Theres a teacoffee area and also a small kitchen. A fridge to everything in the private area. I would like to rate this place 10/10. Big rooms and big bath rooms. Theres a heater too in the bathroom. I liked everything.

Ik kan het iedereen aanraden. Douche voor toilet en wastafel zoals op veel plekken in Sri Lanka is wat onhandig

The stay was clean/comfortable with modern A/C, the location was near beaches and quiet, the staff were very hospitable providing a coconut drink on arrival, cute bedding, water bottles provided, laundry was easy, and the family/owner went above and beyond to welcome us and help us feel comfortable! We really appreciate the prompt communications and flexibility with our stay!
• Jessica (7/5): - 5 min Fußweg vom Strand, super süße Cafés in der Nähe, netter Gastgeber und wir konnten hier für wenig Geld Wäsche waschen. Ist keine Luxusunterkunft aber man hat alles was man braucht. Nebenan wird regelmäßig Müll verbrannt aber dafür kann der Gastgeber nichts.

• csta7931 (10/5): - Loved this place! Staff was were some of the kindest people we met on our travels. The room was extra spacious and clean. The location was perfect - able to walk anywhere you need. Slightly noisy on friday and saturday night, but only until 10pm. It didn't bother us much.

• de Haas (5/5): - De airco en de grootte van de kamer. Onze kamer was zo ongeveer onderdeel van de woonkamer. Daarnaast werd dagelijks via ons balkon naar de badkamer gelopen waardoor wij weinig privacy hadden. Onze badkamer was ongeveer een geheel met dat van de familie waardoor je alles in hun badkamer kon horen. Verder is op foto’s ook niet goed te zien dat het nog in aanbouw is waardoor je de hele dag geluiden van de verbouwing hoort. Erg onrustig verblijf en zeker niet het geld waard.

• Jeremy (10/5): - Les chambres spacieuses et très propres. Les hôtes sont super sympas et très serviables (beaucoup de petites attentions) . C'est bien placé. On s'est senti super bien en famille là bas. Un de nos logements préféré sur ce mois au Sri lanka. On recommande ++ Rien à redire.
• Delphine (9/5): confort et sécurité - L'accueil le propriétaire est vraiment très aidant, disponible et bienveillant. L'établissement est propre, fonctionnel est accueillant. La cuisine est accessible à tous. Le garçon qui s'occuper de l'accueil est aussi très gentil et volontaire mais il ne parle pas anglais donc c'est difficile de se comprendre de demande spécifique. Le propriétaire n"est jamais loin et tout le monde fait de son mieux. L'endroit est bien placé car proche du centre et de toutes les commodités à pieds. Cependant il est, comme beaucoup d'hôtel, le long de la route principale donc c'est assez bryant. La chambre était propre. je n'ai pas testé le restau et j'ai du partir plus tôt car j'étais malade. Le gérant m'a vraiment aidé à traverser cette épreuve, il m'a trouvé un autre endroit à ma demande, m'a accompagné avec sa fille et le lendemain m'a même conduite à l'aéroport. Je recommande cette endroit car il dispose de toutes les qualités pour se sentir bien si on a un paire de boule quies et aussi et surtout parce-qu'on s'y sent en sécurité. rien.

• Methe Sofia (10/5): Dedikeret familie, der gør ALT for dit ophold bliver perfekt og uforglemmeligt - Fantastisk oplevelse. Charita og hans familie er enestående værter der gjorde alt for vores ophold blev perfekt. Der er en tryg og hjemlig følelse - selvom familien ikke bor på stedet, mærker man deres sjæl og dedikation helt ind i hjertet. Vi boede der 3 nætter og er blæst bagover af al den service de hele tiden stod til rådighed med. Vi fik anbefalinger til gode restauranter og seværdigheder i området. De hjalp med transport etc. Vi bestilte den Sri Lankanske morgenmad der blev tilberedt Charitas søde kone. Den er enestående, lækker og fyldig - nærmest som en Brunch med alt hjemmelavet; pandekager, Dahl, Coconut Sambal, frugt etc. Smukt anrettet og en stor nydelse. Tak Der er så meget kærlighed i alt, hvad den her familie gør for at give os gæster den bedste oplevelse. Vores 2 værelser var rummelige og meget rene; aircondition og Wifi var perfekt og hyggeligt med altaner på begge værelser. Muligheden for at købe kolde øl drikkevand og sodavand er en lækker service. Også helt perfekt, at der findes et køleskab og el-kedel samt køkkenfaciliteter i fællesområdet. Skønt vi kunne skære frugt og lave en kop the/kaffe under vores ophold. Vi var så heldige at få mulighed for spise Sri Lankansk aftensmad også tilberedt fra bunden af familien - igen en uforglemmelig og fantastisk oplevelse. Vi siger stort tak for det gæstfrie og hjertevarme ophold og vi vil elske at komme tilbage. Hiriketiya er på favoritlisten af de steder vi oplevede på vores 3 ugers rundrejse på Sri Lanka. We had our door entrance inside the owners livingroom. Felt a bit strange. A nightclub is near by and you definitely hear it thru the thin walls.

Daher keinerlei Schallschutz - auch sonst eher laut. Mussten die Nächte mit Ohropax schlafen, da sonst kein Schlaf möglich - Dusche ist nicht abgetrennt und man duscht quasi im Klo

Good water pressure and hot water on demand. The balcony was a nice addition. Comfortable bed and spacious room. The property accepted card payment which was nice. The location is great, easy walk to the beach but far enough away that is a bit quieter.

• Anne (10/5): Perfekte Unterkunft um Hiriketiya zu erkunden - Sehr saubere und große Zimmer. Das Personal ist super freundlich. Wir hatten an einem Tag nach einem Föhn gefragt, am nächsten hatte der Gastgeber extra für uns einen neuen gekauft. Die Lage ist super, mitten im Ort und perfekt für alle Aktivitäten rum um Hiriketiya. Trotzdem ist es nicht zu laut in den Zimmern und man kann nachts gut abschalten. Preis-Leistung top! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Have a small balcony. You can get lunch and dinner from the restaurant down the hotel. 5 minute walk to the beach, DotsBay House and many other wonderful places. Highly recommended.

• Joe (6/5): Cheap and good option for 1 night? - Location was great, inside our room was clean and the bed was comfy. Wifi was decent. We stayed on a Saturday night, and because it’s next to a hostel, it was very noisy! you could hear everything. Also, the curtains didn’t block the light, so the room was very bright early in the morning. They only provided two small towels, and the shower was quite weak. No staff was there, just two kids.

• Joanne (9/5): Fabulous Guest House - What a fabulous guest house! The host and his family were so kind & helpful with everything. The location is perfect, just a short 10 minute walk to the beach. Lots of great places to eat close by. The rooms themselves are spacious & clean. The A/C was great. Our host organised scooter hire and a Yala safari trip for us. Highly recommend.

He is incredibly kind and goes out of his way to be helpful in any way possible. I’ve stayed in a few places in Sri Lanka so far and this was by far my best experience. Don’t think twice—book it.

• Will (10/5): The best stay we’ve had, will definitely come back - Everything: - super nice host who made us free fruit juice when we arrived (after a long day of driving) - amazing location on the Main Street, close to lots of nice restaurants and a short walk to the beach - the room was nice and spacious with a decently comfy bed and a good bathroom - good air con (a little too good) - good reliable WiFi which we haven’t had before Nothing. There was a power cut over the whole of hiriketiya for about half a day so be aware that might happen

When my girlfriend got bitten by a dog near the beach, they assisted us with everything and even gave us a ride to the doctor for her vaccination. The lady is an amazing cook, and the breakfast was delicious. I recommend trying the Sri Lankan breakfast, but I bet the western option is also very good. Highly recommended!

Very clean property, hot water, and a relaxing balcony to hang out. The owners are very kind and accommodating. Definitely recommend getting their Sri Lankan breakfast, absolutely delicious! They helped us with transportation to Mirissa and were overall very pleasant to chat with. Would absolutely stay again and I recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Hiriketiya! Nothing! Lovely stay overall, zero complaints.

• Leon (10/5): Perfectly located, clean, and cozy hotel with GREAT breakfast and lovely owners! - The location was perfect, very close to the beach, shops, restaurants and more. The breakfast made by the owner and his family was stellar as well. It was one of the best ones we have eaten in Sri Lanka. It is optional though, so you can opt out, but you would be missing out!! We met some great people as well during breakfast, which gave a bit of a homely feeling, this was perfect. The room was super clean, the airconditioning cold, and the stay was just about perfect. We miss it already! Nothing!

• Katherine (10/5): My favourite stay in Sri Lanka! - I had the absolute best time in Hiriketiya thanks to Charitha and his family! I was supposed to stay for 5 days, but I ended up extending to 3 weeks — and honestly, I would’ve stayed even longer if I could have. Charitha goes above and beyond to make sure his guests are comfortable and happy. He often organizes meals, snacks, and drinks (his wife is an amazing cook!). He’s super responsive on WhatsApp if you have any questions or concerns, and he’s always genuinely happy to help. He is one of the kindest people I’ve ever met and a true example of Sri Lankan hospitality. The facilities themselves were excellent — I have no complaints at all. The location is also perfect: surrounded by restaurants, cafés, and boutiques, and just a couple of minutes from the beach. I would go back in a heartbeat. Do yourself a favor and book your next stay with them! Rien, tout était parfait.

• Wiles (10/5): Best accommodation in Hiri - This is the best accommodation we have had in our whole 4 month backpacking trip. The room was so big, with so much storage and space. The view was beautiful and so much natural light. The bed was comfy and the aircon was strong. The host and his daughters were so kind to us, letting us check in early due to arriving from Yala, offering a welcome drink and letting us store our bags after we checked out the room. We loved the location of how close it was to the beach. Highly recommend.

Charitha, our host, was one of the kindest and most thoughtful people we’ve ever met—he went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home. He even made us breakfast even though it wasn't meant to be part of the deal, his lovely family surprised us one morning with an incredible homemade breakfast, completely free of charge, which we truly appreciated. The location is perfect—just a 5-minute walk from the beach, close to everything, yet the area is peaceful and quiet at night, which made for a perfect night's sleep. We felt so welcomed and taken care of. Highly recommended!

• Ashley (10/5): - I had such a lovely stay here - location is great, 10 min walk to hiriketiya beach and 15 mins to dickwella beach (my favourite). Room was spacious and comfortable, silent AC machine which is a rare treat! The owner is extremely kind and helpful, on hand for anything you need or any questions about the area, he helped me work out my travel for getting back to Colombo when I left. Felt so at home here, would really recommend!

Gave me his bike to ride around, found me another place to stay when I wanted to extend but it was booked up, made me coffee and welcomed me with a juice. He is an amazing person. On the main street so it can be a little noisy during the day but I slept fine.

• Lukas (10/5): Schöne, neue Unterkunft in super Lage - super Unterkunft mit guter Lage und trotzdem sehr ruhig, 7 min zu Fuß beim Strand, alles noch sehr neu. Wurden sogar mit einem Willkommensgetränk begrüßt. Preisleistung top, würden wieder kommen.
• Maria (9/5): Mervallous - I was very warm welcomed by the owner with a welcome drink. It is a new accomodation with very clean rooms situated in the centre of Hiriketiya. The owner - very friendly and kind - offered me several fruits. Thank you for your great hospitality and service. I truly recommend this place.

• Céline (10/5): - Flexible sur les heures et prêt à garder les sacs si vous voulez profiter d’une dernière journée tranquille après le check-out. La localisation est top, pas trop loin de la route principale et à 5min de la plage à pied. La chambre était super propre !

• Ilka (8/5): - Die Lage war sehr gut. Man hat direkt Restaurants und Cafés um die Ecke. Der Strand ist auch nicht weit entfernt. Das Hotel ist neu. Die Eröffnung liegt erst einige Monate zurück. Das Zimmer war sehr groß. Es roch chemisch im Bad.

• Carley (10/5): A warm welcome to Hiriketiya! - We were warmly welcomed from the very first moment and really have nothing bad to say. The location is perfect, and in terms of value for money, there’s really no reason to complain. Super friendly host who even treated us to a real Sri Lankan breakfast. Definitely recommend!
