Guest Reviews
- Rainer (10/5): - Quiet ambience, perfect view over Savusavu-Bay, very friendly hosts !
- Genevieve (7/5): -
- Narelle (10/5): Great value for seafront location for snorkelling - The snorkelling to Split Rick and back, at a decent tide, was the best snorkelling from shore we have done, in terms of fish variety and coral - no big fish but a sea turtle. Even some bright soft coral in the split rock crevice. We did one local snorkel with Cousteau Resort next door and it offered no more than ‘from shore’ on the day. Didn’t get to snorkel Namena Marine park (weather not conducive) but tours are possible and Neelam, herself, provides services for free diving.
Neelam and Toby were super generous in collecting us from airport, waiting while we shopped for provisions in town, and in providing fresh papaya, kitchen basics and muesli.
We are at our 4th Fiji accommodation (at Coral Coast) and it only reinforces how special the Bougainvillas location is. Yes, the steep driveway (picture) and mezzanine steps won’t suit everyone. (I’ve got one bad knee and was fine for that small distance especially given the little steps for traction)
The kitchen utensils were minimal but sufficient - could do with tongs, a bowl for salad and some container for leftovers. Didn’t miss a microwave, didn’t need aircon for our early October stay. Netflix was great too.
- Marcia (8/5): Cute tiny home - Lovely cute tiny home villa with an amazing outlook and sunset view. Hosts were lovely and very helpful with information. Great snorkelling just across the road. Easy to get a taxi into town Not sure if its just me but I felt there was no privacy for the attached outside shower/ bathroom. Neighbouring house seems to be overlooking and anyone walking on the hill above you can see you in the shower :P . I enjoyed my stay there otherwise
- Scott (9/5): Fantastic value for money accomodation by Fiji standards. Hosts Neelam & Toby were really lovely and made our stay e - Well designed accommodation, perfect for a couple, stunning views right next to the sea with excellent reefs on your doorstep to explore. Neelam & Toby were fantastic hosts and gave us great recommendations for other outside things to do on top of their own services. No negatives issues come to mind.

- RICHARD (9/5): - Great location and quiet Stairs to sleeping area
- Janis (9/5): Superb - everything, especially the hospitality of the hosts!
views and room are amazing some curtains at the lower window for some privacy would be good as the neighbours walk by when they go to their house
- Paul (9/5): Nice views, great hosts - Toby and Neelam were wonderful hosts. They provided us with directions to a beautiful small village where the snorkeling was even better than in front of their villas. But the snorkeling in front was also very good. The views from the balcony were really nice. This is clearly stated, but there is no a/c, and even with the fans it could be hot in the room. I usually slept with no sheets, although it would cool down as the night went on. You need to call a taxi to get into town, but that is easy enough to do. The kitchenette does not have a microwave.
- Laura (8/5): Beautiful sunset views and good location - Beautiful location. The hosts were so welcoming and gave lots of great recommendations. The place is a short taxi ride from lots of restaurants and shops. It was a bit hot in the afternoons but the sea is close by for keeping cool.
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Keiran (8/5): Lovely cosy stay in Savusavu - We stayed at BougainVilla as I was doing a freediving course with Neelam. Neelam and her partner Tobi are lovely, they picked us up from the airport and took us to the accommodation. The rooms are small but cosy, and have all the amenities required to prepare breakfast or lunch. We decided to go to town to eat dinner each night, and this is a short cab ride away (about $8 FD) but is too far to walk. The place is clean and well maintained, comfortable and comes with a short guide for Savusavu, from taxis to restaurants. Would recommend!
- Doris (10/5): It was a little dream come true and fabulous snorkling right in front of the house. - Modern, beautiful, stylish, clean and top location! nothing
- Londoño (10/5): Our dream house in SavuSavu - Amazing view, very friendly hosts who were paying attention to every detail to make our stay fantastic! We could use some kayaks to explore the house reef and got fresh fruits delivered every day! The villa was extremely clean and well furnished. We will totally come back to do the free diving course offered by our lovely hosts, Toby and Neelam!. Everything was excellent
- Sheerwood (9/5): Superb - Cute tiny house with spectacular views.
The kayaks were a fun way of getting to spit rock for great snorkeling or its a short walk.
Naleem and Toby were excellent hosts providing helpful tips on the area and things to see and do.
