• WenTing (10/5): 悠哉且舒適 - 位於鐵輪中心地帶，走路範圍內可以體驗很多深度小店。房間寬敞甚至有樓中樓，有自己的私人溫泉池，隨時要泡澡都可以。 公用區域可以租借「蒸箱」，可以自己去超商買食材回來煮 沒有遮光的窗簾所以會早早亮醒

Great staff impossibly difficult to find as the name in booking. com is not the same as the name the hotel calls itself . Roykan Asahiya is the name they use but we put into google maps the name we had and nothing came up
• Lara (8/5): Spacious but far from local transport - The staff were lovely and gave both a welcome gift and a departing gift, which I thought was a lovely touch. I enjoyed how spacious the room was and, of course, the outdoor bath. I also enjoyed the proximity to the Beppu Jigoku (Hells of Beppu). Even by Japanese standards the beds were very firm. As a side sleeper, this left me with a sore shoulder and neck in the morning. The location was far from the train station in Beppu. The bus stop outside the accomodation doesn’t run regularly, I ended up having to get an Uber to the station to avoid waiting 35 minutes for a bus or walking 10 minutes uphill to another bus stop with all of my luggage.

• Joel (9/5): Had an amazing stay and would love to come back - Had an overall great time here. The room looks exactly like it does in the pictures. The onsen bath was amazing. Super close walking distance to many touristy things like the 7 Hells of Beppu. The beds were very comfortable too. Offered free on site parking and the staff were kind enough to give us free hard boiled eggs boiled from the volcanic steam (they were delicious) The only critic I have was I wish the room had a TV with streaming services. But other than that it was an amazing stay and would definitely love to come back

She was very considerate of my situation regarding my late check-in and so welcoming! She even gave me onsen tamago when I checked out 🥺 I absolutely loved my overnight stay; the open-air bath was amazing, the room is so clean and comfy, and the neighborhood is quiet and relaxing.

• Amelia (9/5): Peaceful stay in a perfect location in a brand new, beautiful room. - It is brand new and beautifully built. They had unique beverages for sale and very helpful and friendly staff. It was a very peaceful stay. I rarely rate places, and this was such a nice stay, I needed to share. I am not used to Japanese bedding and I find it a little stiff for me, but my husband loves it.
• Erica (10/5): Exceptional - Superb accomodation. Beautiful room, with a gorgeous private onsen, and a lovely loft too. Everything about this was dreamy... I would stay here again for sure. The breakfast and light dinner were delicious and nutritious, and the staff was kind and welcoming. Fantastic location too, as it's a short walk away from most of Beppu Jigoku; it's also a quiet and calm area. It's the ideal getaway. -
• Lynn (10/5): Large in room private bath and great service! - Everything was perfect, from the service, room, location, and food. The staffs understands simple English and they were really friendly! There were 2 bus stops near the ryokan, one is just right beside the ryokan where the other is just 6 minutes walk away. The lobby had the nearby bus timetable to most tourist attractions and a map to nearby shops. The famous hotspting steam restaurant is just a few minutes walk away. We could even pay a small fee to use the hotspring steam stove to cook our own ingredients in the ryokan!! We didn't get to try that this time but will definitely try that the next time! The private hotspring in our room were quite big which I could straighten my legs completely. The water temperature could be adjusted with cold water as well. They offered great seasonal breakfast and dinner as well! We had the local famous hotspring steamed food for dinner. The staff even came out to bid farewell to us when our bus left 1hr we checked out. That was really touching. Highly recommended and will come again!! Nothing. Everything was perfect!
• Yujia (10/5): Relaxing stay - Beautifully built place that makes the most of the natural hot springs in the area. Close to famous attractions and relatively easy to find buses close by. Very friendly staff offering cute welcome and useful advice. Private hot spring is very relaxing and hot all the time. Seasonally appropriate Japanese breakfast (make sure to pre-order) was a delight. Overall a very pleasant stay. The only thing that was slightly unfortunate was due to the acoustics you can be at the mercy of any loud neighbours and if they drop heavy things on floors late at night. We also lament the general loss of kaiseki in a ryokan type accommodation which would elevate a place like this, but understand this is not a traditional ryokan. The hotel has made efforts to incorporate that experience into breakfast and tea.

• Gianluca (9/5): Lovely modern onsen - Very big rooms with a nice modern design (hotel is only 3 yrs old). Great male and female onsen and nice family one. Very attentive and kind staff. Bus station for Beppu just beside the hotel. One of the most soft and comfy goose-down quilts I have found during my trip!
• Yi (10/5): Exceptional - Loved the Japandi interiors and the room was very roomy and comfy. The private onsen was a godsend. The staff are all friendly, welcoming and helpful. There’s also parking available which was a huge plus. Highly recommend!
