Guest Reviews
- Beverley (6/5): - Bedrooms and lounge were comfortable Steps down into Kitchen were quite steep. Fridge, coffee machine and cooker could have been cleaner. No Kitchen roll and there was a dirty tea towel in a draw.
People need to know there is a flight of stairs from the street to the flat.
- Kevin (8/5): - Location was good, parking easy and the facilities were good A little cramped and we were just a couple. No good for more than three people.
- Natalie (10/5): - Absolutely everything from start to finish was a breeze with this booking. The host has great communication prior to and during stay, super helpful and accommodating with any request. The apartment itself is absolutely beautiful, spacious and well thought out, with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The beds and the sofa bed were all comfortable and the bluetooth mirror in the bathroom was a hit with everyone! We absolutely loved the layout of this apartment and would welcome staying here again, without hesitation. If we could score it higher we would! We challenge you to find a fault!
- Mandy (10/5): - Excellent location lovely & clean Coasters for cups would be good also mattress & pillow protectors
- Kerry (10/5): -
- Paul OShaughnessy (10/5): - Very clean, everything was spot on. Good location. Definitely would stay again.
- Tracy (9/5): Comfortable short stay - Nice and central and meet all our needs have stayed a few times in the last year. Comfortable
- John (9/5): Super stay, good value for money! - Super comfy beds, clean bathroom, modern.
Kitchen area had everything you needed. Bedding and towels a little tired - but all very clean
Bedside table lights being glass showed the dust.

- Anne (6/5): A thoroughly enjoyable stay and would be pleased to return. - A really good location. Basic facilities just right for our needs. Comfy mattress. We asked the host for shower gel, and a light bulb for one of the bedrooms. She responded promptly and rectified the problems as soon as she could. The bath and shower are nice, and there was plenty of hot water and the heating responded well. There are good drawers to put belongings away. Although the flat looked nice at first glance and had received a surface clean, it was dirty. There were maggots visible down the bathroom sink drain, and unwashed cutlery and food wrappers under the sofa. It seems that the cleaners need a bit more time to make sure the place is given more care and that renewables like the light bulb and the shower gel are replenished prior to a new rental. The pillows were much too high for me and I didn't sleep well although the bed itself was very comfortable. It would be useful to have hooks on the back of doors and perhaps in the hall.
- Louise (10/5): Fantastic apartment in a great location. - The apartment was stunning, much bigger than expected. Very modern, super clean.
I was staying with my sister, and we were seaglass hunting at the beach.
Such a lovely stay, couldn’t fault the apartment! Nothing!!!
- Andrew (9/5): -
- Nichola (10/5): Very clean, spacious apartment in perfect central location will boom again. - The decor, cleanliness, space N/A
- Clive (10/5): - Contact was excellent and the apartment met all our needs. Ideal location with plenty of shops and places to eat on the doorstep. Nothing.to dislike.o
- Karen (9/5): Excellent - The apartment was well located, lovely and clean, communication between owner was excellent, great little find, would definitely recommend. There is parking outside (time restrictions) and a free carpark at the end of the street,
- Sarah (8/5): Great owners and decor - Great, caring owners ...must say I was very impressed with them.
Good decor and facilities. The shower but that is being rectified.
- Olayinka (10/5): -
- Cosgrave (10/5): Beautiful upstairs apartment close to all amenities. - Very easy to collect the keys from the lock box. An excellent location, close to the town. Beautifully appointed flat inside, really well laid out, with oven, hob, fridge and freezer. Aldi is also just down the road and it's not far to the sea. Comfortable sofa, massive TV - we had a lovely weekend! Advertised as having a coffee machine but we weren't told in advance to bring own pods and none were available, but not a big issue, there was instant coffee that we used.
- natasha (10/5): Lovely Appartment we will definitely rebook - Newly refurbished, comfortable and secure. Well equipped flat. Biggest TV I’ve ever watched! V minor but I’d have preferred the wand shower attachment to have a higher fixing as if you don’t want to get your hair wet you need to use it and hard if you have to hold onto it
- Tessa (9/5): We enjoyed our stay and thought the flat was lovely and well equipped - We really missed having a table and chairs to eat our meals, even if it was one that you could put up and down when needed.
Apart from that it was perfect and we loved Seaham beach
- Sue (8/5): Perfect location for what we wanted to do, I'm sure we'll be back -
- kelly (10/5): - Fantastic property. Perfect location Nothing
- Darren (8/5): Very nice apartment - Very clean and well Decorated property. Comfy beds and good shower Noisy downstairs in the bar until about 11pm. But it was a Saturday night so expected
- Pieter (9/5): - It is nice and large, with great facilities.
- Ian (8/5): We had a good time, groups of youths outside the property late at night disturbed our sleep though - the shower gel and shampoo bottles in the bathroom were empty
There should be a smoke detector at the top of the communal stairs
The bottom door does not lock
- Jenette (9/5): Had a fab stay and would definitely recommend - Great location, very clean and fully equipped. Hostess was very helpful when we had problems with the TV. Internet wasn’t brilliant
- Sharon (9/5): Superb -
- Andrew (8/5): Micheal very helpful - Very good beds nice and spaces very good Nothing
- Gary (8/5): Very good - Central, and clean
- Luke (8/5): Nice apartment ideal location - The location was good, despite being next to the bar you don't hear much noise from it at all which is good.
The apartment overall was clean and easy to access, on street parking available between certain hours only but free car park not too far away. The bathroom was good however the overhead shower sprayed water everywhere so was not possible to use without flooding the bathroom.
- Skyrimxbox (10/5): Exceptional -
- Zara (9/5): Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Excellent communication from owner. - Very well equipped and ideally situated Nothing
- Ngadeu (10/5): Loved apartment - Very stylish apartment. Everything was very clean. My son loved the bluetooth mirror! Kitchen was well equipped. Sofas looked good but weren't very comfy. When we arrived the door from the street was unlocked- not sure what can be done about it as it's shared with other apartment.
- Tracy (8/5): Clean ,cosy and comfortable - Great location was in easy reach of everything.
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional - An oven glove would be an improvement
- Gemma (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely stunning apartment for my daughters 21st she stayed with a friend couldn't ask for more all modern tech beautiful decor very stylish will be booking again next time she's down a***** Nothing at all can't fault the place I want to move in
- Bonny (10/5): Great accommodation- would definitely stay here again. - Very clean, cosy, and felt like home. Decorated lovely, fresh bedding and towels. Would have been useful to have an ironing board.
- Lois (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dafne (9/5): Relaxing and very enjoyable - When you first arrive you don’t realise what an amazing apartment is hidden behind a very simple front. Comfortable, clean and great communication from people renting it out. Tiniest of remark is for 4 people the pots are a bit small when you want to cook. A big pasta pot would be helpful especially as there are three colanders!
- Gill (10/5): Lovely apartment in a perfect location. - Perfect location for us, nice comfortable apartment with everything we needed for our stay. Shops on our doorstep, we didn’t need to use our car at all during our stay. Locals were very friendly. We loved exploring the beach and local area. Would definitely stay again. Nothing.
- Helen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Georgia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sheena (7/5): Lovely property, shame about the bar. - The apartment was lovely, comfy beds and well equipped kitchen. The property is over a bar. Sunday live music 5pm until 11pm. very loud in sitting room and bedroom. Noise till 12pm and then voices shouting of damage to a car outside !
You can park outside the property at certain hours then have to move to public car park. As the cash point is on the wall outside get people standing outside the door to property.
- Rachel (9/5): Great hidden away spot. - The apartment had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen had everything needed for cooking and eating, even down to salt and pepper, coffee pods and washing up with a clean sponge. The living room was comfortable and has many channels on the TV. The 'rain' shower in the bathroom was so nice and relaxing. The apartment is close location to the beach and local shops. The entire apartment is based on the 1st floor, so there are stairs up to a shared landing to 2 other apartments. This apartment is over a bar, it was quiet most of the time but then at times there was loud laughing and shouting but it wasn't all the time.
- Eden (9/5): Alround a pleasant stay and mostly happy with the property . - Was nicely decorated and everything was provided to ensure we enjoyed our e.g tea/coffee and cutlery. Bed sheets were stained . Somethings were dusty to the point where people were drawing things on the furniture with the dust . There was not sufficient parking due to the times of parking outside of the property. Due to it being on the street there are time limits when we could park there . This was inconvenient.
- Keith (9/5): Superb -
- Hogg (10/5): Excellent! Would def stay again . - The property is very nice . Its lovely decorated and comfortable. Very spacious. Nothing
- Gary (10/5): Perfect & Perfection. - Everything.exceptional.
Could not ask for anything else. Nothing at all.
- John (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment was amazing, beautifully presented with comfortable beds, very close to all amenities
- Julie (9/5): Seaham centre flat - Good value for money, comfortable beds including sofa bed, easy walk to amenities and seafront, easy parking, clean and nicely decorated. Well equipped kitchen. Plenty of towels, toilet roll, etc. Pleasant place to stay. No table to eat at (especially challenging if the occupant of the sofa bed does want to get up yet!). Keeping water in the shower is a challenge especially if tall. Otherwise, as expected.
- James (10/5): Brilliant - Compact and in a great location
Great value for money enjoyed my stay. Stairs but thats because I’m 74
- Taylor (8/5): Perfect - Such a great location! The flat was modern and clean. Would certainly recommend.
The owner of the bar underneath was lovely and invited us down for drinks Saturday evening. Great wee bar.
- Thomas (9/5): Great place and location, decor was modern and stylish. Host was responsive and helpful too! - Decor was fantastic
- Barbara (7/5): Overall it was well priced and well located. - Quite spacious in a good location. Liked the coffee machine and wifi worked well. The apartment was cold. Could not get heating to work. Not sure if we missed it but we weren’t aware that the apartment was at the top of a flight of stairs making it a bit awkward with suitcases, but we managed.
- Sorrel (7/5): Great stay, minus bar noise. - Handy location and nicely appointed apartment with comfy beds. We had everything we needed for a week’s holiday. Host was very responsive when we had technical issues with the TV and stopped in twice to help us. Noise and security are issues. The apartment is located above a bar, below a second suite owned by same host, and shares the stairway with a noisy neighbour. All conspired to mean we got little sleep on several nights. Main door to the shared hallway didn’t lock without slamming and I couldn’t lock it even after slamming. So it was left open all night and slammed frequently, even at 4am.
- Michael (9/5): Superb -
- Bethany (10/5): Amazing place to stay - Such a lovely apartment, so happy with everything and communication with the owner was quick and clear. Would love to stay again as it was a lovely experience. Nothing. Loved it all!
- Matthew (8/5): Enjoyable stay in a nice apartment, which was very comfortable and exactly what we required for our trip. - The spacious nature of the property, the beds were extremely comfortable and facilities available in the property. The iron didn’t work unfortunately, as it wouldn’t heat up.
- Nelson (9/5): Superb -
- Claire (10/5): Exceptional - The flat was finished superbly to a very high standard, the host was easily contactable and always helpful. great family accommodation in a central location. Nothing, all was perfect
- Ian (8/5): Great modern apartment in a perfect location - Apartment was very modern and had everything as expected. Loved the massive TVs and the steps down to the kitchen. All rooms were a good size. The shower in the bathroom was very fancy and the mirror had a bluetooth speaker which i have not seen before. The location was great right on the main street and everything was a short walking distance. Great free parking at the end of the street. Only downside was the front door to get into where the apartments were. The door needs replacing as the lock kept sticking and it was almost impossible to actualy unlock to open.
- Richard (9/5): Superb - Good Location
Very well presented The pub got a little noisy on the Sat night (live band)
- Stacey (10/5): Exceptional - Very easy to collect keys. Lovely little apartment, situated extremely well to all amenities. We travelled up for a karate competition which was located in Peterlee, so took us 12 mins to get there from apartment which was fantastic. There’s an Aldi just behind the apartment, heron foods opposite and just down is the main town strip with all local shops and a whetherspoons. Sea harbour is a nice little walk.
Apartment was fitted with all mod cons, was comfortable and had everything we needed for self catering.
Also the people of Seaham were so friendly, everyone was so polite and eager to help us. The only thing was the main door leading up to the apartment was unlocked most of the time, so we did lock it ourselves a few times especially at night and the duvets were a little dated/worn so just maybe some new ones to keep it fresh but nothing major, it was a pleasant stay.
- Jane (8/5): Very good - The location was good. It was warm and comfortable. It was mostly clean. The host was helpful and readily available. It was hard to find there could have been clearer directions e.g. above the post office. There were no instruction books for any equipment which meant we had to contact the host to put the heating on and we nearly had a disaster with the washer dryer. There were dirty marks on the bedding of one of the beds luckily there was a spare duvet cover in one of the drawers. The grill pan was dirty and the kitchen needed wooden spoons and a larger pan.
- Alyssa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisa (9/5): Superb - Great apartment, had everything we needed, and more, very modern. Would definitely stay again! There is nothing to not like
- Catherine (9/5): Lovely apartment - The apartment is roomy and comfortable. Good location with an easy walk to the seafront. We stayed for the weekend with our four teenage grandchildren and we all loved it. There was nothing to dislike.
- David (6/5): Inside excellent facilities, but location means I would not stay there again - Inside the property was very modern. Some lovely furnishing Location was fine for what we needed, but it was located next to a drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre. Didn’t make me feel very comfortable with a young family. The noise outside each evening was off putting and the church bell rang every hour throughout the night
Very slow wifi
- James (10/5): Enjoyable Seaham stay - Really comfortable apartment in Seaham High Street. Short walk to the beach and railway station.
Rooms are to a high spec with modern touches. Nothing exactly as described.
- Holly (9/5): Highly recommend - Gorgeous flat, great decor and detail with all of the amenities you might need to hand. Easy communication and access. Thank you for our stay.
- Simon (6/5): Pleasant - Next door to a alcohol and drug drop in centre
- Jess (8/5): Great stay, close to beach, shops and bars. - Great location close to everything with shops, bars and beach within a few minutes walk.
I liked the layout of the place and the furnishings sofas, kitchen and great that there were blackout curtains.
Simplicity of the TV with alot of choice of channels and great that it also worked in the bedroom.
The luxury of having a bath with hot water was great. The rooms were lovely, however the bed was abit too firm and felt hard on my back- it wasnt the comfiest, the pillows were also too puffy for me too which were uncomfortable on my neck.
- Linda (8/5): Good location overall, gorgeous apartment, up and coming area, well worth a visit. - The location was confusing. More info about the position over a shop would have helped. The key safe was just very difficult to open and wouldn't close properly because of the bulkiness of the keys. The communal entrance and stairs were shabby and detracted from the beautiful internal decor of the actual apartment.
- Phyllis (8/5): Ideal place for a visit to Seaham - It was self catering. Ideal location easy to get to and near the beach and shops The church clock chiming every quarter was a bit distracting through night
