Guest Reviews
- Rosa (7/5): It was great because we made the most of it, the place just pricey for what they offer, but it was comfortable - Great location and comfortable place. Was easy enough to check-in / out. It looked clean. The third floor!! It takes ages but it’s not so bad! The main issue is that the place is advertised as an apartment but it’s actually just two rooms, only one has the bathroom. The kitchen doesn’t provide anything to cook or warm up food so you can only use the coffee machine and fridge.
Nowhere to sit and eat either. It says there’s a balcony but it’s not really anywhere where you can sit there either.

- Viktor (9/5): - Sehr gute Lage!

- Charles (4/5): Good location but definitely not worth the money i felt like i paid for 2 plain rooms, whilst i was expecting something - The bed is comfy and the location is in a great place Rooms are not big, very plain, and the lights in the rooms are not bright enough, the toilet sink kept filling up because of drainage issues, no space to put your suitcase a wardrobe would’ve been nice to put up your clothes and in all it didn’t feel like it was worth the money i payed
- Gary (6/5): - Rang the owner and he gave us the key bin number On the images online it gives the impression that this is an apartment when in reality it is just two rooms, one with a sink and fridge in and one with the shower room/toilet. It would be better expanding on the kitchen - with a cooker, taking the bed out of that and putting in some seating, Then advertising it as a one bedroom apartment.
- Elizabeth (7/5): Appears to be good but be aware of the multiple flights of narrow winding stairs and that the rooms are separated by a l - Good location. Full disclosure we ended up not staying at this location as, when we got there, we saw there were many flights of narrow, winding stairs as the apartments were at the top of the building. My suitcase was 23kg and my friends was not much less. I should have read the reviews more thoroughly and maybe I would have picked up on this. To be fair there was a young man on site who would have carried the cases up but it was all too steep and narrow for us over 55s. In addition, the rooms were separated by a landing with one having the toilet and the other having a kitchenette. Also not ideal. We ended up forfeiting our payment and going to a hotel.
Great location and the apartments looked fine but were just unsuitable for us. They would be perfect for some other people.
- Andy (6/5): Great location, great sleep - Location was great, Rooms are fine but can't understand why kitchen was in one room and bathroom in other room and a little hallway between both rooms, only one set of keys so couldn't lock door, but did feel safe ,
- natasha (7/5): -
- Martina (2/5): Mice were found running in the rooms - Very central location There was mice in one of the rooms and nothing was done about this. Disgraceful and disgusting
- Poole (3/5): - We liked the rooms but we didnt sleep a wink as there was mice in the room eating our food and scurrying around it was horrendous woth no staff at all to help The mice and mosquitos
- Ann (2/5): - Description of the property did not reflect the difficulty for renters with disabilities or age related issues. We would not have rented this property as our family consists of two 70+ year olds and one younger daughter with knee issues.
Bathroom set up is not convenient for a two bedroom as the bathroom is located inside one of the bedrooms.
- Kym (6/5): Clean, central accomodation that presents some challenges - The property is centrally located and an easy walking distance from everything. There were some lovely restaurants beyond Rembrandtplein (which was very active until well into the morning hours). It was very clean and enough space for us. Communication with hosts was prompt. The configuration of the bedrooms across the passage can present challenges. Kitchen in one, bathroom the other, with only one key to lock the rooms meant one person had no key to leave. No towel rails. The front bedroom closer to the street has the noise at night. The other room bed mattress dipped.
- Anthony (9/5): Perfect perch at the center of the city. - Its position. While having a wide potential, the flat seemed furnished barely enough to meet requirements. Still, not bad. Only improbable.
- Olivia (8/5): Lovely place and great location!! - Lovely rooms and perfect location! It’s 2 separate rooms and only one bathroom in one. Stairs are also really steep but other than that great place.
- Max (8/5): -
- Andrew (8/5): - I wouldn't class this as an apartment. Its 2 separate rooms with a shower and toilet in one room and the kitchen in the other.
- Michael (4/5): Disappointing - The Location and the beds were comfy The lay out does not work! You have no way of locking the door from the inside. If you are looking for a 2 bedroom apartment, this won’t work for most. One room has the bathroom one has a basic kitchenette. And the stairs are in between. And the stairs! Be prepared!
- Adela (6/5): Pleasant - Please be precise if it comes to description of the apartment. I was told there will be two pairs of keys and there was only one. On the top floor, there is only tiny balcony. The apartment is not appropriate for older people and if you combine group of four people. It is on the top floor, kitchen is in one apartment a toilet in the other.
- Amy (4/5): Misleading. - Falsely advertised, says it’s 2 bedroom apartment when it’s not at all. There is two seperate locked rooms one with the bathroom and one with the kitchen. Had to ask for a spare key so we can safely lock up and still access both rooms!
- Tanya (8/5): Very good -
- Jeff (3/5): Overpriced, and not advertised for what it is - Good location but it’s not an apartment. It’s 2 seperate rooms at the top of a long, narrow and winding staircase. One room has a bed and an ensuite while the other has a bed a sink and a fridge. Neither room has anywhere to sit except the bed. If you are fit, like toting luggage upstairs negotiating obstacles on the way, don’t care whether the lower flats catch fire because you’re not getting out, then this is the place for you. The views are non existent, and you feel that for a good night sleep you need to lock yourself in. Do yourself a favour and stay in a hotel.
- Pearl (6/5): Great location, not all anticipated amenities expected. - The host communicates quickly and did accommodate our early check in request.
The unit is two bedrooms, across a hallway from each other. Doors can/should be locked at night as hallway can be accessed from entrance, if you climb 3 flights of narrow stairs.
Unit was quiet, even though it was close to all the pubs. One bedroom also has the bathroom, the other the kitchen. Not necessarily ideal depending upon your group.
No laundry services, unless the laundry mat down the street counts. (one of key reasons we selected place was to be able to do laundry mid vacation).
- Pamela (8/5): Very good - It was 4 floors up a narrow circular staircase. With luggage it was a heart attack waiting to happen.
1 bedroom has the bathroom and the other bedroom has the kitchen. Choose the bedroom with the bathroom is my advice.
- George (9/5): Amsterdam with friends! Great apartment - Great location and extremely clean.
I actually didn’t mind that it was split by a hallway even though it thought I would be. Even with the doors unlocked I felt very said being protected by the enormous amount of stairs. The stairs are a killer. Especially trying to drag 1 32kg suitcase up and down was really hard and a little scary .
The reason I booked an apartment compared to a hotel was I was really hoping to have a seating area opposed to being stuck on beds. It’s a great apartment but I would seriously qsk the owners to wider something more that the current awaiting of 2chais and maybe invest in dom built in wardrobes.
That’s than those 2 points, everything else was great!
- Charlotte (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chloe (7/5): Clean and good location, weird set up of rooms - Beds were comfy, kitchen and bathroom were clean. It was in a good location The set up of the rooms was weird. The bathroom was accessed by going into one of the bedrooms. The kitchen was in the other bedroom. Also it wasn't very safe as there was another apartment through our locked door and no clear note of that. We had keys to lock one of bedrooms but then the other was open.
- Kirstie (6/5): Pleasant but could have been better - The word “apartments” and photos are misleading. The set up is actually 2 bedrooms set over a public corridor. 1 houses the kitchen and the other the bathroom, so the rooms need to remain unlocked at night for both guests to be able to use the bathroom at night. The room set up, and no communal seating area. Arrived late at night and the keys weren’t in the safety box, so had to wait for the owner to bring them over. The owners was there quickly, but it would have been easier had the keys been there in the first place
- Kyle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mcveigh (7/5): Good - This is not an apartment this is two rooms at top of house
Very noisy down stairs on first night till 3.00am, apartment below.
- Abi (10/5): Amazing - Location and value for money nothing
- Ausra (8/5): Very good -
- Madeleine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vladimir (7/5): Good -
- Ravikiran (8/5): Very good - bed linens, cleanliness, pillows etc 3 FLOORS to climb and no cooking stove
- Diane (6/5): Disappointing - Location and clean It wasn’t actually an apartment. It was two individual rooms separated by the stairs landing. One room had a bathroom and the other had a kitchenette We had to leave the rooms unlocked at night so the other room could come in to use the bathroom Not so secure. There was nowhere to hang clothes or towels. There was no blind on the bathroom so the high rise hotel visitors next door could look straight in. It had a little table and chairs on the balcony in the pictures but there was none and could not fit one. Curtains were far too long on the balcony doors.
- Sebastian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Manuel (3/5): Dreadful and never again - nothing there were 2 separate rooms with same lock and one key - bed and kitchette on one side and bed & bathroom on other - noone could lock their door at night in case other side needed to come use the bathroom - there was a flat just below us so we did not feel safe as our doors were always unlocked. Smell of dope smoking from coffee shop across street constantly drifted up the staircase. No blind on v large bathroom window with looked directly onto shower unit (put up makeshift towel). Balcony outside looked onto a flat roof filled with water - hence many mosquitos. Cups and kitchen material were filthy - it felt as if renovations had finished just prior to our arival. Nowhere to place personal belonging and clothes as both rooms filled with ornaments (lamps & pillows) for decorative purposes to maximize photos for ad. Upon arrival I did call to ask about key/lock and window without blind - but never heard back.
- Haidee (10/5): Lovely city, cute apartment! - It was clean and bright. Had air conditioning and heat. Nice decor, very comfortable. Nothing but a few quirks to be aware of. All the stairs we saw in Amsterdam are quite steep - here also. It’s on the third floor so just be ready to carry your bags up! Also the two bedrooms - one has a bathroom, the other has a little kitchen. Finally, the locks are a bit tricky. Just be patient! It will work.
Office was responsive to questions.
- James (10/5): Had a fab stay, gd having an apartment rather than a hotel - The location was spot on
- Tom (8/5): Very good - Great location, easy to walk to anywhere within the main city centre. Easy to get to from the airport.
- Mcfromag (9/5): Superb -
- Emma (6/5): Pleasant - Was very chilled The stairs were too much it's not an apartment
- Robin (7/5): Overall welcoming property at a nice location with a balcony to satisfy smokers. Seemd to be of good value. - Nice large fridge. Modern bathroom with a nice shower. Comfortable Beds and AC. Good central location. Chill host. Balcony was smaller than expexted and wasn‘t protected from rain. I saw a mouse once but it didn‘t bother us. Only annoying thing is that the both rooms aren‘t directly connected so you have to leave them unlocked for everyone to walk arround both rooms and use the bathroom and access the fridge.
- Noga (7/5): Good - Difficult to get there, people go in there, full of stairs
- Mackara (10/5): I was pleasantly surprised that the top floor apartment was spacious, cute and clean in a great location.. - I loved the kitchenette, mini fridge, the spacious rooms and bathrooms, the cleanliness and the location. NA
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lila (5/5): Passable -
- Zhanina (8/5): Very good -
