Guest Reviews
- Natalie (1/5): Read review before booking - Location for the reason of the stay and value for money if we hadn't of encountered the problems we did. No heating or hot water on arrival due to the boiler not working. Reported to host immediately and they stated they had no knowledge of this even though we passed the cleaners on the doorstep at check in. It became apparently obvious as to why the cleaners never spotted this issue as the property wasn't very clean. There were no bins for disposal of rubbish but during the search for a bin it looks as if everyone just dumps it in the alleyway at the rear of the house as it is piled a foot high! I would of left a decent review and overlooked the sub standard of cleaning, the fact that it smelt of cannabis, no shelves in the fridge, no food prep knives, 2 cups in a 4 person self catering property, the last renters sheets in the washing machine, a half filled mop bucket of dirty water left in the kitchen, 3 of the 4 kitchen cupboards have paint and tools in rather than kitchen equipment (i.e frying pan and more than 1 saucepan) and 1 channel on the TV (fortunately I do have a Netflix account that I could log into) and even the boiler issue. However the property have refused to acknowledge that no hot water or heating which is to anyone is a necessity, is basically not their problem and (in their words) "the property meets all required legal and safety standards". I actually paid an early check in fee of £20 and simply requested that, as a gesture they refund that as least, they refused. Their reason was that i hadn't presented any evidence of the lack of hot water or heating. I presume the fact that I told them on arrival (and the reply from them was that they can't get an engineer out on a Saturday) this was obviously due to cost, and a pic of a radiator and a running tap wouldn't be evidence that they were both cold! I paid an early check in fee to spend an extra 2 hours in a freezing cold property! Due to the dissmissive, unaccoutable attitude from the host we definitely wouldn't stay again.

- Wright (1/5): Really not nice - The oven worked. It's really not nice.
Smelly (cigarettes), lots of broken things, lots of missing things.
I appreciate it is lower price than other places, but things need to work.
The sofa bed collapsed in the middle of the night, luckily no one was hurt, but tonight we are going to have to bring one of the single beds downstairs as my companion struggles with stairs.
We had to eat our breakfast cereal with teaspoons and we are sharing the single fork.
No loo brush.
No tea towels
No iron or ironing board
No shelves in the fridge, so we have had to pile all our food at the bottom.
Fag burns everywhere.
Broken smoke alarm on the kitchen cupboard.
☹️
- Geraldine Lucking (4/5): A potentially good weekend spoilt because the property was not up to the standard advertised. - The friendliness of the neighbours.
The property could have been good for our stay, if it had been ready to accept visitors. So many things not completed after renovation. Completely spoilt our weekend. On arrival at the property we found the smell of stale cigarette smoke almost overpowering. The painters had been in and had not cleaned paint splashes from floors and walls. All the electric plugs had been removed, including those for the TV router etc. There were not enough batteries for the remotes. We managed to connect the television but no wifi or internet. We contacted the host who sent someone whilst we were out but on our return we had no television at all. Contacted again and someone came round. He was pleasant but did not know what he was doing and said he needed cable and would be back we said leave it until after we had left but he insisted. At 11.00 p.m. we gave up and went to bed.
There was no washing up bowl in the kitchen and no plug (we used the one from the bath) Some of the crockery in the cupboard was half full of water so we had to wash everything before we could use it. An altogether unsatisfactory stay and we wish to seek compensation. The Bath towel on my bet was still wet when I opened it up and I could not use it. Finally the fridge was barely working and had no shelves in it.
- Cassley (1/5): Absolutely disgraceful - The property was a short walk to Anfield Stadium which is what we were expecting and very convenient as we were attending a concert. I’m not sure where to start. The property was filthy dirty, run down, smelly (drain smell), broken fridge, broken stairs, broken sink (water drained to underneath cupboard and all over the floor), kitchen unit door hanging off, light in main bedroom did not switch off therefore on all night, I’ve thrown better floor cloths in the bin compared to the towels provided, holes in walls, holes in doors….the list is endless but most concerning was the lack of fire escape as back door was locked with no key provided and windows did not work….is this legal?? Overall absolutely disgraceful. We did reach out to the owner who agreed with our complaints but we’ve heard no more. Speaking to booking.com customer service team now. I’ve attached a few photos to show the state of the property which for £466 a night is absolutely shocking.
- Steve (7/5): For 4 beds it offers very good value for money. - Very close to location (Anfield). Confusion over parking on arrival (street states permits required), advised not needed by host (no parking ticket received ultimately).
- Amy (10/5): Exceptional - The view. We had a great view of Anfield from the window 😊 Nothing
- Katrina (7/5): Not the best place I’ve stayed - Location Property wasn’t the cleanest, didn’t use kitchen coz of this
Sleeps 5 but only has a side for 2
Broken door upstairs
- Stephen (10/5): Great - Great had everything we needed Was cold and didn’t understand how to work the heating - maybe that’s a me problem!
- Matthew (8/5): Very good -
- Jennifer (1/5): Little house of horrors - DISGUSTING!!! DIRTY and smells of URINE.
It wasn't cleaned, everything was filthy, you wouldn't keep a dig in there but unfortunately we stayed there as a family. As soon as we left we all went home for a shower. There was black mould in the bathroom, the kitchen was dirty, food crumbs left. On the cooker, inside the cupboards were thick with brown stains, the dust and muck was an inch on top of the skirting. Plaster was missing on the stair wall. Hairs on the sofa. 2 beds weren't made and the bedroom stank of pee, carpets not hoovered. The whole house was just pure filth that made our skin crawl so much so after leaving we all had insect bite marks on us. AVOID AT ALL COST!!
- Anthony (1/5): Bad - The fact they cancelled on me lunch time of my stay
- Mior (5/5): Passable -
- Sean (9/5): Superb -
- David (1/5): They canceled our reservation 6 hours before we were due to check in. - Nothing. We never got to check in. They canceled our reservation 6 hours before we were due to check in.
- Michael (1/5): Awful - They cancelled the room shortly after I booked it and haven’t refunded my money
- Caroline (1/5): Bad - Location close to city centre Unclean and unsafe. No fridge (had no shelves) for keeping food for family and connected to socket in living room, no bath towels, not enough seats for family in living area, white good blocking exit at the back door (fire hazard), no lid on bin with dirty contents, bedroom door didn't close and no stair gates so unsafe for children, damages to cupboard and door upstairs, signs of damp. Had to leave and book somewhere else as inhabitable.
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional - clean and tidy, perfect location to anfield we will be definitely stay here again when we get tickets next
- Tyler (9/5): Superb -
- Robert (9/5): Superb - Just needs a toaster. Very clean and quiet. Would stay here again.
- Phoebe (7/5): okay - good for money it was a really nice house just wasn’t clean at all food left in the sink, crumbs on the Hob, dirty floors, crumbs in the bed was a overall nice house just needs a better clean
- Camilla (3/5): Good location for us but dirty and wouldn’t stay again - We booked this property for its location as it is round the corner from Isla Gladstone where we had a family wedding but on the whole it is not near to many things other than that and the stadium. One night we came back and there was someone smoking weed outside our front door. check in and check out were easy and it was easy to contact the host. The beds looked terrible but were quite comfy. The house was dirty. The floors left black marks on our feet, bowls in the cupboard had food stuck to them, the bathroom floor was grimey with gaps down the side of the bath. We were staying there with a toddler who was obviously walking everywhere which I was not comfortable with. The fridge didn’t work so we were given a code to a place round the corner to store our food until the fridge was replaced and the fridge was disgusting. They replaced the fridge the next day which had no shelves. The kitchen had lots of food in it and in the fridge, some of which was out of date. The door to the second bedroom couldn’t open as the bed was in the way. For the money I did not think it was good value at all and was very disappointed. Although the host apologised, we were not offered any compensation for the inconvenience.
- Himanshu (7/5): Overall the place was really good and people can stay with friends and family - na na
- Connie (8/5): Very good -
- Philip (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location for Anfield stadium
- Jacqueline (8/5): A good place for an overnight stay to visit Anfield stadium. - Close location to Anfield which we were visiting. Good parking outside . The surrounding area wasn’t the best with a lot of litter and dog dirt in the street.
- Worrall (9/5): Superb -
- Ibrahim (5/5): Passable - Location is amazing if you are a football fan Bed and mattresses are the worst I have ever seen
- Veiga (7/5): Good -
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional - amazing great stay
