- Anthony (5/5): very overpriced for what was provided, needs a lot of updating. - landlady was welcoming, offered us choice of rooms. chose room with a bath rather than just shower. was clean. room was really outdated. furniture looked like it came out of a film star's dressing room, all fancy mirrored furniture with a clear plastic chair and no decent wardrobe. as the property did not do breakfast, would have liked to see some local menu's for restaurants or takeways.
- Lilian (8/5): -
- Nigel (9/5): -

- helen (10/5): - Staff amazing Debbie very welcoming
- Nevillene (8/5): Great Location - Debbie was lovely. Room clean. Coffee and tea making facility available and a tv that worked! Comfortable bed. Everything you need for the bathroom.
Great location as only a 5 minute walk for us to the town centre. There is limited parking on site. Fortunately, we were able to find one available spot on the main road so that helped.
Our room was at the front of the building which meant we could hear the constant flow of traffic but as we were only staying for one night it wasn't a big problem.
The shower head over the bath was small. Therefore the water flow wasn't very strong.
- Pete (10/5): -
- Ethel (9/5): Lovely owner. - Lovely owner of premises. Very comfortable guest house. Would go again. Nothing.

- Anita (8/5): Great value for a short stay in Skipton - Great value for money.
Warm welcome from the lovely owner, Debbie.
Excellent location, five - ten minutes walk from the centre of Skipton and other attractions such as the castle and canal.
Plenty of free on-street parking right outside the property.
Nice clean, warm, double room on the top floor (stairs not a problem for us but check with the property when booking if you'd struggle). Room had everything we needed for a short stay. Downside of being so close to town was the location on a busy main road so there was some traffic noise but fairly quiet midnight - 6am so we still slept okay.
- Sean (8/5): -
- William (9/5): Fabulous - We have stayed here before it鈥檚 clean has comfortable bed it鈥檚 near the town centre it all that we wanted The pillows 馃ぃ but wherever l stay l need to take my own pillow

- Sally (8/5): A lovely stay at Highfield Guesthouse - A very comfortable stay with a lovely friendly welcome from Debbie the owner. The guesthouse is ideally situated, just a 5 min walk from the train station and a short walk into town with lots of amenities close by. Perfect for exploring Skipton. The room was a good size, warm with a very comfortable bed. A kettle with tea, coffee & complimentary biscuits were provided and fresh towels each day which was a nice touch. Although it's on a main road you are not disturbed by noise from the traffic at all. I would definitely stay again when I next visit Skipton and would highly recommend to others. The en suite was a bit of a squeeze

- Debbie (10/5): Would definitely recommend the property and Skipton. - Room was lovely, location was perfect. Debbie was really friendly and recommended some places to eat, which turned out to be excellent recommendations. Nothing.
- Y C (9/5): Old but good - The hotel is conveniently located beside Tesco and within a short walk to town. It was quiet and we slept well. It is a little old but well kept and has enough facilites for a short stay. There was a generous supply of beverages and toiletries. The owners are really helpful and friendly.
- Craig (10/5): - Location amazing. Rooms nice and tidy, plenty of biscuits and water provided. New towles esch day. Debbie was helpful and accommodating. No full English Breakfast.
- Katie (8/5): - Great location. Good sized room. Nice decor. The biggest tea cups and wine glasses I鈥檝e ever seen! Owner really lovely and made sure our bikes were safely stored. Carpet ready for upgrade.
- tom (10/5): - Location Parking area
- Carola (8/5): Overall a pleasant stay. - Location To much fancy furniture. Money would be better spent on upgrading the bathroom
- David (5/5): -
- Jodi (10/5): Lovely place to stay, would absolutely come back - super comfortable, safe, welcoming - I had the most perfect stay at Highfield Guest House! Debbie is a wonderful and kind host who was extremely helpful and clearly takes wonderful care of her establishment. Some highlights were the great location, the bed being one of the comfiest and coziest I鈥檝e ever slept in, I had a beautiful view of the Yorkshire dales, everything was spotlessly clean, and I also felt very safe as a female solo traveller. I would love to come back and stay again and highly recommend this lovely hotel to anyone looking for a great stay in Skipton!
- Caroline (7/5): -
- Wendy (9/5): Excellent guesthouse. Definitely recommended - Lovely welcome from Debbie. The room was very clean and well presented. Comfortable and well equipped. Convenient location for exploring the town and parking available. Due to the location there was some traffic noise during the night.
- Daniella (10/5): Beautiful Central Stay in Skipton - Stayed over the August bank holiday and a had a lovely time. Centrally located to Skipton within a 5 minute walk into town. There鈥檚 a small car park on the side which we was able to use throughout the stay. There鈥檚 also free / non permit street parking nearby.
The bedroom provided a comfortable stay with beautiful decor and tea and coffee facilities are provided within the room. Perfect to relax in after a long day exploring with a proper Yorkshire tea and biscuit.
The host (Debbie) was very welcoming and recommended plenty of options to try for a bite to eat! They are no longer serving breakfast but there鈥檚 dozens of places within the town to choose from which suited us.
Would definitely stay here again when visiting Skipton.
- Philip (9/5): Lovely short stay at the Highfield - Very comfortable night, nicely decorated room, refreshing shower.
The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Couldn鈥檛 really find any faults, would definitely recommend.
- Greg (10/5): -
- Matthew (7/5): -
- Sandra (10/5): Very comfortable and clean - Very clean and close to the action
The hostess was lovely and very helpful told us about Some of the history and where to visit and where to get breakfast ect As I have a back problem the stairs to our room was a bit of a challenge
- Gill (10/5): Lovely work trip to Skipton. Nice hosts. - Clean & tidy and close to centre Nothing
- Sharon (5/5): - It was close walk to centre, host very nice. Comfy bed. It was very chaotic in the room too much, crowded and packed. Sink was in room with a toilet and shower in tiny narrow dark area off the room. Couldn't use the mugs, shaped like sheep so dirt in bubbles. Definitely not as photoed suggests on site.
- Martin (2/5): -
- Peta (4/5): Highfield guesthouse Skipton - Clean premises friendly landlady Room was tiny, and for the price breakfast should have been included
- Barbara (9/5): A good choice for a short break away. - Property was exceptionally clean. The hostess was very friendly and helpful. Kindly provided a fan to help us cope with very hot nights. They do not serve breakfast at this property. Property was a little further out of the town centre than we expected. My other half has some mobility problems so found it a little difficult. It would be no problem for anyone of average fitness. Only 5-10 mins walk.
- Eva Maria (10/5): Highly recommended for a welcoming place to stay - Very welcoming and homely. The hostess is very friendly and helpful. Maybe the taps and shower could do with an update. But that didn鈥檛 matter too much.
- Graham (10/5): The guest house owner was very friendly and helpful with information about the local area. - The property was in the ideal place. N/A
- Cropper (5/5): Value for money okay, they recommended excellent cafe for breakfast - Location excellent, we were supposed to travel by train but because of the weather (storm) we drove.
Hostess very pleasant and informative.
Appearance of the hotel from the outside, sorry to say but a bit tired, but in a good location to access the amenities. Bathroom door could do with a handle, because when you shut it difficult to open from the inside. Petty but the door could do with a coat of gloss white.
- Susan (9/5): - Great location and parking
Very friendly welcoming host
Clean comfortable room Nothing
- Patrick (8/5): -
- Maria (10/5): - Lovely guest house so close to town centre walking distance away.
Very comfortable and little added touches made it even better.
Owner was very friendly and welcoming.
Will definitely stay here again. Nothing
