Guest Reviews
- Lauren (7/5): - Great location that's convenient to Cliftonville and restaurants and attractions, comfortable room, warm hosts, classic old-school airbnb style experience, where you're staying in someone's home rather than a classic guesthouse. Single shared bathroom
- Cathryn (5/5): - Not much bed was comfortable.bathroom was reasonably clean. It was satisfactory just The room had a lot of cobwebs and didn't feel clean. The entry system was overly complex. The decor was very minimal.

- Trevor (1/5): Dreamland/Nightmare - Next to nothing Small room host never really showed us any of the facilities stagnet tub of water directly outside or door to the garden attracting all sorts of flying insects been with booking.com for years and definitely the worst ace we have stayed the so called bbq area stroke garden was a proper tip left as soon as woke up would have left sooner but was there for a concert so obviously had to make sure I was clear of alcohol to drive so so dissatisfied.
- Kay (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (9/5): Very reasonable and very clean the hostess was very helpful -
- Ricky (4/5): Disappointing -
- Dawn (6/5): Pleasant - Comfortable bed. Good sleep. No Curtains just a piece of cloth cut to fit window and attached with bullring clips. Garden view was a yard and brick wall. Large mirror leaning against the wall. No tea facilities in the room, only 2 cups and kettle.

- Antonio (1/5): I recommend you stop using this crappy company that doesn't care about the people who rent with them - I recommend you stop using this crappy company that doesn't care about the people who rent with them..I had a very bad experience with them last night because they don't check who has an account on booking...I had a house rented Cliftonville Approach
Margate, Kent, England, United Kingdom I paid 199 pounds for one night me and my family 2 children yes in this post it is not mentioned anywhere that the owner will sleep with us in the house and that I will have to share the house with her the kitchen the bathroom and many others I was not told that I will be forced to put my children to sleep where she wants she was a very suspicious black lady and I was afraid to sleep with my children there the house does not look like in the pictures the garden was very unkempt the rooms had a strange smell and were very unwelcoming as well as the woman who owned the house I do not recommend you ever rent Cliftonville Approach
Margate, Kent, England, United Kingdom where people take advantage of your money and kindness you can wake up overnight with someone breaking in on you in the room and many more... it makes you apply for Yale to be able to enter the house I stood outside for more than 15 minutes trying to enter the house and finally the woman came and opened the door for me the people from booking.com let me sleep with the children on the street on a bench or rather until I found a taxi to go home where I would pay a very large amount I recommend you stop using this crappy company that doesn't care about the people who rent with them..I had a very bad experience with them last night because they don't check who has an account on booking...I had a house rented Cliftonville Approach

- Jonez (10/5): Exceptional - Very piecefull lovely home and lovely host Having to leave loved staying there
- Verschoor (6/5): If it's just a bed that you need, and are not too picky, it's fine. - We were met by Diane, a very friendly lady. We had to overcome some technical issues regarding the app with which you open the door. We finally figured it out, and worked fine. The location of the Property, was near enough the city center and the beach for us. We got the feeling this was the first time the room was rented out, the room was clean, but furniture a little outdated, as were the bathroom facilities.
- Anonymous (10/5): Effortless - Great Nothing
- Mclaughlin (8/5): Very good -
- Mcginley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nikki (7/5): This is someone’s house, the host lives there. She is very friendly. We were able to either walk to where we needed to b - Within walking distance of where we needed to get to. A couple of cafes for breakfast were about 10 minutes walk away..but be warned there are some roads which are steeper than they look!! Not really a ‘dislike’….but the fact the host lives at the property did unnerve me a little at first, as I was overly conscious of every little noise we made but the host was very nice and I was able to relax more.

- Talbi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Josiane (5/5): Passable -
- Husar (10/5): Exceptional - Nice and comfortable
- Rachaeltovey (5/5): Not good enough for the price. - The people giving 10s and 9s must be hallucinating... Similarly those who gave 1s are ooverdoing it.
The bed was comfortable and the shower was effective. The lady running it is pleasant. It's reasonably convenient for the town and seafront. It was expensive, considering other places with better accoommodation and facilities. I'm afraid I left booking till too late.
The accommodation needs refurbishment; the furniture, decorating and bathroom look old. The small chest of drawers and wardrobe were dirty and damaged. The room was a tiny twin, no TV or kettle or table or usable mirror ( there was a small wall one, but too high for me to use) The owner did say I could use the kitchen.. It would be OK for a cheap single.
I'm afraid I wouldn't stay here again... a tip: Margate is very popular; book early.

- Alice (1/5): Horrible will never stay again - Nothing as when myself and my partner entered the room it was freezing and all we had was a fan heater and we were freezing all night. The coldness of the room and no tv
- Adims (6/5): Pleasant - . .

- Cole (10/5): Lovely stay, shame we had to leave early we definitely would’ve stayed another night. - The Landlady was a very pleasant lady. Made us feel very welcome and comfortable to stay the night.
- Rebecca (1/5): Not very nice … sorry!! - The property was not great .. the front of the house I felt should be more inviting… Very old fashioned not like the pictures at all.. the curtains were falling down… the bed was not comfortable (squeaked at every movement) very very standard more like a bed sit !! You can use the kitchen!!! But cannot use facilities ie oven/hob as guest are not insured to use. Bin in room was not emptied, decor in the room was dated.
- Kerry (8/5): Very good -
- Deanna (10/5): Great short-stay accommodation, pleasant Host - The property was clean , warm, comfortable, and well situated for travelling into Margate Town Centre. The host was friendly and welcoming, which made our stay very pleasant. We felt very at home, and will certainly book again for 2025 Nothing to dislike - we had 2 accommodations to choose between and we're glad we chose this one. It was ideal for a short stay
- Utfvbjggu (10/5): Exceptional -
- Neil (8/5): Very good -
- Amy (8/5): Very good - The host is friendly and welcoming. The house was spotless and the beds very comfortable. Price really reasonable, especially for Margate in the summer. Shopping and restaurants very close by. Great find imo. As this is a private home, there are predictable issues with accessibility, e.g. stairs only. Otherwise a really good deal.
