• Irfan Choudhry (5/5): Look around before committing. - It was clean. Location is just a random suburban street with no cafes or restaurants within close vicinity / walking distance.

• Giovanni (4/5): Koonawarra Guest House - The place is nice and welcoming. But that's where the positives end First of all, the description says the apartment is suitable for 3 or 4 people. Wrong: in the living area there's a sofa, not a sofa bed. There are three of us. What would have happened if there were four of us? Then, yes, we adjusted. But it's not fair. The noise and the chatter of the (?!) owners, late at night and early in the morning, with shuffling footsteps and furniture being moved around, is certainly not a good thing. Parking is practically non-existent: we ALWAYS parked on the street because the limited space available was always taken. Furthermore, the description at the bottom offered the possibility of using the pool. Meanwhile, the pool is in the back, accessible from the owners' apartment, so if someone wanted to use it, privacy would certainly not be a priority. In short, it would be like breaking into someone else's home.

• Rashek (7/5): While the property had positives, several issues impacted our overall experience. - I really like the high quality of the furniture and kitchen appliances. There were a few things that could be improved. Parking was not available on the property, the bed was not large enough for the number of guests listed in the booking, so one person had to sleep on the sofa. Additionally, basic items such as bottled water or milk were not provided. The advertisement mentioned a swimming pool; however, there were no instructions or directions provided on how to access it. There was also some noise coming from upstairs during our stay.
• Bennett (10/5): Exceptional! I didn't want to leave. - It was spacious, well equipped, and luxurious. The owners were so friendly and helpful. I felt like one of the family! I will definitely be back. Nothing, everything was perfect!

• Kathleen (8/5): Short stay - Very spacious and pretty much everything except for Tissues A bit noisy from above and yappy dogs. And although bed was comfy it was hard to get into when against the wall especially for an older couple

• John (7/5): - The fittings and furniture was very up market. There was only one bath towel for two people and no face washers. Parking was not good. The Guest House is located on a busy road on a bend. There is parking on the property but was taken up by the manger/owners family 2 cars which were parked at the front of the unit and the driveway entrance blocking any other cars parking there. There is a long driveway beside the building which they could have used but did not. This would have allowed the guests to park in front of the building unit. We were the only guests that day. We had to park on the road which is quite dangerous when trying to enter/exit and load/unload the vehicle. The noise coming from the upper floor where the Manager/owner is living was quite bad between 5pm and 9pm and 6am onwards. It sounded like a herd of elephants were there - stomping and banging.

• Michelle (10/5): A beautiful property. A true gem. I travel a lot and this property stands out for its excellence amongst others. - Exceptional in every way. The bed was extremely comfortable, even the bed linen was of the highest quality. The kitchen was beautifully appointed and there was loads of room in the lounge area. I felt very comfortable and relaxed at the property. Not applicable. I was very happy with every aspect of my stay.

• David (10/5): Guesthouse Koonawarra is highly recommended for a stopover if you are travelling along the coast. - The property was set back a bit with an outlook over the coast. Easy to find and very accessible with off street parking. The fitout and amenity was excellent, the kitchen and lounge were spacious, huge 2 door fridge and well equipted and very welcoming. It was a big unit with a funky modernistic antique fitout, the bedding was excellent, bathroom very good, clean and the aesthetic was definitely coastal with the surfboard in the room. Highly recommended for a stopover. NADA
• Breanna (2/5): Would not stay here again - The apartment itself was fine The location wasn’t great. We had to leave after 2 nights even though we’d paid for 4 because we couldn’t sleep for hours - the people upstairs were clearly trying to get in their 10000 steps for the day and every time a wardrobe door was opened upstairs woke our kid up. We thought the first night might be an anomaly so we gave it another night but the noise was unbearable and went on till almost midnight

• Wendy (8/5): I would go back again definitely - The host was very courteous, timely, and clear with instructions, so there was nothing to worry about prior to arrival. Excellent welcoming surprise on arrival! Lovely. It was so modern and well furnished with everything for a self catered holiday. Exiting the car park was harder than anticipated. Sometimes could hear the neighbours walking/loud footsteps

• Sam (9/5): Superb - - Good location. Close to everything. - Safe and easy off-street parking. - Unit was clean and beautifully furnished and decorated. Everything looked and felt new. - Hosts seem like lovely people. They made me feel welcome. When I couldn't find the lockbox, they came out and opened the doors for me. And when my phone broke due to seawater damage, they contacted a repair service on my behalf and even offered me a ride. - Bed was squeaky and unstable. Pretty sure I woke the hosts the first night. Also a weight disk fell off the bottom of the bed. Not sure what it was for though. Ended up sleeping on the couch for the rest of my stay, which was okay because the only a/c was in the living area. - The hosts have the loveliest dogs that greet you when you open the bedroom window, but I couldn't help but notice the many pieces of dog mess that was not picked up until towards the end of my stay. - Zero soundproofing. This is the worst part, I'm afraid. This property is not a guesthouse as the name suggests, but a granny flat. There is no privacy in terms of sound. I could hear everything from conversations to footsteps all day long. Some noises were quite loud and sudden. I was startled quite a few times. Also the hosts are early risers - good luck sleeping in.
