- harry (7/5): Basic and functional in a good location for exploring the area ….own transport really needed - Good hostel style place right in heart of Iya value….fairly basic amenities but worked for us and price reflects what you get Grand
- M (9/5): -
- Oscar (10/5): - I really enjoyed my stay. Beautiful, quiet. Had some really great video games in the common room. Perfect.
- Manfreds Booking (9/5): - Angenehmes freundlichen Personal und Gäste. Sauberes Haus. Große Hilfsbereitschaft.
Nahe am Iya River und Brücke.
Sehr viel Wald.

- Ira B (8/5): Comfortable clean guesthouse in an amazing setting. - I really liked the setting and the japanese style room was fantastic. I was also surprised how much I enjoyed the bath. My room was next to the toilet which wasn't ideal, but wasn't terrible either.
- Johnson (9/5): - The guesthouse location is exceptional, so close to the bridge and to local onsen.
- Pierre (10/5): -

- Venla (9/5): Unforgettable experience 💕 - Amazing location! Busses in this region truly are infrequent, so plan your stay well!
- Claudia (8/5): Comfortable Japanese guesthouse - Comfortable Japanese guesthouse, well equipped shared kitchen and communal area. Staff speak good English, bike hire available and luggage storage also accommodated. Small shops nearby and some local cafes - more open at lunch. Able to reach by bus and train, within 5 mins walk of vine bridge
- christian (8/5): -
- Casper Gandil (10/5): Great location and helpful host - Great location and the host was so friendly and helpful. There is a great restaurant for dinner two houses down the road.
- Collette (9/5): - The owner was really lovely, they had retro video games in the communal area! Spacious, comfortable rooms. Nothing, it was great
- Matthew (7/5): Traditional but basic lodgings right next to Kurabashi Bridge - Very friendly owners/staff. Location is very near kurabashi Bridge but you really need to bring a car if you want to visit anywhere else. Buses are sparse and taxis limited. Walk if you like though if you can spare 3 hours or more!
Classic tatami mat room was nice to experience and the bed was surprisingly comfy.
Also the steps opposite the guesthouse take you to the bridge and back so it saves you walking up and down the steep roads! Very barebones lodging and no private bathroom. No desk and chair in the room too in case you want to sit and use a laptop.

- Jean (9/5): Globally I had a great stay - The owner is very nice and friendly. I enjoyed the simple room as well as the wide relaxing lounge space and the tea available from the kitchen.
The place is very clean and there is a wide bath. Location is superb. Highly recommend it. Lacks a little character
- theodore (9/5): -
- Lillian (10/5): Exceptional - Host very friendly, we arrived early and it wasn’t an issue, facilities excellent, fabulous surroundings Nothing we didn’t like
- Christian (9/5): -
- Debbie (10/5): Great location in an area of outstanding natural beauty - Very clean and pleasant, but also very simple. The owner is extraordinarily kind and accommodating. Not a negative for the property but note that there are very few eating places in the evening as this is very remote and especially in the off-season

- Nick (9/5): -
- Joelle (9/5): Une auberge traditionnelle charmante. Douches et toilettes communes. Atmosphère familiale. - Voiture nécessaire.
- Jacky (6/5): - The bed was comfortable and warm and the bedroom had heating. Tea and coffee were provided in the kitchen and toiletries in the bathroom. It is very close to the Vine bridge and small café. Friendly man who ran it. The building, bathrooms, lounge and kitchen areas were freezing cold. It smelled musty and mouldy because windows and doors are ill fitting. The bedroom was too bright all night, illuminated by a street lamp, so sleep was very patchy.
No food is provided and the tiny shop didn't have much.
I hasten to add that my visit was in March, low season, and maybe this would all be better in summer!
- Sandro (7/5): - Il lampione della strada… era come averlo in camera…
- Paula (10/5): - Hermosa guest house, super recomendable!
- Pau (9/5): -
- Antonin (8/5): Good place to stay near the vine bridge - Friendly host and nice seating area downstairs
Great location
- Tara (10/5): -
- Marie-Laure (8/5): - Très bien placé
Stationnement
Staff cool
Chambre confortable
- Graham (10/5): Yes.its good - And a great location. Shared kitchen was clean and well stocked. Staff understand English. Nice rooms. Great baths. Such a relaxing place.
- Oon Tong (10/5): Good location. Value for money. - Location was superb. Within walking distance to the Vine Bridge. Staff was very efficient and kind. Help us (elderly people) with our luggage - carry up to level 2. Also suggested a nice place for dinner, and another for yummy breakfast, and a short cut to walk to the Vine Bridge. Our rooms (3 rooms) all face the street and traffic noise (though it was a narrow street) could be heard as early as 4 am.
- Goda (9/5): -
- Pathinya (10/5): -
- Dany (10/5): - The accomodations were good. Great location near vine bridge.
The staff was extremely kind and went ouf of their way to help out!
Would recommend
- Olivier (7/5): -
- Melinda (10/5): Great few days - thanks - Great kitchen- well equipped and helpful extras provided such as coffee salt and pepper, oil etc
Bath was a treat too. And lastly washing line in room was v practical
- Chloé (9/5): - Tolle Lage, Heizung im Zimmer, sauberes Bad
- Eva Lotte (10/5): Perfekter Ausgangspunkt für das Iya Tal - Sehr freundliches Personal, sehr sauber, Beste Lage, schöne Informationen über das Tal
- Odette (8/5): -
- Muriel (10/5): -
- Gary (9/5): - Great guesthouse, good communication with staff. Highly recommend.
- Jhoana (6/5): convenient - Location is very convenient and the staff is very friendly and speaks English. The walls are thin, and the neighboring room had a child making a lot of noise. The location is also in front of the main road, so the trucks and cars passing by during the night can be annoying. It’s not the guesthouse’s fault, but be aware that if you’re looking for a quiet stay, this place might not be the best option for you.
- Mun leng (9/5): -
- YASUE (7/5): -
- heather (9/5): will stay again - the location was good for us
- Mia (10/5): Comfy, friendly and amazing location - The owner was so friendly and showed us some places to eat (as not much is open past 5pm), and there was lots of info on local attractions around the place. Comfy beds - basic tatami rooms - it looked like one side of the corridor didn't have loads of natural light as the windows were against a wall, but we were fine and you'll likely be out most of the day! Two large bathrooms featuring onsen-style baths which are run at 5pm each evening, but are private, but also feature showers so you can just shower in a huge amazing room at any time. Kitchen clean and well-equipped and common area cosy, with snacks and drinks available to buy. Location is brilliant for local attractions and parking is available 1 minute walk up the road. Loved our two nights here!
- Martin (9/5): -

- Glen (6/5): Ok if you like backpacking - Location: just a few metres from the vine bridge.
Old school hostel with interesting features.
Futons are comfortable (not real futons, that's why).
Had a big ofuro (bath) all by ourselves (family).
Private and free parking (only 2 or 3 spots, beware).
Room big enough for three (tight but ok).
The shared kitchen had everything to cook. Location: very remote, not many options to dine (on weekdays we had only one, hopefully a good one).
Very noisy early in the morning due to being literally on the roads (windows and doors even shattering when trucks passing) - don't know if the rooms on the back are quieter.
Street lights lighten the rooms (same height as the rooms' windows) during night.
Old school hostel so you will probably hear the other guests (we had the hostel all by ourselves so we can't tell but that's pretty obvious).
- John (8/5): - The host/manager was very helpful and we hired bikes for the day which were excellent. The room smelled a bit dusty / damp.
- Alessandro (10/5): -
- Jonathan (9/5): Fantastic budget place next to vine bridge - Excellent location next to vine bridge, big onsen type bath, well equipped kitchen. The staff went out of their way to help, providing local information renting bikes and water equipment
- Mark (10/5): Good place in a good location & no regrets staying. - Great location for touring the area.
Self catering facilities. Not really a problem with the property but unfortunately there were a few rude guests while I was there.
Some guy stood outside my room on the phone for over an hour. (Very thin doors)
Some other guests came crashing in at 1am and made no attempt to be quiet.
- simona (9/5): -
- Johannes Petrus (9/5): - Very friendly host who helps out with a lot of things. The room and bathing facilities are very pleasant.
- Catherine (10/5): - Lovely traditional tatami mat room with a great onsen style bath, which is run at 5pm each day. The staff are very friendly. There is a little shop across the road which sells basic food for breakfast. The rope bridge is only a few minutes' walk down steps across from the guesthouse. Nothing
- Johannes Petrus (9/5): - Excellent location close to bus stops and the first Kazurabashi. The host is very kind and is very supportive in how to best explore the Iya valley area (buses, where to eat).. The tatami rooms are spacious and very comfortable.
- Jasmine (3/5): Freezing cold!!! Don't stay here in winter - Nice location in a beautiful rural spot, near the famous vine bridge. A hot bath was prepared for me (but the bath itself felt a little dirty/grimy). The owner was friendly but didn't speak much English. The room had no heater and was freezing cold!!!! I had the most uncomfortable sleep despite piling three blankets on myself. It was horrible and I don't recommend staying here in the colder months.
- christine (5/5): be careful to get a room with windows on the mountains not on a wall - The futons and the onsen are confortable, there s a small kitchen
The owner brought me to the bus stop because the road to get there was going down and then much climbing, i appreciate I reserved a long time ago, the room was one of the most expensive i paid but i was very disappointed. The windows were facing a big wall so no outside light, the smell of closed place in the room was really inconfortable and remain all the time
It s really to expensive for the price compared to other places nearby
- Emilie (10/5): Je recommande fortement ! - Super logement, confortable, gérant très sympathique, très bon accueil
