Guest Reviews
- Dawn (10/5): Lovely place to stay and a short walk into Glastonbury - Lovely quiet location, very well equipped and very clean. The host was very friendly on arrival and there was easy parking. Would have preferred plumper pillows.
- Leibfritz (10/5): -
- Amanda (10/5): - Such a warm friendly welcome as always from Andy & Julie, feels like a home from home.
Loved all the treats in the welcome pack & we look forward to returning later on in the year .
.
- Rachel (7/5): Comfortable, friendly stay - Lovely warm welcome and a comfortable bed Too many steps down to the property and the location of the room was rather out of the way. Also, the shower tray would over fill.
- Lynn (10/5): Amazing gorgeous serene bolthole - Great place highly recommend Nothing
- Jane (9/5): -
- Hilary (9/5): - Quite close to the centre. Quiet. Was fine for an overnight stay Shower was slow draining. Quite steep steps down to the room
- Helen (9/5): Enjoyable little hideaway - Was a little hideaway Nothing
- Dawn (10/5): Just beautiful 😍 - Really lovely, fab quiet location just a short walk into town. Lovely friendly and accommodating hosts. Super comfy bed too, slept really well. Nothing at all to fault.
- Daiana Radulescu (10/5): -
- Jan (10/5): A welcoming and perfect stay, with an up to date, clean room with everything you will need. Great tea/coffe facilit - A lovely welcome from owner Andy, a compact yet perfect space with everything you need. A beautiful garden, and a lovely, happy dog! If any mobility issues, the steps down and up might be an issue.
- Ilona (10/5): - Sehr schönes und gemütliches Zimmer. Mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Die Besitzer sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Lage ist perfekt, man ist in 5 Minuten im Städchen.
Ich werde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.
Vielen Dank für den tollen Aufenthalt!

- Scott (8/5): - Location to town was great. Kind host. The shower was having a moment and didn't drain properly so showering was a bit tricky.
- Kat (10/5): -
- Adam (10/5): Home from home - The most loveliest of hosts who greeted us and showed us where everything was
- juliet (10/5): Fabulous and relaxing - Clean.. beautiful views.. lovely comfy bed. Hosts are a delight! Nothing

- Steve (10/5): Easy walking distance to Glastonbury town. - Lovely little room. Lovely welcome pack.
Really handy for walking into Glastonbury. Parking on the road outside was very convenient too.
- julie (10/5): - Lovely hosts. Clean, comfortable and great location. Would definitely recommend Steep steps down to property
- Stripey3 (8/5): Quiet, pivate spot in Glastonbury - Very friendly host, who carried our suitcase up and down the steep stairs.
Attractive decor. Very cosy A little cramped. Floor a bit slopey.
Would have appreciated ventilation in toilet and shower.
- Janez (7/5): -
- Yulia (4/5): Will not come again. - Looks nice, clean. Everything is 7-20 min walking. The owner was nice at the beginning, explained well how to enter and even left light on for me to find it, cause the entrance is on a backyard of their house and I was arriving at night. Lately, they took away my towel, without asking if I want to use it or not. The water in sink and shower was overflowing, the room is very small, toilet and shower is so tiny, that you should be skinny to fit in. Definitely not comfortable for 2 people and for people who need more space. Because the owner organized it in his own house, they are bothered a lot if someone else come with you, cause it’s their territory, so you can not feel free, like in a hotel.
So if you are small and travelling alone and need space to sleep - it’s good.
In other case, choose better.
- Erzsebet (7/5): Good for one night sleep - Double bed ,small but perfect for one night stay Very small shower, the drain worked poorly, and there is no tap to pour water into the kettle
- Jonathan (10/5): Absolutely beautiful - What a perfect little hideaway we where made to feel so welcome and loved the location 🙏🏻🐺🫂❤️
- Joanna (9/5): Fun Base to Explore Glastonbury - Great location with easy parking and close to centre. Cute little private patio for your morning cuppa. Host charming. Steep steps to the hideaway. Not a criticism, but an FYI to the less agile (I'm 60 and they might be a struggle in a few years time!)
- Sally (10/5): -
- Franco (7/5): - Friendly and very helpful owners. Nice welcome basket of goodies. Good value. Lots of steps to reach but we are older couple and owner will assist. Again a little cramped for older , larger people.
- Yizhi (10/5): -
- steven (10/5): -
- Kelly (8/5): Lovely overnight stay in a great location - Perfect location from the main street of Glastonbury and just a 10 minute walk away.
We got a lovely welcome from Andy & Flo
- Attila (10/5): -
- Dr. Markus (10/5): -
- Amanda (10/5): Perfect Hideaway - Perfect hideaway for our weekend in Glastonbury, central location, but still very peaceful. Andy & Julie are the perfect hosts & the welcome pack was a lovely surprise. Coming home !
- Sara (10/5): Soggiorno di qualità, come a casa - Camera bellissima e tranquilla; host premurosi. Nulla
- Katie (9/5): -
- Dennis (6/5): Functional - Location No toilet extraction
- Amy (10/5): Best place to stay in Glastonbury - I cannot say enough good things about this beautiful property. I visit Glastonbury often and honestly think it’s the best place to stay in town. Location is perfect just off the high street with great parking which hard to find in Glastonbury.
It’s absolutely spotless and the hosts leave lovely treats such as cookies and even little bottles of Prosecco.
The views over the Somerset levels are stunning and the resident doggies are so cute and friendly.
Highly recommend if you are looking for peaceful, relaxing retreat in Glastonbury. Nothing
- PAOLA (10/5): Una cittadina misteriosa ed affascinante - I proprietari sono delle persone eccezionali hanno preparato la camera per darti ogni comfort.
Il posto è molto carino e pulito È tutto perfetto
- Jennie (10/5): - Private and quiet. Great location, with only a short walk to the high street. Andy was a perfect host. Would definitely stay again. Thank you for your kindness Andy.
- Deborah (10/5): Lovely short break in quiet and private location near the town centre. - Received a warm welcome from Andy and Flo the dog. It was private and quiet, plus the room had some nice thoughtful touches like a fridge for water and milk with your morning tea or coffee, and some snacks and drinks. It had a private outside area with a view where you could sit in peace and it was a short walk to the high street. Loved it, would recommend. There were steps down to the private entrance which weren’t an issue for us. Nothing that we didn’t like.
- Ian (8/5): Very enjoyable - Great location - 5 minutes walk from the town - everything was clean and fresh
- Theresa (10/5): Lovely hosts, beautiful area, and very comfortable room. - The owners of Glastonbury Hideaway were both lovely! I arrived early in Glastonbury and they messaged me to say that the room was ready. This allowed me to have more time spent without dragging my case around in the heat, so I got to spend more time looking around. , I wasn't around much in the day, due to seeing all the sights of Glastonbury 😁. The room was lovely and clean, and there were supplies left such as fresh milk etc. some wine, and flapjack, which was a lovely gesture. It was very hot during my stay, but the room was lovely and cool. The location was excellent for visiting the town, and the area was very green and peaceful. I did enjoy sitting outside in the little terrace area in the evening, when things had cooled down a bit. I'd really recommend this as a place to stay if you're planning a short break in Glastonbury. I felt very comfortable. I can't forget to mention Flo, who was also very lovely. Thank you very much Andy and Julie! Nothing.
- Bev (8/5): Good value. Good location. - The property was in a good location to break my journey further south. Friendly welcome from owners and dog.
The room was nice and quiet. It was very clean.
It would be good if a basic continental breakfast could be provided. There were very steep steps to the room. They could be an issue for some people.
- Damian (10/5): Exceptional - the hosts were super-helpful.
- John (10/5): Friendly accommodating hosts who allowed an extra hour late check up and made us feel welcome - Nicely tucked away just off of the main drag of the town centre but was quiet so ensured a good nights sleep The stairs leading down to the property may cause issues for some but caused no problems at all for ourselves
- Patricia (10/5): A very well appointed genuine peaceful hideaway only a short step from village centre and attentive hosts offering much - Privacy with generous thoughtful details in comfort of own space and super helpful and friendly hosts Honestly can’t think of a thing. It was exactly what I was looking for
- Kan (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely place with super friendly hosts and a beautiful garden. I had a great time staying here.
- Gail (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely loved our stay in Glastonbury Hideaway! From the very comfortable bed, to all the special little treats left everywhere, even prosecco! Host Andy helped by little Flo were amazing, even brought us a fan to use as weather was incredibly hot. Lovely little private garden of our own was beautiful. Would definitely love to stay again. Thanks so much.

- Martin (9/5): Very peaceful and comfortable stopover. - Lovely people, and a lovely private little space tucked away next to a charming garden. Had everything I needed for a stop over. Location is literally just up the road from the town and a very quick drive to the Tor. It was perfect for my needs.
- Si (8/5): Very good -
- Wayne (8/5): Wonderful time in Glastonbury. - Location was excellent, just a 5 minute walk to the shops and bars
- Julia (10/5): Exceptional -
- E (9/5): Welcoming and Restful! - Warm welcome and lovely touches. Quiet and secluded restful space!
- Laura (10/5): A cosy hideaway after you’ve enjoyed the vibrancy of Glastonbury - Cosy, quiet and fabulous location to explore Glastonbury and the surrounding area. Thoughtful touches and very comfy bed!
- Ilona (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice room with a private bathroom. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Despite the very central location in the city, it was very quiet. I really enjoyed my stay and would love to come back.
- Joseph (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alona (9/5): Lovely place 5 minutes walk to town center - Location was quiet, walking distance to the center, design, the host and their attention to details (tiny fridge with milk, cookies, water etc.). The hosts are super nice people, very helpful and always available. Lighting was also cool. The drainage in the bathroom was a bit slow, but that wouldn't prevent me from staying there again, because all the rest was really perfect!
- Catherine (9/5): We loved it! - The property is compact but clean, modern and the bed is very comfortable. We loved the patio and enjoyed a glass of wine in the sun. Our hosts were wonderful, thank you Andy and Julie for our unexpected anniversary hamper.
- Mary (9/5): Perfect one night stay in Glastonbury - Lovely helpful hosts, cozy room that uses space brilliantly, tiny refrigerator, and nice private terrace.
- Mitchell (8/5): Relaxed, private and friendly. - Property is at the back of a house in the centre of Glastonbury. The location is great. The garden was very nice and secluded. The owner who we spoke with Andy was very kind and friendly and I would stay there again on this basis. Very quiet there and private. And greeted by their lovely Cockapoo. The only issues were that the shower drain couldn’t seem to keep up with the pressure of the shower, so it tended to flood a bit if you put it to max. The bedroom door was also difficult at times to lock and unlock. But easily fixed if taken a look at.
- Amanda (10/5): A hidden gem ! - What a hidden gem ! So cute & cosy , really clean & welcoming in a perfect location.
Andy, our host, was exceptional in assisting us with our stay .
- Rachel (9/5): I felt very welcomed and comfortable. Thank you. - Very friendly and obliging host. So helpful and pleasant. I liked everything.
- Emily (10/5): Exceptional -
- Emma (10/5): Just wonderful! - Everything!
Julie and Andy were wonderful hosts - very welcoming and friendly. The room had everything we needed - it was cosy, clean and comfy. It was full of lovely touches such as a choice of different teas, biscuits and fairy lights. The property is only a 5 minute walk from Glastonbury high street but is so peaceful and quiet. The views from the back garden were beautiful. Andy and Julie gave us some great tips for places to visit and we would love to stay here again in the future, we had a fabulous time and could really relax.
There is also a little patio out of the front to enjoy a morning cup of tea surrounded by beautiful nature. Nothing - everything was perfect.
- Victoria (8/5): Very good - The place is cosy with a well-decorated garden. I appreciate the host who promptly helps me find the place and offer a charger when I forgot mine in London.
- Emma (8/5): Very good -
- Jessica (9/5): Superb - This was a very tastefully decorated, cosy and warm granny flat, attached to the main property. I'm glad it was so warm, with a lovely hot shower, as it is the dead of winter still really. It was in a superb location, with the town, and historical sights a short walk away.
- Sharon (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, near to the high street. Lovely room and hosts. Nothing
- Terri (9/5): Superb -
- Stephen (7/5): Good - The bed was very comfortable. It was very quiet, which I like. I was happy with my stay there. The internet connection wasn't great. It wasn't awful either but it did cut out quite often. Some minor problems with some of the lighting, which the owner tried to fix. This wasn't a major thing.
- Stephanie (9/5): Superb -
- Jennie (7/5): Good -
- Danielareis (10/5): Cosy Glastonbury spot - Perfect stay in Glastonbury. Short walk to the High Street and very cosy. Andy and Julie were very helpful and easy to reach out too.
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional - I have stayed here once before.
Lovely, very welcoming.
Everything is always great.
I love that it feels private and I could meditate, reflect on things.
Thank you. I am very grateful ✨🙏✨ I wish I could have stayed longer
- Rachael (10/5): Exceptional - Our visit coincided with storm Darragh. The host couldn’t have been more thoughtful by providing us with a breakfast hamper as it was feared we wouldn’t be able to leave our room. Very kind and generous.
The facilities were lovely and the location was perfect.
Thank you.
- Ceri (7/5): Mostly good, but badly let down by structural issues. - Clean, comfortable, well located. No ventilation whatsoever to toilet or shower, so the room quickly becomes overly damp, even though I left the window open all day.
Access is via many steep outdoor steps, which are not lit at night.
- Lisa (10/5): perfect - it was a great location for watching the carnival , very quaint and cosy with toilet and basin , separate shower , tea and coffee facilities , Tv , WiFi a little comfy armchair and outside terrace area , Andy was a great host extremely helpful and friendly definitely would go back

- Simon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Olga6913 (7/5): Good - It was a real hideaway - very quiet with everything needed in the room. The room was pretty spacious and the hosts were welcoming and helpful. Thank you! It'a s bit weird when a room does not have a proper window, but since I came only for one night, it wasn't an issue.
- Karen (8/5): Very good -
- Lee (10/5): Just perfect for a night away from Birmingham and Work we love Glastonbury and are well chuffed we found this little gem - Absolutely Perfect, literally a five minute walk from The town lush little spacious room with everything needed for a night or two away. - Alastair (10/5): The location, the owners, their dog and the property 10/10! Amazing! 🎉 - The property was small, cosy and perfect for couples and individuals alike with great facilities. Their garden is lovely and it’s clear how much pride is taken into making this such a lovely stay and experience. Andy made everything easy for us by telling us some better routes to take around Glastonbury which was very kind and helpful! It’s only a 4-5 minute walk into the town! 😁 It was such a lovely welcome and a beautiful location to be situated in. Also Andy and Julie’s dog Flo greeted us and is the cutest thing in the world!
We liked everything about The Hideaway. There was nothing not to like, the property was lovely and the owners Andy, Julie and their cockapoo Flo were so friendly and gave us a warm welcome and informative tour through to the property and what routes and attractions there were close by.
This property is in the most ideal location for getting the best out of your stay in Glastonbury.
