• Karl (10/5): - Pasquale the owner is exceptional and wants your stay to be special . He looked after us with any request. We arrived after midnight and he was there to greet us .His English both spoken and written is perfect. The apartment is very comfortable and quiet even though you are right in the old part of the city. Bedding and beds are great quality .The shower is very spacious and excellent pressure . Everything in the description on Booking.com is absolutely correct..if not better . We will definitely book again if we are coming to Bari !! Absolutely nothing to complain about.

Nespresso coffee maker with plenty of capsules, selection of teas to get you started. Well equipped kitchen if for some reason you feel like cooking (We didn't ) :-) Roof terrace with a great view of the cathedral, especially at night. Friendly and very helpful host goes out his way to keep you happy. Pasquale kept our bags after the checkout, met us later and walked to the taxi that he booked for us. Seriously positive experience all round. nothing really

Pasquale was the epitome of the perfect host and even insisted on carrying our bags up to our room and then down again on departure. The room is large clean bright and spacious and is located in the old city close to everything you need. I would absolutely stay here again if ever in Bari

He met us at the apartment, carried our suitcases up the stairs, drove us to the station, dropped off a duvet as the weather had turned, provided a new set of fluffy towels midway during our stay , and when my husband got sick Pasquale even went to the pharmacy to buy antibiotics for him. The apartment is huge! And beautifully designed and renovated. Every tiny thing has been thought of , and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location in the old town is wonderful. Cannot recommend this accommodation highly enough Nothing - it was absolutely perfect

The apartment is spacious and very comfortable. It has everything you need and more. The location is perfect both for the historical centre and the new town. Although the area is touristy, the apartment is super quiet due to it being soundproof. The ceilings are high and we didn’t need the air conditioning despite the outside temperature being hot. Right next to the building is a lovely bar Fish O’Clock (great cocktails and food) and a shop selling ceramics and gifts from local artists. The host, Pasquale, was exceptional. We loved everything about the apartment.

• James (10/5): Spacious and spotless with a wonderful host. - In a newly renovated building, the apartment is immaculate with 2 large rooms and small balcony. Well appointed for cooking and serving meals. The rooftop lounge is wonderful in the early evening as the setting sun reflects off the church bell tower. All the windows have screens for total comfort. The host, Pasquale, met us at a parking lot and drove us close to the apartment. The apartment is in a great location in the old town and Pasquale made it extremely easy to arrive, and arranged transportation to the airport at check out. Exceedingly helpful and cordial host. Nothing.

• Elif Nur (10/5): wonderful! - We had a wonderful stay. The apartment was incredibly comfortable and in a perfect location, just a short walk from the city center. It was so convenient with our baby, we could easily return home during the day and then go back out to explore the city again. The hosts are exceptionally kind, warm, and thoughtful people. The apartment had everything we needed, even baby shampoo. Out of all the places we’ve booked through Booking so far, this has been the best. The decoration and the terrace view were truly amazing. • Sylvia (10/5): Wunderschönes Apartment zum Erkunden von Bari - Das Apartment ist großzügig, sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und neu. Wir haben uns ausgesprochen wohl dort gefühlt! Wunderschön ist die Dachterrasse, die zur Nutzung beider Apartments im Palazzo Boccapianola zur Verfügung steht. Hier hat man einen traumhaften Blick auf die Kathedrale. Das Apartment ist in der Altstadt und vom Bahnhof immer die Fußgängerzone entlang in ca. 15 Minuten zu erreichen. Ein sehr guter Supermarkt ist in 3 Minuten zu erreichen. Die Lage ist somit top! Der Gastgeber Pasquale ist super hilfsbereit und gastfreundlich und steht für Fragen immer zur Verfügung. Als wir das Auto nach unserem Aufenthalt in Bari vom Flughafen abgeholt haben, hat er uns das Gepäck zu einem Parkplatz in der Altstadt gebracht, so mussten wir es nicht zum Bahnhof schleppen. Herzlichen Dank dafür nochmal!!! Wir würden das Apartment jederzeit wieder buchen und können es für einen Aufenthalt in Bari unbedingt empfehlen!

Centrum starego miasta - wszędzie blisko, knajpki, zabytki, sklepy, czuć atmosferę miejsca. Sypialnia jest od strony "zaplecza" i nie słychać odgłosów ulicy. Przemiły właściciel - na powitanie butelka wina, mogliśmy wcześniej się zalogować do pokoju. -

The appartment itself is beautiful and spacious equipped with everything you need. Pasquale is such a great host that gave us a very warm welcome and was always reachable for any questions. The apartment was beautifully renovated and perfect for our 3 day stay. The bed settee was very comfortable. The terrace upstairs was a lovely space to sit and relax.

The apartment was large, very clean with all facilities. Pasquale was a fantastic host, very responsive and helpful. He helped us with the bags up and down the stairs to the apartment and also drove us to the meeting point for our taxi to the next location. Highly recommend this place Nothing to not like. The stairs to the second floor are a little steep so if someone has mobility issues, pls keep that in mind. Overall great experience.

It has a fabulous terrace with tables and chairs and sofas to relax on. It was easy to walk to from Bari Central Station in about 20 minutes. The property is situated in Bari old town (Bari Vecchia) which has a labyrinth of streets and is full of history. Pasquale the owner of the apartment was extremely helpful in answering any queries we had. He was very kind and generous with his time. We really appreciated his kindness in taking us to the airport in the “wee small hours” of the morning. Which was “above and beyond”. We hope to return again. • Oleg (10/5): It's definitely one of the best options to stay in Bari. - It's been our 2nd stay at Palazzo Boccapianola, and we liked everything. It's possibly on of the best options to stay in Bari. The rooms are clean and modern, and the host is supper supportive. The only disadvantage is that due to the infrastructure of the old city the water presser in the shower is very inconsistent – I'm not sure if anything can be done about it on the building level. It's a minor thing, though. Next time in Bari we'll book again. All good.
• Deirdre (9/5): Calm retreat in heart of old city. - Great location in the old city, high ceilings, big rooms, modern interiors with good shower and kitchen facilities. A real bonus is the terrace area with a great view of the cathedral and sea breeze. Close to supermarkets, fish o’clock for sandwiches, Pizzeria de Cosimo was 1 min walk away for pizza on the square or takeaway. La cantina dello zio and r45 restaurants were approx 6 mins walk. Bakery less than 1 min walk away. Very close to the cathedral, basilica san Nicholas, castle, museums, sea front. Steep, narrow steps up to the 2nd floor and roof terrace. Pasquale kindly offered to help with luggage up and down to the apartment. The steps were fine when not carrying bags and well lite for nighttime with strong hand rails. Modern tiling so not uneven under foot. Just took a bit of getting used too. To be expected in old buildings.

Its location in the heart of the Old Town made it easy to explore Bari’s beautiful streets, shops, and historic sites. What made our stay truly unforgettable was our host, Pasquale. He is one of the kindest, most genuine people we’ve ever met while traveling. When my husband suffered a pinched nerve, Pasquale didn’t hesitate—he personally drove him to the pharmacy and even contacted a nurse to come the next day to administer an injection. His care, compassion, and willingness to go above and beyond for us was incredibly touching. Pasquale made us feel not just like guests, but like family. We are deeply grateful to him and cannot thank him enough. If you're visiting Bari, don’t hesitate—this is the place to stay. We would return in a heartbeat. Loved everything
• Diane (10/5): Pasquale, the Ultimate Gentleman - Our stay at Palazzo Boccapianola far exceeded any expectations we had. Of the 5 places we stayed in Italy, this was by far the most beautiful, clean, and completely renovated accommodation. Our host Pasquale is the most kind-hearted man. I happen to lose my phone on a bus coming back to Bari from Alberobello. When I asked him for the phone number for the bus depot so I could call them, he right away said that he would contact them and try to see if he could find it. Within an hour he phoned me to tell me my phone had been found. He then said he would drive to the bus station himself to retrieve my phone as we did not have a car. When he brought it back, I tried to thank him with a cash reward, and he refused it, saying it was his pleasure that he could help. I was overwhelmed by all that he did. He also would not let me carry my suitcase up or down the stairs. He is the ultimate gentleman. Since I live in Canada, I plan on sending him a few canadian goodies when I get home. Pasquale, once again, gracie mile!
• Carl (10/5): Fabulous apartment to stay in Old Town Bari - Amazing location to stay in Bari, situated in the old town. We were met by Pasquale the owner who couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, lovely guy. Speaks pretty good English. The apartment is lovely, light and airy and very well decorated. Bathroom is to die for with an amazing bathroom/shower - luxury toiletries are provided The lounge is comfy with a large sofa - no real cooking facilities...but why would you cook, with so many restaurants! There is a small minibar for drinks, etc. Bedroom is large with a very comfortable bed and pillows. There is also a large private roof terrace that we used, amazing views of the city rooftops. Now this is an Italian city so don't expect complete silence..though the windows are incredible at reducing the street sounds...but that's part of the charm of the Old Town. But from 11.30 to 8am, it is quiet. For great coffee and pastries in the morning, there is a lovely cafe on the corner as you walk from the apartment to the main street. For lunch we highly recommend one of the restaurants on the main street, walking towards the sea, called Osteria Spravento - food is great as are the staff/owners. For a special dinner, we recommend Ristorante Biancofiore - fine but relaxed dining in a beautiful restaurant just further on from the Osteria. Things to do are a day trip to Alberobello and Matera (go on a coach tour), as well as taking the train to Polignano A Mare to do the cave visits by boat - spectacular and great fun. Any of the tour operators there are good, we went with Escursioni Sofia who were excellent. Don't be afraid to use the trains, they are cheap and easy to use..and the main Bari station is a 15 min walk from the apartment. But grazie mille Pasquale for making our stay in Bari so fantastic. With regard to the apartment, there was nothing we didn't like. Weather was a bit changeable but it was mid May so I guess expected. One thing that was annoying were the street traders who do bug you to buy things when you are eating....but a polite 'No, Grazie' and then ignore them usually does the trick. Don't enter into conversation with them and don't accept anything, you will be expected pay. Can't recommend the Nicolaus Il Bistrot, which is next to the Osteria Spravento. Food is average, they give you plastic glasses (huh?!) and you eat off cardboard plates...I kid you not.

• Koen (10/5): Truly amazing stay - five stars! - We have travelled a lot in our lives, but Palazzo Bocccapianola stands right there at the top of any location we have visited. 1. About the location of the property: it is very centrally located in the old town of Bari - in one of those beautiful small streets, 100 m from the cathedral, 300 m from St. Nicholas cathedral and close also to the best focaccia places in Italy. It is also 50 m from the central street of Bari - Victor Emmanuele II. 2. About the property itself: most important is that it is very clear and also spacious for the old city centre. The stairs to go up is a little narrow but very clean, new and not a problem. The property was large enough for 4 persons, with clean shower, clean sheets & towels, very clean cutlery/plates, etc. - and a small stove and facilities to cook. 3. About the host: Mr. Pasquale is truly an amazing host. He was so incredibly attentive (without being intrusive) that we almost did not know how to react. He waited for us, keeping a parking place for us when we arrived, gave us the keys, showed the apartment, and was there on Christmas Day (25/12) to help us with our luggage, when we left. We also had a small tooth infection emergency on the day of Christmas Eve (24/12) and he not only called the emergency dentist, he drove us there, waited, took us to the pharmacy for the antibiotics, and drove us back home. If an 11 could be given, we would have! Truly amazing! We will for sure come back here! Nothing really. Everything was great. The only challenge in the old town of Bari is parking, but that is a challenge for the city of Bari in general. Pasquale, our host, helped us in such a way that we did not really need it

Just inside the old town of Bari and surrounded by restaurants, cafes and local shops. A few minutes walk to the new town and a 10 minute walk to and from the station. Our host, Pasquale welcomed us personally which is a really nice touch. The roof top terrace is bonus with a lovely view across the roof tops of the old town. Can highly recommend. Nothing, everything was perfect for our stay.

The owner was very nice and obliging. I hope I will go back there! There was no iron, but the owner got one on Sunday late afternoon, and in Bari that's quite a feat!

• Oleg (10/5): A perfectly located, spacious and nicely renovated apartment - We couldn't have wished for a better place to stay in Bari. It's perfectly located in the quieter old town but just one hundred meters from the busy Murat area. The building is freshly renovated, and the apartment looks new and nicely designed. There is air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a balcony, and even access to the rooftop terrace. The host was very nice and supportive during our stay. Next time we're in Bari, we'll definitely try to stay here again. We liked everything, so I don't really know what to suggest. Perhaps, a towel dryer rack in the bathroom would be nice to have.

• Krzysztof (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment is perfectly located right in the middle of a wonderful maze of alleys of the Old Town of Bari. Nearby there is a fantastic bakery with traditional focaccia and a well supplied grocery. About 25 minute walk to the beach or you can take a direct bus. Also in 15 minutes you can get to the train station, from which you can comfortably reach other beautiful sites on the coast. The apartment was in perfect condition, very clean, premium standard. Comfortable bed and sofa. A small kitchenette is sufficient to prepare a breakfast or a quick lunch. Finally, the hosts are wonderful, very friendly and helpful.
