• Jakub (8/5): Very good - Spacious apartment above the restaurant. Big bedroom with minimum furniture and decorations. Nice bathroom with a bit older shower-bath. Great location, 1km to the city center. Free-Parking included.

• Ivan (4/5): March 2025, - Good location, close to the city center. Private parking Although the room is quite large, it is furnished only with the basics – a bed, a wardrobe, and a work desk. There is no TV or fridge, which would have made the stay more comfortable. Not properly clean. Kitchen smell VIBRATION: The biggest issue was with room number 3, where strong vibrations could be felt every time a trolley bus or bus passed by. The vibrations were so intense that the bed shook, and the wardrobe doors moved. I can't upload an audio recording. We informed the host, but he simply said that it was "normal" and that trolleybuses stop running after 9 PM – which was not true, as they continued until well past midnight, significantly disrupting sleep and rest. Unfortunately, we believe the accommodation does not justify the price in relation to the quality. For these reasons, we cannot recommend it.

• Laurent (9/5): Pleasant stay and good location - Very well located, simple, clean, comfortable, parking is included, good value, and very friendly owner. Located right above a Chinese restaurant ran by the same owner. It is actually a bit bigger than pictures make it seem, and has a desk area with kettle and tea cups. Would definitely recommend.

• Maria (8/5): A large room with walking distance to town - The walking distance to the old town area was close enough to be a nice stroll. The room is huge. There is a kettle and mugs but no fridge. It’s great to have a free carpark in the open air car parking behind the hotel. For those reading this post, all ‘admin’ is done with the restaurant staff in the Chinese restaurant in the same building. English is limited. German is fluent. The building shook when cars drove past. A little odd at first. The hot water wasn’t on.

• Brigitte (8/5): Very good - Location, location, location. We were able to walk everywhere. It was difficult to find. Our GPS took us to the address but no one was there and no signs with Gasthaus Sonneblume just Restaurant Sonneblume. We entered the address again and the GPS took us to another village with the same street address. It was beautiful with rolling hills. It wasn't our Gasthaus. Again we entered the address and ended up at the restaurant and this time we were able to check in through the restaurant.

• Karl (9/5): An excellent clean and comfortable place for a short stay close to the old part of the city. - The location is excellent, being within walking distance to the old city centre. It is clean and has comfortable beds. The property is renowned for its oriental cuisine. It also has good traditional Austrian biergarthens a stone's throw away, selling good food and their own brew. Property has its private parking space in case you are driving. The staff were excellent. Nothing to complain about.
• Simon (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location. Could walk everywhere we wanted to go. Clean spacious apartment for us and our two teenagers. Staff were really helpful, let us leave our bags when we arrived before check in time, we borrowed a bottle opener…felt we could ask if needed anything. Was great having a kettle thete. Would have been nice to have a fridge but not a big problem.

• Michael (5/5): Large clean space in a convenient location, but not the easiest to find - The beds were great, large beds, rooms are huge, washer included, and shower was more than adequate. Location is within walking distance of the train station (1/2 mile) and many shops and restaurants (a few blocks). The host was very responsive to email questions, let us drop off suitcases early and moved them to our room for us, which was much appreciated. The rooms were clean, a lot of storage space available, if needed, and locked closet available for added security. It isn't clear that there is a place to stay-- the address is at a Chinese restaurant and we had to track down a restaurant staff, using a translate app to communicate in Chinese that we had a reservation and were trying to check-in. More details about the check-in process (including where to go?) would have been very helpful. The wifi only worked if we stood in the hallway next to the door or in the hall outside of the room. No AC (which was fine, except that the fans didn't really move air at all-- more effective fans would have helped with the heat). There were cups and a kettle to heat water, but some instant coffee packets and/or teabags would be a great touch. No breakfast included for what was listed as a "bed and breakfast".

• Aleksandra (8/5): Comfortable - The location is great! It is walking distance to the train station and to the old town, as well as the Mirabelle palace. There are a lot of shops and restaurants around as well. Our room was large and comfortable. Everything was very clean. The the people working there were very friendly and accommodating. The room is facing the main street, therefore it was very loud, even at night. There was neither an air conditioning system, nor a ventilator, we had to keep the windows open, so sleeping can be a challenge if one is sensitive. Additionally, there were no fridge in the room. This wasn’t a problem for us, but it is worth mentioning, there weren’t any amenities in the bathroom except hand soap.

Good tasty Chinese food below No hot water on the arrival day till the next morning & we had cold shower that evening so they offered free dinner at the restaurant the next day. No fridge, kettle, cup, tea, coffee or even spoon, but after requesting cups and spoons, they provide very quickly. The room was spacious but unused space at the entry, could use that space for a small fridge. The shower made of plastic set and the floor was very smooth so could be slippery when wet.

• Dmytro (9/5): Superb - Very comfortable location close to the city center, easy check it, free parking place near the hotel. Can recommend this place to stay in Salzburg A bit loud in the morning when large transport start go on the rout.
• Julija (10/5): Great choice - Very easy check in and check out, responsive staff, very clean and comfortable. Great location, just a 10 minute walk to the centre. It has a free parking spot. Nothing big, just maybe a clothes hanger in the entry room would be nice :)

• Kelly (6/5): Pleasant - The room was large, very clean, easy check in, and free parking which was great! Nice staff. It took us around 10 minutes to walk to the area near Mirabell Gardens where you’d start to see restaurants, and around 20 to get to old town. 25-30 min walk to get to where you’d climb up to the fortress. We would like to stay somewhere closer to old town next trip, as there’s not much to do around this apartment. The room is above a Chinese restaurant, so the hallways smelled of food. The bathroom didn’t have a curtain on the window, so we draped a towel for privacy.

• Lisa (6/5): A good no frills place to stay close to town. - We picked the place for the free parking and because it was within a short walk to restaurants and shops. There was a floor fan which was appreciated since it was warmer during our stay. The toilet seat was loose (one of the attachment bolts fell out). The shower took a little longer to get hot.

Newly renovated as you can still smell a hint of paint. No TV but not really a big deal. No fridge and WiFi doesn’t have the best connection. No reception but you can just ask the restaurant downstairs (same owner).

Personal very accommodating and great communication. Little bit noisy from the street. Missing few more mirrors. Other then that would stay there again.
