• Siobhan (10/5): Absolutely fantastic week. If you looking to get away on a budget this is excellent value for money. - Fantastic location, nice quite garden and pool area. Restaurants and beach within a 5 min walk. Had a lovely sea view too. For what I paid it was excellent. It’s a minor thing, but a sweeping brush would be handy to have in apartments, oh maybe a vending machine on site to get drinks and snacks.
• David (5/5): Disappointed - Great location There was 3 of us staying and we went out one day and returned to a bed missing leaving just a mattress on the floor Reception was closed so had to sleep on the floor until the next day and I was told sorry but the bed was needed for another guest Large gap under door and cockroaches made the whole experience awful This was no way acceptable but they would not put my bed back or offer any compensation.

• Kate (5/5): 02 to 09 September 26 - Location was very good 👍 Advised the property of our time of arrival, despite this when we arrived, in tge dark and pouring rain, no one there and we walked around for ages, I rang the property and was told the keys were in tge door of the apartment, a simple text would have sufficed.The kitchen left a lot to be desired, no pots or pans provided.The outside balcony had only one very old , cracked plastic chair so we had to bring one of the inside chairs out so we could sit. Towels were micro fibre?????
• Anthony (1/5): - Was nothing to like about this accommodation Was listed as a super studio apartment was very small wasn't clean two single beds for a couple kitchen was ridiculous small fridge was smelly cupboards were dirty bathroom didn't have frosted glass beds had bedbugs when reported to reception they didn't want to know arrived on the 22, of February didn't receive clean towels till Thursday was told that the bed sheets are only changed once a week so we had to go to a shop for mattress protectors and a chemist for treatment for bedbug bites would not recommend this accommodation to anyone planning a holiday to lanzarote

• martin (5/5): - Excellent location. Reasonably quiet except for one night with noise from adjoining apartment. Badly stained mattresses were upside down with no protective covers . Blankets covered in hair from previous tenants . Lots of horizontal surfaces very dusty. Very.sparce self catering facilities , ie . Only one pan fit to use and no cooking utensils. TV had not one channel. Most sunbeds are well worn and uncomfortable. Boundary wall to bottom of complex was missing so therefore comprmising security.

• Yurii (3/5): The hotel room was dirty - The room has everything you need to heat up food and use basic kitchenware. The pillow is low quality and the mattress is uncomfortable and hard, so getting a good night’s sleep is unlikely. On the plus side, the room is very spacious, with plenty of space to store your belongings. There is a terrace where you can sit and dry clothes if needed. There is also a pool in the courtyard. The hotel room was dirty and cold. There was hair left from previous guests in the shower cabin, and the blanket we were supposed to use was dirty and stained. It was December, the room was not warm enough, and the hosts did not provide warm blankets. Cleaning is not included in the hotel service: during our 4-day stay we were not given clean towels even once. The Wi-Fi is paid, although the main page states that it is included in the price. However, at the reception it says €6 per day. On one of the days, there was no water in the hotel for several hours. The drainage in the shower works very poorly, so to shower without flooding the room you have to pause and wait for the water to drain. Otherwise, the room gets flooded because the shower tray is very low. This trip was for my birthday, so the overall impression was terrible.
• FRANCISCO (5/5): - El baño no estaba equipado, apenas había papel higiénico y no tenía jabón de manos o ducha. Hay bastantes mosquitos pero tenían un spray de citronela así que perfecto. Es confuso llegar ya que el Google Maps te lleva por otro sitio pero llamé al alojamiento y me indicó bien como llegar. El problema es que lo veo un tanto inseguro, la puerta de acceso siempre está abierta y al alojamiento se entra con una puerta corredera de cristal.

• Lola (3/5): Book cheap and get cheap. Do not stay here - Not far from the strip. Clean rooms The staff are non existent. The water was shut off and I was left 15 hours with no running water. The pool was not clean. The receptionist left the resort at 2pm, handed me the key and told me to lock up when I was leaving for my flight. There was still multiple suitcases there which meant I couldn’t lock the door, I had to write a note to let the other guests know they’ll need to lock up. I was a guest not a worker. You can not contact the hotel staff after 5pm and they are meant to be on site until 4/5 but leave whenever they feel like.

• Les (6/5): Pleasant - Goof location. Nice quiet relaxed complex No english channel on television, but this was irrelevant as there was no reception most of the time anyway It kept freezing. WiFi connection was very bad, couldn't get any connection most of the time. No hot Water in shower one morning, but I reported this to reception and it was fixed immediately

The staff were nice and friendly I arrived and couldn't get an answer initially on the phone to get into my apts as the reception was closed after 2 pm. Eventually when I did get an answer the owner Eventually arrived and told me there had been a leak in my apartment from the apartment upstairs from a running tap and it wasn't available until the next day. So he took me to another location he had arranged for me for 1 night. He picked me up the following morning at the arranged time and took me to my accommodation and put me in an upstairs apartment which obviously didn't have an apartment above it so that baffled me. After that it was all fine except for the door . I had issues getting it locked. And the pool wasn't clean. But I did like the location and the apartment itself and the owner was a nice man. Just not sure what's going on there

• Joy (8/5): Tropicana - Location.Studio facilities. The pool area needs new sunbeds and parasols. We were there for 9days and the bedding was never changed! The wardrobe isn't long enough for long dresses,trousers etc.(there is a shelf that has bn included that is stopping this)!!

• Nolan (5/5): Passable - Nice small complex of 20 studios . Good location . Studio was clean and comfortable beds . Housekeeping could be better . Bed linen should be changed more than once in 2 weeks. Towels could be better and changed without having to ask for same . We received a set of beach towels somebody left behind at one stage. Reception is only open from 9am to 2pm and this can be difficult when you are trying to check in or out and when you're trying to get your €100 deposit back . To be fair this is stated when booking . With a few minor changes this could be a super little complex .
• Joyce (10/5): peaceful resort - lovely quiet place ,so if you like peace it's great. comfortable studio room and beds are amazing grounds and pool are very clean with lots of sun loungers. staff are helpful and friendly close to the beach n shops bars etc . would definitely recommend 👌
• Kevin (6/5): Pleasant - What caught me out was the need to leave a €100 deposit at the property, this wasn't clear at time of booking, was hidden deep in the terms and conditions. To make matters worse it has to be cash which of course meant that when it was returned when you leave you're left with foreign currency to change back. For this reason alone I would probably not stay again

• Eileen (7/5): Solo trip - female traveller - I was in a superior studio (17). The beds were comfortable and it was very clean. The location for me was perfect, just off on a side street, very quiet location. Pool was adequate and plenty of loungers at all times. No toiletries, no cooking utensils and hob didn't heat up. Also not adequate cutlery provided, no bread knife or chopping knife. Door panel was damaged in my arrival and was held together with sellotape. Was assured this would be fixed but wasn't, safety issue as I was a solo traveller. Room not cleaned once in 4 days. Also very strange as the kitchen had a frosted window but the bathroom that was overlooked by another hotel had a clear window....had to put a towel over it??
• Darja (4/5): For this price you can find better hotel apartments in Lanzarote - Good location ! Close to shops and restaurants. Good quality of furniture and level of room in general ,not “old style” Kitchen , has not enough of equipment to use . Cleaning were done not great , we have to ask for fresh towels . Have to pay extra for “wifi” , which usually includes to the price of property, swimming pool were not cleaned, lots of sand , leaves from trees . The worst thing was neighbors on top of us , who been shouting, screaming, listening loud music every single day… to find someone from reception was very hard .

• Cathy (9/5): Good clean apartments - but no safe - The apartments were recently renovated and were spotlessly clean, in a good location. No problems in getting a sunbed at any time of day. Although there isn’t a pool bar, there is one at Jable Bermudas complex literally a minutes walk away. We didn’t have a safe in either of our apartments. We did ask and were told on two occasions “I will bring one” but this never materialised and we gave up asking. I don’t know if it was only our apartments which didn’t have a safe (apartments 11 and 12) or if none of them do. If having a safe is a deal breaker for you then maybe look elsewhere

• Catherine (1/5): Unpleasant, Health and Safety Risk - Nothing I recently stayed at Apartamentos Tropicana for a 10 night holiday, and I regret to say that my experience was extremely disappointing and I fraught with serious health and safety issues. Despite the promising photos and descriptions, the reality of this apartment is vastly different and deeply concerning. PEST PROBLEMS *** The apartment grounds were infested with cockroaches. I encountered cockroaches on the balcony of the apartment, large gatherings of cockroaches appeared at night on the main path to get out of the block where the bins are open. FIRE HAZARD *** Dangerous!! One Empty Fire Extinguisher located in the apartment, No Fire Alarms in the apartment, No Fire Blanket in the kitchen. No Fire Escape Plan or emergency contact details in the event of an emergency. The door lock was stiff enough to lock, in the event of a fire this would have sealed your faith! This caused unnecessary fear and anxiety. SWIMMING POOL HAZARD *** Dangerous!! The RINGBOY isn't fit for purpose with large holes and cracks and no rope in the event of someone drowning. No lighting around the pool after dark. No lifeguard on duty. Stairs leading to swimming pool are crumbling and broken. THE APARTMENT: 1. The Bathroom Window was sealed shut with brown tape, it was missing it's handle and whistled in the wind. There was no ventilation in the bathroom. There was also no privacy in the bathroom the rear apartments has direct view of you as you showered or used the bathroom. There's no lock on the bathroom door. 2. There was no safe in the apartment. There was however marks on the floor from where there once was a safe. 3. The headboard had multiple dents in the leather with visible nail markings. 4. The kitchen has no safety features ( fire alarm, fire blanket or fire extinguisher). The fridge hasn't been cleaned in a long time there's a bad smell. The hot plate is greasy. 5. One of the mattresses had yellow urine stains with a bad odour.

Receptionist very little English other people in apartment asking when would she be there pool not cleaned rubbish over flowing in bins apartment clean enough very compact wouldn't be going back in a hurry. Even another couple had to ly outside all nite on Sunbed arrived late not key left and reception times incorrect as stated no one there at all Saturday or Sunday had to ask for clean towels and toilet roll when we did see reception/cleaner!
• Attracta (5/5): Disappointing - The apartment was good, very comfortable for me on my own The lack of reception. Only twice did I manage to get someone there, normally it was locked. On my first day there I requested another pillow, some toilet paper and a key to the safe. Well, I managed to get a key on my second request but my other requirements were ignored completely. As regards the safe, it was just a very dirty tin box sitting on the floor. The bolts at the back of it were loose and it was not attached to anything. I could pick it up and walk off with it. I have pics to prove this. And I had to pay for the privilege of this! A joke! Regarding the beds, there were two beds with ONE sheet and a blanket on each and only a single pillow on one of them. I managed to make up a bed for myself using the dressing from both beds. There was not even a single tea cloth or a J-cloth provided. I asked the cleaner, when I eventually found her at another apartment for a kitchen cloth but she just looked at me blankly. I had to buy some kitchen paper. Speaking of cleaners, I had to seek her out after four days and ask her to change my towels. My bed was not changed at all. And she had the audacity to point out a missing shade on the wall light in the studio and inform me that it would cost me €100!! The light was broken when I arrived but she didn’t appear to want to accept that. The apartment was reasonably clean. However, there was a big enough spill on the kitchen floor. It looked like coke or something. I had to use the toilet paper to clean it up. Not only that but the fridge had not been touched. It was dirty and there was a strong smell in it of the pork slices that were there. There was also an opened carton of wine and some pickles too. Obviously it had never been opened since the last people left. I was my balcony one morning at 7am and two girls from my country came to me to know what time reception opens at….they had arrived at 1.30am and couldn’t gain access to their apartment so they had to sleep on the sunbeds for the night!

I totally enjoyed the tranquillity of these lovely apartments. - It was spotlessly clean and all the staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. The guy behind reception was very kind and friendly. Property couple of streets up from the main strip. With pubs, Chinese( lovely food) gastro pub at the bottom of road(lovely food ) and two spar shops on the way to the strip. It would be nice to have some form of vending machines, as there isn’t a bar or restaurant on site. But that is the only change I can think of. Just lovely.
