- Damien (8/5): Great onsen and typical clean Japan inn quality - Easy access and large parking. We stayed only 1 night on road trip from Matsuyama to Takamatsu.
Hotel is standard Japanese hotel but very well maintained, onsen is open to outside visitor but still quiet for hotel customers. Dinner on site was below average as it only offer basic udon or snacks.
However good point of this hotel is onsen which is very large offering wide variations of bath also outside baths . On checkin day staff was helpful and polite but later in evening staff changed and male staff was avoiding eyes contact and turning his back.
Breakfast was basic, orange juice was from powder but acceptable breakfast overall.

- Josefa (8/5): Amazing onsen - Very clean. Nice service. Amazing onsen. They had the option for a Vegetarian breakfast. That was great. Short walk to a Konbini. We would have liked it if there was a nice outdoor sitting area to relax. And the room on the ground floor was very dark. We needed the light on also during the day time. Otherwise it was great.
- Lo (6/5): We are disappointed with rooms on the old wing. Otherwise our stay was fine. - Onsen was crowded with day visitors on the first day. It was much better (not crowded) the next couple of days. We are disappointed that we got rooms on the old wing, not the log cabin style rooms on the new wing that are better.
- Sandra (9/5): Superb -
- Daryl (8/5): Very good - It was clean and comfortable and I enjoyed the onsen
- Pierre (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location, nice room, delicious dîner and breakfast
- Bernard (8/5): Very good - It s a very good and convenient stop close to kochi with good rooms. You might hear your neighbours.
The onsen is really nice indoor and outdoor.
The staff was very helpful
- Carla (10/5): Exceptional -
- King (8/5): overall is gd price and very gd about the onsen, very be better if the onsen open time is much longer. - onsen bedroom cleanliness need to improve little bit
- Seb11 (7/5): Was OK…staff not overally friendly or helpful. - Private onsen
- Chiu (9/5): Superb -
- Kevin (4/5): Disappointing - Onsen opens at 9am and check out is 10am. We expected to be able to shower and dip in before leaving, but on our check out day they had extra cleaning time from 9-10 preventing us from cleaning up. The room we stayed in also had no shower or bath attached.
- Suguru (7/5): Good - It is okay facility wise. But for the price range, it could have been better. Felt the onsen is a bit older. Little old. Self service futon prep.
- Charlie (8/5): Very good -
- Natasha (8/5): A comfortable relaxing onsen experience. - The onsen was fantastic, lovely that you can use as much as you like while you stay :) There was no breakfast or dinner option if you had not selected at time of booking and the staff did not allow to change your mind once you arrived. The restaurant did not allow you to come for dinner if you hadn't made a reservation even though it was more or less empty. Being so very far from the city, if you didn't have a car you would have to walk to the nearest family, which fortunately is around the corner :)
- Elizabeth (8/5): Very good - The onsen is very good There isn’t any double room with queen bed. All twin beds
- Wialdo (7/5): Good - The water is originally sulfur fresh. The outdoor onsen was nice and clean. Unfortunately the sauna was broken and the laydown onsen was not working. And the smoking area is pretty far from the second floor. The smoking area requires some effort. The entrance closes at 12 a.m. This is a typical hotel in Inaka. You may not go out after 12.
- Kristian (9/5): Superb - Got the in-room rotenburo option and it was just what we were looking for - temperature is suitable for smaller children, and they could play with the water inlet flow without disturbing other guests in the public bath.. Faciities as expecte and functional. Building is a concrete bunker of a rather peculir style. If you want something rustic/authentic, look elsewhere.
- Justin (4/5): Disappointing - No being allowed to use the onsen facilities because we have tattoos
- Dallia (8/5): Very good - You have to book in advance to have dinner in the restaurant. If you arrived past 6pm, it’s impossible to dine onsite
- Lauren (7/5): Great onsen, older rooms. - The staff at breakfast were always very cheery and helpful. Breakfast and onsen was great, especially the outside area. We enjoyed our stay and were comfortable. Rooms were fine, maybe getting on in age a little. A bit more space or a shelf in the basin/entry area would be nice.
- Wei-jen (8/5): Overall, it was a nice experience to stay in this hot spring hotel. - Good breakfast; people are nice. Temperature of hot spring is not high enough.
- Kathleen (8/5): Very good - Staff was very nice. Used a translation device to make sure we understood, and even cleaned our suitcases for us. Best miso soup. If you have tattoos don't go for a traditional Japanese room as there is no bath/ shower in the room and you will not be able to use the public bath. The futons were a little thin and we needed to double them up.
- Collette (10/5): First time visiting Kochi and thoroughly loved my stay - Traditional. The onsen. Food. Staff. Clean Nothing
- Sue (8/5): The accomodation was good, the staff were helpful and we both had amazing massages. - The onsen was great.
- Claire (8/5): Very good -
- De (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shoichimnb (7/5): Good -
- Lap (9/5): A great stay near the countryside and an ideal lodge for rest after a long day of outdoor activities - Location is good - reasonable distance from Niyodo, where we visited on the next day of our stay. Also close to a convenient store which opens 24/7. The Japanese style room was spacious with nice amenities. Breakfast was amazing. The onsen was great but not quite like what was shown on the pictures. There was only one outdoor onsen, and although it was quite big, the water was not warm enough. Staff members do not speak English but communication was possible with the help of Google translate.
- Juan (8/5): Very good - The breakfast was really nice and the room in general meet my expectations. The place felt a little old and the bathing areas are open until 10pm only.
- Chutima (7/5): Good -
- Ausana (5/5): Passable -
- Riichiro (10/5): Exceptional -
- Purna (9/5): Superb - This ryokan is a bit off the path around Kochi but the main reason for the stay was the onsen, which more than met the expectations as listed on their website. The onsen had so many places to sit and enjoy the hot springs water, and the quality of the water was great (hot with a lot of dissolved minerals). Room was a bit small and the hotel was a bit dated.
- Silberg (8/5): Very good -
- Ausana (5/5): Passable - comfort bed cleanness
- Yee (10/5): Exceptional - Counter staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, and the beds comfortable. There was an incident that the window in one of three rooms leaked during heavy rain one night, but the staff when informed immediately change a room for us. The onsen facilities were good indoor and outdoor. A comfortable "dip" to relax after a ;omg day. The free self-service laundry facilities were much appreciated. Breakfast was very good with different dishes in the three mornings. We had a car so going to different places of interest was no issue to us. There was a Family Mart within walking distance. Recommended for good stay for visitors to Kochi area. Nothing much to mention.
