many attractions. Hosts were delightful do deal with. Highly recommend for a relaxing couples getaway.
- Gillian (8/5): Very good - The only TV was in the bedroom which did not suit our requirements.
I deliberately choose a one bedroom accommodation so I can get away from TV if my husband wants to watch late TV.
Internet also was unavailable the second night of our stay. Rebecca did try to rectify internet to no avail.
- Melisa (10/5): A quant little cottage in the heart of Daylesford , unique home that’s warm and inviting. - A beautiful well laid out little piece of paradise.
The comfort of the spacious bed watching Tv and the wow what a wonderful bathing tub so relaxing. If I had to ask you to add anything, it would be a tv in the living room . And a comfortable luxury bath pillow would’ve sealed the deal .
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good - The bathroom facilities were exceptional, with the layout of the home very cosy. Communication with the property owners was seamless. No working wi-fi during the stay was a quite a bit of a dampener. Did not think much of it until I realised that there was an extremely poor mobile data connection inside, which meant my phone was predominantly on SOS Only, and required me to step outside for connection. Everything was otherwise perfect, however this was a significant issue.
- Elis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicholas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Erin (9/5): It was really lovely. - The facilities were excellent. Everything was great. It would be good if there was a bottle opener as well.
- Paul (10/5): Great for a quiet getaway - The great location to town Nil
- Tom (9/5): Beautiful and cozy with plenty of space. - Beautiful and cozy with plenty of space. Bathroom flaw is icy. Watch out for the ironing board, use it with a towel covering to avoid a zigzag grid imprint.
- Cross (9/5): Great stay, good value. - Quiet street. Close to town. Comfy 1 bedroom. Beautifully appointed. I am being picky here. TV could have been a little to the right. Slightly hidden behind door when open.
The lights beside bed, I hit them with my head a couple of times looking for things hidden behind the chair. Maybe I am just clumsy!
It must be good if that's all I have to complain about.
- Julia (9/5): Superb - Beautiful little house in the heart of Daylesford. The bathroom has a big bath tub and shower and the living room has a lovely fire place.
- Barb (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ashton (9/5): Warm, welcoming, would highly recommend - Very clean, great location close to the centre of town. Very quiet and really beautifully appointed. The bed was really comfortable and the bath was spectacular. Lovely cosy and warm. Would absolutely stay there again There was nothing I didn’t like
- Anjila (9/5): I would totally re book if I was staying overnight again. - Location was perfect as everything was walking distance (town centre). Very clean and tidy. Would highly recommend the place.
- Gregory (10/5): So relaxing and comfortable - Beautifully presented, excellent location, huge bathroom with amazing bath
- Roman (10/5): Fantastic getaway in outstanding luxury interiors! - Outstanding interior design with beautiful touches that create a true luxury getaway experience. The place had everything we could possibly need. The fireplace is fantastic! Plus super convenient location close to everything but on a quite road with no traffic
- Sophie (8/5): Lovely stay in cosy cottage - Cosy but spacious. Great location and amenities. The bathroom was very cold
