Our room was really quaint and quirky, check in with Nigel was quick and easy. Maybe a cooked breakfast .

Maryna (1/5): Worst seaside holiday I have EVER been on! DIRTY AVOID - Nothing was good. Manager is rude and chalet was dirty. I would not recommend this accommodation if you are coming sans dogs, for the following reasons.... When we arrived (I had paid for early arrival) we took our shoes off at the door and commenced unpacking whilst in our socks. Mine soon turned brown with the dirt and dog hair on the floor. I also found balls of dog hair under the bed. (I asked for a hoover and mop so I could clean the floor but they offered to do it while we were out, but floor was still not clean enough to walk on with bare feet - pics are after it was cleaned). Dog hair is also on surfaces, like my bed side table and on the bathroom sink cupboard. The shower is pitiful and dribbles out water. And don't get me started on the temperature, which switches between boiling hot and freezing cold, mid-shower. Also mouldy and damp inside. The fridge is all wobbly so you have to be careful the door shuts properly. Even with it shut the food was only cool & not cold. So it's not running properly. The equipment in the kitchenette is adequate and they provide biscuits and hot drinks, which is a nice touch. But considering that there are posher hotels in the area that offer an ensuite room for the same price I would've rather stayed there, without the kitchenette (especially at £170 per night!!!). Worst of all; when I voiced my concerns with the manager, Nigel, he was rude and started shouting at me in front of guests. This place is far too run down to be charging these rates. Not sure if they think it's justified because the beach is a 5min walk away but it is literally the worst beach I have been to in the UK. Don't be fooled by the sunset beach pics attached to the property. They were probably taken at sunset so you can't really see how bad it is. Not sure you can call it a sandy beach because it has soooo many rocks in the sand & there's black spiders in the sand!! (the size of 20p coins).

Fantastic that Simon and his owls are finding a home at the camp site. Breakfast was good. Maybe some slightly better bread choices would be a nice addition.

Sophie (8/5): Perfect for a peaceful night away, self contained and convenient. - It was like a home from home. Very tidy on arrival, welcomed by the host as soon as we arrived. Shops nearby and provided with a leaflet stating the nearest places to have dinner and local attractions. Although it was a dog friendly stay, we don’t hear any dogs barking throughout the night. Easy check in/Check out. Continental breakfast could have had more options like pastries/muffins for example. However, what was supplied was lovely. One of the scatter cushions on the bed was heavily covered in dog hair (we’re not dog owners), however, the bedding was spotless.

wendals (7/5): Peaceful and pleasant location - Accommodation was well equipped with the essentials. Perfect for a quick getaway. The room was nicely laid out. Loved the ceiling window. Hosts were very accommodating and friendly, nothing too much trouble. Continental style breakfast was plentiful with fresh eggs from their own hens, ground coffee in the room - perfect! A handy torch by the door. We would definitely stay again. The microwave was a little high for me to remove hot things comfortably. The TV was high up on the wall and was hard on your neck whilst watching. Chair cushions didn't fit the chairs fully so were uncomfortable to sit on for a long period of time, I mentioned this to the host who took it on board.

John (9/5): Ideal location for a short break on the coast. - Rustic charm made the stables nice to stay in. Two heaters helped make it lovely and toasty even in January. Skylight to watch the stars from our bed was nice. Dog friendly and a plentiful continental breakfast which we could take back to our room was a nice touch. Hosts were friendly and helpful with explanations and recommendations for local restaurants and pubs. WiFi was strong signal in the stables. Nothing I didn’t like
sadie (5/5): Ok but would not return again - It was cosy and quaint The cleanliness was not up to standards. The toilet was unclean, hair and faeces on the toilet. The floor was incredibly dirty. When reported, it was still not cleaned properly and the faeces still left. I then cleaned it off myself. I then questioned whether bedding was cleaned. For £100 a night and £25 added on for a dog it was not up to standards.
Shaun (10/5): - This is our 6th time visiting in the past year and a half we absolute love it here, we travel up and down the country but always make a return to my mini break, it has everything you need from a perfect nights sleep in a comfy bed, to fresh eggs straight from the hens in the garden for breakfast. It’s absolute perfect for our dog Bella as it’s also only a 2 minute walk away from the dog friendly beach, thanks again and we will see you again soon.
Lucy (1/5): Filthy - Lack of care and attention paid to the cleaning at this accomodation - mainly in the bathroom. There is an extra charge for a dog to stay on top and as no other facilities were provided for my dog this should have been used for additional cleaning. Thankfully, we only stayed one night and when we requested a partial refund for the issues we faced, we were instead met with derogatory and discriminatory comments about where we came from and the statement that 'they are not sterile from nature'.

John (5/5): “Fine for a short stopover, but too uncomfortable for anything longer.” - Location to beach which is a five minute walk, the cleanliness of the rooms and lovely hot water with powerful shower. Breakfast was very varied and plentiful. "Hayloft" was the apartment we stayed in. The bed was very uncomfortable, as were the pillows, and the blankets had a strong dog smell, which meant we couldn’t use them to try and get more comfortable. We did bring our own dog, but she never sleeps on the bed when we’re away from home, so this wasn’t caused by us. The TV was located upstairs in the bedroom, but with no proper seating it wasn’t comfortable to sit and watch. Downstairs, the toilet and shower were fine, but I expected at least a small sink and a basic cooking area. Instead, there was only a small fridge. There were no plates, cutlery, or a proper table, so eating comfortably wasn’t really possible even having a takeaway. The two chairs downstairs were a rocker‑style design, and although they looked nice, they became uncomfortable after a short time. I also paid extra for our dog to stay, but I couldn’t let her off the lead because there were too many obstacles around the parking area and the general layout. The stairs were also very steep, and she struggled going up and down them. Even the host acknowledged that the Booking.com listing is “a bit confusing” in terms of what you actually get, and the photos don’t make it very clear. After a full day out, you want somewhere cozy and comfortable to relax, but unfortunately this accommodation really missed the mark.

Yvonne (8/5): Enjoyed the 2 night stay, location to the beach was great. - Location was great short walk to the sea. Room very prettily furnished and quite location with clever use of space. Able to park right outside accommodation. Unable to use iplayer on the TV as picture kept breaking up, had to use my daughters ipad. Only had microwave to cook on. Tried to use it to boil the eggs for breakfast 8 mins mine exploded and daughters very rubbery. Outside area let the lovely interior down.

Staff seem to be quite absent, however Nigel was lovely and very welcoming. Not very clear where the check in is and no one seemed to be there when we checked in and out. The site could do with a bit of clean up.
Silvia (4/5): Wouldn't stay again in less it improved drastically for the cost. - The host was lovely, the breakfast options were good and the accomodation is only a 3 minutes walk from the beach ( and gorgeous sand dunes. ) The high rates they charge don't match the accomodation. - Damaged window panes - Upstairs velux windows couldn't even be closed. - Small and larger spiders and cobwebs in every room/every corner. - Bathroom fan was dirty and not working as weeds were growing in from the outside - never seen anything like it. - Smallest shower I've ever come across. I'm slim but had a hard time turning around in it. ( Room was big enough to accommodate a decent size shower cubicle. ) - No mirror in room for when you dry and style your hair so tried to look into bathroom mirror from hallway but bathroom door was in the way which couldn't be fully opened due to radiator behind it. - Constant noise issues coming from next door. ( Couldn't tell what it was. ) - Outside the accomodations, it looked lovely but main entrance and some of the parking areas around looked in an awful state. More of a dumping ground than smart accomodation entrance.

Relaxed breakfast and relaxed attitude to leaving the premises at the allocated time. Although it was low season. Draught through stable style front door. Maybe a curtain ?

Wilder (9/5): Lovely rural setting. Owners are very welcoming. Accommodation has all you'd need for your stay. - We chose this location at South Beach as we know the area. We originally booked for 2 nights but left early due to an emergency at home. Nigel was welcoming and the accommodation was adequate for our stay. The weather wasn't good (it was January) but it would be an ideal place to stay in spring/summer. Within a short walking distance to a dog friendly beach & very quiet location for relaxing. All in all a pleasant stay in a lovely location. We hope to be back later in the year when the weather is better. Due to the time of year pubs & restaurants/cafes in the area had limited opening days & times. There isn't any local pubs/restaurants to walk to. Nearest shops & other facilities are a short drive away to Heacham.
Ricky (7/5): Great location, host and room but the bathroom lets the accommodation down. - Bedroom was lovely, breakfast options were great and location was brilliant. Host was very welcoming. Bathroom wasn't very clean, shower wasn't great and it was hard to get a comfortable temprature. Hot water tap in the bathroom also wasn't working.

Hayden (10/5): A great getaway by the sea. We will come again! - Very lovely accommodation, perfect for two. Surrounding area felt safe and quiet. We were right near the beach, about a 5 minute walk from the sea and a 10 minute walk to the nearest fish and chip shop. Very comfy bed and a walk heater supplied in the room. A great selection of teas and coffees in the room and also at breakfast time. A lovely friendly atmosphere, very well decorated. The only issue was with the shower head as it was partially broken but this was not a major concern.

Jacqui (9/5): Great festive stay - Great location, great parking for the beach, only a couple of minutes walk. Couple of minutes walk to mini store/shop if you are self catering. Breakfast (continental) was plentiful with fresh boiled eggs. Room was large and comfy with everything you needed including kettle, tea, coffee etc. Great place to star gaze as it's very dark. If you are walking to the pub on a night in winter, take a torch as the road is very dark/little in the way of street lights. Lovely patio outside for a summer evening, and a decent sized fridge for your wine! Would definitely recommend and use again (it was very convenient for family Christmas meet up). Nothing
Jaclyn (6/5): Failed to meet expectations - Good location and friendly staff Room not particularly clean. Lots of cobwebs and killed about 20 black flies on arrival. Also very cold, took some time to get warm with fan heater. Most of yoghurts at breakfast past sell by date.
Charmaine (7/5): - The skylight was really lovely to be able to look at the stars as it was a very clear night and the room was very coastal. Unfortunately there were several cobwebs and a layer of dust on everything. When we went to use the crock pot, there was residue of someone else's meal still left on it.

With the added bonus of a cracking coastal location ! - Location was fabulous-literally a 5 minute walk to the Beach , and 10 minute drive to some lovely country pubs ! “Cockles” was small but perfectly formed -nice and cosy , with everything you need ! Greggains (9/5): great location, quite area lovely accomodation. - The location is supurb just 5 mins off the beach, although the beach is very muddy where the tidel flow is. the accomodation was lovley allbe it the bed was very lumpy and maybe the materess could do with changing, or at least turning. That said the room has everything you could want in a short stay with good food pubs about 20mins walk away or 5 mins in the car. Dogs enjoyed it, parking straight outside the property, great for loading and unoading all the purchases, and dogs. Dog wash station a great idea but no hose conected when we were there, just a tap and hard standing. Nigel very friendly and approachable. Just the bed was a bit lumpy, and no hose conected to the dog wash area. Evert thing else was positivly lovely. But it didn't hinder our stay.

Laura (10/5): - The room was lovely and cosy and quite a good size for the style of accomodation. The electric fire/heater warmed it up really quick! Lots of throws, decorative bits and nice touches to make it feel really nice inside. The proximity to the beach was great. Fresh eggs in the morning for breakfast! Overall it was a perfect getaway for us and our dog. Not really a complaint but there wasn't a light in the kitchen area (lovely lighting over the table and the bed), think this would be a useful addition.

john (10/5): - The converted stable that we stayed in was very comfortable and had all the facilities that we needed. There was a large selection of well stocked products in the breakfast room and the owners were always available should we need their help or advice. The beach is a 5 minute walk away for a nice stroll and pubs & restaurants 15/20 minutes by foot for food & drinks. We visited Sea Life in Hunstanton which is value for money and only 10 minutes away by car and another 10 minute drive to Sandringham Estate, although out of season, was still worth a visit. We wanted a change of scenery for a couple of days and that certainly ticked the box. Nothing comes to mind.
