• Kees (9/5): Geweldig, zou hier weer voor kiezen als ik hier weer terugkom - Hartelijke ontvangst door de host. Zij nam alle tijd voor informatie en vragen. Fijne sauna aanwezig. Leuke huisdieren. Prachtige omgeving. Eigenlijk vond ik niets tegenvallen. Lekker rustig buiten de stad.

• Xaver (9/5): Ruhig, gemütlich, alles bestens. - Das Guesthouse ist mit vielen netten Details sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und gut ausgestattet. Es ist alles vorhanden was man braucht. Die Besitzerin ist sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Man fühlt sich willkommen. Eine der Katzen kam durch das leicht geöffnete Fenster plötzlich Nachts ins Zimmer bzw. ins Bett gehüpft.

A acomodação é muito confortável, limpa e bem equipada, com tudo o que precisei para dias tranquilos. A localização também é excelente para explorar a região, com fácil acesso às atrações próximas. A anfitriã Elsa foi muito atenciosa e cuidadosa em todos os detalhes, o que fez toda a diferença na experiência. Nada a declarar. Gostamos de tudo!

Para além de termos tido a sorte de sermos os únicos hóspedes estava tudo incrivelmente limpo. O quarto era muito confortável e a cozinha estava muito bem equipada. Gostamos muito dos visitantes felinos :) A cereja no topo do bolo foi o pequeno almoço que inclui um pão caseiro feito pela proprietária!

• Cartaya (10/5): Maravillosa - La casa estaba muy muy limpia, no le faltó detalle, llegamos sobre las 23:00 de la noche y la señora nos esperó para darnos las llaves y recibirnos, fue muy amable, unas vistas muy buenas. En el baño tuvimos gel, secador de pelo, habían 2 baños, 1 completo, y el otro un aseo sin ducha. La cocina muy completa, había una cafetera para hacernos nuestro café, y nos dejó un pan hecho por ella misma que estaba buenísimo, lo disfrutamos mucho. Muy recomendable !! Todo genial
• Andre (10/5): Eine Nacht oder zwei ... - Sehr persönlich, Informativ bezüglich Wetter und Straßen entsperren. Das Brot von Elsa mit getrockneten Früchten und Kürbiskernen war echt lecker. Auf dieser Ranch war alles da was man für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt benötigt. Aufgrund der Lage, waren auch Nordlichter zu sehen. Mir hat alles gefallen, die Zimmer sind etwas hellhörig.

• Aisla (10/5): A lovely home with a personal touch and delicious breakfast - Very warm welcome from lovely host, Elsa, to her wonderful home. The room I stayed in was cosy, confortable and welcoming. I also very much enjoyed the surprise breakfast of freshly home-baked bread and fresh coffee in the morning! My favourite place to stay on my road trip around Iceland - I just wish I could have stayed longer! (Next time I will!) Not applicable - everything was perfect!

• Manuela DF (9/5): Una perla inaspettata. - Una delle chicche del nostro giro dell'isola e tra i pochissimi luoghi dove abbiamo avuto contatti umani con degli islandesi...nella fattispecie la proprietaria di questa antica e deliziosa casa tradizionale,Elsa.Come raccontato da tutti gli ospiti, la Signora prepara uno squisito pane tipico tutte le mattine ed è disponibile e gentilissima.La casa, e soprattutto i 2 bagni in comune tra le 3 stanze, sono pulitissimi e arredati con gusto e calore.Anche la cucina è perfetta e funzionale.Il prezzo più basso per uno dei posti migliori dove abbiamo soggiornato.Peccato sia stato solo per una notte.Nello spazio intorno alla proprietà si può anche campeggiare e sono presenti dei cottage molto carini.Alcuni a forma di botte.Assolutamente si!
• Sylvia (8/5): Quaint and Comfortable - 1. The host lady and gentleman were very nice. The lady showed us around the facilities and baked delicious bread for breakfast in the morning. 2. The bedroom was very clean and nicely decorated. Very homely and cozy. The bathrooms were both very clean and smelled wonderful. Because I used the shower very late, there was no need to wait for others. The kitchen had very full amenities, which we admittedly didn't utilize too much except for the water boiler and plates/bowls. 3. Mjoanes was just 10 10-minute drive from Hengifoss and 15 15-minute drive from Egilsstadir, so we didn't feel too tired going to pick up pizza for dinner. 4. The grounds are very beautiful, and we had a wonderful sunlit evening. There is ample parking for guests. 5. They let you check in until pretty late (10 PM or later even) if necessary. I think the Wi-Fi wasn't very strong? (which wasn't that big of an issue) and there was a little spider with me in the shower, but that's just a personal ick.

• fr.74 (10/5): Super ! - Une adresse au top Elsa vous accueille chaleureusement et vous fait une visite du site. Elle est toujours disponible pour vous aider si besoin. Le cottage est superbe, joliement décoré et confortable. Les parties communes sont très bien, jolies et propres avec une cuisine séjour dédiées aux 2 cottages ! Bref une superbe adresse ! Rien

C’est un camping donc salle de bain et cuisine communes. Mais tout le monde est respectueux, et se sent bien dans cet endroit calme et paisible.

Słodki dodatek do śniadania (chleb upieczony przez właścicielkę) i dżemy, które udostępniła. Od rana było gwarno i szum innych gości obudził nas o 6:40. Ale taka to specyfika tego typu obiektów.

Tienen todo muy cuidado y se nota que le ponen mucho amor. Hay café y pan con mantequilla y mermelada para el desayuno. Tienen sauna que te encienden cuando lo solicites. Las habitaciones tienen calefacción. Los baños son preciosos.

• Jan (10/5): Great relaxing place to enjoy family and nature. - We loved the whole experience. It was very quaint and a little rustic and we just felt like everything slowed down and we really enjoyed our time there. Elsa, the host was amazing. She works very hard to meet everyone's needs. She baked bread for us in the morning and showed us her art projects and we even bought a sheepskin from her that she tanned. Are grands loved running all over the property and visiting the little baby lambs. It was just a great experience for all.

We also loved that the owner made a delicious bread for breakfast for us, a very appreciated gesture! We weren't told we had to book the sauna so we couldn't use it when we arrived. But this didn't affect much our perfect stay

• Milagros (9/5): Estancia genial - Nos alojamos en una de las habitaciones de la planta baja de una casa, los dueños viven en la parte de arriba. Elsa es muy atenta, hace ella misma un estupendo pan para tu desayuno, ofrece también mermelada, mantequilla, leche, cefé de cafetera y buena cafetera express!! (con lo que en realidad el desayuno está incluido), aceite, sal, azucar, tés.... Cocina bien equipada. Habitacion amplia y bonita. Check-in personal, explicandote todo, muy amable. La casa está decorada con gusto y está a unos 15 minutos en coche de la ciudad, en un bonito entorno natural. Se aparca en la puerta. En la casa habia 3 habitaciones y 2 baños, uno con ducha, impecables, creo que la ducha también es para otros alojamientos que tiene. Estuvimos muy agusto, la verdad, me pareció un sitio encantador La cocina con su mesa y sillas puede resultar algo pequeña si coincides con otros huespedes, pero bueno, son solo 3 habitaciones.... El wifi va muy lento
• Tim (10/5): Great guesthouse. Stay here! - Everything. I have stayed at Mjóanes before. Elsa is a great host and she takes the time to show you around and make you feel welcome. She also provides fresh bread every morning and gives you access to jams and spreads and so on. Free coffee machine in the kitchen too. The room is spacious and most comfortable. The location is excellent and the value for money is the best in Iceland (at least from all the guesthouses I have stayed in). What makes it even better is that Elsa keeps numerous pets who are all super friendly. She even asked me if I wanted to feed the lambs in the morning. Such a cute place. Well worth the stay. Takk fyrir Elsa. Sjáumst! Nothing at all. It’s perfect. 😃
