Guest Reviews
- Pearce (10/5): - The cottage was just beautiful. The moment we walked in the door we wanted to stay for a month. Stacey and Michael were the perfect host's. Was warm and cosy. Felt like home. Thankyou very much we had a đŞ magic stay. Cheers from. Cheryal and John. Hope to be back next winter âď¸âď¸.. Absolutely nothing
- Elizabeth (9/5): Enjoyed it immensely. The breakfast provided is a lovely touch - Tucked away in a quiet spot off the beaten track. Spacious, well equipped and comfortable I reluctantly say that the owners are quite close in proximity but they were nowhere to be seen and we felt the Barnhouse a very private location
- Kathryn (8/5): Very good - All good Heating other than fire as backup
- Helen (10/5): Cosy, comfortable and lots of entertainment. - Breakfast provisions were provided and much appreciated. The fire was going on our arrival which provided a warm welcome. Tumbledown Barn had everything we needed to feel at home and rested. We loved our time with the dog who was very playful and full of energy. We were sorry to have to leave without washing up because of the water problem and hope that has been repaired. Thank you for welcoming us to your home. NothingâŚwe loved this property. We loved the rural setting and the entrance to the property with all of the nuts under the trees.
- Yoshiko (9/5): Superb -
- Keir (10/5): It was a lovely place to stay over for the night. - It was very comfortable and the hosts had provided not only tea and coffee facilities, but eggs, fresh bread, milk, muesli and apples. A lovely touch. Nothing
- Nicole (10/5): Cute little farm stay in the hills with some lovey touches. - There were so many lovey touches, fresh farm eggs, fresh butter, a loaf of freshly baked bread, jam and oats all on arrival.
The fire place was all staked ready to be lit.
- Bruce (9/5): A great find and relaxing place from which to explore the Launceston area - This is a hidden gem. The hosts left a generous breakfast assortment including a fresh sourdough loaf, butter and a dozen or so fresh laid eggs laid in the henhouse not 10 metres away. Everything we needed for our stay was provided and the lovely touch on arrival was the owners iPod playing nice non intrusive music to welcome us. On the approach out from Lilydale, which involved going past some really tumbledown barns and farm buildings, I began to have second thoughts about what weâd booked but neednât have worried. The property is a great place to stay and from which to explore the whole area. Nothing
- Jonathan (10/5): Lovely accommodation in a beautiful environment with tasty breakfast - Lovely location. Very helpful hosts. Gorgeous accommodation. Very welcome tea and breakfast ingredients provided. Thank you. All excellent.
- Vianney (7/5): Good -
- Shana (8/5): Very good -

- Ffion (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alan (9/5): Superb - Lovely location aware from the hustle and bustle in a serene countryside. Breakfast supplies were generous
- Harry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jeanne (10/5): Great Country Stay - We felt so spoiled coming in to a soothing music selection and a wonderful fire crackling awayâ even though we didnât arrive til midnight due to a delayed flight. What a magical place! So thoughtfully renovated and with great pastoral views from every window. We really appreciated the fresh bread! Would love to stay here again! Not a thing.
- Larah (10/5): Love love love - Everything The fry pans need a replacement
- Kathy (10/5): Warm and homely and totally peaceful to unwind and relax - Michael and Stacey made both my sister and I feel welcomed and pampered from the time we walked in the door. Soft music and a lovely fire going .
The lovely touches and the lovely fresh eggs muesli fruit and jam was wonderful
Will most certainly let our family know back in WA what a lovely peaceful stay we had
Thankyou Michael and Stacey
Kathy & Judy Nothing it was wonderful
- Murray (10/5): Exceptional - Comfortable, cosy and warm with wood heater. Beds very comfortable. Breakfast provisions plentiful and yummy. Fresh eggs, sourdough bread, butter, jam, muesli and milk, coffee and tea.
Only a short 5 minute drive into the hamlet of Lilydale and to Lilydale falls.
Stayed 2 nights and left totally relaxed wishing we could stay longer. Well done guys Michael and Stacey you have a great little airbnb! Quiet peaceful setting and beautiful countryside
- Shannen (9/5): Superb -
- Jennie (5/5): Our experience would have been so much better if there was some sort of backup heating. - Spacious living area with comfortable seating. Comfortable beds and private bathroom facilities. Our only problem was the lack of heating. The unit was warm when we arrived but we were unable to keep the fire going. It became evident that the supply of wood was damp, and with no other heating available we froze. Admittedly it was winter in Tasmania but we did expect better. Even an electric blanket would have helped.
- Katrina (9/5): Fabulous farmhouse accommodation which is welcoming and private - Loved the country atmosphere. The cottage was very comfortable with a fire lit and thoughtfully provisioned. The Check-in was smooth. While very happy with the property suggestions for improvements would be ceiling light heating in the bathrooms, electric blankets on the beds and perhaps an oil heater for the bedrooms for Winter.
- Zoe (8/5): Delightful stay - itâs a lovely place to drop out in. - Location and what Michael and Stacey had done to the barn. The fireplace was lit for us and Angus and Julia Stone were playing when we arrived! Wonderful. It is in a lovely spot and the decor was charming. There was some uncleaned trays in the oven that we found when we went to use it.
- Liz (10/5): Peaceful, relaxing...lovely hosts - Breakfast nice, location beautiful and peaceful. High mirror in bathroom (no gpod when you are short ;)) everything lovely
- Julie (9/5): Superb -
- Valerie (9/5): Superb - Peaceful setting and very comfortable accommodation. Great for exploring Launceston and the North East. Generous breakfast basket! The nearby Lilydale Falls was a great place to see beautiful wallabies.
- Reay (8/5): Very good - Good location and well equipped. .Friendly owner. Nice touch with milk, bread, jam, eggs provided. Needs openable windows for ventilation and mesh screens on doors and windows to prevent the mosquito getting in.
- Giuseppe (10/5): Exceptional -
- Annie (10/5): It was a beautiful home away from home, quiet, cosy, comfortable. - We absolutely loved the location and the barn itself. It felt like a home away from home and we wished we could have stayed longer. The added touch of music playing when we arrived was so lovely. The only downer was that sleeping on the second level at night we were bitten by mozzies. But we still loved the experience other then that.
- Kathy (9/5): Superb - Lovely, neat, quiet
