• Mickey 60 (9/5): - Lekkere grote kamer, mooi antiek gebouw. Heerlijk buiten terras, je kan zowel in de zon als in de schaduw zitten. De badkamer is piepklein. Jammer dat je het tweede drankje bij het prima ontbijt moet betalen.

There honestly wasn’t anything we didn’t enjoy. Everything was wonderful, and so were the people.

This hotel truly stands out, primarily because of its exceptional attention to detail and genuinely warm atmosphere. The owners are the absolute heart and soul of this establishment. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, offering personalized recommendations and ensuring our comfort at every turn. Their passion for hospitality is evident, making the entire stay feel more like visiting old friends than checking into a hotel. Our rooms were absolutely spotless. The commitment to cleanliness here is impeccable, making for a truly relaxing and stress-free environment. The breakfast was easily a highlight of our stay! It was far beyond the typical continental fare, offering a wonderful selection of local and freshly prepared products. It was the perfect, delicious start to our mornings.

Πραγματικά οι ιδιοκτήτες είναι άξιοι επαίνου. Έχουν μεράκι για την επιχείρηση τους και αυτό φαίνεται! Δεν έχω να πω κάτι αρνητικό.

• Mirela (10/5): Exceptional place - Exceptional place, a vintage villa full of history, which envelopes you everywhere. Right in the middle of Portaria, with a great view to Makrinitsa and Volos. The rooms are large, with a high ceiling, very nice arranged and very clean. They hosted once kings and queens . Parking , internet, small fridge. Very large courtyard A special note to the hosts, Iorgos especially, very kind and helpful A real gem
• Vassiliki (10/5): Διαμονή ταξίδι στο χρόνο! - Πολύ όμορφο, επιβλητικό αρχοντικό στην Πορταριά! Η διαμονή εκεί σε ταξιδεύει σε παλιότερα χρόνια. Άψογη εξυπηρέτηση από τους οικοδεσπότες. Πάντα με το χαμόγελο ανταποκρινόταν σε όλα. Όλα καθαρά και φροντισμένα. Πλούσιο πρωινό στην αυλή με θέα τη Μακρινίτσα. Δροσιά τα βράδια ήταν το τέλειο διάλειμμα από την καθημερινότητα. Σας ευχαριστούμε για την φιλοξενία. Τίποτα.

They did everything to accommodate our stay, such as giving us activity recommendations, warming up the bottles for the baby and even giving us a lunch bag at the end of our stay.

Great location just next to the center of Portaria with private parking and a big yard. Breakfast was generous and delicious! The rooms were spot clean and spacious.

• Janell (8/5): Great hospitality, lovely hosts, didn’t want to leave! - You could not ask for a better, more genuine accommodation in Portaria. George and Lena and the most thorough hosts. The room was amazing, clean, authentic to the history of the building, and comfortable. The breakfast each morning was impeccable, Lena even made us homemade spinach and feta pie. We learned so much about the area, the history of the house (which is one of the very first of the mansions built in portaria and “twin” to the museum). The location is central and it’s easy to pop around to the centaur path, the restaurants, and explore the town without much effort. There is private parking which is prime in these small villages. They are such a lovely and welcoming family, and made our stay so pleasant that we didn’t want to leave. They have put so much work and continue to work hard to restore their historic home and welcome travelers, I can’t wait to see what it looks like once they get the tavern open once again.
