Guest Reviews
- Judi (9/5): - Location and facilities No cushions on the couches. (I have short legs)
- Buttery (8/5): -
- Morag and Brian (10/5): Perfect - From.booking until departure, communication with the owner (Gavin) , was fantastic. He was highly responsive to questions, and friendly and helpful at all times.
The accommodation itself was perfect. The owners have thought of everything. From the variety of teas and coffees, the quality electrical equipment, including a very decent coffee makers, we couldn't have asked for more.
Best of all, for hubby, was the spa bath. A very welcome treat after a long day touring the area.
Resort staff were also very friendly
The proximity of the apartment to the beach was great and allowed for lovely fresh mornkng walks before breakfast at Tonic.
- Danielle (9/5): We had a fantastic stay - The property was comfortable and spacious and a great place for a family
- Ngaire (10/5): Place had everything we needed, will stay again, Thank you! - Close to the beach, quiet, has everything we needed, nice place. N/A
- koula (5/5): -
- Charles (10/5): -
- Bradley (9/5): Well located with nearly everything you need. Great undercover parking for 2 cars at the door. - Really appreciated the 2 parking bays at the door undercover. Great suite for a family or 2 families together, separate toilets and bathroom to main bedroom ensuite were very convenient. Suite has nearly everything you need and facilities at resort were excellent with tennis courts, activities room, squash courts and 2 pools (outside and indoors heated) that were all free to use. Situated next door to the small Broadwater shopping area, just beware there is no restaurant within short easy walking distance and no restaurant or cafe at the resort, although there is a daytime cafe, burger bar and fish and chips shop (very busy order ahead or wait 30 - 45 minutes) at the Broadwater. Secure parking and walk through to beach. The unit was very clean inside and obviously repainted some time recently. But, there were a few quite minor maintenance items that needed attention: We had to get more toilet paper from reception. The broom could well do with being replaced with a newer better one. I bought and replaced a blown light bulb over the outside BBQ and screw tightened a couple of very loose fittings in the bathroom and ensuite (I have a trade background and figured it would be quicker than waiting for the resort to action a maintenance request). I was unable to tighten the soap holder in the main bathroom shower as it was rusting, and the allen key grub screw was stuck so I could not retighten it, probably needs to be drilled out and completely replaced. I did think the BBQ was well overdue for a deep clean or better still a replacement, I left the hot plate in a much cleaner state (to be fair it wasn't the best but not actually filthy on arrival) however, I could have given it a better clean if there had been a bucket and scrubbing brush available. The glass on the BBQ hood is in need of a very good clean and I'm not sure if the fat drain has been emptied and cleaned any time recently. Only having one piece of chux cloth in the kitchen area was also a big limitation for cleaning. Nevertheless, I do acknowledge it was handy not having to bring our own BBQ. Some of the pavers in the rear enclosure need reseating. All relatively minor cosmetic things but easily rectified that I am sure the cleaners must notice every time they clean.
- Santosh (8/5): -
- Westley (10/5): - The indoor pools were a plus for us. The easy walking distance to the beach and cycling path were nice. There is nothing to fold.
- Natasha (9/5): Rancho Relaxing - Made some great memories! - Family friendly, spacious, self contained, kitchen had everything we needed to prepare/cook meals, fridge/freezer is full sized, clean apartment, comfortable beds, enclosed yard, spa-bath in one bathroom, 2nd bathroom handy for kids, outdoor bbq, relaxing, air conditioned, Location on point - very close walk along pathway to both indoor & outdoor pools, short stroll to beachfront, tonic restaurant & playground next door. Owner had excellent customer communication. Complimentary bike hire.
Highly recommended a stay, Not apartment - however the main Sebel resort have separate gas hot water systems on the walls of their accomodation units, the smell of gas fumes or something wafting in the grounds seem to irritate my asthma a little & gave me a headache.
- Louise (8/5): Great - It was lovely and roomy and comfortable Nil
- Allan (9/5): - The place was awesome. The amenities at the resort are great. The location is fantastic. We will definitely recommend and stay there again đ đ Everything was great. We all had an amazing time
- Jade (9/5): - Great bungalow and location. Would stay here again. Right on the beach, pools were great and clean. Beds were comfy and the place had everything you need, plenty of towels and pool towels. Spa bath is always a bonus too.
- Kaye (7/5): Great extended family holiday location - Great location Needs a little maintenance and care
- Carol (9/5): A great unit with fab facilities in a really convenient location - Great location with comfortable and clean accommodation
- KERRY (8/5): -
- Renea (9/5): Would recommend - We really enjoyed our stay. Facilities and accomodation was comfortable. Lovely beach to swim in walking distance Comfortable and spacious
- Sarai (8/5): Great fun - Loved the way the property was set up and all the amenities that were available. There were a few baking trays, pan etc that need replacing as they are getting old and worn but it was well stocked mostly
- Crisafulli (8/5): A comfortable apartment in a fabulous location. - The apartment was very pleasant The fact that the floor was very dirty and the vacuum was OOO . The broom was broken it was necessary for me to go out to buy a broom, a salt shaker and rubbish bins liners, I also bought pegs but I realise they often "walk".
- Sonia (8/5): - The location was perfect. And the bungalow was really spacious. It could have been a bit cleaner, looked like no one was there for a few weeks when we got there.
- Renee (9/5): - The bungalow was great for our family/ friends getaway. Walking distance to everything we needed for a relaxing weekend.
- Anita (10/5): - The indoor pool is the perfect temperature & the spa is awesome too.
Loved the short stroll to the beach. Lovely complex
Looking forward to staying again âşď¸
- Stuart (10/5): Great value, great service - Great communication and quick response time.
Apartments were clean and well laid out.
Excellent location near the beach and Busselton.
Beds very comfy.
- Jess (10/5): -
- Jane (10/5): Very enjoyable stay. The owners were very responsive and the bungalow, very comfortable. - Plenty of facilities to enjoy - swimming pool, gym and etc. Close to shops and take-aways. Clean and large with everything you need. Nothing.
- Vannessa (8/5): -
- Peter (9/5): -
- Karasinski (9/5): - Close to the ocean
Indoor pool and spa
The games room and the little kids playroom The spa in the bungalow wasn't working :(
- Schweikert (9/5): -
- Nurul (8/5): -
- carly (8/5): Another geat trip away - We have been here multiple times and always love our stay pool/spa amazing bungalows home from home with everything you need. Beach close by and short travel into town centre. Spa bath was not working and jets dirty, but everything else was great
- ken (10/5): Presidential bungalow a winner - The bungalow was very nice, spacious and airy. There were 2 bathrooms and one had a spa bath, which was great. It also had a BBQ and outdoor eating area. The bungalow is close to the pool. The provision of a washer and dryer was great, as were the little extras like tea, coffee, milk, cooking oil, salt, pepper, etc. .
- kelly (8/5): -
- david (9/5): Clean and Comfortable - Clean, comfortable and great location.
- Dale (6/5): Despite some concerns we had a pleasant stay - The units were great value for money for units that slept 7 people in each unit âŚâŚwell stocked with board games, Xbox, dishwasher etc Lots of things not workingâŚâŚhair dryer, clothes dryer, spa jets, broken wooden louvre on wooden slats and the cleaning was not up to scratch
- David (9/5): A pleasant weekend - Plenty of room for 6 people, out door bbq was used on both days.the younger members of the group had lots of fun with all the video channels A minor problem was that the premises had just been repainted and the paint smell was quite overpowering
- Amy (7/5): Okay overall - Comfortable. Good facilities at the Sebel. Wasnât clean. Missing basic things like sugar, salt, milk etc. organised with host after arrival for things to be cleaned etc and had good outcome - host was responsive
- Nicole (7/5): Location, location, location! - The location was perfect. A very short walk to the beautiful Busselton beach where the water was crystal clear and the sunrise and sunsets spectacular. We had a 3-bedroom Bungalow with a king bed and ensuite with one bedroom downstairs with 2 king singles and one upstairs with another bathroom. The beds were super comfortable and the dining area spacious. It is a great stay for families. Check in was 4 pm and check out 12 pm the next day. The owner was accommodating allowing us to check in earlier. There was free Wi-Fi and Netflix/Foxtel. The Bungalow needs refurbishing. The walls were dirty, and the bathrooms needed a good clean.
What was most annoying was that the barbeque was filthy and so were all the utensils and dishes. There was a dishwasher provided so I am suspecting the last people that stayed couldn't be bothered cleaning anything. We spent an hour cleaning all the dishes and the barbeque. This should have been checked prior to guests staying.
- Ashish (6/5): Book directly through the Sebel.resort for better quality.. - Location - great location resort facilities Lack of basic utilities/toiletries, no change of towels or cleaning of room even after asking twice.
- Gemma (8/5): Very good -
- James (7/5): Lovely location space great bungalow could be cleaner an. - Location and hotel facilities great, bungalow had great facilities and space It could be cleaner very dusty, high chair dirty. Bit in disrepair- broken window shutters, fan in shower very dusty which would come of when in use
- Claire (6/5): Lovely location poor accommodation - I liked the location It was grubby and tatty and in need of a full revamp⌠filthy duvets!!, paint peeling off doors, handles hanging off, leak in upstairs bedroom, grubby outdoor space.. the list goes on
- Kristy (8/5): Spacious accommodation with great facilities and location. Perfect family accommodation. - Spacious accommodation with great facilities and location.
- Lorema (7/5): Our stay was great, has everything you need to enjoy relax and spend time together. - heaps of beds for family was great, everything was close together great location! everyone was friendly, kids were able to enjoy the pool gym and games room all safe. some stains on blankets and sheets threw us off a bit, for next time we just need to bring our own blankets, other than the questionable stains everything was all good!
- David (5/5): Had a good time - Sebel is always good for pools and location, liked the flooring in the living kitchen area and the beds were very comfortable. The Presidental suite had an old fridge outside and bedhead in the courtyard. The air conditioning outlet was dripping water onto the carpet upstairs and down stairs, the fridge and washing machine area were very dusty, just needed a bit of maintenance.
- Kahlia (8/5): Always love our stay here beds and pillows are sooo comfy, the venue is always clean, facilities in the Sebel are great - Location, facilities, owner of the bungalow Could have been tidied up a little more in the back yard Garden area.
- Beverly (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tania (8/5): Fantastic space for our purposes. Will def book again! - Location and amenities were fantastic Back outdoor area could be presented a little better.
- Farrugia (5/5): The accomodation was very disappointing. - The Sebel facilities were fantastic. The pools were great and the staff very attentive. The accomodation was in poor condition. Paint peeling from the wall, light fittings not secured, over grown gardens, filthy outdoor area.
- Rebecca (8/5): Very good -
- Lynne (9/5): We really enjoyed our stay. - Really comfortable well equipped accommodation. The complex backs onto the beach, has heaps of sporting and leisure facilities, well maintained grounds and is quiet. Nothing
- Kristen (3/5): Very disappointing. - Location on the beach was wonderful. Close to a nice restaurant at the neighbouring resort. The condition and cleanliness of the bungalow is poor and there are no standard supplies.
Mouldy plug holes. Mouldy showers. Mouldy fridge. Pieces of furniture/fixings broken off and left lying around. No batteries in remotes and no replacements available. Holes in walls. No tissues. No salt. Toilet roll holders breaking or broken. Shower door handle broken off.
Access cards got corrupted and we got locked out. Games room games were almost all broken or impaired. There was only 1 free one. They just took your money and then shut down. Asked reception for balls for the pool tables but they couldnât help, and the person who âmanages the games roomâ didnât come out to fix the things while we were there, so we were not able to play pool at all during our stay which was one of the major advertised drawcards for us.
The ad didnât make it clear that you canât check in until 4pm.
The owner was of no help with the issues with facilities, no one came to fix the broken toilet roll holders until we were leaving and then, when we complained about the condition of the place, offered us compensation only if we spent another $850 with him next February.
The only good thing was the pool, the beach and the neighbouring restaurant.
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND
- Michelle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rita (10/5): Great stay - The place was lovely & situated in a great spot the pool area was great the place was very comfortable
- Colin (8/5): Very good -
- Natalie (3/5): Poor - The spa bath, beds were very comfortable, pool access was awesome Dirty washing left in machine, room very dusty and a general feeling of being dirty. Food and drinks splattered up walls, hand prints on windows, sliding door didn't lock, shower door in main bathroom had a piece of string as handle, no toilet roll holder in main toilet. Dryer filter had not been emptied in a long time
- Keith (8/5): Very good -
- Catherine (9/5): Superb -
- Cameron (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kirsty (9/5): Superb -
- Lennex (10/5): Exceptional -
- Parvinder (7/5): Good -
- Ann (9/5): Another happy family holiday - Very comfortable, great facilities excellent for family There was no broom! Just wanted to sweep the sandâŚ..
- Adolph (10/5): Exceptional - Cleanliness, very quite and secure
- Oliver (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cameron (7/5): Good - Facilities were great, the beach was awesome, and overall, the stay was fantastic. Resort is currently under refurb, so as long as the bungalow is on the list, it should be fixed up to standard. Weat and tear on room is getting bad, bed was broken, smoke alarm faulty, outdoor area grubby and not maintained (courtyard), general cleanliness of the room less than average. Rubbish under beds, very dusty, broken fittings throughout the villa.
- Adam (1/5): Massively Overpriced Accomodation. - Leaving Rooms were not configured to the booking request.
No bedding to reconfigure ourselves.
No soap available, had to go a buy soap.
Lights didn't work in one room.
Everything very dated.
Owner notified, gave me a measly $20 refund to try and rectify it to not get this review, needed to be a much bigger refund to get anywhere close to what we should have paid for that property versus what we actually paid.
- Kahlia (8/5): Really enjoyed our stay here, awesome location for the family as so much to do for the kids. Bedding and pillows were 10 - Facilities and location to everything - bedding was extremely comfortable Could have been a little better cleaned
- Sharon (10/5): Gavin the host went out of his way for us to make everything perfect - Facilities were excellent Nothing
- Katja (3/5): Poor - The closeness to the beach It started with poor directions which didn't mention that the bungalow is part of the Sebel resort. The cleanliness was poor too and the whole place looked very dated and tired including stained bedding, lose fittings, etc. We requested a highchair which was confirmed but nowhere to be found at the property. There was no welcome note or info on e.g. the Wi-Fi access or resort facilities. There is nothing 'Presidential' about this place and we cannot recommend staying there for the money we paid. Quite disappointed
- Rob (1/5): Returned home with sore throats and smelly luggage. Absolutely rotten. - Excellent location and Sebel facilities were wonderful. But that's it. Upon arriving at the accommodation and opening the front door, we were hit with a horrendous stench of old cigarette smoke. After the first night my partner ad I both awoke with very sore throats. We contacted the owner who said just open the windows and air out the room, which we had already done. He advised no one else had complained which in fact was incorrect. A lady had complained also about the stench in January, just a month or so prior. The owner, Gavin said he would "speak to the cleaners" over a week ago after I requested a refund, which I haven"t received. We left after the second night, even though we were booked and had paid for 3 nights. DO NOT STAY HERE if you are a non smoker. Use a Sebel owned room instead. They can help or move you if there are any problems. The worst place I have stayed by far. A tent would be far cleaner. Got home and opened our luggage and our clothes then stunk of smoke also so had to wash everything.
- Alana (7/5): Good -
- Hans (3/5): The location Broadwater is perfect but we will never book this accommodation again. - The location Broadwater is very good with nice beaches and with Busselton and Dunsborough very close. Our âpresidential bungalowâ nr. 19 is in a very bad condition and needs to be renovated ASAP. Shower head did not work, all kind of damages on doors and walls, lights that did not work and most important dust and dirt everywhere. Also old furniture and carpet in the small garden. We tried to get in touch with our contact for this bungalow and her reacted that he would get back to us several times but we have not seen anything 5 days after we left. We expected that we made the right choice for a Dutch / Australian family reunion but and unfortunately this became a very disappointing weekend.
- Neal (1/5): Do not stay here under any circumstances. Book direct through the resort not this provider. - Location was ideal Dirty and exceptionally poorly maintained. Exposed electrical wiring, linen stained, cockroaches visible at night. So poor had to stay in alternate accommodation for first 24hrs while room made safe.
- Tony (8/5): Very good -
- Viliami (7/5): It was OK but wouldn't come back here. - The venue was nice Operator over the phone has great customer service and is very helpful but the pool guy was not. The times say 7am-9pm opening hours for pool and we had the pool guy come and close the pool at 8:30pm. Didn't tell us or say anything just switched the lights off while me and the kids were in the spa and stood at the door. Very rude. Maybe let us know you wanna close early and if we could get out before switching lights out.
- Dave (9/5): Great stay - Great location and ammenities Light in master bedroom and living area flickered so couldnât use. Not enough toilet paper supplied for 7 people
- Brooke (9/5): Superb - The bungalow was in the perfect location for families within the resort. It was close to both the pool and beach. The bungalow had everything you needed for a short stay and would be really comfortable for a longer one. We had one minor issue and l messaged Gavin and he responded quickly and it was no problem for them to rectify.
Each room and the loft had heating and aircon and a TV. Made it so easy to keep everyone comfortable and occupied when in the bungalow. The beds were really comfortable.
The outdoor patio had a great BBQ and line for drying towels. We even had a possum nest above us in a tree with the sweetest little possum living in it who visited.
We will be rebooking.
Thanks. Nothing
- Trudie (1/5): Crap - The staff at the reception and the pool EVERYTHING. The owner is rude and disrespectful. Donât stay here
- Trudie (2/5): Very disappointing - The coffee machine is excellent. The shower has a lot of mould around the doors. The main door to the bathroom doesnât stay open. The pegs are all rotted on the clothes line and left marks on our clothes. The carport light stays on all night and is a distraction for sleeping in the front room because itâs so bright. The air conditioning is old and in need of total revamp.
The sugar offered was minimal and so was the coffee pods. No shampoo or conditioner. No bubble bath for spa. Wi-Fi is also minimal and doesnât work upstairs very well. The back door shutters donât shut properly.
I also left my $280 retainer in the bathroom and when I enquired about it, apparently the cleaner has thrown it out. What the hell ?!?!.
Absolutely livid.
Iâm sure the owner knows of these problems, but isnât inclined to make adjustments.
- Mark (9/5): We stay here often, good holiday spot - Pool, beaches, safe & clean Nothing
- Stephen (7/5): Good family destinations mainly because of outdoor facilities and location but not 5 star - Recreational facilities were very good Cleanliness of rooms and room facilities, rooms quite dated for the price
- Michael (8/5): Great location and facilities at the Sebal, wonderful staff and well maintained pool etc. - Location and Facilities Poorly Maintained apartment, marks on all walls, paint peeling off banister. Light fitting in main bedroom bedside is missing the lamp and bracket was broken with visible wiring questioning why was this not attended to before I booked and paid for my stay ???? Bad smell of urine upon entry which I believe to be from possums in the roof as I came into contact with one the second night. I brought the issues up with the owner who said he would address this week, but why was it not addressed before I paid in full. It was not as advertised
- Marc (9/5): Superb -
- Te (8/5): Very good -
- Jodie (10/5): Very good for a big family - Great facilities, good location , gym equipment has been upgraded Bungalow bathrooms to be renovated theyâre old
- Laura (9/5): Beautiful place with everything we needed. Great facilities -
- Alford (2/5): Very poor - Parking is terrible, courtyard unkempt with no outdoor light.
- Miriam (9/5): We had a fantastic time and would definitely go there again - The location, the pools and games room tennis courts as well it was gorgeous place to stay
- Jessica (9/5): Superb - We enjoyed our stay at the presidential bungalow. Great location and Nice little unit fully equipped with everything youâd need. The beds were nice and comfy and plenty of split systems to keep us all cosy on those cold winter nights. It sounds strange but We also really loved the dryer! I want one like that for home now!!
The kids loved being able to play the Xbox thank you.
Nice and close to the swimming pool too where we spent a lot of our time! Only thing Iâd point out Is the light fitting on the wall in the master bedroom needs repair.. itâs hanging off and could see exposed wires just a bit dangerous with kids I think.
Outside of the propertyâs responsibility but The sebels âgames roomâ was also disappointing. Lots of games not working and all pretty old and run down.
- Bree-anne (9/5): Superb -
- Good (8/5): Very good -
- Paul (7/5): Good - The accommodation had everything we needed and more.. the location is great for a quick trip into town or a relaxed dinner next door. Definitely will be one of our anual trip locations again. Thanks gavin Not much at all. Come to think of it everything was great
- Anonymous (9/5): A great place enjoy a lovely breakaway with all that you need and the comforts of home! - homely feel and so comfortable! everything you need! n/a
- Monica (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sussan (10/5): relaxing and enjoyable - large, comfortable rooms and living areas, great beds, good courtyard and great bbq.
excellent amenities, swimming pools, spa, games room, close to beach
- Courtney (10/5): Stay was fantastic. Thanks Gavin. - The property was fantastic. We do not have anything to complain about. The unit was well stocked and well maintained.
- Vaoesea (10/5): Exceptional - Loved the affordability of the place and the amenities it came with. Perfect for families There was nothing not to like. We loved it!!!
- Amy (9/5): Superb -
